I love Kirby and Nico, BUT very excited about the Nico - Griffin relationship!! I like their chemistry and Griffin is just as yummy to look at as Kirby! LOL!Save Lipstick Jungle!!!

I enjoy the way the writing is going. It is so much more realistic. Life is not always taking place on cloud 9. Keep it coming! Please!

Griffin is her Boss, Not a peer and hooking them up is Wrong for that reason. Writers, how lame and unimaginative can you be with this storyline. Griffin’s the only person you could come up with for Nico’s fertility issues? You haven’t paid attention to the character you created. Nico is dynamic, smart, independent, confident, strong willed and does NOT need anyone to take care of her. I remember Charles was older, do you remember that Kirby worked with Patti Bloom for 2 years before Nico had him fired? You could have developed him into a totally successful photographer that could buy Nico as much sushi as she wanted.

Remember the girls having lunch at Wendy’s apt. shortly after Griffin fired Wendy? Nico made her feelings clear on how she felt women are perceived in the work force. That Nico isn’t stupid enough to get knocked up by her Boss! If anything Nico needs someone to soften her up because she’s not very likeable otherwise.

Hopefully Victory and Joe will out shine Wendy and Shane’s impending suffering and I’m disgusted where Nico’s storyline is headed. Had I known the last few episodes looked like this I would have saved postage and not sent Lipstick to NBC. Everything about this show has been a disaster and now even the writing…..bye bye LJ!

I ABSOLUTELY AGREE!!!!! I like the fact that Nico is questioning what she wants and taking a time apart from Kirby but I don't see her with Griffin AT ALL. I couldn't agree more with "See ya later Lipstick Jungle". The show has become such a disappointment.... It's a shame...

If NBC is so shortsighted and stupid enough to cancel the show, is there any chance that it might be resurrected elsewhere, maybe on cable? After all, many of the best shows these days are on cable anyway. The networks are in a death spiral, and for good reason.

The show hasn't even ended yet but I could hardly stand watching it. Nico weak and vulnerable with Griffin absolutely makes me want to hurl.

I love this show, but I have to agree with some of the criticism concerning this particular story arc. Each of these three women are very similar in that they are all successful, vibrant, and strong. However, Wendy, Victory, and Nico each appeal to a different facet of a female's personality (both collective and individual). Wendy is the maternal one, struggling with family dynamics. Victory is the more naive, single one that has a colorful love life never short of drama. Nico is the strong, independent professional. What I loved particularly about Nico was that I felt she was the persona that diverged most from traditional feminine roles and made no excuses for it. Though she wrestles with the female identity wistfully once in a while, she knows herself well enough that the white-picket-fence sort of lifestyle may be a dream worth indulging in once in a while but that it's not suited to her ambitions and choices. But! She knows the lifestyle she's chosen is just as valid as those her friends (and most other women) pursue. Now, I feel that the show is starting to degenerate into another series about wanting to pursue the perfect, traditional archetype as Victory is distracted and pining for her lost man, Wendy makes necessary compromises for her husband (which is both right and just), and now Nico is striving to be a mom. There is nothing wrong about the choices these characters have made to embrace these feminine roles, but it was exhilirating when the show was about more than making decisions about men.

On a different theme: I know that you guys are the writers and the characters are born from your pages. However, the reflections on Nico's relationships on this blog post diverged remarkably from my perceptions of her as a character. There was a lot of focus contrasting Kirby vs. Griffin's ability to take care of her needs with Griffin as the victor. I think Kirby brought more to the plate than just being fun and young. He was remarkably sensitive and vulnerable in a way that made Nico open up. Nico doesn't need someone to take care of her needs. She needs someone to chisel through the armor. One point I will concede: Griffin may be better suited as her partner, simply due to the fact that Nico so easily has the upper hand in her relationship with Kirby.

I agree- DON'T CANCEL. This show has so much farther to go and I am in love with the characters and the relationships.

Please develop Kirby's character, there is a lot of people that are dying to see him grow. Such a waste...

Why would you end a series like that? Not everybody cares for Kirby and Nico but there is a lot of people that evidently do. So why not give us, Nico and Kirby fans, a happy ending? And if the show gets picked up for another season then you could have develop something different (if you have the urge to break Nico and Kirby up). Everything seems rush and doesn't make any sense. This last few episodes didn't feel organic and coherent. The characters are different and not in a good way. They are acting weird. What happened to the writing? It used to be realistic and fun.
I'll watch but I am sure a lot of people are going to give up on Lipstick Jungle and I don't blame them :(

Even if Nico and Kirby get back together and the next few episode are great, how do you explain Nico's behavior? It's so incoherent with everything we know and like about her. Sorry, but you've ruined that character for me.
I am glad we still have Victory and Joe.

I don't want to be rude to the writers, they are kind enough to write in the blog and I love that about them.
I feel like they try to make a twist in the story and they really screwed up. I am angry. I can't expect the story to develop like I want to but at least I want them to respect the characters. Like many others, I feel they've lost Nico, they wanted to tell this story so badly that they didn't care if the character would behave like that and that makes me mad. You had such an AMAZING character. I hope she becomes herself again in the next episode.

I can't believe what I'm reading. Just because a storyline isn't going the way you want it to go, you want to bail and give up on a great show. I can't help but laugh! Life NEVER goes the way we want it to go. People change...people cheat...people make bad decisions then live with the consequences. Isn't that what we love about the show...it's not over the top? The Jungle is a show we all can relate to. I'm not saying we all cheat or lie, but we all know someone who has or does. Thousands of us have moved heaven and earth to try and save this show. Now to have some of those so-called fans revolt just because the writers were trying to keep it interesting, that is a kick in the groan to all of us who are trying to save it. Remember, the scripts were written and the episodes were shot before NBC made its decision to cancel LJ. Everything we are seeing now is just the lead-up to the season finale which was to provide suspense for a season 3. Unfortunately, that season 3 may never happen and these last episodes with Nico & Kirby apart may just end that way. If you want to see Nico & Kirby back together in a season 3, we must support the show and not be fair weather fans. Watch it when you agree with the storyline & watch it when you don't. The writers can't please everyone. In my opinion, they've done an excellent job so far keeping us guessing and wanting more. So to the writers, KUDOS! I know myself, I don't like Kirby working for Victory taking nude pictures of her. But I feel if the series continues, Nico and Kirby will be back together when the natural progression of their relationship unfolds. Eventhough I don't like Griffin,I can wait if it means the series continues. Don't GIVE UP!!

I am glad that Kirby knew well enough to be honest about his lack of desire for children. He would be unfair to Nico and himself if he suddenly changes his mind, and he would end up resenting in his wake. Nico is growing in a different way and I like the direction in which she's going. Griffin is hot. On the Wendy and Shane front... Wendy needs to stop being such a control freak and Shane needs to stop being so insecure. And, if Shane is going to cheat with Josie, just get it over with. Dragging out what is appearing to be an inevitability is boring. Victory has finally said what she needed to say but how will Joe react. I hope that storyline does not get painfully boring.

You can laugh out loud but I really think there was something wrong in this episode and that's why so many people are angry.
When Nico and Kirby broke up the first time nobody was complaining or saying Nico was acting strange. Even if you didn't like what was going on you could understand her. But when so many people can't empathize with her or even understand her anymore... I am sorry but there is something that's not working.

GEt a grip, they can't have everyone life happily every after all the time, or there would be no show! Keep it coming and keep changing it up.

I agree with "Laughing Out Loud". I don't necessarily like the story direction, but I support the writers keeping it interesting. I love this show and really want to see another season. I am a realist though, and know it won't be on NBC. I can only hope that it is possible for another network to pick it up. The show could be so amazing on HBO with all the extra writing flexibility that occurs outside of the major networks. I do not think Nico's character would ever fall for her boss...there are way too many men out there for someone like to her to give up all that power. It is out of character for her. I appreciate her mid life crisis, but I still can't imagine trading someone you truly love and are so attracted to for the possibility of sometime having a baby by yourself (not to mention, no one would decide to have a baby with their boss) Having and raising a child by yourself is very challenging and I would think Nico would instead try and get the person that adores her (Kirby) to the point in his life where he is comfortable having a baby with her. I agree that they need a break to sort things out, but see them back together trying to satify each other's needs. Successful career for Kirby (Nico could have done so much more to help him) and a child for them together (If Kirby really loves her, he would not want her to miss out on that possibility). I think this show could be amazing in a third season, but know that NBC could never handle it. They just don't have the viewers or know how to attract them to their network. I just hope someone out there sees the potential of this show and finds a place for it. It is so refreshing to have a show about strong women with amazing friendships. All the issues they discuss are so top of mind and it is so much fun to see others dealing with the same topics. Someone please save Lipstick Jungle!

I don't think Griffin is the problem (Personally, I don't like him... but that is just me), it's the timing. (I would love Nico and Kirby to be together, but that's me too) Everything happened too fast. I understood that Nico and Kirby needed some time apart to figure things out. It was painful and I didn't like it but they were in different stages in their lives.
But why is Nico getting involve with someone else. She didn't have time to figure anything out, I don't think she knows what she wants yet. She is suppose to be smart.

Where's the LJ with all the "happily ever after"? What time is that on b/c I'd prefer to watch it vs. all the confusion the last few episodes have drummed up. I like guessing and for the writers to keep it interesting but I think they pulled a "Thelma and Louise" ending.

Since LJ fans are mostly women, I hope your Boss doesn’t grab you and mug down with you in the elevator like Griffin did with Nico. How inappropriate can you be? Not to mention, illegal. I LOVE the show. I've fallen in love with the characters. So some shows take time to get their legs. This is worth seeing through at least a few more seasons. NBC, DON'T cancel it damn it. The only other NBC show I watch is the news on MSNBC!

While I am sure Robert Buckley will have many projects in his future, try to keep him apart of this one for as long as possible. Somehow... He alone will maintain part of the viewing audience. Aside from all that... I am going to be sure every single friend I have watches the next episode. I think the timeslot for the show has been difficult, but the content is phenominal. We all finally get a good show to watch - and all you all do is take it away from us. Can't we all get a break for once?

This is my favorite show - but you can't help but feel it was destined to fail. Placing the show at 10pm at night is late, and then placing it on Fridays is even worse. Let's think about who the target market is for this show - women who are career oriented. Are career oriented women the type of people to stay up late to watch their favorite show so that they are exausted the next morning - no. Do career oriented women stay at home on a Friday night? - no. So how was this story supposed to survive? Think of it this was - would Nico or Victory stay at home on a Friday night? Then why would you think that we would?

Let's make a comparison. Grey's Anatomy's story line this season has been awful. But, it is on a Thursday night at 9pm. People are going to watch it. I don't think LJ ever got the chance.

I enjoy watching Lipstick Jungle. I love Nico's new challenge of Griffin because it rocks who she is at the core. Viewers need to remember that if everything were "happily ever after" in story line, there would be no story to tell. Maybe Nico needs to explore Griffin to realize what she loved and admired in Kirby - and vice versa. Life isn't always packaged neatly; some of us go through several relationships before we discover "who" we truly are. And how many of you are 40 and child-less? The maternal clock is powerful. If you don't believe it, ask someone who is or has faced it. To me, Nico's feelings are strong and very believable.

I remember weeks ago when fans went nuts over Joe's "departure" but he returned. How fair-weathered to only offer support when things are going "your way." If you love the show so much, hang in there and trust the writers. Remember, the "in-between" is what makes the end(ing) so great. Please, keep an open mind and don't be so quick to jump ship.

I loved loved loved last nights episode. The cast is just amazing and everything about the show just fits. I hope NBC can just work out the financial situation for the show to keep it going. I know the ratings are low but a strong DVR fanbase follows-numbers prove that. If NBC could work out a deal with a network like maybe DIRECTV 101-same thing they did for Friday Night Lights to save it. FNL's ratings were low also but Ben Silverman felt there was a need to save the show so NBC worked out a deal with DIRECTV 101 to keep it going. The episodes of FNL's aired on 101 and then NBC will rerun them starting in January 2009. So to sum it up if NBC can work out a deal to save one show hopefully they can do it for another. Fans keep commenting here and on the message board and praise LJ so NBC can see there is people supporting this show.

I am sure you are desperate to get more viewers and trying to keep things interesting but the last couple of episodes where ridiculous. Since "Let the game begin" the show has been down hill...

Nico and Grffin in her kitchen was disturbing.

I have yet to see “happily ever after” play out in any LJ episodes. With the state of the world today I think we are hoping for the best for all the relationships. I’m 40 and childless so yes, I do understand. Nico’s gone through enough and it hasn’t looked neatly packaged to me. I don’t know many who’ve had their husband of 17 years knock up one of their 22 year old students and then die on them. Do you really think it’s realistic to have a child with your new Boss? Much less the one that fired your best friend and screwed her world?

Do you really think the problem with Griffin is "all he brought her was a box of raisins"... I couldn't care less... Even if he bought every Godiva Chocolate they would make an awful couple.

I miss Hector and Mike Harness. Hopefully, they will come back and Nico can have flings with them too! I’d prefer she have issues with the magazine and challenging employees to deal with or carpal tunnel or some young smart sassy new employee that’s giving her a run for her money or no budget to work with because we are in a recession rather than more men problems. She’s more human when Kirby’s around though.

Emma- I agree. Since the end of the Thanksgiving episode the “organic” LJ has been missing. The LJ majority clearly sees the differences and is on the same page.

Oh, calm down people. The strong independent characters that we love aren't changing. Everyone has ups and downs and weak points in their life. It wouldn't be natural if someone of Nico's age didn't reconsider her choices on not having children. She is just exploring, it doesn't mean she is going to quit her job and become a housewife. And she is just dabbling with Griffen, no signs of them getting married!!! To keep stories interesting the writer will lead in you in different directions and stories can quickly take a turn to build a foundation for the characters. This show needs another season to hash all this out. And Kirby isn't gone, in the preview he asks Nico to go with him to Aspen. Please NBC give this show another shot and put in in a good time slot where people have the chance to watch it live! And if you are going to change the time and day make sure you advertise it so people can find it. Love, love, love the Jungle!!

candace, i like ur books. but i think u r a bit of and old regime of american cliché (like those in 1980-early 2000) who always disgrace the french and russian women (in your books is described as models). the regime sho always think that americans r the best and german is brain, and french women are dull and russian women r stupid and russian men are rough. that u put heidi klum in sex n the city and mock the russian name "natascha" (in sex n the city) and again, another russian bimbo in lipstick jungle, and a rough russian guy in sex n the city. those images were fertilized during the Ragan until Bush for economic and political purpose. not things change and those cheap chiché get more and more anoying than funny in this liberal world. even for the americans.

OK, Im actually happy that Kirby is gone for now. Anyone watching Nico's character would see that she and Kirby were growing apart and at different stages in their lives. And if they keep the show around, they'll need new developments and new plots to work with, it can't just be Nico and Kirby together, or Shane and Wendy, or Victory and Joe. These characters are going to grow together or pull apart, or have new and interesting things happening to them to keep us watching! So get over the Kirby mess and enjoy the show! wow I am so shocked at the responses! It is amazing how small minded people still are. It is only season two. The characters are still developing. Everyone has struggles it is not a perfect life all the time. I can't wait to see how the women pull their lives together in the midst of heartache, career troubles, and their relationships with all around them. Keep up the great work! Please keep continuing!! Who cares if Nico and Kirby broke up and Griffin is making his move, things happen. It doesnt mean that Nico and Kirby cant get back together. He's getting work and maybe as he becomes secure in himself being able to provide, he will be a better partner for Nico. I don't like the couple Nico and Griffin, I don't want to see her in that challenge because I don't believe she would ever fall for him in the first place. I think is was a mistake.

For me Lipstick Jungle has been down-hill since Kirby's mother episode. Maybe it was the ratings pressure, I don't know but since then the show hasn't been the same.

I wouldn't mind that much if LJ was having tons of viewers. Every show has its bad episodes and bad seasons. (Grays Anatomy is not having the best season but I know it's has time to get back in track.)

If Lipstick Jungle was a successful show with many seasons to come, (I doubt there's going to be a season 3) then the story would be different, and I would be able to forget this last few episodes, but to end the series like this is unforgivable.,

I noticed on Wikipedia that the statement "3 additional scripts had been ordered for Lipstick Jungle on 12/7/08" has been removed from the site. I guess that is't true after all. Only 2 more episodes for January-2 and 9th and then pray for season 3.

I think from the beginning there has been chemistry between Nico and Griffin. Yes, she wants Kirby, she is in lust with him. He represents all the wild oats she never got to sow while in college. Kirby was good for her for a brief period of time but he is too young for her. Griffin appreciates what she is in a way her husband never did and Kirby cannot because of his youth and inexperience. In time, he could, but unfortunately time is not always on the side of love. Nico loves Kirby, but her needs are greater than Kirby is equipped to deal with at this time. Griffin, on the other hand, is in a position to understand Nico's needs, besides being a charasimatic person himself. She is attracted to him. It has been apparent from his introduction at the beginning. Now she is in a position to let things follow the course of nature or business if u will. It is inevitable something will happen between Nico and Griffin, how much remains to be seen.

I love the show and plan to keep on watching as long as NBC continues to air it. I love Nico and Kirby and can't imagine Nico ever dating her boss, but I am willing to follow along with your storyline. I know you need to keep things interesting. Nico and Kirby need time apart to realize that they are perfect for each other in the end...I just hope the show gets enough more episodes to bring them back together! Please save this amazing show. You can do it NBC...get creative!

Did anyone notice the Maybelline products displayed on the table in the scene with Nico and Griffin in her office? Maybe NBC is trying to be creative with advertising to keep this show afloat. If thats the case NBC please continue to search the options out there and provide a way for Lipstick Jungle to stay on the air. Out of ALL the shows on the networks I think this one deserves to hang around for a long time. Also other products like Apple and I-Phones appear often be creative with those too.

I just want to say that this is the first show that has really empowered women. Most shows depict women as sex craved, boy hungry cougers that dont want to grow old. But, this show has really changed that view, it has enspired me to be a stronger woman. The writing is excellent and the story line is actually relatable. If I miss an episode I always make sure to catch it online, but I will be sad the day that there are no more new episodes. Keep up the good work and stay strong! Keep writing I LOVE IT!

The average age for men to marry is 27. Why does everyone think Kirby is so young b/c he's not. Isn't he supposed to be 26 in the show?

Griffin and Nico are not a match whatsoever! You'll see! So disappointed that this is the only place the writers could go with this storyline. Have them have major chemistry because they clash over work issues because they are both smart business people. Leave the freakin sex out of it! He's her boss! I am very disappointed with the way the show is turning out to be; however, I still love it! It has become so unrealistic. Nico definitely need some alone time to figure things out and she does not need to jump into another relationship...especially with her boss! Nico and Griffin have no on-air chemistry. Frankly, it is very uncomfortable to watch them together. I am still faithful that Nico and Kirby will come to their senses and realize they are meant for each other. I admit he does have some maturity issues...20 something with no steady job or a real passionate drive for his work. I think the writers can work on that though! I'm from Portugal, and I started watching the show with my sister, who was already a fan. Now I've become completely addicted...and I do want a third season. However, I don't like what is going on with Nico...I work in a company where the top of the hierarchy is mostly composed by men, and watching an independent and strong woman succeed was somehow reassuring. But now Nico is just weak and needs her boss to protect her...she cannot be the queen of the jungle as she once was and that's just disappointing. And Kirby...he was one of the main reasons why people watched the show...such a great guy. Please don't cancel the show, and please bring Kirby and Nico back!

Whoa! What a lot to take in?!!? I agree with those that are discusted that people would turn on the show so quickly. Did you ever see a series that you were so discusted with how the episode ended that you couldn't wait for them to fix it next week. For heaven sake, they are just trying to keep it interesting. If they were to just put Nico and Kirby together to ride into the sunset, along with fixing Wendy and Shane and getting Victory and Joe married then we just wouldn't need a season 3 now would we. BIG fan of LJ, I agree with you completely. Everyone should take a deep breath and relax. I'm sure Nico & Kirby will reunite, if not at the end of this season, then hopefully in the 3rd season. I know things don't look good right now, but as long as NBC doesn't say LJ is cancelled, there is still hope for a season 3. If NBC doesn't want to continue with series, I hope another major network picks it up. I just don't want to see LJ sent to the minor leagues like Friday Night Lights was. It's too good of a show to be downgraded like that. I hope NBC can work something out to keep Lipstick in the major leagues.
Just an Observation:
I went to 30 Rockerfeller Center in NYC Saturday to see the Christmas Tree and do some shopping. I went into the NBC Store, and as I walked around, I noticed that I couldn't find anything for Lipstick Jungle for sale. They had merchandise for almost every show NBC has been associated with except Lipstick. Besides the obvious shows, they had; Wings, Will & Grace, Battlestar Galactica, Ghost Hunters, Friends, Mad Money, Psych, L&O Conviction, Crossing Jordan...so on and so on. Maybe I missed something somewhere, but the sales person couldn't find anything for Lipstick Jungle either. I don't know what that means, if it means anything, but it just seems like NBC has washed its hands of the whole series. Not only don't they promote it on their network, they don't even acknowledge it in their own store.

It took forever to get Nico and Kirby together and zoom a new guy? Whatever!? I'm a few episodes behind but I thought they just told each other "I love you". Wow, I must of missed something.

The summaries on Wikipedia do not sound correct. That would be way too cheesy of a direction to take/end the show! I can't believe those are the twists the writers would have come up with. I love the show and wish I could hold out hope for a third season, but I am certain NBC has written it off. I hope the last two episodes are good and at least leave some hope for Nico and Kirby to get back together at some point! No one who is in their early 40s would be so desperate as to have a baby with someone after being with them for three weeks. She was not trying to get pregnant, she was supposedly freezing eggs for the future. I hope the information is a joke and that some other network picks up this amazing show!

I happen to like the Nico/Griffin twist. It wouldn't be a series worth watching if it was completely predictable. And I think the hookup makes sense because people who have similar aspirations in life usually understand each other better. I think that Nico and Griffin might work out well. I love Kirby also, but think his character could be better utilized. More importantly, where can we write about keeping the show on. Believe me I am a working mother and an executive (although not quite as glamorous) and there aren't many shows that show the struggle to walk the line between both lives!

Can someone explain to me what is this: "Nico is very happy because she is pregnant after only three weeks with Griffin" and "Griffin wants to get married to with Nico, but it's too soon for her" and the season ends like this. I don't understand how in just four episodes you manage to ruin a perfectly good story. I'm going to watch the next two episodes, but if what Wikipedia says is wright, I don't see LJ having a third season simply because there will be nothing interesting to watch.

I guess there is not a logical explanation for that... either it's a lie or the writers have lost their mind.

I happen to like the fact that Nico and Kirby broke up. If a couple wants their relationship to last, it can not ONLY be about the sex and imho, Nico/Kirby was all about the sex. I love the show and support whatever direction the writers take it. I know you need to keep things interesting. That being said, Nico never gave Kirby a chance to decide whether he would be interested in having a baby with her. If she really loved him, she would of at least asked him what he thought. Not wanting to raise her cheating, dead husband's baby is a much different scenario than the two of them having a baby sometime in the near future together. She should have at least discussed the possibility with him. He seemed genuinely surprised that she was thinking of having a baby. I hope the hook-up with Griffin is a fleeting fling and that she comes to her senses once all the hormones are out of her system. There is no way that someone in a relationship with a guy that she loves can't find a way to ask him to have a child with her before it is too late, but she can decide to have a baby with her boss after just a brief fling. That is way too unbelieveable even for TV!

NBC you are pathetic! I cannot believe you could not find a way to make this show work. You have an amazing concept to work with, a great cast with amazing chemistry, loyal/enthusiastic fans, and finally a great team working on the show. I am sure no one of importance reads these, but just in case...here are some thoughts. How can you expect a series to get good ratings when you do no marketing and no promoting of the show. Then you move the day and time every chance you get. Oh did I mention that you send it to the Siberia better known as Friday night with no promos on your network? Then you tell everyone that is is cancelled...way to kill any momentum the show is creating! Next, you limit the writers by shortening each episode (has anyone noticed that there seem to be way more commercials in a Lipstick Jungle episode than in other one hour drama?). I have not checked to see if this is true, but it seems that way when I am watching the episodes live. If you can't make this show work, you should give up on being a major network...oh wait, you already did...I forgot about Jay Leno every night at 10:00. Your network is a disgrace!

I just read every single comment… and I have one thing to say to NBC...

This is a loyal fan base... the people that have left… are because of misjudgment in the script.
I understand that these times are rough. That writing the scripts out in the midst of pressure from the network to turn profit… is EXTREMELY hard.
Now I ask you... what happened to this promo about us FANS being included in the commercials? It was shown on the website for about 5 months then was taken down to put in ad space... what if you do something like that again? What if you made a commercial of people asking people to "Live, Laugh, Love, and Watch Lipstick Jungle On Friday's at 9pm." It's easy. Put out a commercial that has people record their own videos saying it... then splice them together and use that as your commercials.
With that you have just saved the cost of buying a lighting crew, technical director, actors, and the cost to have the lights on in the meantime.
It's a risk, I know, but you are risking OUR show now.
Also to the people who are bad mouthing Nico/ Griffin relationship... be kind. Nico is VULNARABLE. If it does happen, if she stays with him, then it is so...and I am sorry to hear it. I love Kirby to pieces... but I love Nico, as a character, even more. Nico’s character is so real. I also love Victory’s character… because she is real, and Wendy... for the same reason. Till this point Nico has been rigid... and understandably so... but this is her breakdown moment... that moment that turns her life around. Let her character figure it out. All the other characters (EVEN JOE!) have had their breakdown moments on deciding whether they should change who they are or not.
Speaking of change… let the writers write... we should be happy to have them back this season (oh, and to the writers: We are happy to have you back, but don't let it go to your head, we love having you back as long as you do quality work. develop your characters, chart the way a character would react to a situation based on previous situations, and make sure to have that characters role portrayed correctly... if you plan on changing it, make sure there is a reason not just based upon your own thoughts on where they should go, but based upon the book, and please make sure to have enough ON AIR explanation and video to support why you are changing the character.)
I am sad that this show is looking at the cancelation bin so early in its career... but I am even more disappointed in the fact that the fans are dropping off and losing hope in NBC because of the way you are treating this series. Lipstick Jungle does not equal Leprosy. It equals real woman in real situations, dealing with real emotions; in the world that woman have to live in today.

I love the show and feel as if there is nothing like it on TV. I can't believe NBC could not find a way to make this show a success. Everyone I know loves this show and is excited about each new episode. These same friends also like Grey's and Brothers and Sisters, but like Lipstick Jungle even more. Why not make Nico and Kirby a “power couple”? If Kirby played the hot, young, successful photographer that everyone in town was hot for that would have been realistic and added a different twist. Everything is possible in NYC! Kinda like Ashton and Demi and Halle and her dude. I know you started with the book version of Kirby and he was pretty clueless. Too bad you couldn’t figure out that Kirby was a big hit sooner.

It makes me sad that you could not end the show on a happy note given that NBC has completely given up on it. NBC has not promoted it in months. If they were really "passionate" about the show as they said, they would have at least tried to increase the ratings with promotions. It makes no sense to me. Keeping it real- Just a suggestion, why can’t Wendy get FAT? That would be keeping things real right? She’s starting over after losing the job she loved for 12 years. That would make anyone eat a pint or two of ice cream everyday wouldn’t it? Why she’s trying to reinvent herself she slowly packs on a few extra lbs. and when she tries getting dressed for a big meeting she can’t fit into her power suits. And then she’s really late to the meeting because she has nothing to wear! How real is that ladies?

I don't agree with all the criticism toward Nico. She is a woman and she has a desire to be a mother isn't that completely normal?? I agree that she is a strong and ambitious woman and she has persued a path that has made her more of a powerhouse and not a "motherly" type but doesnt she have the right to change her mind now? I completely agree with the direction the show is taking and I applaud the writers they are doing a great job!
As for Kirby, i will miss him truly. He did bring a lot more to the show than just eye candy (although that didn't hurt either) but I think the writers will find a way to keep him in somehow.

Are you kidding me?? Just because Niko smiled when Griffen left doesn't mean they are walking down the aisle! There is just a seed being planted. I am sure the writers are reading the blogs to see what the audience thinks but some of these comments are just crazy. If we are lucky enough to watch another season (please NBC read the blogs!!) I am sure they have lots of possibilities for all the characters. We haven't seen the whole picture yet and the characters are still evolving. Regarding the comments about Brooke, back off because she looks amazing & is still having an exceptional career. This is the first show that I feel we are seeing her best acting. I know many people are upset about the impending cancellation of LJ, but I don't see how we the public can win, since NBC is conducting an unfair fight. They tell us the last 3 episodes will seal the fate of the show and it needs a bump of at least 1 million viewers, yet they refuse to promote it. That's going to be difficult to do. We can tell our friends to watch and tell them to tell their friends to watch. But if we are not part of the Nielsen family, are we counted? And even if we are, it is the JOB...DUTY of the network to promote its material! I believe in Lipstick Jungle, but I fell like i'm being blackmailed and bullied into doing something without an actual guarantee. How can we be sure they will keep the show around? Five shows will need to be cut to allow the new Leno timeslot.
Despite the way I feel I will continue to fight, but I can't help but sense this fight is fixed and Lipstick is going down without a count.

I agree with Unfair Fight. NBC has not even tried to make this show a success. Why are they so against it? They have really never promoted it or given it the attention it deserves. I guess that is why NBC is the worst performing major network. They do not know a good show when they see one! Lipstick Jungle could have been HUGE for you NBC!

I love this show. It is getting soooooo good. A real show about real people with real struggles. I really feel like I can identify with the characters in this show and the day-to-day struggles that they face. I'm frankly surprised at the outcry of the Nico and Kirby break-up. I never thought they belonged together and am actually relieved that they are over and would be pleased to never see Kirby again. Griffin is interesting and complicated and mature and hot. What is wrong with Griffin? Ah well. I'm hooked. I'd like to see how all the characters turn out and I am really praying that NBC gives us fans another chance. Love love love everything you're writing. Much better than the drivel that we call Heroes.

After watching The show from Day One, I was very dissapointed On the show On the 5th of Dec. While I Know that drugs are real and Out There do you think Its Roght To show a Joint Being Found and so easily Tossed of like It was Nothing. remember This Friday Night , some Kids are up Late and i Just didnt think it was In Good Taste! Don't you think since these people (the writers) who are innately involved in the business, possibily know better than we as to what really goes on. Lipstick Jungle should not be cancelled. I don't see much advertisement for it though. A lot of shows advertise on other networks and I think the same should be done for this show. I would be so very disappointed if this show is taken off the air. This show is the only show that I truly look forward to. Us women love to have a show we can get lost in and this is truly the show. True, Kirby is a hottie and fun, but with who Nico really is and who she's trying to become, Griffin is a much better choice for her. The clothes, hair, makeup and necklaces are spectacular. These ladies look better than the stars at the globes, oscars, etc.... As a working, married mother of 3 - under the age of 4 - I enjoy watching these glamorous women bust their butts to better society, their careers, their families, etc. I wish this show received the advertising & promos that the stupid Sex/City received - perhaps the ratings would be better. When a show tears at your heart like this one has in more than one episode. This is one I love watching. It has it all. You have covered love, money, children, in all different perspects of life. I cannot wait till another show. And to say this with enthusiasm, I havent been hooked since Melrose Place. I'm 41 and these characters are all great. In some points they remind me of myself. Please keep the show going, its absolutely addicting. And the truth being, its the only show I watch weekly. No time, but I've definately made time for this one. Keep up the great work !! Andrew McCarthy your still as goodlooking as you were since "Pretty in Pink!" I used to have a huge crush on him, now I see why.

I LOVE the show and ALSO support whatever direction the writers take it. I do love Nico and Kirby thought. I like Griffin and the fact he was a love triangle for the two. It spiced things up and he does make things seem more stable for Nico, but Kirby is MUCH sexier. He needs to grow up and get a real job and if he wants kids he has to be ready. I love Brooke Shields, Andrew McCarthy, Lindsay Price, also. They are ALL WONDERFUL!!! I will do whatever it takers to save the show. I HOPE YOU WILL TOO!

I love lipstick jungle. Personally, I think it is one of the best shows on the air. I agree with what most of the above people said. I think that it should be continued. This show has barely gotten any publicity. I have not seen commercials for it, nor have i seen ads for it anywhere. So, if NBC promotes the show more than they will definitely have more viewers. This show is amazing, so, please don't cancel it, give it a chance.
