Happy post American Idol day!

Congrats to David Cook!!! He must be having quite an amazing day today. I, on the other hand, am always a bit sad to see another season of my favorite reality shows end. Why? Because we have SO long to wait until next season.

And now with both Big Brother and American Idol done for a while, what do I watch?!? What shows are YOU gonna watch now?!? Help a brother out and give me some suggestions in our COMMENT SECTION, okay?

In other news...

I had a very busy morning (bringing my best friend Kim to the airport, meetings on the other side of town, etc.), but I managed to squeeze in a TALKY BLOG and a lil' adventure for us to enjoy.

Happy Day after David Cook was crowned the Idol '08 Day. I loved Archie, but I can't wipe the stupid grin off my face :)

As for shows to watch after Idol, I'd go with So You Think You Can Dance.
Same producers as Idol, just with dancing instead of singing. I am stoked for this show to start tonight!

And regarding the Mole. I remember watching it way back in the day, don't remember too much about it though. Should be interesting.

Side Note: Anyone know when the new Amazing Race starts? I love love love that show.

The tour of Hollywood was pretty good, that will be the one and only time I will get a personal tour, thank you.
I didn't watch AI last night but I heard a lot about it today and it seems like everyone is happy with David Cook being picked. What I did hear him singing was great and so was the other David.
I love watching Clean House and Dress My Nest, those shows amaze me especailly Clean House because we get to see how these people live in such terrible clutter and how they sell most of their belongings and then the Clean House people clean it up and redecorate. Mr. Burnetz comes up with some great ideas.
You asked for some ideas of what to watch now that BB and AI is over with so here are two of them, I don't know if you ever saw either of these shows but they are good.

That was fun; I knew exactly where you were. I LOVE driving through the Beverly Hills neighborhoods and looking at all the ginormous houses. And The Grove is amazing shopping and such a cool environment. Don't worry about making it to the La Brea Tar Pits. I went there last year and it's really just a small museum of prehistoric LA/CA. Not too exciting unless you're really into that stuff I suppose.

What did u think about American Idol?

I kind of thought that it was obnoxiously long, and that they totally waited until the last minute to announce the winner. I heard that a lot of people who recorded it on Tivo only got to hear "The winner is David..." and then Tivo cut it off. Pretty funny.

Love the tour. You should do more of them. Maybe take it to the Ocean. I live in Florida, but never realized how many people have never seen a beach or ocean. I lived my whole life within 20 minutes of the beach. I never thought about it because I was born here. I feel bad for others. So maybe show the beach, or maybe Rodeo Drive.

We had a crazy storm yesterday. What takes me 10 minutes to get home took me 2 hours yesterday because of all the flooded streets.
Anyway I did hear that a tornado touched down in Los Angeles and picked up a train??? Wow I did hear about flooding but hope everything is ok. Train damage is not so bad to hear about.

I suggest "The Mole" starting June 12th. It's a really great reality show that hasn't been televised for several years. It was only on for 2 regular seasons, 3 if you include "Celebrity Mole" (enjoyable).

My daughter is a shift manager at one of our Starbucks (yes, Squamish has 2 locations!). They hire the most amazing people! The staff get really excited when celebrities stop by...lately it's been Gene Simmons and Shannon Tweed...they bought a home here!!! SERIOUSLY!!!! I'm sure when you walk in the door - the excitement level goes WAY up too!!

I know I don't comment everyday, but, just need to tell someone that isn't involved in my "real" life.

I found out this morning at 8am that my brother passed away late last night.
he was a single Dad with 4 kids (all in their 20's now) and one of them is getting married on 05/31/08.
I will be away from the blog for a little while, but, never fear will be back. I need my Ross fix to help deal with the grief once it gets quiet around here again.

anyone having any suggestions on how to tell my son (just turned 13 on 05/19) please let me know. He's a very loving and sensative young man. (he still cries when he thinks about his gold fish that he lost 4 months ago). He's got a big heart and it's going to be so hard for him. He knew that his Uncle had less than 48 hrs to live, but, we were told that yesterday and he wanted to go see him today after school.

well, thanks and please everyone, tell your family and friends that you love them today. Don't wait!
