I just saw a promo for "Howie Do It" on NBC in January. I am in pain! I cannot believe that kind of garbage is going to get a time slot over Lipstick Jungle. You are pathetic NBC!!! Is that what you really want representing network? Lipstick Jungle is an amazing show and you are letting it waste away on Friday nights with no promotions. You are trying to kill our show!

ok i have been looking for some lipstick jungle blog sites ,I guess i found it , anyways i am big humongous fan of this show . what is the deal ! i kinda figure out why the ratings were going down .where is the nico that i loved? the backstabbing, headbitting editrix with heart of silver and a fetish for jimmy choos. now it was replaced by a mid life crisis, sappy hormonal imbalanced with a wrong taste for a rebound guy, the guy looks like Tiki Barber, so not in the chemistry, can we leave the needy ,vulnerable , naivete part to the asian girl, she plays it very well. ok you got me on a very ascertive, pushing the boundary bitches pilot that we loved now its back in the stone age again ,sappy emotional not so good speacially in this econmy. so please save my favorite show i love it to death

I've read the description on Chapter 20 on the the boards... I guess we are not getting a happy ending =( It's definitely better than the other one where there was no hope but I am not very happy with the real one either.

The show is great and we really need another season. So many women relate to this show on so many levels. NBC...please don't cancel the best show on your network, not to mention all of TV. Do you really only want to be known for talk shows and reality shows? Way to send your network into a downward spiral fast! Please order more episodes so we can get the real Nico back that we know and love!!! Strong, successful at all costs, out for #1, a little bitchy not hormonal and sensitive! Lipstick Jungle is a fantastic show, I only came in on it this season, but I've already asked for season 1 for Christmas. I really want there to be a season 3 --I hear the rumors that NBC says its gotta go. Thats so typical of NBC --they never know a good show when they have one. The 2nd part of this season was pretty disappointing but what series doesn't have a bad season? Please NBC order season 3!

I was sad that there was no Lipstick Jungle tonight. I rewatched last week's episode instead. I loved the scene with Nico and Kirby! I really want to see them together again. Viewers...please keep spreading the word about the show...it will be such a shame if NBC cancels it. There is nothing else like it on TV. This is the only show I look forward to. The cast is amazing and has such great chemistry. If NBC would promote the show and give it a chance many more would watch it and be hooked!

Is it possible for another network to pick up Lipstick Jungle if NBC is not interested? I know the ratings are not high enough, but a better network that actually has viewers that watch something other than reality shows would definitely do better than NBC. Other networks would also market the show. How do viewers know to watch it when NBC constantly changes the day and time and never runs any promotions? I have so many friends that love the show, but thought it was no longer on the air. Get it together NBC!

I do not think NBC wants this show to suceed. They do not promote it, they change the times and days that it airs. NBC is going down the tank quickly. I don't know why they have it in for this show, maybe it is the production cost or they don't like the crew. whatever it is, they need to save it so not to piss off so many viewers. I do not watch anything else on NBC. How many Law and Order shows can be created.

NBC please don't cancel Lipstick Jungle!!!! I read that LJ may need at least a million more viewers for the next 2 episodes that will air on Jan.2 and 9th for consideration of renewel. Thats going to be very very hard because NBC doesn't promote the show. Why don't you NBC? I think you have already sent it to "No Man's Land". All it takes is a little common sense like promotions, cast on front of mags, cast on talk shows,put it on a day and time and let it GROW, posters of these girls on the Maybelline isle in the HUGE department stores. Just how many people visit Wal-Mart and Target per day across the US that could see Vic, Nico, and Wendy's pictures on the Maybelline isle. It's NOT that hard NBC!!!!!!!!

It's hard to go on one week without the show. I normally txt my girl friend 10 min. before to reminder her the show is about to start (she got 2 kids, I understand). I can't wait for what's going to happen on the next episode and I really, really hope NBC will keep the show going.

one silly question... IF the show got cancelled, the finale will be similar to the original book ending?

NBC keeps saying they want LJ to succeed, but why are they expecting the show to do this with no help from the network. Aren't you supposed to get behind the shows you create? If it is true that LJ needs 2 million more viewers to get a third season, then give it a chance to reach that number. PROMOTE THE SHOW for the next two weeks!!! You have no problems promoting the rest of the junk on your network. Please tell us what the real problem is with this show? I can't figure out why you hate it so much! There is nothing else like it on TV. The cast is amazing and the storyline is so refreshing. The friendship between the girls seems so real and is so relevant. Everyone I know can completely relate to this show. If you got out there and marketed it, you could get more than 2 million additional viewers. How could Maybelline not have end aisle displays with the girls in all their major retailers...Target, Walmart, CVS...do some marketing NBC!!! Let viewers know this show is out there. I love this show. Seriously. The script is great. The three stories are intriguing. It's great entertainment. The acting is great. Kim Raver is a superb actress and I follow her career. I've been watching her work since she was on Central Park West. Don't throw away Lipstick Jungle. Give us some good drama and girlie stuff to watch to help us get our minds off of our problems for an hour a week. Is that so much to ask?

Seriously, don't be like Vivendi Entertainment, which prevented Jane Jensen from telling her readers how the great love story between Gabriel Knight and Grace Nakamura would end. It's been almost 10 years since Vivendi prevented Jane Jensen from telling the story, and her readers still want to know how it would have ended. Great show NBC. Don't cancel it!!! I know ratings are where the money is, but are you sure you have it right for this show? Isn't there another way to look at them. DVRs are here to stay and when you give a show a bad time slot, viewers will DVR it instead of watching live. Everyone I know loves this show...can we really all be wrong? The other shows we like on other networks are big hits...I think NBC is doing something wrong. Market/promote this show like you do your others and the ratings will rise. You don't give this show any attention. Why do you have it in for Lipstick Jungle? Your network can't handle strong women?

Kim Raver does an amazing job portraying Nico. I was really looking forward to a third season. There is so much more that could be done with the Nico/Kirby relationship. Why haven't the actors, along with writers & producers, gotten together to promote LJ on their own? Does anyone think they are under some type of restraint? Robert B. did say a couple of words on this blog, but other than that, there has been nothing. Maybe they are under a gag order, a wait and see type of restraint from NBC. Why? This show has an excellent opportunity to get big name guests to come on just by the sheer nature of the plot. The problem is, it needs to get its ratings up before any A-list celebrity will appear. Maybe if one could be persuaded to take a chance as a favor to maybe Brooke or Kim, then that might start to pull in the numbers that the show needs to survive.

I love LJ and have enjoyed both seasons very much. I've actually enjoyed the writing in season 2 even better-seems to be more personal and real. It's a sign the show is growing and has the chance to give the fans more and more. NBC please don't cancel Lipstick Jungle!! I just don't understand why you don't promote it. Another fan commented here that she visited the NBC store in New York and couldn't find ANYTHING with Lipstick Jungle on it. Even the sales clerk couldn't find ANYTHING!!!! That's just unfair NBC. You are making a big mistake NBC. Do not cancel Lipstick Jungle! How can you let the 5,000 Nielsen homes determine whether this show lives or dies? Can't you see the numbers don't make sense for this show? This show has a strong fan base and it could grow if you would give the show a chance. You are passing up a big opportunity for a hit show...something your network could really use at this point! Try promoting Lipstick Jungle and supporting advertisers in creative ways. Do what you are doing on the show with Apple and Maybelline with additional products and renew for one more season. How can you let such a great show and cast get away from you?

Please do not cancel Lipstick Jungle! This show could help attract new viewers to your network if you would give it a chance. Most people that I have polled say this is the only show they watch on NBC. Do you really want all these viewers to never tune into your network? If you came up with better/more relevant shows to air along with Lipstick Jungle, I am sure you could get the ratings up. You really have not given this show a chance. The ratings are not a true measure of this show NBC. You have endless opportunities to promote this show and make it huge for your network and your advertisers. Women in the advertising prime target are clamoring for a show like this...you just have to let everyone know it is out there. How come it is never mentioned during Access Hollywood? Why aren't you doing more celebrity cameos and promoting them before they appear? You could not have a more perfect show for this. Magazine editor, movie producer and fashion designer as your leads...you could have someone amazing on the show each episode if you got your act together! How could you let such an amazing cast down by canceling this show? Please give it one more season to catch on. Air it on the same night at the same time each week and promote it between episodes. Please give it a chance NBC. So far it has been a marketing disaster on your part. There is no reason this show should have such poor ratings! There is nothing else like it on TV and it is what viewers are looking for!

Although I am a loyal NBC viewer (Today show, news, Jay Leno, Meet the Press), Lipstick Jungle is the only prime time show I watch on NBC. Face it, your network has been unable to come up with any new dramas worth watching. I used to watch ER and Law and Order, but they are both way too old and depressing at this point. I also am looking for something more upbeat and escapist to relax to in the evenings after a long day. Lipstick Jungle is the perfect show for so many people. Why can't you help make it a success? If you cancel this show, I have no faith in your network! This is one viewer that will be watching another network.

What I don't get why Numbers is surviving on Friday nights on cbs and Lipstick Jungle isn't???? Who watches Numbers??? I think Friday night is a great night to air Lipstick Jungle as all of us Mom's are too tired to go out yet want to relax. What could be better than living vicariously through these three interesting women. Lipstick Jungle came on shortly after Chasmere Mafia and that was a big problem. The shows were too similar. Keep Lipstick Jungle on Friday nights and change the introduction music and your audience will grow.

You must be able to figure out a way to make the numbers of this show work. How could you let such an amazing concept and cast go? You will be sorry in the long run. This show could be the next big hit if you give it a real chance. Ilene, I was hoping for an update today. Is there any chance that NBC is going to promote the show this week? Or are they just going to keep viewers in the dark as to when new episodes of Lipstick Jungle will be airing next? People can't turn on a show that they don't know about. There are only two episodes left, and I will be so sad if the show is cancelled. I just don't see how we get a third season out of two more episodes and no promotions.

Lipstick Jungle is such an amazing show with characters and story lines that I can completely relate to. It is so refreshing to have a fun, upbeat show to watch on NBC. Please don't cancel it NBC! I certainly won't be tuning in to all that reality junk that you are planning to air instead of Lipstick Jungle. Spend some money and promote this show. Then maybe you can have a successful drama and not just reality junk on your network.

Great show! It is now my favorite over Grey's Anatomy and Brothers and Sisters. I cannot believe NBC is thinking of canceling it. Big mistake if you do. There is nothing out there like this show right now. It could be huge for you NBC!

Only 5 nights until the next Lipstick Jungle airs. Are you going to promote it this time around NBC? After several weeks off, you really need to let people know the show is back on. This Friday is still part of a holiday weekend. Most people will have plans, so you really need to promote it to get people to watch it live. I do not understand why you put no effort into this show. You could at least promote the last two shows and see what happens.

Please give us an update Ilene. I can't see the Neilsen numbers rising much for the next two shows. Those numbers are based on such a limited sample of viewers and those people are obviously not into this show. I still don't see how they can possibly be representative of all viewers. I for one would never consider being a Neilsen viewer. It is also tough for ratings to rise with no promotions from NBC. Could another network pick this show up?

I am sorry but I cannot go to the library today to check on the exact People issue. I believe it was the December 22, 2008 one. It was December 20 something anyhow. The article is about Lindsey Price and she says that the show is on a break and is NOT YET CANCELLED. Does anyone have this issue of People? It is not a tiny article. NBC please don't cancel Lipstick Jungle. Best show on TV. NBC this could be your "Grey's Anatomy" for your network if you would just give it chance. I'm still left wondering the huge lack of promotions, and markerting what your deal is as far as a network. Me and millions of other fans think it would be a huge mistake to cancel Lipstick Jungle. Also this is the 21st century and the issue with DVRing and not LIVE viewing is just crazy. Live viewing, on-line, and DVRing should be counted for as far as ratings go. Come on NBC.

The ratings from the last 2 episodes which will be aired on Jan.2 and 9th then NBC will deside if the show returns. The show needs at least 1 million MORE viewers for these episodes-don't know if we'll get those much needed viewers with the lack of promotions. Miracles do happen, in this case hope for one!!!!!!

Robert Buckley co-hosted the last hour of the today show this morning and once again, NBC did not capitalize on a Lipstick Jungle promotion opportunity. I just do not get it. NBC never gave this show a fighting chance from the start. Why didn't you have them play the clip where Hoda and Kathie Lee are on the final episode if Lipstick Jungle? Why didn't you run promos during the commercial breaks for Lipstick Jungle with Kirby in them? You are already promoting shows for next week instead of this week's Lipstick Jungle. This would cost NBC nothing additional. They just must hate the show and want it to fail.

Hoda asked Robert Buckley about the fate of Lipstick Jungle on the Today show this morning and he gave the standard party line...we are waiting until after the last two episodes to hear whether they are adding a third season. Both he and Hoda looked very uncomfortable with the discussion...they obviously did not feel good about NBC making them mislead all the Lipstick Jungle fans. I just do not understand what NBC is doing. They have obviously already cancelled the show, but feel the need to make fans crazy by not officially announcing it. They put no effort into promoting the show, yet keep saying they are passionate about keeping it and are trying to get the ratings numbers up to a respectable level. They have not tried since the beginning with this show and seem to be purposely trying to make it fail. Lipstick Jungle is a great show and could have been a success if NBC had wanted it to be one. I guess they just want to be the reality/talk show network. Good luck with that strategy!

Has anyone spoken with Michael Patrick King (Sex and the City producer)? Talk about a man that understands what women want! He could do wonders with Lipstick Jungle! He would actually market the show and make sure it was not always on the chopping block. Candace...please take Lipstick Jungle somewhere where it is appreciated. Women want/need this show!!! Save the show.. by promoting it NBC, like others have already posted.. it is a great show,, just PROMOTE it... and stick to the slotted time so people (I am sure mostly women) can schedule it in their busy lives. Also, as a lot of people have already said... w/ WOMEN as your main audience why is advertising an issue, when women are the targeted demographic for advertisers.

COME ON NBC. You've got to be insane to take off LJ. You can't compete with Desparate Housewives unless you give us LJ. If you keep cancelling shows you WILL lose fan loyalty to your network. What could you possably replace it with that is worth watching. Not another stupid reality show (Mama's boys, Howie Do it). We have enough horrifing crime in society and don't need to be reminded with all the criminal shows you have on air. Give us a show we can enjoy and not get depressed by. Give us our girls we love and don't cancel LJ.

I love this show! I am taking all the steps to help SAVE it! I hope everyone else will do the same. It is the only show I truly look forward to every week. I personally like it on Fridays evening as I teach and look forward to the weekends and Friday is my only wind down time. I could and would make time regardless though of what ever night/time it was on, as I am sure you all would too. KEEP UP THE FIGHT, THIS DRAMA NEEDS TO BE SAVED. THE REALITY CRAP OUT THERE HAS TO GO, KEEP THE GOOD STUFF LIKE LIPSTICK JUNGLE.

I surely hope that nbc is not "stupid" enough to cancel this show when viewers are just starting to find it/get into it!! This is the ONLY show worth watching on a Fri., Sat., or Sun night. Why do the networks think that we are all out dating on the weekend nights? They need to keep more shows on, like this, that appeal to the viewers over 30. We are the ones who pay our cable/TV bills and want to relax to a good show on a weekend night. This show has more appeal than "Sex and the City" because even men can relate to the great cast/story lines/ family sense/business sense/ and it can captivate more than just the very young (as Sex and the City), by having real life situations that are not just all about dating and fashion. These characters seem "real", and they have jobs and families and have to deal with real life situations. We are all sick of the fake reality shows, the stupid talent shows, dieting shows, and crime dramas. This is a good show and the writing is so good that a family can actually view it without worrying about the language/content for kids. If nbc takes this show off, I will just go back to the cable channels. This is one of the ONLY shows that I have actually looked for on the prime time/regular channels for a long time. The only other show I look for is "Brothers and Sisters". The rest are mindless crap that make us look like a stupid audience. I'll tune into the old reruns of Seinfeld and Frasier before I watch another talent show, reality show, diet show, makeover show, crime drama... Am I the only viewer who has had it with the awful new shows on "regular" TV? I only tune in to these channels anymore for the news. The rest is made for morons. Why do we have to pay for 300 channels of awful, repetitive shows because every time a good one comes along, they only show a few episodes, then, it goes on break or they cancel it for another mindless reality/talent show. We are sick of watching people sing/dance/diet/build houses/do makeovers/talk shows/info.-mercials/gruesome crime scenes/detective shows, etc.... Lipstick Jungle is refreshing and you are silly to can it for another mindless show.

That was so well said Cate!!! It's the only thing on tv that women can not only relate to, but look forward to. It was the one and only show that I could not miss. I would even record it and watch it a second time.
