ROSSY! That's so great. I'm not a fan of the soaps anymore...but Ooooohhh did I used to be. I was OBSESSED with Luke & Laura back in the day. And I met Susan Lucci once at an airport! Too fun. Anyway, I'm so excited for you. I can totally see you making the most out of that soap star status. Run with it, mister! Proud of ya! :-)

Oh, and the Olympics? CRAZY! I'm like always watching them, I love it! I'm a gymnast so I really love watching the women's gymnastics. But last night in the qualifications? They weren't doing so well!! I was actually really surprised. They're all a lot better than what they were showing last night; I just hope that they'll do better in the next competition! I think that they could get gold if they really worked for it. I certainy hope so!

I suppose that's all for now.. can't wait for the next Dr. Neighbor talky!

Hi Ross! Hi Crack Crew and the rest of you great Blog Buddies!!

I'm a day late and a dollar short, as the saying goes. I just got home from a long weekend of camping and going to the NASCAR race in Watkins Glen, NY. What a great time and a good race! (Except for the accident. I hate racing accidents!) It rained a good part of the weekend so we got home a little soggy, but I still loved it.

Cathy in PA, you would have loved it! The weather during the day Sat. and Sun. was splendid and the race was exciting. Go Smoke!!

The day late thing is because I just now got to read about Ross trying to help Jelly Bean find a new forever home. I think that's truly wonderful! We have 5 rescued cats and each one is adorable and interesting and terrific! I'd tell you all the stories about how we ended up with them but this would be the longest post in Ross history! LOL They *are* interesting stories, though!

Jojobits, cats are lactose intolerant. You might want to switch your new baby cat to Lactaid Fat Free milk. Cats like milk, but for most cats it upsets their stomach and causes diarrhea.

FBLM, one of our cats (Mulligan, SSL) was a rescue we had to pay a little to get. His vet bills are in the thousands, now, too. Like you though, we don't have kids so we don't mind TOO much. Plus we believe when you take in an animal you have made a deal to take care of it for the rest of its life so if it gets sick, you have to do whatever it takes to get it well again. I can be obnoxious at times about how SOME people treat their pets. I promise to keep it to myself though. LOL

It's good to be home, both literally and here at the Rossblog!

Chriann: Oh I'm feeling your heartache this morning! I remember that day, but mine was 30 yrs ago. I held it back till the bus pulled away, and I cried the whole way home, and kept watching the clock wondering what he was doing at that time, and if he missed me as much as I was missing him.LOL I was a stay at home mom, so this was the first time I ever left him with a stranger, so to speak, I couldn't wait till it was time for him to come back that day. And hear about everything he did. He survived better then I did! LOL.... WOW seems like only yesterday! Then the fallowing year my second one had to leave for the first time, so it was a repeat. But we all got thru it! Life is GREAT! Now I have a grandson who starts kindergarten next month, Here I go again! His Mom works now, so he has been with me since she went back to work when he was 2. Oh I'm NOT looking forward to this!!! But He'll be FINE!!!! And so will your lil man! And so will YOU! LOL

First day of school and he pulled it off like a champ. It was such commotion that neither one of us had time to cry. I think it helped that i took him there last week to meet his teacher and scope out the room. He knew right were to go and where to sit. So proud :)

Cathy in Pa., nothing yet...her due date is the 23rd but I talked with her yesterday and she feels she will be going any day now. She said she feels the baby has dropped. I unfortunately won't be with her or the triplets when the new granddaughter is born. My sister and my son-in-laws parents will be helping out. I plan to go when my daughter comes home with the baby and stay for a week. I can't wait!
Sounds like you had a great time in Watkins Glen. I'm not a fan of camping in the rain but glad you had fun regardless of it.
