Did you watch me on The Tonight Show last night? Didya didya?

If you did, you saw what happened behind-the-scenes when I co-hosted The View last week and I hope the segment gave you a glimpse of what it's like backstage at that show.

In today's TALKY BLOG, I take you backstage at our show - The Tonight Show - and into my dressing room and beyond as I get ready to go out on stage and introduce my segment with Jay on the stage. Along the way you'll get to meet some Tonight Show staff members, watch me stuff my face with a fruit platter and have a mini meltdown about my outfit.

In other news...

I have a lil' sinus/allergy thingy going on. I don't know why I'm writing about it on the blog, other than it's what's on my mind right now. It sucks. I don't know when it happened, but somewhere as I've grown into adulthood I've developed sinus and allergy problems. It's highly annoying and it makes me feel super old - like I'm one step away from arthritis and liver spots.

Tonight I'm staying in and listening to my favorite radio program, Coast to Coast with George Noory (click HERE). It's on an AM station in Los Angeles every night from 10pm to 3am and I always fall asleep to it. It's all about aliens and bigfoot and psychics and ghosts and whatnot and I love every second of it. Tonight they're doing a special show on Ouija Boards and just the thought of it freaks me out. I can't wait!

Hey Ross, How about I told everyone about you being on the Tonight show last night (they know what a freak I am over you) and what happed???I effen fell asleep! I even had someone as back up at my house in case I fell asleep to wake me up, and guess what...He fell asleep! Damn him. He swears he didnt fall asleep and they just didnt have you on but obviously we both missed it. Damn it again!

BTW,someone earlier in this blog mentioned using a nose "bidet," which my doctor recommended for my daughter for her sinuses. You can get it at any pharmacy. You just use it to flush out the nasal passages.

Oh Ross, Thanks for the behind the scenes. Think both outfits looked good. The first pair of shoes might have been a little too snazzy, but they would have been fine.

I can't wait until your next segment. It will be great. Where are you going to go. Hey, maybe you could do your version of "Where in the World is Matt Lauer?" except it would be "Where in the World is Ross Mathews (with one t TTS!)?" It was so crazy in chat last night, that I had one of my sons reading the post comments to me while I watched Ross on TTS and typing at the same time! It was so busy in there, it looked just like an old ticker tape! Lots of family fun for us last night!

I love radio shows like that. I used to work late at night and comming home we would listen to this show about ghost and strange things. For the first part of our going home trip I was with my girlfriend, the second part (10 miles) I was always alone. Boy, did I ever get freaked out by some of the stories. I sped alot during those times. I could get from N FTW to S FTW in about 10 minutes. My husband would say how did you get home so quick? I would just say no traffic duh! (2-3am)

My friends and I were totally addicted to our Ouija board when we were in Jr. High. Does anyone remember going into a dark room (closet) with a mirror and repeating "Mary Worth" over and over until you saw her in the mirror?? Scared ourselves silly doing that!

emjay (South Dakota, yes people live here) I laugh everytime I see your name. My hubby went to school at Black Hills State and we spent our honeymoon at the Spearfish Canyon Lodge. I LOVED every minute I have spent in SD. Ok, there was that minute up in the canyon when I had to pee on the old logging road and no porta-potty, but other then that it was awesome!

Has last night's TTS aired in Singapore yet? Is it safe to discuss it yet?

I am so delighted that the segment which TTS and Ross created was a "bold commentary" (you know, for a comedy segment) on The View experience and not merely comical sucking up to powerful network forces (although yes, it did have me giggling - my toes were all curling up within my footie pjs).

It exposed what I have looooooooong suspected (ever since the days of Barbara Walters in Bill Blass gettin' all "Texas cheerleader mom" on Debbie Matenopoulos's every other word), and that is this: the problem with that show (commonly known as The View, seen weekday mornings on ABC) is the Walters woman herself!

THERE! I have finally spoken out on this most distressing and long drawn out nightmare which has gripped our nation (and those countries which may get The View on satellite feed, too) for lo these many years.

Its tense there at The View all the time (no matter the rotation of ducks in the shooting gallery) because of, well, exactly what we all witnessed just this past evening. And it boils down to one woman who is surely an icon but one who is now clearly using her powers...for evil.

And Bill Geddie? I know I'm tall and Ross is sort of tall (I think). But where's that man measure in at? MY god, his bald head was nearly scraping the ceiling tiles! Oh, by the by: Now you see, to me, I could see Bill Geddie being the sort of man in a Speedo that might make passengers (and Rosie) aboard a family-oriented all-inclusive cruise turn their (bugged out) eyes in shame as he does poolside squats.

What was the comedic irony in the Ross's segment was that it also taught us all a little something about television. Or how (almost) everything and (almost) everyone is "opposite" in opposite tvland.

Now, why can't Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Joy Behar, for instance, bring any of that (tepid) warmth and (hard-pressed) niceness we saw in them in TTS segment to the table when the ON AIR sign is lit at The View?

Or how is it that BW can come across like she knows where she is while ON AIR when just moments earlier, in a hallway, she obviously was having a hard time knowing the Ladies Room from an EXIT door (or a co-host from some guy who ought to be running to get her coffee).

Have I said too much? :D

oh and then, today on The View, I loved BW's attempted reciprocated-diss of Jay Leno. lol. She's so passive-aggressive. When will that woman just retire to her Park Ave. apartment already!? Take a trip. Work with pottery clay.

Hi Rossy, you spirit of love!!! thank goodness you finally helped us to understand what happened at the View and that you were definitely attuned by BW's unwarranted rudeness. She made herself look a fool - acting all discombulated and afret as if she didn't even remember her decision. It was strange.. and Joy was no peach ice cream either.. But you were able to video the truth of it all with your injection of love!! Life goes on and believe me your fans do not want to see anyone be rude to our Rossy. BW really did an oweee boo-boo and that is something that she will have to deal with (if she can get her butt and head out of her ego-centric cloud she lives in). Love how you handled it. I know you were thrilled to do it and you made it into something funny and good. I just adore you and yes, your shirt was cute!!! How does it feel Ross, when so many people you don't know, share their love for your. Isn't it neat? Doesn't it show how we are all connected and you are so special that you are in the heart of the wholeness that all of us correct. BW is in the pinky toenail or the small colon..:-). You are the heart!!

Bobbi-Jo, please see your own local dr & don't rely on any blog advice as you could get yourself in real big trouble such as drinking too much water leading to water intoxication. Fibromyalgia has multiple painful locations, but some might not hurt at all times unless palpated. Rely on treatment providers who see you in person & not someone's best educated guess on a blog. It also might just be old age creeping in, sad to say. Good luck.

As for your Talky Blog, Ross you are unmatched anywhere, The stuff you come up with "off the cuff" (and I don't care if it's not; the delivery is spot on perfect) is so funny, so real, that you should bottle and sell it next to the Prozac. You are destined to go far.

Last night was fun. It took me a little bit to get into the chat but it was great. I'll have to do it more often.

Ross was sooo right to change the shirt and shoes. He looked better after the change.

Ross has become my pick me up even when I don't need a pick me up. I guess he's my Starbucks, I need my daily fix of his humor and personality. I wish I had been tuned in sooner.

Like you couldn't be any cuter! Oh my word, Ross, you look handsome as ever in bold gravy. :)

Anyhoo, sorry to hear about the allergies. Those Santa Ana winds in LA are a beotch aren't they? Try sterilized saline spray to help your sinus' stay moisturized and clear. I've personally had allergies all my life and after being on multiple products, they all sorta stopped working in the last few years. [I'm in my early 40's]. Finally got up the nerve to go to an acupuncturist. Initially it took 6 months to balance my chi or rearrange my chakras and whatnot but now I only go about 3 times a year. Fabulous! I no longer walk around from Feb. - July carring a kleenex box!

As for Ouji boards...Just Say NO! Put down the indicator thingie and step slowly away. Think of it this way people: you don't send out party invites if you don't want people coming over.

Ross, thank you, thank you, thank you for all the behind the scenes of TTS! It was GREAT! You were also PERFECT in the segment and it showed the REAL truth didn't it?

OMG! So many things to talk about!! Loved the segment last night on TTS - I have to say, Barbara was a little rude, but you were great and totally stood up to her comments!! Good for you!! I saw that MOM has a bag from the View - how fun!! Now she can carry around groceries or other things in her super-cool View bag!!

I also loved that you came into chat - it was soo busy in there, but lots of fun!! You are so kind to switch from room to room to talk to everyone a little and then to say goodnight. You are so thoughtful!!

And then today's Talky Blog! Oh how fun!!! I love behind the scenes of anything so seeing the pre-Ross-on-TV stuff was great! You looked fine in both outfits from Bold Gravy, but I do the same thing and freak out about clothes at the last minute too. I thought you looked fab!!

Seriously though, you did a wonderful job AGAIN! there certainly is a BIG difference between backstage at The View and backstage at TTS. The atmosphere is different, probably due to Jay's attitude as opposed to Ms. Walters and her personality (if you can call it that.) I can testify that the leader does set the tone of the employees. Our latest principal is evidence of that. Morale at TTS seems to be so positive. Good place for a positive guy like you to be working!!!!!

Re Allergies: I bet the "adult" part of your life you're referring to is the part since you've lived in So Cal. It's a disaster for allergies there! All that smog, dust and smoke will KILL your sinuses. I'm a Midwestern girl who was transplanted in So Cal for a year and a half. I was utterly miserable the whole time. I hope you can find some relief!

thanks for your advice as well...I don't think Dr. Dee was leading me in the wrong direction. I have done a lot of research online about my symptoms and read about food being a culprit...

I plan to see a nutritionist, as well as get more tests done.

I love that there are healthy, home remedies that can be tried along with expert help.

I, too checked out the YouTube video, "Snubbed by Ross Mathews". The girl in the video should realize that Ross is only one person! I am sure he gets tons of e-mails, comments, etc., daily. Even though he would like to connect personally with each individual, it is truly impossible. She should just be thankful she has a way to send him a message, or see him in chat from time to time. If she gets answered, then that is great! She should just be grateful for what Ross is able to provide and do for his fans which most celebrities do not.

Please - if you can't write something nice, don't write anything at all.

You wrote that 'many' find Kevin tiresome, yet from what I've read today, 'many' are tired of people posting - on purpose - behind the name 'Anon', so what are you basing your facts upon? I saw many compliments going out to Kevin T. which is opposite of what you stated in your post.

On what facts are you basing the statement that Kevin's jokes are with grannies? Weeks back, we had a poster attack Ross saying that 'all his fans' were grannies. At that time, it was written that although Ross has some granny fans (whom we all adore), the demographic of the Ross fan base is quite diverse, in age / sex / region.

Kevin T. has never written that he thinks he is clever. Many admirers of Kevin T. have stated that they love how clever Kevin T. is.

If Kevin T. really gets under your skin, why not just do what Ross suggested weeks ago to everyone (not about Kevin T., in particular) -- if someone posts something you don't agree with, just skip over it, have a nice day, and stay positive.

There's enough strife in the world without adding it to this nice, peaceful blog community.

I thought what you wore last night looked great, it must be stressful when you're not totally sure what to wear right before you go out, but as you walked out you looked fine!

I wanted to make a couple of comments today: 1) the talky blog today was so great and interesting as well. 2)I was at lunch with a couple of friends and they were talking about TTS last night and Ross and I felt like they were talking about my son or something (and we are "old grannies"...60). 3) Kevin T: your blogs are very enjoyable Emjay: Just came back from Mt Rushmore with grandkids and we had a great time Trey: loved your cruise pictures, thank you. I think we just happened to be posting at nearly the same moment (which should be of no surprise to us) so I spotted that exact same "possibility of confusion", too, when I saw the post order.

For those interested: Ami and I have decided that will never take a mission on the same SPACE shuttle since we do similar things which are frequently separated by only .000067 secs (which in outer space can mean, well, ooooh, I don't even want to think about).

Instead, it was most definitely in reference to the utterly loopy rosiefan chick mentioned in that post.

I wouldn't even meet my own mother in a doggy park, let alone some wild-eyed someone on YouTube getting all mad that I failed to show up. And then posts that on YouTube, too!

OMG I used to listen to George Noory many years ago and fall asleep listening to you. Thank you for the link to listen to him. It's was sooooo fun seeing/talking to you in chat last night. I was so proud of you and couldn't stop watching your expressions during the show. You are just priceless. I watched probably 20 of your videos from last year today and my very favorite was you and Jesse James in the off road vehicle in Laughlin. I laughed so hard, it was great. I usually do not bother with someone who insists on giving a monologue, and not being receptive to an open honest dialogue.

But, heck, I have a little time on my hands while I wait on a Labrador Retriever to be delivered to me for aid, that was horribly abused. In that vain, I want to offer my help to you as well - I would like to try one more time to ask you to examine your humanity.

I'm listening. And if you don't want to answer, please take a little time to asks this of yourself. Can you explain why you can not just scroll past Kevin T's postings? It seems as though you are tracking his comments. Why? Do you feel left out?

Why are you insisting he go into chat? Do you not go into chat? If you do go into chat, then why would you want someone that bothers you to be in there with you? If you do not go into chat, then how do you know that he isn't in there?

Many of us here enjoy Kevin's girthy persona. Why do you think anyone, other than Ross, should have the right to deny us of that pleasure on Ross' blog?

Your opinion is that Rosie has it right about speedos. I believe everyone has a right to an opinion, and I believe that Rosie would agree with that as well. However, I do not think Rosie would agree with the negativity that you are throwing out to Kevin T. If you are a fan of Rosie and Ross, why not follow their example?

Give love, love, love. If you can't, then simply say nothing at all. Didn't Ross just set that example with his View experience?

If you are just longing for attention, please reconsider and post with a name, and I'm sure you will be welcome into this community with open arms.

moweenie - Yes...I'm in Dallas. Thanks for checking in! The explosions were crazy but (thankfully) contained to an industrial area. I believe there are only 2 serious injuries...amazing, considering the severity of the fires.

It was crazy to watch those barrels shoot into the sky and explode. The biggest worry was the SPCA evacuation a couple of blocks away (all animals out safely). And, we all experienced that post-9/11 relief when we learned it was an accident.

On to other things...

cpgem8 - No worries. I don't think there is a blogger here that would take one of your posts negatively. I think you embody the spirit that Ross intended on this blog.

emjay (South Dakota, yes people live here): I spent the first 27 years of my life in SD: 14 years on the plains (Dell Rapids & Sioux Falls SD) AND 13 years in the Black Hills (Spearfish, where I, too attended Black Hills State University).

There are TONS of smart and funny people living in SD! I've been in CO now for 9 years, and I miss SD people often.

I did watch you on the tonight show last night, and you were great. I like Barbara Walters but I didn't like the way she was treating you, saying when did I say yes to you guest hosting the view, and how she didn't know who you were. You know the only time I watch the view is when you have been on it, so if it wasn't for you I wouldn't watch it on those days. Let me tell you I like the people behind the scenes on the tonight show a lot more than the ones behind the view. I also didn't like what the producer of the view said when you asked about the rumors of you being on the view as co-host. I felt like they were being rude. Anyhoo, I love you and I watch you any second I can, you cheer me up when I'm down, and always make me laugh. I felt nervous for you when they came in and said 10 minutes to showtime. You looked so good last night.

Thanks for asking, and yes I would have to say that being here on the blog has been therapeutic for me.

For the last 6 or 7 weeks I have sat in my apartment, not wanting to go outside or see people. In that time I started to read this blog and all the comments posted everyday.

What has amazed me the most is that I am not alone. Other people have posted similar stories. It didn't matter how down I was, there was always someone I connected with here on the blog. I may not have commented but I always read the blog.

With medication I am now leaving my apartment more and actually reconnecting in person with my friends.

I have said before and I will say it again now, I'm not sure Ross realizes just exactly how powerful this blog has become. We are able to connect with people we would never have met otherwise.

I have read, I have posted and I have begun to feel more like myself again. I want to take this moment to thank everyone here in Rossland (you know who you are) and Ross for this wonderful place to connect and grow. Thank you all very much! Sorry for the lengthy post.

Her dentures are soaking and she's got the craftmatic adjustable bed set and her life alert on her neck at that hour. Clapper ready to go. Seriously - maybe her AGE shouldn't matter - but there has to be some excuse for her rotten behavior. I felt SICK after her comment right before you went on. HAG!!! ARGH!! But I understand that you have to stay composed and be prof. as always - since you want to keep the peace with all the peeps in the industry. I get it. Just know we were growling at the tv when she sprayed her polident all over the place.

Whatever - didn't matter. She had no idea who you really were or how much you are LOVED. She will one day soon however.

Just popping in to update the animal lovers who have been so supportive and sending their love to our rescue's new lovely lady - Lily, a yellow lab.

What an absolute sweetheart! I gave her hugs from all the BB's that asked me to do so. She has not stopped locking eyes with me from the first moment we saw each other. I swear to you there is no better feeling in the entire world and I hope you all get to experience it at least once.

A little background:
Her prior owners left her to die in their abandoned house, chained up without food or water. Even worse, she had just had a liter of puppies that were obviously pulled away from her too soon and no one knows what happened to the puppies. The owner? Now in jail!

Lily? Now sleeping at my feet, with my 2 dogs right next to her. When I picked her up tonight, she had a huge black ring around her neck, left there by the heavy chain that kept her held prisoner. First order of business was a wonderful bubble bath for this Princess in Process. Tomorrow we head to the vet for her vaccinations and spay.

Thank you BB's for getting me through my anger when I first found out about Lily's plight, and allowing me to vent about some of the humans with which we share our world.

Ross: I, too, have sinus/allergy problems. As many of the bloggers probably remember, I had sinus surgery around Thanksgiving last year, and I'm doing MUCH better. But I still use my neti pot, which I absolutely HATE to use but it really does help A LOT. You might want to give one of them a try.

Here's just a constructive thought, I suggest that instead of a bunch of "oldies" nominating and voting for each other, why not nominate a "newbie" as "blogger of month"?

To be honest, I've read more interesting posts from "newbies" than the usual recipe exchanging, coffee clutching, "how are your kids and what is your husband doing", and "here are our rules" posts that I read from much of the "oldies", (or what's worst is the long rambling posts that have nothing at all to do with Ross, but instead of just a series of '"hi"s).

Also if you are going to nominate your choice publicly, why not post a specific reason why you are nominating him, rather than simply turning this honor into a popularity contest?

Didn't Barbara Walters know that she was being filmed, Ross? She didn't seem to know what day it was in that clip last night. I don't see her on with Jay Leno much so maybe she doesn't like him. I don't know. But I say it anyway because it was apparent she did not like your Tonight Show cameras.

As for BoTM: I do give a fair bit of weight to blog longevity in my BoTM choices. I've seen many bloggers come and go, some who were very active. The best predictor of future behavior is past behavior, and the "long-timers" have a track record that suggests that they will be around well into the future.

This stuff is enough to scare the hell out of you with all the Ouiji Board talk and the bad spirits that can come to you. I'm still listening though, I want to hear the experiment. Played with one of these years ago after my mom died and got a person with a horrible name like Norjac, or something like that. Told us stuff that was scary and that he was male and would like to come again. That was it....(Brand new board and I threw it away that very night)
I left the whole experience with the thought of just sticking to my Christian beliefs cause that thing was really a bad experience.

I am also frustrated with people who say that people
are rude in chat. Well in chat there are new names

first was in chat it was hard to keep up. People
explained things to me. I would say that I understand

Guess who is up at 3:30 AM East coast time????

That's right boys and girls! It's the Mini Horse Mom (in waiting) from North Carolina!!!

Got up with Flashlight and flip flops, trotting though the tall wet grass (just heavy dew) to see why Sunny was Laying in the hay! False alarm (tho my heart stopped beating and has just now regained a rhythm)

As I check her all through the night... she lays down alot in her soft bed of hay, but I was still hopeful that her "foaling time had arrived" when I saw her laying... legs moving alot. Oh well... back to bed now. False alarm. (Miniature Horses lay alot compared to full size horses, sometimes hours a day)

I am making a web site just for Ross Blog Buddies so when the blessed event FINALLY happens I can share the foal pics with ya'll. (and then you will know I was not pulling your legs about waiting for the birth! LOL!!!!)

I was in Ross chat for a brief time tonight.... still learning, it was FUN and everyone was so nice. THANKS again for being nice to me, as I have just started the "Chatty thingy". :)

I'm a "big Horse" person too! But cancer treatments have made me not able to ride comfortably in this stage of my life... so I HAD TO down-size my horses! THUS, Miniatures came into my life. Hubby was in Iraq over a year, and while he was gone I got my first Minis! He loves them TOO! We are addicted, they ARE like Potato Chips! Watch out! LOL~!

Had our first foal 6 weeks ago, and they are a HOOT! Just like little puppies, not like the big horses. They are under your feet all the time, even when turned loose in the yard - they are worse than my dogs about being in my lap! yes, MY LAP!!! Of Course I still love the big guys, my Palomino and Quarter Horse are in Georgia now raising a "2nd generation" of riders with brother's kids!

I'll keep the BlogBuddies informed and of course I love keeping up with ROSS because he seems to be one of the most "REAL" people I have ever seen in the industry!

Ross is SO REFRESHING, he is over-the-top with excitement that is so genuine and infectious. I just wish there were more "souls" like ROSS in this world... if not in Hollywood! Sorry to hear you're having sinus issues. I have some homeopathic advice for you if you're interested. You can google this for validity if you like :)

If you think you have a sinus infection, or feel one coming on, it's very important to flush the microbes from your system BEFORE you take anything to dry up your dripping sinuses!

Hands down, the best thing for this is horshradish. Just a dab in a spinich or other leafy salad, or a dab on a sandwich will cause your nose to run and flush the microbes out of your sinuses.

Then you can turn your attention to getting the dripping to stop, and to prevent it from returning if you have allergies.

For this, you'll need some sage. You can grow your own or buy it from an herbalist. There are many types of sage.

What you're looking for is Salvia Officinalis. This is the correct type of sage for this type of use.

You need to take the new leaves off the plant and make a tea by pouring boiling water over them. Use as many as you like for your chosen strenth in tea.

Sage tea can be a bit strong, so it's recommended that you mix the sage leaves with chammomile to make the tea pleasant tasting. Add some ginger to make it even better!

Summary: To flush microbes for a sinus infection, use a dab of horseradish as a condiment in the food of your choice as soon as you feel it coming on.

To stop dripping sinuses and keep them dry, make some chammomile tea with ginger and add new sage leaves from the sage family "Salvia Officinalis".

When sinues are running badly, you'll need several cups of tea a day at first. Once under control, a cup a day with breakfast should do well as a preventative.

Ouija Boards are NOT the gateway to the devil and they are NOT evil. They are nothing more than a tool.

HOWEVER, this particular tool for some reason seems to connect people with lower energies. I DON'T recommend them for anyone, and I especially do not recommend them for people who don't know what they're doing.

There are significantly safer ways to connect with Spirit and loved ones in Spirit without putting onself at risk for connecting with lower energies.

As a first step to those who are interested, I recommend learning about meditation and psychic & spiritual protection.

Just checked her site and if someone on here has a line of communication to Ross, I would give him a heads up to definitely not communicate with her.

Under July 25 titled Stalker Update about Rosie. This girl is attempting to find out where Rosie is staying in LA so she can post it. Makes a joke about stalking but people reading may not know where to draw the line.

I sent a message via rosie.com to check the site. If Ro supplies info to it, she should stop. Chances of her reading my submission are pretty slim.

Ross would be able to email Rosie to give her heads up. This girl is honestly scarry. I don't see the loyalty of her being a Rosie fan. Plus what she has the page on her site with the picture of Ross listed under together with the youtube video. If she was a real Rosie fan, why would she be trying to hurt a good friend of Ro's? That video is titled and listed negatively.

I jsut had to come on and tell you that I am a very proud mommy today. My 10 month old baby girl took 3 steps today she look at me then fell on her bum and claped her hands. It brought tears to my eyes. She growing so fast.

I am fairly new too. When I went into chat, I had set up my profile, put up a pic, said Hi and joined the fun.

You can't be shy. If you're shy, you won't 'type' and no one will talk to you. So, jump in the talk, be funny, be wise, don't be rude.

The "oldbies" are fun. Yes, they might be only talking amongst each other, but that's because they've known each other a lot long and they have a LOT of inside jokes.

It's not scarey, it's fun. You gotta be flexible and not say ME ME ME LOOK AT ME!

Anyway, I know others have said the same thing....take it to heart.

I started reading Ross' blog in December '06, and started posting a couple of months ago. My office blocked outgoing messages on the internet, so I was unable to comment. When I started working from my home office, I was anxious to begin posting...but I was worried about joining what seemed to be such a tight knit community. But EVERYONE welcomed me. The Ross bloggers were kind, helpful and open to new contributions. Many people went out of their way to make me feel at home and show me the ropes. I am very grateful!

Hey Everyone! Just came in this morning to say a quick hello!

Mikey-I just looked at the cruise itinerary, and they are coming to THE TOWN NEXT TO MINE! ON MY ISLAND! who would have thought!? I am definitely going to be heading over to Newport that day next summer, so if any of you go on the cruise and would like a local's tour...I'll be there!!! So exciting!

Oh, I would like to make a comment on Blogger of the Month. I think to be fair, you need to vote based on the blog. Not on the blog and chat. There are alot of people who only see this blog and don't "know" the people in chat. I do both, so its something I think about when I vote- I try to seperate the two in my head.(and being blonde I have been told there is lots of empty space in there for things to roll around!)
Just my thought, I personally have favorite 'bloggers' and favorite 'chatters' and they are not necessarily the same.

MAYBE Ross can start a chatter of the month too?

To all of you concerned about my back Thank you! You know who you are!!! Rachelulu, Sandi, hartldo.

I am such a dork. I worked at the foodbank yesterday. They but me on donation duty and I had to weigh all of the food donations and log them in. We had a donation of 5 boxes of tortillas. Silly me I still think I am twenty and started to shift and weigh the boxes. Well one of them was 65 lbs and I thought nooooo problem! Well I think you can guess, yes it was a problem. I may think I am 20 in my head but my body is saying very clearly 45.

Shirley NCC: I am sending you extra special ((((Hugs)))) I am so proud of you! You go girl!

Trey: I am going to try and see your pics and website today! I promise.

Lisa Ann: I live in Rainier WA now but I have lived in Lynnwood and Everett too. I still have family that live up your way. We need to get a group of WA blog buddies together! That would be a hoot.

Ami(RFC):Your post made me cry. I am so glad that horrible person is in Jail!!!

Goldie: Veddy interesting! I've always done my assessment by jointly considering blog and chat activity, and incorporating the rough equivalent of an interaction term: if someone is active on the blog, AND active in chat, they get the highest consideration.

Babydoll O"Burn. By "George's show" I meant George Noory from Coast to Coast. I listen to him all the time. I live alone with my two dogs and I get spooked. When the talky blog disappeared from the screen as I was thinking about his show I thought maybe the 'spirits' had removed it.

I generally skip over Kevin T.'s posts myself (I won't list the reasons as I don't want to offend or be hurtful). However, it sounds like he's going to get the majority of votes for BOTM anyway. He obviously has many friends on here and I'm sure he is a very nice man and a good friend to many of you. I'm pretty sure that a vote for him or any other lite conversationalist blogger would be a popularity vote. Is that so wrong? Thats for you to decide. Personally, I will vote for a really interesting insightful blogger, probably not one who posts lite conversations everyday. I will probably vote for one of the many loving, beautiful posts submitted the other day under the topic "Diaries" or "Journals", or the gentleman who posted his pride about his daugther's race. I will go back and read and research and make an honest vote, just as I would in all general elections. These will be the posts that have moved me, and in my opinion, are real and beautiful expressions of life, not merely witty or gabby. There are so many really good, positive uplifting entries on here that I think it would be a shame to vote for someone out of popularity and not really take the time to research and find the blog that really exemplies the nature of Ross. Thats my two cents worth, BB.

Lynn D.- I totally feel for you.I'm fourty and being the impatient person that I am, I didn't want to wait for the gardener to come on Friday to pull up a tree that I have in the back yard and replant in another place. Well this tree has been there for at least ten yrs. so it had 4-5 ft. roots. It took me a good four hours and my lower back is just feeling better from Monday.
I love yard work, but had to give it up in 1992 due to my hip replacement. But I've healed up quite well according to my orthopedic.
So Ihope/pray your feeling better.

I am back among the living today though. I do not know much about Gainesville, as I only have traveled through there on the way to Anna Maria Island to see my sis. Hope everyone is doing well. As usual, I have been reading the blog daily, but have not had time to comment. :( The house remodel is in the final stages of completion and I have been staying there most nights until midnight or later. I would much rather be blogging or chatting than getting dirty from drywall dust and having sweat pouring down my face. LOL

As many of you know, my friend in Atlanta was diagnosed with breast cancer about 6 weeks ago and underwent surgery yesterday. She pulled through the surgery just fine, but will have to stay in the hospital until Sunday. Sooooo.......ATLBISCUIT I need your help. Actually it is true - if you choose never to chat, you can only make a choice based on comments. And if you only chat, its really hard to get into the comment-blogger's flow of conscientiousness as it pertains to relating to the site overall.

And I don't see why, in theory at least, that a brand new-newbie couldn't be a BotM. It is a FAN site to a great extent here. Isn't it? Some people are huge FANS of someone or something long before they start typing comments at a web site (lets not forget).

So theoretically, why shouldn't a newbie who has shown to be a good blogger win? And the same goes for a first pilgrims. Just because a longtooth in buckle shoes has been around a long time shouldn't exclude him or her from becoming a BotM either. I think selecting a BotM (if such a thing needs to exist) should be based on the best blogger THAT MONTH (blogger of the month - BotM).

I don't think "criteria" can be mandated other than that the BotM shouldn't have called Ross a name or posted anonymously 100x. Otherwise, each month, perhaps Anonymous could be named BoTM!

(And the funny thing is - there ARE some months when I think (an) Anonymous should win!) lol

Unless you first elect some board of regents, currently the BotM thing is an public "secret" vote via e-mail to Ross by his fans (many who may NEVER make their presence known on the blog) so everyone would have their own particular set of criteria which guided their particular "vote".

So, IMO its difficult to "mix" concepts of an open ballot vote with those of a "selection committee" voting process (or "decision").

In the end, it all depends on what a voter considers to be the actual purpose in having or naming a BotM.

Maybe like the Oscars, more categories need to be created?

As it is, im sitting here in Houston, watching it rain, baking cupcakes for my neice, Georgianna. she is 5 years old today. she called me last night, and asked me to make her some princess cupcakes from a chef. cute. i might not agree with her father, and deal with how he treats us, but i love that girl. we arent invited to her birthday party, but, she is going to see my mom tonight, so im going to bring them over there so she can enjoy them at grammas.

Lady Dove: That's great homeopathic advice regarding sinuses (I have this problem too). If I could just add, it's terribly important to be cautious with certain herbal remedies.

Chammomile, for example is a very strong allergen for many people. I can't use it in products due to skin reactions, and I met a woman at the doctor's office, who showed me terrible month-old burns up and down her arms, neck, and part of her chest, that developed just from drinking the tea. She has to use an epi-pen now, in case of a fatal allergic reaction to the stuff. They're putting that garabe in EVERYTHING now.

Medicines can cause reactions as well, but I would recommend starting with the LEAST invasive treatment. And that can even include "living with" the problem, until it gets intolerable, and you have to treat it.

I haven't watch BB since Chicken George was on. The people seemed to be getting weirder and weirder. Has it gotten better?

If you have a chinatown near you ask for Yin Chaio. Great for colds, allergies.... there are two forms, pellet type tablets and coated. Get the pellet type they are more affective.... I don't use over the counter stuff anymore, I just get the herbs, works faster and is alot less expensive!

Just a thought... he said his jean size was 29 if I remember right, now at one time I bought 29's but my waist was more like 32. Its a levi thing, if I bought the 32's they were to lose.

Didn't Ross mention they may have been sized wrong? Possibility. Doesn't mean he lied, he was reading the tag.

I have a pair of shoes in my closet that say size 8 and they fit. Difference -- I wear a 5-1/2 - 6. Depends where items are made. Also find many companies marking items wrong size on purpose. Makes people feel better believing they are smaller size. You have to remember too, he is in LA and I would not be surprised if most clothing is marked wrong as everybody has to be 'Skinny Minny' there and wrong sizing fits into the program. Designer clothing is sized different to store clothing.

Ross is so proud of his weight loss that if he really does take a 32 or 34, I think he'd still be happy.

oh, I love crab cakes.
and they're so easy to make.
but it is true, you do need quality crab.
otherwise you can make salmon cakes and be just a happy (well, basically a lateral happiness).

i'm eating some sunflower seeds now. i may use some on top of a meat loaf tomorrow for added crunch.

i'm not essentially a granola-y-crunchy person, despite years in Santa Fe and Taos, but still, i do enjoy a good crunch every so often.

can Ross eat sunflower seeds? I wonder...if a person could make a grilled tofu with sunflower seeds as some form of a toasted crunch?

i mean, i know you could just toss them (the sunflower seeds, that is) into the salad with the tofu.

but to grill em right into a sunflower crunch (isn't that a happy phrase :) ) onto the tofu.

hmmm, I have a grill. i might just try that.

I a'm speaking from the dept of pain as i watch this twins baby girl and boy delivered and Abandoned in a local clinic by an Italian woman who was identified as Vivian Dieago bearly two days after birth.

All attempt to track her down to claim the babies and pay her clinical bill was proved aborted,

pls right now, the very hospital where the babies are kept is treathing to sale the babies to any body and not lokking at the denger of giving them to a non Godly home. So as such i stood to provide a nice family that will take care of this children.

Pls can i entrust them in your care?
