I'm not the only fan that has noticed this issue. It's obvious the network has set the show up to fail!!! Someone please step in and TRY to save this show. If it can't survive on NBC please take it to another network.

Thanks for the update! I am looking forward to the next two shows, but am sad that we might not see a third season. NBC is pathetic. They obviously did not want this show to succeed from the beginning and have done nothing to promote it along the way. I can completely not understand their thought process. Lipstick Jungle has so much going for it and the viewer that tunes in is an advertiser's dream! The reality show ratings may be better amoung Neilsen viewers, but that system is outdated and needs to be replaced. DVRs and on-line viewing are here to stay and NBC should have found a way to capitalize on those viewers as well. What advertiser wants a bunch of couch potatoes watching their shows. They want consumers that are out in the marketplace shopping and purchasing thier products. I believe the Lipstick viewer is this consumer. NBC is making a big mistake by not renewing this show. I am at least hoping we are not left completely hanging.

Starter Wife ads have been on the Lipsitck website and NBC's website for a long time now. Has NBC decided to get behind that show. Starter Wife would have been a perfect show to air before Lipstick Jungle on the same night. The two shows would have similar viewers. Is it getting so much attention because Debra Messing is nominated for a Golden Globe? The show is ok, but Lipstick Jungle is a much better show with a lot more potential! The only good thing about the Starter Wife is Debra Messing. The rest of the cast and the writing is weak! NBC has no ability to evaluate and market shows as evidenced by its overall weak line-up. Why not try promoting the last two LJ episodes...or are you afraid the show will actually be a success?

I actually like Griffin and Nico. I think that breaking Nico and Kirby up was the right decision by the writers. It makes sense because Nico is in a different phase and both Nico and Kirby want different things. I am interested in seeing what life would be like if Griffin and Nico started a new romantic relationship. Plus there are not many interracial relationships on television right now, this could be really interesting.

When Robert Buckley was hosting the last hour of the Today show earlier this week (you might be able to find it on the NBC wesite...it is not on the LJ website since this one never gets updated anymore), Hoda very nicely gave him an opportunity to put in a plug for his show, Lipstick Jungle. He seemed very nervous to say much of anything about the show and certainly did not try to encourage people to watch it on Friday. He actually only mentioned that it was going to air next Friday 1/9 and did not really mention the show on 1/2. NBC must have told him not to say much about the show since they are planning to cancel it. He did briefly mention the final episode that has a cameo with Hoda and Kathie Lee as themselves. They are talking to Nico on the Today show and whatever she says has an impact on her personal life. Robert Buckley said her statements impact their relationship. I don't know any more than that. If the show was not canceled, they certainly would have run some promos during the hour that Robert was on the today show. NBC is only going to run talk shows and reality shows because they have no production costs. They do not know what to do with a drama. Good luck staying a major network!

I love the show and am still holding out hope for a third season, but I think it would have to be on another network. Is that possible? NBC is definitely not picking this show up for a third season. If they truly cared about it they would have promoted it along the way. I think they bought the rights to keep it away from the competition, but then did not know what to do with it once they had it. No one is watching NBC, so they could not get enough viewers for the advertising numbers even if they tried. It is a shame that the show did not start out on another network. To the producers, cast and writers...great show! It is just what we are all looking to watch!

I agree that NBC needs to do something with this gem of a show! Keep it on the air guys! Make sure you promote day changes too!! It took me well over a month to realize the air dates changed to Fridays!! I would tune in every wednesday to get my fashionista fix of Ms. Victory Ford and it wouldn't be on...lol, I finally realized it was on Fridays! Did anyone read the article in People magazine "5 questions for Lindsay Price" date Dec. 22nd? First question was "The rumor of Lipstick Jungle being cancelled". Lindsay's reply was they are taking a break from filming for the holidays and waiting on the ratings for the last 2 episodes and she also said it looks like they'll order more episodes!!!!! I thought this was great news for the show. The true LJ fans have worked so hard to save this show and I hope some good can come out of all of this. If the show isn't picked up by another network we at least need closure to the show.

I am so excited about tonight's episode!!!!!!!! It's been a long three weeks since the show aired. Only two episodes left and I hope NBC decides to renew for a third season. Please NBC read all the comments on the writers blog, message boards, Facebook, HULU, Lipstick Jungle Fanatic, that people LOVE, LOVE the show. BIG MISTAKE if you choose not to renew. Your network needs viewers now.

I absolutely love LJ it is by far the best show ever. if any one can remeberwhen Sex in the city 1st started the ratings weren't high but HBO never gave up unlike NBC not willing to give the show a fighting chance. I am also extremely upset over thge break up between Kirby & Nico they are awesome together chemistry. When I ever saw the previews w/ Nico & Griffin hooking up I was pissed that can not happen. Kirby & Nico love each other so much they belong together. Please I beg you let Nico & kirby be together if not I can't say I will watch the show anymore. NBC needs to understand that people are watching this show in groups! Girls get together to watch and talk about the show, the clothes, the product placement (helloooo NBC - advertisers are getting triple or more for their money)! The "numbers" are not the NUMBERS. Wake up - this is a show that is really getting its legs and will have a dedicated following (maybe I should say larger dedicated following)as time goes on. It is something that could have a bigger impact than SATC if NBC would just give it a decent and consistent time slot, and then promote at least a bit. If we are finding the show and the audience is growing without NBC doing much what could happen if they tried? OMG, it could be one of their top shows!

Do not cancel this show. It has so many fans and a truly loyal following...all without any help/promotions from NBC. Could you imagine how ell it would do if NBC even tried a little to get this show on the radar screen. I loved last night's episode even though I hate to see Nico with Griffin! I can't imagine someone like her would even consider dating her boss. I cannot wait to see what happens next week. Please order more episodes NBC!

The ratings won't go up if Nico and Kirby aren't a couple. The show starting gaining real momentum when they were hot and heavy and then boom, some yahoo thought they needed MORE drama. They haven't been through enough yet (ha!) so now a detour. A detour that I'm afraid will be the end of LJ! Big Mistake writers and NBC! Trying to cover so many issues leaves too many loose ends and its not as authentic as it was at the beginning of season 1. Since the Jan. 9th episode was filmed as episode 20 and not a series or season finale, I doubt any of my questions will be answered. I pray for a season 3 so ya'll can get it right and re-focus on our favorite ladies.

After re-watching many of the episodes again you'll notice Nico is actually a real Witch and she has tooled Kirby around enough. She needs a real kick in the pants cuz she deserves to be Alone. Love Victory and Joe and thought they played their scenes perfectly. Glad Wendy came to her senses and figured things out with Shane. She was being the "wenchy" wife and it was getting old. Love LJ and hope we've done enough to save the show.

Great show that deserves another season NBC. How can you spend so much money producing a show and then just abandon it? Where are the promotions, where is the marketing of this show? You would have to be a truly loyal fan to even realize that the show is still on the air. Imagine the following if you actually promoted it? I am looking forward to episode 20 and am hoping that you come to your senses and order more episodes NBC. This show could be huge for you! It is a marketers dream! NBC...you have nothing new on your network that is hot. Why don't you do the smart thing and invest another season in Lipstick Jungle. This show could bring your network back from the dead! To have such a strong following with absolutely no promotions has to mean that there is something there. The storyline is just what female viewers are begging for and the cast is amazing. Please order another season and make an effort to build the show's viewers. Keep the show on one day and time and do some marketing/promotions. You cannot make it as a major network with only reality, talk and crime. There are many people that want something else from a network.

To tell the truth the whole Victoria and Joe thing was sort of a let down. Here he is totally down and out and the jacket label wasn't all that interesting either. I mean it was good becasue we know that she loves him despite his money but his character will change so much with the loss and the sadness I felt for him out shadowed the happiness of the moment.
But I do love the show.

Quick NBC, order more episodes so you can get the third season of Lipstick Jungle started before your network completely goes down the tubes. I have never visited a show website before Lipstick Jungle and would never have considered protesting a show cancelation until this one. This is a great show that NBC has put no effort into promoting. Please renew for one more season and promote the show. Your network needs viewers and this show could do that for you if you gave it half a chance.

It doesn’t matter what day of the week this show is on. It will remain one of my favorites. As young stay at home mother I look forward to my Lipstick Jungle hour and when I miss episodes I’m sure to check the website for the full episodes.

This show can’t be canceled. In my opinion the real yet glamorous lives of these three women struggling with honest issues sets the show apart from the rest. I never watched Sex and the City, but Lipstick Jungle I can’t miss! In my opinion, Lipstick Jungle is by far 10 times better than any Sex and the City episode!

According to a post on the NBC message board we still need MORE viewers for this Friday's episode!!!! Still need to have a bump in the ratings for renewel. Ilene, how can a network get by without promoting a show? It's just a mystery to me. NBC seems to be keeping it's lips-locked and not saying anything about Lipstick Jungle. No promotions, not much in the news about NBC and Jungle's fate. The articles I've seen are old articles dating back to Dec. That's been a month ago and no new statements from NBC!!! You would think they would atleast make a "new" statement about the compassion for the show and the ratings still need to rise more. My goodness, how much could that COST the network. If the network is hurting that much finanically they just need to go belly up and be done with NBC. Never been a part of something soooooooo frustrating!!!!!!!

Lipstick Jungle needs at least one more rating point this week to have a chance at another season. NBC...could you please at least promote the show this week? I have seen zero promos so far. If Kim, Brooke and Lindsay all appeared on the last hour of the Today show with Kathie Lee and Hoda on Friday and promoted the fact that Kathie Lee and Hoda are making a cameo appearance, I bet the numbers would reach the necessary level on Friday. I would also bring new, first time viewers to the show who would get hooked! I am sure you could arrange that last minute...all three of them want to save the show and live in NYC. I am sure they could make themselves available if NBC would do it. Common NBC...put a little effort into promoting this show!

Ilene your connected with the big people of this show, please work together and save Lipstick Jungle! Please tell Candace, Oliver, Timothy, cast and crew that a fanbase is forming for this show if NBC would give it time. The ratings would've been so much better if NBC had promoted the show more. I am so confused by NBC. What network airs an expensive show with no promotions? Shows do not get renewed without strong ratings and ratings don't go up if viewers don't know when and where to find the show. No one is going to stumble upon this show on Friday evenings! I can understand when a show is cancelled AFTER everything has been done to save it. But LJ never stood a chance from NBC at all. It looks like NBC new show "Super Stars of Dance" had high ratings but a large percentage of viewers comments on the web had very poor reviews of the show!!!!! Way to go NBC, promote something that sucks as bad as that show and you want to DUMP Lipstick Jungle. A show that is 110% compared to others on ALL networks and NBC doesn't know what to do with it. I know what to do, promote the hell out of it and give it a chance to prove itself. How hard can that be for you high payed execs. Give me a break!!!

I have to confess that my favourite character of LJ is Joe! Every women dreams of a man like him, who treats Victory like a princess! I can´t believe that I won´t see a 3rd season. I don´t understand why. The characters are all amazing, the story great... I hope someone in charge do something. Such a good Show can´t be canceled. After My Own Worst Enemy was cancelled the show continued to get promotion after promotion. I would not have known that it was even in trouble if I hadn't been keeping up with the news of Lipstick Jungle. NBC still continued with promotions of "MOWE" up until the very last episode. Lipstick Jungle has received very, very little help from NBC this season. The fans of this ADOREABLE show is so frustrated with NBC. It's heartbreaking to know this show may be cancelled because NBC chooses to kick it to the curb way to soon. Please someone out there listen to all these fans of this show and do something to save it. I BEG you!!! Just scroll through the web and read the comments that fans have taken the time out of there day to post a comment for NBC to reconsider the cancellation of LJ. I've noticed the Maybelline sponsor ads are gone! They could be send on the NBC websites and during the show when it aired. The Jan.2nd episode didn't have a commerical for Maybelline and the sponsor ads on the NBC websites are no longer on. Wonder whats up with that since Maybelline is or was a big sponsor for Lipstick Jungle.

I am getting ready to watch live. I will be so disappointed if this show is cancelled and tired of investing time in NBC shows to only have them prematurely cancelled. For me, first it was Studio 60 and now Lipstick Jungle. I am not the type of person to threathen a boycott but I am questioning NBC's loyality to its viewers. NBC is a business in this to make money...got it. So promote and grow good shows so they make money and stop wasting your viewers time. I will not enjoy watching Leno because I think that because of him LJ is getting pushed aside. I will not watch Leno's show, not a threat just a fact.

I spent the holidays catching up, and now I am hooked! Loving this episode with the Today Show, and seeing Victory's extended family, too. PLEASE KEEP LJ on the AIR! My TV is set to LJ every FRI night at 9pm!

I have dedicatedly followed this show & loved every episode with all my heart and introduced friends to it.

But I can honestly say that the finale was absolutely horrid, and more of a regret than happiness, Im not sure if u guys forgot what transitions mean, or finale is, but as someone who's watched this since the beginning, I HATED IT all thanks mostly to the Nico story. in the whole series it was probably a good choice, but with that episode and the last 2 it WAS HORRIBLE. and if not for the great clothes, I'd consider (argh) nevermind.

Picture highlights at the end looked like an ending to me. Great show tonight for a season final, bad for a series final. At the very least, this show and its viewers deserve a proper ending......in 10 or 15 years.

I love this show! I was sad to see the clips at the end of tonight's show. It really felt that this was the last show. PLEASE don't cancel Lipstick Jungle!!! I was discussing the show with some colleagues. They all said that they would love to watch, but can never figure out when it is on. Of course, I informed them! But, that shows the poor promoting job. It feels that every commercial I see is one for a new reality show, which looks to be pure garbage! I ultimately refuse to watch any reality show. If NBC continues the way they are, I will not be watching anymore shows on NBC, and will spread the word! Either someone in your PR department is doing a poor job, or it is the overpaid execs that want to put more money into their pockets by airing stupid reality shows, that are cheap to make. If NBC continues to perceive their viewers as uneducated ignorant idiots, then they will continue to loose more viewers. The public is speaking, and we want more well written shows. Lipstick Jungle is the perfect show to combine merchandising and advertisers. Whatever happened to the cosmetic ads? If the show combines cosmetic advertisers, merchandising, etc. Then, they will continue to have the reign on a gold mine. In this economy, people are looking for escapism, through the cheapest form possible: television. On my salary, I may not be able to afford a pair of Christian Louboutins or Manolo Blahniks, but I still appreciate watching them walk across my screen. Plus, checking them out on ebay doesn't hurt either! So, keep Lipstick Jungle for your fashionable, educated viewers, and hire a PR department that will do their jobs the right way! Save Lipstick Jungle!

It is not just women that need these good quality shows! My husband even sits down to watch Lipstick Jungle with me. It is the only show that he will watch with me, besides sports. I even heard his friend mention that he enjoys watching it with his wife, as well. So, no mater who is watching LJ, you are getting the viewers. I hope that the series gets renewed for next season. Things are finally falling into place for the ladies. I love Victory and Joe together...so romantic! Looks like Wendy and Shane are okay, but they have their hands full with Maddie. And Nico and Kirby seem to have the sparks flying again! Yea! I love this show. I have to DVR it because I don't get home in time. It keeps getting better and better.

I loved the show tonight!!! All the storylines were amazing! I was sad to see the clips at the end because it made it seem like NBC has given up. I cannot understand why you have abandoned this show. Of course the ratings are not what you need...you never promote the show! There are so many horrible shows out there that the networks stick with and make work. Did you see that ABC started airing Private Practice right after Grey's Anatomy to boost its ratings? Private Practice does not deserve to make it and yet ABC keeps investing in it. Lipstick Jungle is soooooo much better, yet NBC can't find it in themselves to run a couple of lousy promos. Lipstick Jungle is the most marketable yet most undermarketed show out there! NBC you are so lost and confused! This show is your best possibility to bring this network back and gain viewers that are worth having! LONG LIVE LIPSTICK JUNGLE!!! I have been watching this show- every single episode- since its debut last fall. It is the only show that I absolutely insist on watching every week- without fail. I even made a point of being back at my hotel room to watch it last month when my family went to Walt Disney World for a week. I can't believe NBC is even thinking of cancelling it!!:(
The characters are fun, intriguing, powerful, heartwarming, and inspirational. Nico, Wendy, and Victory are all amazing women....yet so down-to-earth.
An hour a week is too short of time....the hour seems to fly by when I'm watching it. Every week, towards the end of the show, I am saddened when the show is over, and I cannot wait to watch it again the following week. If it were a book, I would say it is the #1 page-turner of all time....it keeps me wanting more...episode after episode. Again, NBC, please don't disappoint us by cancelling this amazing show!!!!!!!

When they moved to Friday's I had a difficult time being able to watch at the time it aired. NBC needs to also make it available on Comcast On Demand! We need to have season 3! Please DON'T cancel LJ. I was horrified to see the highlight clips at the end of the episode/chapter 20. I literally wanted to cry that this was the end. I, like the other viewers making comments here, hate reality shows. I don't know who is watching Momma's Boys or Howie Do It but how long could those shows last before people tire of them? I don't understand the popularity of Deal or No Deal as it is. Reality shows are filled with false drama and really could be wrapped in 15 minutes if it wasn't about all the fake dramatic silences and reiteration of the premise of the show. BTW, I still have last week's episode saved because I've been re-watching Victory's proposal to Joe. That was so romantic. It reminds me of why I still adore Andrew McCarthy after all these years (from his Brat Pack days...Pretty in Pink). Forget any of those lousy, over-the-top shows over on ABC. They are unrealistic and feature bad writing. The one hour of LJ flies by for me and I dearly wish there are more storylines to come.

Please do not take Lipstick Jungle off the air. It is a great show that I look forward to viewing every week. However I do not think that it was in the shows (or any shows) best interest to be moved to a Friday night. Please give Lipstick Jungle and its loyal viewers a fighting chance to improve its ratings!!!!

If the statement from US Magazine is true about Robert Buckley getting a new gig, then the video montage like sequence at the end of the episode, was summing up the series not the season. Why bring Nico & Kirby back together if the actor in the role of Kirby has already moved on. I don't think an actor can work on two competing shows on opposite networks. Robert must have known this when he stood in for Kathie Lee after Christmas. He made it sound like there was still hope to save the show.
Why put us through this.

I loved the show Ilene! Thank you for at least leaving us with a happy ending! I can't believe how pathetic NBC is. They never intended on keeping this show. I can't understand why they felt the need to string loyal viewers on when they were never planning on giving the show another look. If they wanted to make a go of the show they would have promoted it during the season. I can't say I have ever seen such poor marketing and underutilization of a great concept. It would be one thing if NBC had a lot of other great shows to fall back on. The network is going to consist of reality junk, old crime dramas and cheesy comedies. No self respecting adult in the target advertisng consumer wants to watch any of that on a regular basis. Did it ever occur to you that the Neilsen ratings are flawed? You really have no idea what a huge success this show could be for you. You could use a show like this to turn your pathetic excuse for a network around. Without a season 3 for Lipstick Jungle, I will not be tuning into NBC. That is not a threat it is a reality!

Fans don't jump to conclusions just YET. I'm not going to believe this show is gone for good until NBC announces it. Yes, last night's episode at the end did seem like it was wrapping things up, but on the other hand the storylines with the characters it was left wide open to pick up where it left off. So, I have faith in Lipstick Jungle it's the network I'm not so sure about. There promotions dept. and marketing just stinks. And that would be putting it kindly!! Lipstick Jungle could have brought in alot more viewers if NBC had just done there job. I think with this show they just didn't know what to do with it since it's completely different than anything in their line-up. What a shame!!! Maybe it will be moved to a network that can take it and run all the way to the bank!!!!!!!

I think this show is great. I hope it doesn't get cancelled. I was researching online and I noticed that the show had decreased ratings as it moved days. The show did the best when the it was aired on Thursdays. It did the worse when aired on Fridays. To me that would be obvious, not as many people are home on Friday night, especially the demographics the shows is aimed towards. Come on! Its like NBC is setting it up for failure.

Well, so long nbc...I faithfully watched Lipstick Jungle since the beginning and I have absolutely loved it. There's nothing else for me to watch on this network. ABC is kicking butt and I hope they grab this show! I watch 2-3 shows on cbs. Only this one for nbc, so...so long nbc!

As a working mother, balancing a career and the children, there is really nothing on television that I can relate to... other than Lipstick Jungle. In fact, I am so busy, that I no longer have time to watch much TV at all. Mindless reality shows are a dime a dozen, requiring nothing of the brain, not to mention one's emotions. But, on a Friday or Saturday night, when my kids are in bed, and I can actually find the time to watch one of the dozens of shows recorded on my DVR, the FIRST, and likely the only program that I will choose, is Lipstick Jungle. I have become increasingly disenchanted with NBC and the entire process of getting caught up in a program, only to have it cancelled. I suppose that my demographic is not important to the executives making the decisions. Honestly, I find it exceedingly insulting that people like me are overlooked in terms of demographics in determining what shows are appealing to television viewers. Perhaps I should read instead? Because if LJ is cancelled, I won't really have anything to watch... at least not on NBC... perhaps I will check out the other networks... or go back to 'cable' channels...

I am keeping my fingers crossed that it will be renewed for another season. 20 was great, the way you wrapped up the story lines brought tears to my eyes. brightonjack, I was responding to the short snippet article under Celebrity News in USmagazine.com. That snippet didn't go into detail. I did go to another source and find out that Robert is doing, or did, the last 2 episodes of an 18 episode season for Privileged. Where he goes from there...it didn't speculate. Maybe he left the door open to return to LJ...if it in fact returns!

There is not a better show out there for working mothers or mothers that did work, but are now at home. We can all really relate to this show and if NBC would just market the show, maybe more viewers would know to turn it on. So many people love it and so many others don't even know that it is on. You have blown an amazing opportunity NBC! If you brought it back for a third season and really marketed it, I think you would not only get enough viewers, but also a lot of DVD sales because new viewers would want to watch the first two seasons. I was just getting into this show/intrigued by the story lines coming.. the writing is great.. the characters are great.. It is the best show since "Sex and the City".,,and, the ONLY show worth watching, esp., on a Fri. bight ar any weekend night when the networks assume that no one is home watching TV/taping it? Why do they assume that we only want to see more ridiculous "fake reality" shows, talents shows, and dating shows? The very young people who watch most of that crap are out and not watching TV. There are the rest of the population who are home and wanting to see some good TV for a change. This show is one that will grow on people. We are just getting into it and enjoying the writing/characters/story lines/fashion, etc. The nice thing is... unlike "Sex and the City".. this show is relative to lots of age groups from young to old. The family dynamics, the relationships, the fashion, the business sense (men even like that), the great photography of NY, and it's not fake/overwhelming like most of the shows about living in NY. It has guts and heart and not just the glamor of the city life. Give this show a chance. The cast, the writers, etc., deserve this. They have done a great job.

Sex and the City took a while to catch on and it eventually became the movie marketing success of the summer. NBC...move the show back to Wednesday night and really promote it this time. Why not run the first two seasons as reruns on Bravo for the next couple of months while you write and film new episodes and promote that an all new season will be back on NBC in the Spring. Market the show and get people excited for a new season and then keep the show on the same night and time for a WHOLE season. The viewers will come and be hooked. This show has a more sophisticated viewer than all that reality couch potato junk that is on your network. You need to give working/busy people a chance to find the show and then make when it airs predicatable. They are not flipping through channels every night hoping to find something to watch. They are turning Lipstick Jungle on because that is the show they want to watch and they know when it is on because you actually decided to promtoe it. Get smart NBC and get yourself a hit show...something you have not done in a long time! Renew this show and then really market it and be consistent. I can't believe you would invest so much in a show and then just abandon it.

Thank you Ilene for a great season finale (I am hoping season is the correct word instead of series)! The show was so touching and easy to relate to. I was happy to see Nico and Kirby come back together. There is so much more to tell about these characters. Please give us a third season NBC! Give the cast and writers a chance to make this show a success!

Reality TV shows get more ratings and they are CHEAP to make. Its more economical. The actors, actresses & writers want too much money. Its an expensive show to make. I am not suprised they pushed this up the air. Rally to the actors & writers of this show to take paycuts! Maybe it will get NBC thinking. The ratings dropped even on at Wednesday time slot. It lost 1/2 its viewers after the third episode and continued dropping. I love this show, but looking at this reasonabily, the profit is the bottom line.

I have never missed an episode of ER since its first season and I love LJ so much that I would miss ERs final season to watch LJ. This is the best show on NBC since ER and if they cancel it I smell low ratings for them. Because I will stop viewing NBC, because if they cancel this show there is nothing left after this season because ER ends and other than LJ there is nothing else on NBC worth watching. KEEP LJ ON...

The weekend is over. The Golden Globes are over. The execs must be back in their offices by now. What is the decision? I love how Lipstick Jungle spent 7 or 8 weeks on Friday night with no promotions and now that you have replaced it with Friday Night Lights you are promoting that time slot every chance you get. NBC wanted this show to be a ratings disaster so they could have an excuse to cancel an expensive show. They wanted the cast, producers and writers to take the blame for poor ratings and cancelation instead of having weak executives that don't know how to market and cultivate good programming take the heat. This is pathetic NBC! ABC could have made this show a huge success. The reason Cashmere Mafia did not make it was the writing was weak, the cast was very weak except for Lucy Liu and the girls' friendship did not seem real. There was no chemistry between them. Your show has amazing chemistry among the girls and the rest of the cast members. That is so hard to find, how can you blow this opportunity NBC??? Do the right thing and bring this show back. It clearly has a strong following if you look at DVR numbers too. Renew for a third season and promote the show this time around. Stop blaming the show and start looking at yourselves. If you cannot make this show work, you should start looking for another job in another industry!

Other than that I cannot come up with a viable reason for why you have completely sabotaged this amazing show from the beginning. Moving the day and time around with no promotions. I am so sad that NBC is thinking of canceling Lipstick Jungle. I love the storylines and can really relate with the characters. Thank you to the cast and writers for putting together such a wonderful show. The season finale was great! My friends and I all look forward to the show all week. The picture of Brooke Sheilds on the front page of the LJ website-she is dressed in the white coat and she is looking up. It's almost as if she is saying "Good bye". The expression on her face looks happy but with a bit of sadness. Every time I look at it, it breaks my heart to think Lj may not be coming back. NBC that is NOT AN OPTION!!!! You have to bring it back or put it on one of your sister channels!

I am watching the final episode right now (again) and I cannot believe NBC wants to cancel this amazing show! The show is not the problem, it is the network it is on. Has anyone noticed that the former NBC comedy "Scrubs" is now on ABC this season? An article I read said that NBC neglected and underpromoted the show and now ABC bought the production and syndication rights to it. Could this be a possibility for Lipstick Jungle? ABC would be a much better network for this show. They actually already have viewers that would be interested in watching it and ABC would promote it! ABC also has much better programing to pair up with Lipstick Jungle as a lead in. Lastly, they have the 10pm time slot available, unlike NBC who has alrady given it away every day of the week. If NBC can't appreciate a show that so many are so passionate about, maybe another network can???

The media amazes me just how far they'll go for a story. The word is already out that the way Jan.9th episode ended is the "series finale" of Lipstick Jungle. And it could be, I'm not in denial here but NBC STILL hasn't made the official announcement regarding the status of the show yet. Hopefully we'll know soon. I just wish the press would back off until then. They wrongly announced in November that the show had been cancelled. Even though the ratings may not have been great at that time NBC NEVER confirmed the cancellation rumours. So false information out there hasn't made this fight any easier for this "gem" of a show. I'm holding on to hope that maybe we'll get season 3. There is always the option of being picked up by another network or going to one of NBC sister cable channels. Just my thoughts!

They keep bringing back all of these reality shows, heck if I wanted to watch reality I can video my own life.....I want LJ!!! This is a show for professional women and it does have issues we run into....it is a great show!!

This show needs to stay on!! I love it so much and it has just begun! I agree that if NBC is stupid enough to not sign on for a third season then take it to another BETER network!

People like me have resorted to casually watching shows online, well past their initial airdate to make sure that there will be enough episodes to watch before bothering to watch them on tv. We've been burned multiple times now and it seems that the networks seem to pull or postpone new seasons for the non-reality shows more than not. What's the point of committing and getting into the show when you just don't know if it will come back? I didn't realize until having read this thread that online viewing does not factor into the ratings that the networks care about. It's really a shame then, as less of the younger demographic watch tv regularly, so more shows get pulled prematurely, in turn, leading to frustration from the remaining viewers and becoming less willing to sit down and watch tv.

I would love see ABC get this show. That netwrok has the audience to support it and ABC would actually promote the show each week instead of hanging it out to dry. ABC was not successful with Cashmere Mafia because the show was poorly written and the characters were unappealing and had no chemistry. That show was horrible. Lipstick Jungle is the best show on TV. I love Grey's anatomy and Brothers and Sisters, but Lipstick Jungle is much better. It would line up nicely with the rest of the ABC shows and could be a big success on that network.

Is NBC even going to make a decision about Lipstick Jungle? How long can they keep the cast, writers and crew waiting? I'm sure at some point they get to start entertaining other offers. They obviously wrote the show off long ago, so I am confused as to why they just don't announce something. Could it be that they are rethinking cancelling Lipstick Jungle? Are they coming to the realization that all their new reality shows are junk? Who wants to watch Howie Do It, Superstars of Dance, or Momma's Boys? They are just copycat versions of other reality shows and we already have way too many out there. How much longer will people sit down and watch two hours of people losing weight? That has got to get old pretty soon. That show is painful! You already have an original idea in Lipstick Jungle...why not cultivate it NBC? There is so much more you could do with this great show. My guess is that they will make the announcement with the same loyality and respect that they have shown to their fans and cast as they have throughout this whole thing. One day we will log on and LS will no longer be listed as a show on NBC. I hope that is not what happens, but I am losing faith in the NBC folks.

I think the Starter Wife is on USA network which I think is an NBC affiliate of some sort. I think the show is a good concept, but the cast is weak. Debra Messing is the best part of the show. Good concept, but needs betting casting and wrting. It would pair up well with Lipstick Jungle though if they could upgrade the show. NBC's programming is so weak there are no shows to lead into Lipstick Jungle and bring in new viewers.

The guy who played Mike Harness on Lipsick Jungle is now on the "Starter Wife". Running Lipstick Jungle and Starter Wife back to back is a good idea. They would have similar audiences and help each other grow. I think NBC and the cable network that the Starter Wife is on are affiliated. An even better idea would be for Lipstick Jungle to move to ABC. Now there is a network that actually has some relevant progamming, unlike NBC. I have it set up on my DVR to tape each show. Does that count in the ratings? I love this show. Why do they always seem to take all the great shows off the air. Still Hope For NBC’s ‘Lipstick Jungle’
Series' survival hinges on fall pilot season.
NBC Primetime Entertainment President Angela Bromstad said the network had not officially canceled Lipstick Jungle at the Television Critics Association winter press tour Thursday(1/15/2009).

She said NBC may look for alternatives for the series, but that it’s part of the conversation for fall.

“We have to see how things go with pilots,” she said.

Great news for Lipstick Jungle!!!! I can't wait to hear the stars comments regarding the recent news of LJ. Brooke S. said from the beginning that the show wasn't canceled and she still had hope! I hope there is more encouraging news to come and hope they'll soon be in production again. I didn't want season 2 to end and can't wait til season 3. Keeping fingers crossed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The show is so expensive to produce. Can a cable station afford it? Will the entire cast stay in place? The cast makes the show...they have such an amazing chemistry. So many questions and so few answers. I still think the audience would have been broader if they would have done a better job promoting and marketing the show. Maybe after a season on Bravo, they could bring it back to NBC. What about HBO or one of the other paid channels? Is that an option?

The show is so expensive to produce. Can a cable station afford it? Will the entire cast stay in place? The cast makes the show...they have such an amazing chemistry. So many questions and so few answers. I still think the audience would have been broader if they would have done a better job promoting and marketing the show. Maybe after a season on Bravo, they could bring it back to NBC. What about HBO or one of the other paid channels? Is that an option?

Why is it that every time I get hooked on a witty, intelligent TV show, it is soon cancelled? This seems once again to be the case with the fabulous show Lipstick Jungle. I have been hooked since the very first episode of Season 1 and was excited and thankful to see it return for Season 2. However, when I tell friends about it, no one else has even heard about this show! This is obviously due to poor marketing on NBC's behalf. You have a gem here that you are giving up on too quickly. Changing the day and time 3x this season has not helped with publicity and has prevented people from finding it. This show has hit just the right blend of escapism and realism that is so satisfying for tired, hard-working, over-extended women like me to watch. The writing is fun, fresh, and smart. The acting is thoughtful and engaging. I can find no fault with the show, only the network, namely NBC's botched job at promoting a sure winner. Please don't cancel Lipstick Jungle. Instead, start doing your jobs and publicize it properly.

With the GREAT NEWS getting out about Lipstick Jungle NOT being canceled you would think Ilene would give us an update. After all this is her show too that she helped put alot of creative writing into. I hope she didn't quit! I think she joined LJ in season 2 and I thought the whole show was better. While I understand Bromstadt's point that the audience was not broad enough in the ratings, I still think the reason the ratings were poor had more to do with NBC than the show. They did not promote the show and contantly moved the day and time around. The show started during the writers' strike and did not really get a real season with the new writers until season two. The Wednesday night time slot looked like a great opportunity, but NBC was so enamored with its other new shows like My Own Worst Enemy and Kath and Kim that they overpromoted those during the Olympics broadcast and gave very few promotions to Lipstick Jungle. Once the Olympics were over, I do not think I saw any LJ promotions. Most people did not even know the show was starting up again in the Fall. The day and time got constantly shuffled, there were no promos during the season, and there were several breaks from programming for debates and holidays, not to mention many rumors of cancelation which makes viewers not want to tune in. NBC...give the show one more season. Run the old shows on Bravo for the next few months while you film new episodes and then bring the show back with a lot of fanfare in the spring. Promote the show on your network and your cable affiliates. Advertise the show in the marketplace (magazine and outdoor ads). Have your stars do the talk show circuit. Line up guest appearances on the show...it has the perfect storyline for that. Market the guest stars like you did Oprah and Jennifer Anniston on 30 Rock and watch the viewers tune in and get hooked. There is nothing like this show on TV and it is so refreshing to watch a show that is fun, glamorous, happy and uplifting while also tackling issues women deal with every day. Your network should remember that shows that showcase tight friendships that others can relate to (remember Friends???)can be very successful if you give them a chance and promote them correctly. Don't cancel this show NBC...it is amazing! How can you walk away from such a great storyline, cast and concept?

Fans...did you know that Lipstick Jungle (4.14 million viewers) outdrew Kath and Kim (4.13 million viewers)and that Kath and Kim got picked up for the rest of the year? NBC...this is a disgrace. I love the show and cannot believe NBC cannot find a way to make the numbers work. When you do not promote a show, the viewers do not know it is on. You have not kept up your part of the deal NBC. The producers have put together an amazing cast, great writing and a wonderful concept that is like nothing else on TV. I heard a rumor thta Lipstick Jungle was canceled!!!! Please tell me that isn't so. I don't watch a lot of TV but this particular show is one of my favorites and I would be so disappointed if it were axed.

I think Bravo would be a much better home for Lipstick Jungle. Maybe they could come up with more relevant programming to air on the same night as Lipstick Jungle. NBC is just not getting how to make this show succeed. I think the viewers are out there for this show...NBC just doesn't even get them to tune into their network. I do not understand how the NBC execs can say that they love this show and want to see it survive when they made no effort to make it a success while it was on the air. The number of promos for the majority of NBC's shows is completely overwhelming. They play them so many times that I can't bear to see them again. On the other hand, once the Olympics ended, there were next to no proms for Lipstick Jungle. And once they moved it to Friday night it was as if the show no longer existed. I know so many people that thought the show was canceled well before the episodes stopped running. Of course the ratings were below expectations...no one knew where to find the show. The only reason I knew was from the website and that could have just as easily never happened for me. I never go to show websites. I only visit the one for Lipstick Jungle because I love the clothes and the music and wanted to find out where to get them. It seems as if NBC wanted this show to fail for some unknown reason. How could making a decision about what to do with Lipstick Jungle be so complicated and take such a great deal of time? Bring the show back already! It is a shame that people only found this show by accident. Just think of all the viewers you missed out on NBC by not promotng this show. Friends and Sex and the City ae both great examples of shows that took a while to catch on, but then were huge fan favorites that everyone talked about. NBC is not giving this show a fair chance...it could be huge! It could bring so many new viewers into your network. I visit this page everyday in hopes the writers will at least post SOMETHING about what is going on with this show... anything.. what people they are talking to.. what plans they have for the show if it is picked up, what type of things they will do to Bonfire or if it will still be running.. or is it "On Vacation" like Lipstick Jungle.
The fans don't respond as much now because we are still waiting for news.. we have posted our thoughts and feelings about this show and where we want it to go.. now if only Lipstick Jungle would make such a passionate leap of faith to help save your ratings and your viewers.
Please keep us in the loop. Ilene was doing a good job at it.. and if you can't have her tell us whats going on I am sure you can get somebody else that works on the show to post something about it.

It looks like all is quite in the Jungle!!! I've read that the show isn't canceled and it could return on one of NBC sister cable channels or Lifetime. I would like to see it on Lifetime-would fit in their line-up. I just wish the NBC would hurry up and announce the future of LJ and tell us what they plan on doing. Fans have known for a couple of weeks that the show isn't canceled and moving to a different but not much since then. Come on NBC, the fans have been on a see-saw since the middle of November and we deserve to know ASAP! I want a date, time and channel for Lipstick Jungle so I'll know where to be tuning into!!!!!!

If the interview with Brooke Shields is correct, I think that is good news for the show. Make some kind of official announcement NBC and put Lipstick Jungle back into production. Most of the show's fans think the show is cancelled. Don't you want to keep the current base of viewers and build from there? Somebody light a fire under NBC!

Love, love, love the show and I think NBC is crazy to consider cancelling it! Bring the show back and market it this time. You actually have to promote a show if you want viewers to know it is out there. Once people watch it, they will be hooked! To Monica: No the show hasn't been cancelled!!!!! The president of NBC announced a couple of weeks ago that LJ isn't cancelled and it could go to one NBC sister cable channels. Keep the faith but it does look like it will be in the fall. I'm guessing!

Read this, looks like NBC is searching for a home for Lipstick Jungle! Lets hope they can work something up and get this show back into production. Not a cheap show to produce so keep those fingers crossed!!!

We probably haven't heard from Ilene etc. because nothing has been officially decided about the fate of the show. I'm sure they are anxiously waiting their future as well. I am disappointed that Oxygen did not work out. What about Bravo? It seems like a good fit there, but maybe the production costs are too high for them as well. I still think the NBC audience would have been much bigger if NBC had actually promoted the show when it was on their network. They just completely abandoned the show when the initial ratings were not what they wanted. Sometimes great shows take a while to catch on. They are also not giving the DVR and on-line numbers any credit. Be creative and get advertising dollars in new ways NBC. This is an amazing show and you need to figure out how to get it back on the air.

I miss the show!! I would like to know when it will be back on. I always looked forward to watching it on my DVR after work on Friday nights.

We can only hope they work out a deal...this show is definitely worth saving! NBC could have made it work if they promoted it.

I think Lipstick Jungle would work beautifully on Lifetime!!!!!! I would like to see it on that channel more than the others. Maybe NBC will work this out and get LJ back into production real soon. I would like for season 3 to get a complete 22 episode order!! Season 1 was 7 episodes & season 2 was 13 episodes. It looks like Lifetime airs Army Wives new seasons in the summer. It would be great if LJ went to Lifetime and aired Season 3 this summer!!!! Fans wouldn't have to wait intil the fall and I'm not sure about LJ staying with NBC. Even if the network strikes a deal with DirecTV I still feel like if the numbers aren't HIGH enough NBC will can it for sure the second time around. Put LJ on a secure network and let it grow!!! Please set this show up for success! It could do so well on the right network. NBC doesn't know what to do with it...I also don't think the Direct TV thing is a good idea. Lifetime or Bravo make a lot more sense. Love the show and want to see many more seasons! I also think they should order a full season. You need to give a show time to come together and NBC has taken such a disjointed approach. Please get it back into production soon...it will be so hard to wait until the fall. I miss it already!

I really miss Lipstick Jungle! There is nothing like it on TV to take its place! It was such a great escape each week and now we just have to wait. Can't you move any faster NBC? According to articles I read about NBC saving Friday Night Lights it took about 2 months for NBC to arrange the agreement. Rumor had it Feb. 2008 that the show would be canceled and the announcement was made in April 2008 that NBC had teamed up with DirecTV to share the production cost of FNL's. It's been about a month since fans heard the news that Lipstick Jungle is NOT CANCELED(YAY!) and NBC was checking into options for the show!! So, fans hang in there and maybe we'll know the future of the best show on TV real soon!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am in the UK and have watched all the shows and have falling in love with the Lipstick Jungle world. Series 2 finished on Monday and I cant believe its all over. Please NBC PLEASE carry on it is fantastic. I will campain on my blog Cavania. Heres hoping for the next series.

Still no new "news" in the Jungle. My goodness NBC just how long is it going to take!!!! How hard can it be.

Please, do not get rid of this show. I've seen many shows and this one is the best, it's my favorite. I know many people agree with me and the problem is not about the show, is about publicity! You guys should focus on the publicity and not in getting rid of this show.

It just makes me sick to think of such a wonderful show being gone from Television.. you know.. even if they just make snippets of the show... (shots into their life/ or bloopers) the loyal fans will gulp it up. I am dead serious. We want to know what is happening... and even brief little 5 minutes spinets of things that might be going on in the girls life right now would be fine.. it would be like things that would make everything line up in the script but not needed.. you know.. just extra bits.. something to keep your fans captivated. No kidding. My major is in Advertising and Theatre. You want to keep your audience and want a group of people to know you are there.. you better be RUTHLESS with you advertising and make sure people know your name. Take notice from ABC and CBS. I am not saying they are better.. I am just saying they have a way to advertise that is beating yours up like a baby with her mama's lipstick. They are using what they have... And you need to also. I am not saying that everyone that loves Lipstick Jungle knows marketing or how to do theatre.. but you have loyal viewers that want to do anything to keep the show on the air. Maybe you should let us fans make some advertising commercials.. like Dove did. You wouldn't be shelling out the extra money for the commercials.. and we all know we would be having fun making them. We are about Family, Friends, and our Careers. Do you understand that? Your channel is based on that too. I am sure the people that work there live by that standard. I know they do. So treat us with the same respect. We are not a bunch of couch potatoes. We are women with dreams who live through the lives of three powerful women, who just so happen to be an inspiration to us. I am hoping your network will realize the folly it will be making if they let this show go... and I believe you will try to fight for this show as well. I am confident you are in the process of signing over the show to next season on NBC or at least to one of your sister stations.

Please Please don't cancel this show. The story lines are great and I think all women can find one of the characters to relate to. Fot me, it is Nico. It is one of the best shows on NBC, but they put it in a not so great time slot on a not so great night and then they moved it! (hint hint NBC!!) Please don't cancel it. What happen to the arrangement with DirecTV that was mentioned in Jan.??? Also the comment from Angela Bromstad about shows that fans loved would not be replaced with other shows. She made that comment around Jan. 15th. Then I read today that Lipstick Jungle is canceled. WTF!!!!!!! This has been the biggest run around I've ever seen and count me in as another LOST VIEWER. NBC you can bet you'll continue to struggle in ratings because your network simply sucks!!!!!

I checked the writers blog for NBC Knight Rider and the writer's for that show has posted something new on a weekly basis. Ilene, one of the writers for LJ hasn't posted anything new since Dec. 30th 2008. It's been months since the fans have heard from her and to me that was a sign that LJ was sent off to die because of NBC. Ilene didn't even come on and post something about the "season finale" and sum it up where the show stood with NBC and maybe its return. I think the people involved with LJ knew it wouldn't return and drug it out as long as they could. Hate it for all the devoted fans and hate NBC even more.

I too will be another viewer that is lost. You had the chance.. and you BLEW it NBC... Guess it will be ABC for now on.

NBC, you are making a huge mistake. The show failed because you let it fail. A new show cannot survive without promotion. Why did you have it in for this amazing show? I am sure Ilene saw the Sunday Styles section...she used to write for it before working on this show. Ilene...why don't you pitch NBC another show to complement Lipstick Jungle, so they can have two good dramas on one night that appeal to the same audience. I cant understand why they cancelled this show!!!!!!!!!! it was definitely underrated and it was so entertaining.. i will miss it so much =-(

It was a great show! I have no reason to watch any shoes on nbc! They don't have anything worth watching now.

IT looks like NBC is getting some trouble from big local stations that don't want to air Leno at 10:00. The Boston market is planning to air news instead. This is what happens to a network with no viewers...they have to cancel great shows like Lipstick Jungle because the ratings stink...but the ratings stink because no one is tuning in, not because the show is wrong. Find a home for Lipstick Jungle NBC before it is too late!

Candace should try and relaunch the show on another network when all the buzz comes out about the new sex and the city movie. This show could be huge if it was on a network that had viewers and actually promoted it. If Lipstick Jungle got half the promos that Southland did, it could have been a ratings success. NBC does not know how to market a show!

I really miss this show. There is nothing else like it on TV. NBC missed a big opportunity for their network. Please find a new home for this show!

I can't believe NBC abandoned this show for the new shows it is promoting. If Lipstick Jungle had gotten the level of promos that Southland and Parks and Recreation have gotten we would have been all set. Southland is yet another cop/crime show...we don't need any more of those and Parks and Recreation does not look funny at all! You know a comedy is going to be bad when the trailer isn't even funny! Bring back Lipstick Jungle NBC!

Parks and Recreation did not do very well considering when they aired it and how much NBC promoted it...looks like another show will bite the dust. Rethink Lipstick Jungle NBC and bring it back in the fall. Give it the level of promotion that you gave Southland and put it after a show that makes sense. I am sure you can get the ratings up and make it a success. Please bring this amazing show back...there is nothing like it on TV!

I'm really into the "Biggest Loser", this season is the first time I've actually tried to watch a reality show (which flood the networks). I was very excited to hear of Lipstick Jungle, non reality...just good writing and a wonderful cast...ABSOLUTELY LOVED THE SHOW...these girls were real and I felt a connection even though my own life is so very different. For LJ I would go online and watch any missed episodes (only happened when the time changed to Friday nights)...One night I was up until 1am watching...My husband thought I was going to bed...instead I took a detour and hopped on the computer to watch MY missed show! Today I popped over to the NBC.com site to see if there were any updates on bringing the show back...honestly at 43 Lipstick Jungle made me feel impowered just as "Pretty Woman" had back in the late 80's/early 90's (no I'm not a hooker), just a great woman...with great friends...PLEASE BRING THE SHOW BACK:(

I am shocked that the show is gone. So different than anything else on your network NBC. So refreshing and fun! Please reconsider!

Best show ever!

Sooooo upset to be hearing that the show is cancelled. Just bought the Season 2 DVDs and rewatched... I love this show, I love these characters. I unfortunately believe that the 'suits' of the world do not believe this show about 3 strong women can take off w/o it being as racey as S&TC. Its amazing and much needed...

I agree with Joy. The show was amazing. The characters so great! It is a shame that the suits at NBC could not believe in it and get behind it! They obviously do not know good shows based on what is left on their network!

It really stinks that the show is canceled.... Couldn't get enough ... Perhaps, there is a blog story line on the Internet .........

I was so looking forward to seeing a continuation of this show in the fall. I can't believe NBC canceled Lipstick Jungle. You must not have the right people at your network if you cannot make such a great concept with an amazing cast succeed. I hope someone else picks the concept up!

I still miss it.. I know they have tons of blooper reals they could release.. and it's killing me that you ended it the way you did.. you know what.. I am proud in the fact There isn't a spec of tv on NBC that I would want to watch.. they had a chance, they blew it, along with a bunch of other shows.. it just proves how superior the other networks are becoming to NBC. I'm proud of the the way the other networks have stepped up and started to fill in the gaps with better shows now.. and not the ridiculous crap NBC is promoting (or not, in some cases).

Please bring back Lipstick Jungle - You should have advertised it more! No one in Canada had even heard of it - and you kept moving the time around - and made it compete against seasoned competition. Boo hoo...was a mature look at life and challenges. Hopefully you don't have the writer tied into some ridiculous contract that the show cannot succeed. I was a faithful LSJ viewer.
