Here’s what you don’t know about the Honey Bees…
Just like the contestants, We don’t know the song that’s going to be played. So, after hours of rehearsals and learning 30+ dances. We have to fit one of the 30 dance routines to the chosen song. Here’s the twist…We may have to do an up-beat dance to a ballad, or a lyrical jazz dance to a hip-hop song. We huddle in our hive and call a play just like athletes.
One of my favorite episodes to shoot was “Girl Power”. As a little girl, I dreamed of being a super hero. When we were told that there was an episode called “Girl Power” I got so excited, thinking that my childhood dream would become some what real for a night. I thought I would look like a rock n’ roll Wonder Woman. That didn’t happen, because they stuck me in a red wig which made me look like Ariel from the Little Mermaid. "Hmmmm," I thought. "Well, she wasn’t really a super hero, but she was a powerful girl-maid!" so I committed and went with it. Along with my mermaid wig, I was so super lucky to be wearing silver stilts on my feet, which did not give me any power over the fear I had of being 4” taller then my normal height which is 5’10” making me the “Leaning Tower of Pisa”.
In case you didn’t know, we dance right above the band. I only hoped that this tower wasn’t going to tip over and land right in the drummer's seat. To top it off, the crown wasn’t plastic…so top heavy! I was on unstable but fabulous silver platforms and holding on to my bling-bling Honey Bee belt…living on a prayer through out every step for the entire episode.
Never underestimate the girls with the short sexy hair cuts!!!!
What a hell of a personality Lisa has.
Although we see her in different wigs throughout the season,

If i was the drummer, i would only hope for an earthquake at that very moment you were behind me on your stilts. My Girl always tells me how hard it is to dance in those shoes, as she is a dancer too. We both got a kick out of your Blog. Gives us a whole different perspective of you and your work. Btw: My Girl loves your short hair too. I like your wig, but then again, I loved Ariel, ok that was too much info. We are huge fans. Keep up the good work.

As entertaining the show is, it sure would help to have better singers! It isn't always fair for the contestants when you can't even understand some of them. Tell you one thing, there isn't one singer there that would ever make it on American Idol.

I love this show, and i love that Joey Fatone is the host. I loved how you did the girl power episode so it kinda switched it up a little. I think you should do a *NSYNC show with all *NSYNC songs that would be a big hit and it would be hilarious. Just a thought!!

What was the song from 2003 that was in the middle of the show? It was a rock song and they played the black crows after it I believe it is driving me crazy!! Help me remember please I think they said it was by Rat, but I can't be sure

I'm just going to say that with 19 years of dance experience and now being a professional dancer, I have no idea how any of you girls got this job. I watch this show only to see you all screw up. Your timing is absolutely non existent with the music or with each other. I understand you have 30+ dances but COME ON! Thats called being a professional dancer. PLUS - your dances are all of what 20 seconds? Which could be AT THE MOST 3-8 counts? I dont want to hear your sob stories. You need to step it up. I dance in front of live crowds of over 70,000 people plus millions on tv every week. And let me tell you, if I danced or had timing like the 4 of you, I wouldnt have a job. Go take lessons!!!
obviously your 19 years of dance didnt get you a call to the audition. you better hope you're from NYC, where there wasn't an audition. i have no clue what your resume is, nor do i care, because you dared to bash these dancers not knowing there other accomplishments.... which were surrounded by incredible choreography..... did you comprehend that... 5.6.7.8. Bad choreography shows up on camera. There are no sob stories here. The honey bee's were stating there adventure through rehearsals and shoots, for America. not for you to critque and bash. If you're going to take the time to do that, go to the source. So... are you a cheerleader? "so you think you can dance" try doing it to bad choreograhy..... and not knowing the counts ahead of time...full or half time. The costumes are great. But solid black with flapping hands just won't rate with me even though the dancers looked great. The dancers and their costumes (and Joey) make the show. Maybe Joey will dance and wear bee attire for the finale.
