From one NW Native to another, the BEST thing for ANY kind of congestion is MUCINEX MUCINEX MUCINEX.
But, I will tell you, get the drugstore brand generic to save a little money. Look for guaifenesin. My husband is a Physician Assistant and it has become a staple in our medicine cabinet. I have to tell you, ever since we started using it, I have not had a single sinus infection.

words of Martin Luther King, you are very welcome.
I keep these words of his on my kitchen cupboard door:

"Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere."

It is quite easy to come up with any number of examples
that prove the truth of those words. Am I saying that
right?

Actually, though, dear Whabby, I have to tell you that
those particular words of MLK were the only words of
his that I included in my post. I happened to hear them,
or read them, a long time ago, and they just struck a
chord. So, I jotted them down, to refer to, whenever.
All the rest of the post was absolutely of my own thought
and creation. That is just how I think and consider and
write, Whab. Gosh, I am so glad you liked it. :)

I truly hope that that post will be read by many, so that,
perhaps, some unaware individuals may be inspired to
begin to become thinking individuals. What a gift to the
Universe that would be. When one learns something of
value, one can pass it along, positively affecting the lives
of others, and, therefore, the Universe, as well as
themselves. We can can certainly use more thinkers, in
this world. Do you know the book, THE THINKER'S WAY,
by John Chaffee, Ph. D.,Whabbear? An excellent book,
and one which is the basis for a college course. It is one
of those books that I think should be required reading.
Both of my copies are all marked up and highlighted. :)

in your Talky Blog, today. But, I was sorry you were
doing that, instead of sleeping. We worry about you,
you know. We who love you. And, I know that all of
us were so glad to see your dear Wee Wee, too. We/I

I hope you get better soon! I'm actually just back from the hospital as my son was diagnosed with RSV and he has asthma so he had a bad asthma attack and they kept him overnight. There is alot of nasty stuff out there right now.

Ross I know exactly what you mean when you say that it's the worst possible time to be sick!

I don't know if it compares, but last year I went to India for 3 weeks, and I was perfectly healthy the whole time, until the day to go to the Taj Mahal came(which was the main reason why I went there), and I woke up to the worst food poisoning ever!
I also took one for the team and went (of course I look like crapola in all the pics though!)

There are some things that you just can't miss, no matter what!

I went to the doctor with my last cold. Geez, I had Afrin nasal spray on my night stand, Vicks under my nose and on my feet, plus Mucinex and Zicam and I used the Nettie pot until my nose was stinging severely . I am not Goth and I do not enjoy pain! The Doc said he could give me pills and I'd be better in a few days or he could give me a steroid injection to break it up and an antibiotic shot to kill off the kooties. I went for the needles! I hate needles but I hate being sick even more! What kept my spirit going was the puppy dog kisses that my 7 year old Pekingese lavished me with.

Well, my driveway surface is FINALLY revealed.
I can finally get down it, to go out and replenish
my supply of Dog Food, et al. Very little brown
rice remains, and zero chicken and fish, etc. I
am glad, though, that I had on hand what I had.
I think I heard the mention of more snow, after
a few warmer days. Extra provisions...So glad I
bucked up and charged my car battery with the
little Schumacher charger I finally bought. That
was the day before the FIRST layer of snow hit.
Yesterday, the car started right up, for me. Ah,
so comforting. To have the driveway usable, now,
AND the car starting, both at the same time. Wow.

Off, now, to find SOMETHING to wear, and to get
out there, in this wee bit of sunshine, and pick up
enough of what we will be needing, until the next
time. Between HAVING provisions, and NOT having
them, I must say, I prefer HAVING them. :)

Moving this weekend, first night back at my own home. It was wonderful. Even though we went from a queen size bed back to a double it was just what the doctor ordered. We both slept like babies.

amazing, amazing, romantic, beautiful moment,
EVER, on TV. Looking into each other's eyes,

so wonderfully-well. Every little nuance. There will
likely never be another moment quite like it. Thank

Oh Ross, I hope you feel better soon! Goodness me - you poor thing - I've had over 20 surgeries - mostly due to endometriosis and had to have a total hysterectomy in 2003 - and then I just had emergency surgery for appendicitis 2 weeks ago - it was scary and I'm glad they caught it in time - but all I can tell you from all of my experiences is what helps me - isn't just medication but love and hugs - lots of love & hugs - from my puppy, "Prescott" - from my hubby, Dave, from my family & friends.

Oh Ross my dog (Brewskee) does that same thing sometimes. When we are in bed and I ask him to come and snuggle, HE WON'T. Why do they do that. He acts like he's in trouble or something. Eventually he'll come and snuggle but sometimes it takes him awhile. TOO CUTE!! Hope you feel better soon Ross. I like the hot Therma Flu type medication at first. Then Vicks cough medicine (expectrant) for later!! MUAH!

I just read the whole story on google home page. They have the police report. Seems they had a fight and got out of the car at a nearby park after a party. When police arrived Chris had left and Rihanna had bruises on her face. He turned himself in 3 hours before the grammy's, but was released after he paid 50 thousand dollar bail.
Al Green, Keith Urban and Justin Timberlake jumped in a did an awesome job performing in the spot where Chris was suppose to perform at grammy's. Rihanna didn't show up either.
NO women should ever take being hit, hope she leaves this jerk! Just my 2 cents!!

There is a bad chest cold going around...I had sore throat, Mucus in my syneses, and mucus in my chest and cough.
This illness lasts 4 weeks if left untreated. I ended up
seeing my Doctor who percribed me: Aziththromycin 250mg, and ProAir HFA (albuterol sulfate) Inhalation Aerosol.. after six days of treatment I finally fell better.
You should see your Doctor...I tried ZICAM with this and it did not work at all.
I wish you the best at being well.
