Saturday: topic of the day.

May 26, 2007

Happy Saturday, blog buddies!

Okay, so yesterday was AMAZING. Amazing, surreal, mind-blowing and every other adjective that is in that category. FANTASTIC! Did you watch?!? Didya didya?

Make sure to check in on Monday for the full story and behind-the-scenes photos of my day being a guest on The Tonight Show!

But it's the weekend and you know what that means - it's time for a TOPIC OF THE DAY!
TOPIC OF THE DAY logo.jpg

Not 3 minutes ago, as I was coming back home from my morning walk with Louise, I ran into my neighbor. This neighbor and her husband are the most amazing people. I seriously won the neighbor lottery. Seriously! I have a total friend crush on the both of them, but I'm always nervous that I'll smother them if I'm always "Wanna BBQ?!?" or "Wanna go get drinks?!?" or "Wanna play Yahtzee?!?" or whatever.

Anyway, they're great. And the best news?!? She just told me that she's about 3 months pregnant!!!

I'm SO SO SO SO excited! There's gonna be a new baby in the neighborhood!!!

A BIG congrats to my wonderful neighbors and, in honor of their big big big news, today's TOPIC OF THE DAY is...

Babies.

Go to our COMMENT SECTION and share YOUR thoughts!

And don't forget to check back Monday for the full behind-the-scenes blog!

Now my mom and I are off to do a bit of shopping and then a nice lunch. I hope YOU have a great Saturday, too!

Until tomorrow, blog buddies!

Ross..

We lucked out also in our neighbourhood and have the best neighbours too. We are all new owners here and have 3 other couples we hang out with..we call ourselves the Desperate Housewives - Wisteria Lane crew...As for babies..their so much fun, lots of rewarding work!.

Hi Ross!

Babies are GREAT! Were getting ready to have another little bundle in the family, a little boy. You were FANTABLOUS last night, loveing it.

Hi Ross,

What a great show last night!!

Had to shop WallyWorld last night for some necessities and while i like babies and small children, last night was a night to bring all crying, fit throwing toddlers.
Congrats to your neighbors and it was so great to see you last night. You were marvelous and we were so proud. :-)

Yay for me!! I finally made it first...it's like winning an award...OMG...LOVE IT! Have a great weekend all. BTW has anybody else caught the 'facebook' itch????

Well, Ross, being a mother of two children, I obviously LOVE babies! I find babies irresistible!! If I wasn't old and tired, I would have more children. I just love to hold them and smell that baby smell!!

Well I have a 6yr old, a 4yr old, and the youngest is 6 months. I obviously love babies. They get way to big way to fast. Just makes me want to have more babies so I will have one around.

BTW you did wonderful last night.

I have had four babies and it is the best thing in the world. They are so easy to love and kiss all over. They are also so confusing and challenging. It's the best and hardest thing I've ever done.

OH ROSS!
Iwatched you last night 2 times and you looked so wonderful and handsome~
and i just was so proud to know you!
You are such a fine young man~

xoxo

I'm still in happy tears after seeing LIZA last night

Great show last night Ross! Have a fun day with your mom today!

Ross...you were WONDERFUL last night! Congrats on a successful evening!

Babies....my oldest is 14 and my youngest is 11! Watching these 2 young ladies grow is the great honor ever given to me!

Our neice has a new baby as well....love him! So, sweet and a nice reminder that life is good and not to sweat the small stuff.

Ross...I am sad that Rosie will not be on The View anymore and that you were looking forward to being on with her. I hope everything works out....she is the best!

Lora

Ross you did really well last night. I enjoyed it.

I only had one child and she will be 20 on June 25th. She was a good baby and I did enjoy her. I never had much to do with babies so I went in inexperienced!

Hi Ross,
Babies, totally little miracles !!!!
My hubby has helped deliver hundreds !! He is an anesthesia provider and does the epidurals. He cries everytime he sees one being born and marvels at the beauty of each and every one.
Neighbors, what can I say...we hit the jackpot, too.
We had a fire in our garage in 2005 (two months after we moved in after waiting 14 months for the house to get built) The house was unlivable because of the water/smoke damage and our neighbors took us in, fed us, let us use their car (we lost 2 cars and our RV), let us stay there for a week while the insurance company looked for a rental for us. Well, we could not find anything close by, so the insurance co. rented us a 35 foot trailer and our neighbor let us park it on his lot and hook into his electricity/sewer. We stayed on their property for 6 months while our house was being refurbished. They wouldn't take any money so we bought them 3 day passes to Disneyland. Love 'em to death!

Ross you're so awesome! You're so lucky to have your mom still around to go shopping & to lunch with. Keep showing her & telling her how much you love & appreciate her! You were great last nite on TTS! As far as babies go, I like them if I can give them back to their parents when they start to cry. My two are grown and I like it that way! Luv ya!

One of my friends JUST had a baby, and we've been talking about this A LOT lately... I love tiny babies and toddlers on up. I'm not much into 5 months old. Babies are rarely comfortable when I hold them. Honestly, and I don't mean this to be funny, but I think heavier people do better with babies because they're more comfortable in a heavier person's arms. I'm thin and I just don't think babies are very comfortable when I hold them... I'm like a patio chair without the cushion! LOL!

i love babies, although i choose not to have any of my own.. Not because i dont like kids, i just believe that I'm not ready for them, emotionally or financially. I do have a 8 month ole Neice that i just adore..When i walk in the house and she smiles and reaches for me.. its the coolest feeling to be loved like that..I babysit for her quite often, Let my sister run errands or just rest...and my neice and i have bonded.. I have older neices and nephews, and i remember how much fun it was when they were babies. My oldest nephew is graduating high school this month.. He's 17 and 6'1.. i remember when he was a baby and i would give him piggy back rides! now hes taller than i am!! ohh this makes me feel old!!
Ross i watched you last night on Jay..Omg you were sooo funny! Dennis Miller was funny too.. "Houston Ramada" Paris's new cellmate lol
Sad to hear Rosie leaving so soon..but if its stressing her out.. shes gotta think of her health for her family.Alot of people dont get her honesty and blunt. Some can take it, some cant.. i always liked Rosie. i wish her happiness in her next adventure..

Ross dear, I hope someday you will have children be they from your own loins or adoption. I love all the stages of babyhood. The looks the little infants can give you when they stare at you while you feed them their bottle to the happy laughs they give when you play with them. I never even minded the poopy diapers. I would laugh and tell them they "tink" and they would smile while I cleaned them up. When they got to be about three months old I started blowing on their bellies. At first they thought I was crazy, but then they started laughing and when they got to the I need to turn on the changing table age they didn't turn. They laid there watching me with expectant faces knowing that when I was done and before I put their clothes back on I would blow on their bellies! They would squeal with laughter as they grabbed me by the side of my head with fists full of hair loving every minute of it. I loved it too. Oh Ross, you just must have a baby someday, maybe in your 30's. Hugs and Kisses!

Hi Ross! I did see you last night on TTS...you were great! You didn't seem nervous at all...did you decide to have that drink before your appearance? ;)

I love babies! My son is almost three, and my daughter is 10 months old today. They have been so much fun, and I think they have taught my husband and I just as much as we've taught them. I would love to have one more, but we'll see what happens; I've had two miscarriages, and my son has Down syndrome, so I'm still debating if I'm up for all the drama again. Of course, the end result is SO worth the drama...

I will also be an auntie again soon...like, next Monday! :) I can't wait to meet the newest member of our family!

Hope everyone has a great Saturday!

" I love babies! Babies are my favorite!" LOL!

I DO love babies, though! I once worked at a daycare where I was the only teacher in the nursery for 12 hours straight! 6 babies with different schedules...at first it seemed impossible, but then it was like second nature! I love them, and one day, we'll be lucky enough to have a little baby of our own!

Wishing everyone a great Saturday! GO SPURS GO! heehee! :)

Hugs to all,
Sarah

Hi Ross~
You were WONDERFUL last night!!! I smiled the whole time. Great Job.

Babies are great. If you want to be a great neighbor, cook you friends a meal or offer to babysit--often. They will be exhausted. I should know, I have two active little boys and I am still trying to remember what my sleep & eatting patterns were like before my boys.

Have fun with your mom.

Remember our troops this Memorial Weekend.

Great show last night! Babies are cute...in about 10 years I think I will be ready for one though...the whole having a human being inside of me for 9 months creeps me out at the moment. And I think the smell of a newborn is amazing too. They are just little miracles I think. : ) Everyone have a good day!

Hi Ross!! I love love love you!! I don't know my neighbors and I don't think they want to know me. I have lived in my apartment for like four months and they have never talked to me. One of them has an evil look on her face all the time. You are really super lucky to have nice ones. As for babies...I love them!! I don't have any of my own yet, but I will one day!! Probably after I get a husband and stuff. Okay well, I just wanted to tell you how much I love you and the Tonight Show was AWESOME last night!!!!

Hey Ross, have a fun day with your mom!!

Babies are great. I have 3 of them myself, though they aren't babies anymore, lol. My "babies" just turned 9 (boy/girl twins) and my oldest is 10, going on 16!!! They grow up so fast.

I'm a new mommy and it is the BEST!!!! Babies are true miracles, especially when you try and try and try and finally have one, totally amazing!!!!

Ross, you'll be an awesome "neighbor-uncle" to that baby, how lucky will he/she be?!!

You were great last night, you looked so cute!!

I normally don't post comments But I really don't like babies. I think They are kinda like evil they need everything to be done for them and they are always crying and slobbering. I am just kind of passionate about my dis-like for babies that is why I posted my thoughts. And i really don't like the parents of babies either.

Nothing is better than a baby, except having two babies!

They are life's miracles. Their skin is perfection and their smell so sweet.

The best part is shopping for a baby! PURE JOY!!

Enjoy the experience with your neighbor Ross. Wait til you see the mom's belly roll while the baby flips around. And in the early months, offer to take over fruit salad. I never knew a pregnant woman who didn't crave fruit!! I would have been thrilled with someone bringing food to me early in my pregnancy when it took everything for me just to walk past the kitchen, let alone make something to eat!!

hey ana

it's a good thing you don't normally post comments

OK - that was pretty negative. Don't forget YOU were a baby at one time. Sounds like you still may be one. Anyways....

Personally, I don't have any children. They are ALOT of work and sacrifice, maybe someday. I do have neices and nephews that I love to hang around. It's refreshing to see the world through the eyes of a child. When they misuse a word or make up their own words - too funny! Speaking of babies; I'm actully off to a baby shower right now. I have friends that recently adopted. Hope everyone has a great weekend and happy, safe holiday! :)

Take care! :D

My neighbors are ummmm interesting.. YEA! that's it!!! INTERESTING!;)

On one side are the people who raise chickens, shoot off fireworks in the middle of the afternoon for no reason, and follow it with "YEEEEE HAAAAWWWW"

The other side are pretty good, but you can always tell how drunk they are by what kind of music they are blaring. Start off about 5 with Celine or Michael Bolton and by midnight we have moved on to Hank Williams Sr.
(( DOES ANYONE ELSE HEAR BANJOS?))

As far as babies are concerned, being the mommy to two precious children who are no longer here I think babies are the most amazing gift two people can receive. I feel truly blessed to have had the time I had with mine. They are my heroes :)

You were SO fantastic last night! I loved your 'diaper moment' comments! I bet your mom was so proud!

Congrats to your neighbors, too on the new addition.

As for me...I'm not a huge fan of babies. I know, that really gets me a lot of flack. But, I went through a very maternal phase when I was younger - my family had a baby boom, I had a baby sister, 2 neices, and tons of baby cousins that I helped take care of and I think I got my fill. I don't mind older kids because they're not as sticky or goopy and have personalities.

I don't know, my family thinks I'm nuts, but I really would rather baby my pets than have my own kids - maybe it'll change someday, but I do admire those who take the time to be parents!

Babies - what a great topic! How can anyone not love them? I want to have one or two, but have struggled to conceive. So, cross your fingers for me!

BTW, saw you last night. Everyone is right. You looked fabulous! You totally killed, you were hilarious. You've got great expression in your face and eyes. You truly are a person with that "star quality", no matter how many times I check your blog, or see you on TV, I am always left wanting more. So, congratulations, and continued success, Ross! We love you!

Nothing is better than a baby...they are so sweet and innocent and they smell so good. A true miracle of God.

Happy Saturday Peeps!
I had the opportunity of seeing a baby born.Yes G it is a Miracle...Love me some Babies, the older I get the more I appreciate the Miracle of Birth and the development of babies into such great unique individuals!!!
Just look how much Piper has changed in 15 weeks...
A.MAZ.ING!

I have a son who is almost 6 and I keep saying, "This is my favorite age." Like when he started smiling, then walking and talking... I would always say, "This is my favorite age for sure!"

Funny story - new moms, brace yourselves! LOL

Not long ago, my son was in the bathroom and yells, "Mom, will you come in here?" Busy doing something, I replied, "What do you need?" He asked, again, for me to come to the bathroom because he needed to ask me something. Hands wet with soapy dishwater, I said, "Just ask me honey. I'm doing dishes." And he yells this question....

"What are these big things down by my wiener?"

Oh my gosh - I didn't know what to do! I stopped and just silently laughed and said a quick prayer that I would answer in an appropriate way for a 5 1/2 year old!

Those are the things I'll never forget and make all the sleepless nights worth it. Hope I made a few of you smile with that story.

Ross, you did A. MAZ. ING.

Happy Saturday! TiVo is a wonderful thing...I watched your segment from TTS again - absolutely fabulous, you are!! So Babies....I look forward to having at least one some day. I have a very busy career that requires me to move every two years or so and haven't found "the one" just yet. I am 33 and I really hope that time isn't running out for me!?! I do have a precious "dog-ter" Sydney. She is the light of my life! I also have 3 neices right now that I adore and spoil rotten. My brother and his wife are expecting their 3rd child ANY day now!! YEAH Another one to spoil! So that is my take on babies, LOL. Enjoy your time with your mom!!

Much Love
XOXOX

"A baby is God's opinion that the world should go on."

Hi Ross!
Ross, I love you! I swear, I loved you even when you were "porky" as Jay said (by the way I totally disagree with that description of you, you've always been adorable!). Anyway, you were great last night on the show!!! I just watched it, I had my friend TiVo it the night before because I was going to be out. You looked so hot!You were really funny too and I'm so happy for you =)
Ok, so about babies! I loovvee babies now! lol, they are so cute and sweet! I used to not even like children, until my sister had a baby and now I think my niece is a God. lol, really, like I think she's the best thing since sliced bread. Babies are wonderful; you're going to love being the neighbor babysitter/surrogate uncle. Aw, and it's so incredible when they start kicking! It's like an alien is in there, lol... I like jumped back the first time I felt it on my sister. Watching babies grow into toddlers and learn things you take for granted... like seeing their fine motor skills, their language and movements develop--seeing them becoming real little people, is really fascinating =)
Well, Ross, I have to go now, As you once were, I too am a broke college student looking for a summer job. But I had a question first. One day I'm going to be a famous writer/film director, so until then will you be MY best friend!? I really think we'd like each other, I mean, I already know I love you and I'm a picky person when it comes to people sometimes, lol. So then, you can continue the cycle and be my best friend like Gwyneth Paltrow was for you! =)What do you think?

My 2nd grandbaby is to arrive in a few months! We are all very excited. What I love best about babies is their smell.
In honor of the occasion, my prego daughter & I have been designing new baby & maternity novelty items to add to our line ... ready?
A bib that says: "I gave my mommy hemorrhoids" (I had to look up how to spell it LOL) and maternity tops ... "I am not Buddha, do not rub my belly" & One small step for man: one giant leap for my vagina" & "a stitch in time saves nine, a stitch in the perineum sucks"
OMG we're having so much fun with this stuff!

Oh man... I hope at the 3 month mark for your neighbor that she's feeling good. Me - I'm 2 months and laying on my couch hoping I don't have to get up to pee anytime soon for fear of losing my lunch. Ugh - I can't wait until this morning sickness goes away!! This is my first and I'm scared out of my mind, but at the same time really excited, it's crazy.

I second whoever mentioned taking your neighbor fruit!! While your're at it bring me some too! :) You'll have fun with the new little one in the neighborhood. :)

Loved ya last night Ross - you are always a joy to watch. :)

i find that i enjoy babies when they get older. i'm not one of those, i wish they'd stay young. every time i think "this" is my favorite age, something new and interesting comes along. i love watching shmoo progress through life & become a real "person".

and ross, i sent my mom the article on you & louise. she loved that pic of you two. said it was the best she'd seen of you both.

I love your Blog! Just began reading it last week, the highlight of my day! Viva el ROSS

Good Saturday All :O)

Sarah
Yeah. Go Spurs!

Thank you for the Blog Ross.

On the subject of babies. I think we need to have
a standing ovation and round of applause for all the
women who have the babies, and their pregnancys'.

Unfortunately, mine, and many pregnancies start
with a miscarriage. That is truly devestating in itself,
but it is comforting to know "that God didn't want you
to have that baby for some reason," amen.

Next comes the sore knockers, swollen feet, and,
it's time to pull out your tshirt that says "I'm not Fat,
I'm Pregnant". The poor hubbys with our mood swings too.

The trip to the hospital enduring pain like you have never
experienced in your life. Screaming at the doctor to
give you drugs and an epidural, LOL. Laying there
during the height of a contraction and looking at your
husband thinking "you're really enjoying this for all the
times I've nagged you aren't you dear" LOL

And then the moment arrives when you hear the cry,
and if it's a boy, the pee goes shooting, LOL.
You scream for joy and ask hubby when he
wants to have another one. All pain is instantly forgotten.

Children are a Blessing from God.
Children are the hardest job in the world.
Children change you and your life for the better.

Have a great day all!
Heys and Hugs from Canada.

Hey Ross, You were great last night! Just yourself and you looked great too. Babies.....my baby is going to college this fall. It goes fast - try to enjoy every minute!

Ross, I thought u were great on the show last night. In fact the show was really funny. I love it when jay puts his face on other people.
You acted like you had been a guest on talk shows many times.
Sorry i'm not really into babys. I like kids when they are around 4 years old.
Have fun with your MOM..

Happy Saturday All.
caralee

First, I thought you were a super guest on The Tonight Show! You looked really handsome...great wardrobe choice!!

Babies! Nothing better!! I'm a grandmother of 7, and I love 'em!!

Ross,

I first want to say that I absolutely Love You. You are the cutest thing ever. Loved you last night in your suit on Jay Leno.

As for babies...just last night I was complaining to my awesome neighbors about how I am sick of smelling like baby puke everyday, tired of potty training, and sick of all the laundry that I have. Would I change any of it? Absolutely NOT!! It took me 15 years to have my first daughter. She was is my miracle baby. Then this last February I had my second daughter. They are my world and the reason I can't imagine my life without them. Being a mommy is the best feeling in the world. My neighborhood is the best. After I had both of my kids, my neighbors planned to bring meals to our house everyday for 2-4 weeks. It was so great not to have to think of what to make for dinner. It was a surprise everyday.

Anyways, keep up the great work. You look awesome. Have a great day with your mom.

i love babies, but i couldn't eat a whole one. LMAO...sorry, that's just a joke my "busband" (thanks, Ross' best friend Kim for teaching me that word yesterday!) always says about kids or babies when people asks if he likes them. :)

but seriously, the smell of a babies' skin is the sweetest perfume in the world. it smells of innocence, hope, and trust. you could never bottle it, and it's fleeting as they grow up. to smell like poop and grass stains. lol. but i happen to like the smell of grass stains. :0)

it was GREAT to see everyone in chat last night! i LOVE video chat...i don't have to type, and i can make silly faces. yesterday was a great day at the Tonight Show...one that will live in infamy indeed. (especially the Joe impression. i still giggle every time i think about it.)

have a great saturday blog buddies...i'm off to shower because i smell like horses (another great scent, but not one you want to inundate other humans with!!!)

xoxo,
daria

Ross--it doesn't need to be said again but I LOVED YOU as Jay's guest on TTS.

And I have to say, as the mother of a 25 year old son that never wants to do ANYTHING with me, I AM SO JEALOUS of your wonderful relationship with your mother. Mom_Ross, be grateful for your wonderful son, Ross!

OK, I said I was jealous, but not in a bad way. I still love my own son a ton. And I am happy when I see you have a wonderful relationship with your each other.

As the mommy of the Official Ross Blog Baby, I have to say babies are amazing.

Princess Pi is my 4th child but I am still amazed every day by her.

She rocks. She smells wonderful, she has a genuine twinkle in her eye and she is growing too fast.

Hi Daria!!!

Hi Mom!!

Ross, OMG!!! I was like so so star stuck last night in chat, I figured I'd never see you in there, then you popped in and like OMG!!! mouth dropped lol.
And then seeing Daria just WOW!! Your mom is the best, she must be so proud of you...Anyway Babies are BEST!!! and Congrats to your neighbors, would love to adopt one someday, once i find me a good man lol.
And OMG!!! you rocked last night, glad you finally worked your way up to be able to sit in that chair, you worked long and hard, and it payed off big time, so a BIG CONGRATS!!! to you. Take Care Ross, Got much love from the East

Mattnyc

omg last night was so much fun and since we are talking about babies. i can tell you i love babies, i just personally do not want anymore lol. i have 3 wonderful girls ( which you can see lots of pictures of from my studio on my flickr page). In fact ross you said hi to my middle baby last night in chat and she was so thrilled.

babies can be the most wonderful thing and a true miracle to watch them grow and learn everyday. i look at everyone that has babies as being blessed. hugs everyone !

Ross!
Congratulations on the new baby! You will make a Great Uncle.
Hugs,
Teresa :o)

hi ross!

i saw you last night and you did such a great job! You looked fantastic, as usual! i loved your story of how you became part of the tonight show and your use of "diaper moment" lol..that was great!

As for the babies topics...i love babies! they are so cute and we just got news that 5 people in my family are pregnant! that's gonna be a lot of baby showers and also they are all due with 3 months of each other!

Have a great weekend ross!

Ahhh, babies. What a sweet topic! I am a pregnancy/infant massage therapist and a doula and I love, love mamas and babies! I have a massage therapy business for expecting mothers and their families. When they go into labor, I often accompany them to the birth. It is wonderful!

GrammaBurp - Your maternity items are a hoot! What a fun idea.

Missy Gentry - I hope you feel better soon. Have you tried little sips of ginger tea? Sometimes it helps.

Ross - So Cool your neighbors are expecting!

Sending warm wishes to all!

Hey Ross and others! I'm currently doing a medical rotation in a labour and delivery ward and is truly one of the best experiences of my life. Seeing the tiny tiny baby being delivered and then doing all of his/her health checks. They're so vulnerable and innocent. No matter how crappy my day is going in to work, they always make me happy-- how much better can it get!

Hi Ross,
I love babies too. My husband and I never had one though. We Instead adopted a 5 year old. He is now 7 and is the joy of our lives! I sometimes wish i have those baby moments with him, but I wouldnt trade him for a baby ever!
Loved the show, and congrats to your neighbors!

The bad thing about babies is that they grow up.

That sounds funny. I don't mean it the way it sounds.

I love babies. I had the cutest babies! Now they're getting so old (13, 11, 10) and it's so hard to remember them as being babies. Pictures and videos don't do it justice. I miss the feel of them on my chest, the smell of them, the coos, the diapers...

Sigh...

Again, great show last night, Ross! (What did you say to Dennis Miller after his secret sauce comment that had him laughing so hard?!)

Babies huh? My two girls are 31 and 23 years old. I have 3 grandchildren 11, 7, and 4 years old. Yup! I love babies!

You were great last night Ross!

Very Handsome!!
Hugs

Hey Ross!
Excellent guest last night, loooved it!!!
As a mother of 3 ( 16, 13 & 4) here is my thought:
Having children-
It's about finding the rest of your life inside you, to give to someone else.
Love being a Mom!!!!

Having a baby is like having a part of your heart walk outside your body forever...

Congrats to the neighbors on their most blessed event!!! A new baby in the hood...maybe you can get some practice Ross! Love love it!
We should have a Blog Baby Shower for them!
Happy Weekend!

OMG Ross you were amazing last night. Congrats. Babies are wonderful I have one of my own, well not so much a baby now he's 3, but he's still my baby. Congrats to the neighbors. bye

This is my first time commenting - I did watch the show and it was great. I was worried that you were not going to get to talk much, with Dennis Miller sitting next to you - Did you watch he and Jay prior to you coming on? Jay could not get a word in. But it went fine and you looked fabulous.

Babies are amazing...especially if they are your own! The marks left from their grand entrance into the world...not so amazing! But totally worth it!

Ross - you were FAN.TAS.TIC last night. And you looked SMOKIN' HOT HOT HOT!!! Like other bloggers, I wish the segment was longer. You crack me up when you say something funny and then have the "what???" look on your face.

Rachel 307 - I have 3 sons and I am still laughing at your post. I can so identify with that scene. Too funny.

Chipthemedic - what is "facebook" (I know it's probably a stupid question)

Ciaoamica Donna - when did you live in Santa Maria? I went to high school there and still have family there. (Before MJ)

Babies - I love them. Babies give you unconditional love and do not judge.

Barb

Mama's don't let your babies
grow up to be cowboys........LOL

Daria
Hello and LOL @ the busband joke.
I'm gonna have to use that one. I like it. :O)

Annie
Nice Post. It made me smile.
I'm glad that Princess Pi is Our Blog Baby.

Ross and Mom_ross :O). Together again. xo

LMAO @daria. love the joke about love babies, but couldn't eat a whole one. and the horse thing...gets me off on another tangent....smells.

my favorite smells are...
babies
puppy breath
horses (really! i love just hanging out all day in a horse barn! the sounds, the smells)
fresh cut grass
the midway at the carnival (corn dogs, popcorn, cotton candy)
the beach
johnson's baby lotion

anybody else?

Firstly, you were great last night. Very entertaining.

Babies... Love them. Always wanted kids, don't have any. Next best thing... I'm a nanny.

Barb - facebook is a networking site similar to Myspace. When it first started (when I joined), it was just a networking site for college students. They expanded it to high schools and the workplace, and I even think you can now join without a network at www.facebook.com

Chip - I do have the facebook itch, but it's kind of faded (much like myspace, lol). I love that out of my group of friends, I was the first to join and they all said it was lame. But, four years later and they all have facebook! I said the same thing about gmail and they all have it now, too. I guess I'm a trendsetter of sorts.

Rachel307, I think that is right! Anyway, I loved, loved your sons questions. My youngest son got to take a shower with my husband once and he wanted to know if he could use his Daddy's for punching bags. I have never told Steven this, but I will someday... when the time is right! :evil smile:

Ross you were GREAT last night!!!!!

Babies, I have 3 of them!!! Welll, they are growing up fast, but they will always be my babies. There is something amazing about every stage. It is amazing watching them grow into their own little self.

Congrats, you were great last night. Your neighbors are lucky to have you as a neighbor and friend.

cpgem8~ If you ever want to play auntie you are welcome to share my children. They would love to get some attention, since we have no sisters, our brothers are non-existant in their life and grandparents only send a card on holidays.

Mommy, How are we related to cpgem8 again?

By internet sweeteart!

This is my first post but i'm a long time reader and fan!

All i wanted to say was CONGRATES UNCLE ROSS! I bet you are the best neighbor.

Goll Darnit!!!!!!! I missed you last night!!!! AHHHH Is there anyway to view your segment??? I'm so bummed!!!!

ok guys

rosie just posted
a vblog on her site

titled
"no ja - hero"

lets watch it!!!

Babies are awesome as long as you can give them back when they need a change or are cranky :) My hubby and I chose to be a childfree house and then my health made it permanent because I had to at age 29 have a hysterectomy.

We have 3 beautiful nieces that we are always doting over. We go see my sister and her kids at least once a month in GA. One is 5 and the youngest just turned 1. The other we see about once a year as she is in the St. Louis area.

I love kids but we both knew we would be better aunts and uncles than parents.

I had an awe moment just before I read your entry actually. I was outside with my dog Honey to get the mail. While going down the driveway the neighbor across the streets 2 year old sees Honey and comes out into the road to see her. So I told Honey to very slowly come down and not scare the kid. She came down and sat and let not only the boy but a girl about the same age pet her. When she tried to lick them which she does when she is excited I blocked her face from going that way to be thoughtful of the kids. She woulda knocked them over had I let her be normal :) It was so cuuuute!

I loved you on last night! Dennis miller took advantage of the bar behind set didn't he? I think you were on an adrenyline rush when you went out there. Either that or you had a lot of coffee ;)

Congrats on making it! I keep having Mary Tyler Moore's "you're gonna make it after all" going through my head but you spinning instead of her :) peave and love

Hi Ross!
You were awesome last night! I taped it and watched it again! You looked so nice in your suit, just in case you didn't already know.

Babies are great. I don't have any, but my boss just had her first a few months ago. She brings her in once in a while and she is just amazing.

I'm new to this whole "blog" thing, but it is great. I hope you keep doing it for a long time.

Take care,

Daniel I just read your joke from the 24th because I was staying near the Harvard campus.

I did laugh, it was very funny.

Babies are magic, they are the best part of life.
The most amazing thing in the world is having a brand new person pop out of your crotch.

Hello there Ross..you did a great job last night...

Medhh..lol on the pop out of ur crotch..if only it was that easy..pop goes the baby

anyway I have 2 little ones..my son is 5 and my daughter is 1 1/2..I would love to have more but I had 3 miscarrages and premature labor with my children so I think 2 is enough. I love babies and my fave thing about them is there smell..like right after a bath..and they will snuggle..when the get older they also get stronger and can get away from you easier..lol..have a great night bloggers!

Great job last night!I was so excited for you!Hope you have a fun time with your mother and friends!!!It's great fun to watch someone realize one of their dreams right before your eyes!Especially if they are as deserving as you.Take care.

I went and looked at the video. Janette isn't gone just in the time out corner for the mustache incident. Poor woman did it to a magazine cut out and got caught and was crying as booted out.

Go see the video. very good.

Ross, are you still going to do 6/5? If I were you I wouldn't. From the sounds of it Rosie was set up starting with Monday's incident.

Oh, and the Monday show which will have rosie in it is a pretaped show from weeks ago for Elizabeths b-day.

The dressing rooms etc. have been cleared she will not return period. Tuesday's show should be interesting.

Melissa - thanks for the info. I'm pretty computer challenged so I haven't attempted to create a "my space" page.

cpgem8 - Thanks for letting us know about Rosie's vblog. That was kinda hard to watch but I'm glad that Rosie is doing OK (it seems anyway). She does look sad though. My heart aches for her.

Barb

You were fabulous on the show last night (I was really annoyed at how long Dennis Miller's interview was...it just dragged on and on and on...). :D Chat was insanely fun too (even if it was super laggy and lots of goup bootings).

Babies...
I rather love it when they start talking. Half the time it's this insane babble that only they understand..SO fun. My little cousin is about 3-ish now, and although she's in toddlerhood, she's the baby of the family. So cute. Anyways, she mostly speaks this weird made-up language and goes on and on and on with it. Her older sister might be the only one who really understands her.

Hi RoRo! (Can I call you that?)
You were AWESOME last night on the Tonight Show!!! So, all evening I was looking forward to watching you, and you have to know that I always am asleep by 10:30 or 11:00 and Jay comes on at 11:35 here. So I took the tv in my bedroom and I kept dozing off during the whole interview with Dennis Miller. But my subconcious kept pulling me to stay awake and Voila! sometime around 12:20 you were there. You did an awesome job and you confirmed once again my knowledge of the fact that if we knew each other personally, we'd be like totally best friends. I want you to know that I am from Washington (graduated from Olympia High School, went to WSU and now live in Spokane, teach at a University here!) One of my best lifelong friends is from Mt. Vernon. You don't know Kevin Crawford, do you? Well anyway...I've joined the chat in hopes of finding you there one day. I love watching you on the blog and on Tonight Show segments. If my son and I take a road trip to California this summer, would you go to lunch with us?
Love you, Ross (RoRo)! You are just a wonderful person!
Jojo
p.s. when I go to the chat my name is jojoss ;-)

Babies are the most wonderful gift from God any creature could receive. I have two children 3 years and one that is 10 months today. Congrats to your neighbors. If you are scared of smothering; don't worry just offer to babysit and they will want to have BBQ's and Drinks with you all the time. Much love and you did wonderful on the show. Tell Mom and friends Hi.

ITB

Oh, I forgot to give my thoughts on babies. The most wonderful thing God ever granted me in life was to become a mother. I wish I could have had a dozen children. God blessed me with one AWESOME son. He'll be 15 soon. (I'm already having pre-empty nest syndrome. It sucks!)
I love to see how close and loving you are with your mom. You're a great son, Ross!

Hey Ross! Just wanted to say once again. WOW! You were outstanding last night on TTS.

As for babies…they are a gift from god! In the circle life as we get married and have children they have a way of making your life complete! I often wonder what I did before giving birth to my son Anthony A.K.A. “Scrappy”

Babies come into to this world innocent and helpless. Like a piece of clay, they are molded into beautiful people, who will grow up to make the world a better place!

I took scrappy to the local Memorial Day fair today, as I watched him ride the ride I remembered the first time I took him. He was a tiny little infant weighing a mere 10 pounds. 10 years later I stand watching my miracle running from ride to ride eyes wild with excitement!! As I sat and watched him riding, I marveled at how far my miracle from god has come, growing into a magnificent young man, full of hope and promise.

when and where can we rewatch the tonite show episode with you Ross?

It's not on youtube wtheck!!

Great Job by the way!!!
Rene!!

You were amazing on TTS last night Ross, so so so funny!

I love babies, their belly laughs are the best. My husband and I are trying to start a family soon.

You will be a great dad!

I love babies wish I can have one myself...trying to have one but no luck :( maybe Ill be preggers by my b day on June 18th??? who knows. But the process has been fun hheheeheheee. Going to the Cherokee NC in 2 weeks going to Harrahs casino hopefully to come back a millionare then I can quit my job wipe my ass with $100 dollars bills LMAO and go muahhhh hahhahaha muahhh ahha im filthy rich...ok back to reality. Babies are nice except for the lack of sleep and poop but the goo goo ga gas make up for it ahhhhh cant wait for my own. See you all later this week in chat and ill make sure ill stay longer than ususal lol.

I like babies from 6 months onward. The younger ones aren't nearly so much fun (outwardly anyway, I'm sure their little brains and bodies are too busy building themselves). My 4-month-old niece is okay, though. She rolls over and repeats words/sounds she hears from the grownups hovering over her crib.

Babies were never the reason I don't have children, teenagers are. :)

VARIOUS...

Ross on TTS - fantastic! My only complaint was that Dennis Miller took up so much time.. your interview should have been longer! Great suit by the way, you looked very sharp!

Babies - I've got a new baby in the family, actually its the first baby of the family. The cutest little girl named Molly. I'm lucky enjoy to be not only her uncle, but also her godfather. I couldn't love her anymore if she was my own!

Bloggers Git Fit - Thank God! Even with eating birthday cake (two big slices!) I was able to drop 2 more pounds. I guess the extra exercise did the trick!

Happy rest of the long weekend blog buddies! :)

Ross, dear, we saw you on Leno and I said, that boy will have his own television talk show before you know it. Best to Louise.

Speaking of piaper moments, Babies are messy.

hey everyone...babies are messy

I never felt that burning desire to have children that alot of people speak about. But then my sister gave birth to her first child, my nephew Jake. I had never known love like that before. It was very different, caught me completely off guard and for awhile there, I did think about having one of my own. I never did and although I’m sure that it was the right decision, I still feel fortunate to have felt the depth of love a child can bring.

As for Tuesday’s View being very interesting, I predict just the opposite. I’m thinking it will be very ho hum, with Barbara sprinting through the uncomfortable stuff in route to the non-controversial dribble. That’s just her way. Regardless of what you think about Rosie, I think the post-Rosie era will make watching the grass grow seem exciting.

I did not win the neighbor lottery... Let's just say. Can you say "criminal"???
Anyway, my friend just adopted a baby from Russia & OMG she is precious. By the way ross, you were faboo last night!!! Great Job!!!

Babies are awesome! We have no grandchildren but a friend has 11month old twins... boy/girl. Hubby and I have been keeping them overnight at least once a week since they were only 3 weeks old. They change daily..and the love only grows deeper.

Loved your Tonight Show appearance! I was so excited for you.

Watched TTS last night in chat for east coast feed, then watched it over and over on TIVO today - gotta love DVRs! Ross, you bring stars to my eyes when you come to chat and I make a fool of myself hoping you'll talk to ME. And when you do I have my own diaper moment. Gosh, I embarrass myself! Thank goodness for NASA diapers (and Scrappysmom, too.)

I've had my sweet baby and grandbabies. I think mostly everyone expressed my sentiments on them in their posts. But my goddaughter? Oh, her parents tried so hard to have her - the whole infertility route with the very miracle ending, and I was terrified to hold her when she was born! I do believe all babies are miracles, but Miracle Jacklyn scared the bejeezus out of me. Thought I'd break her or something. Weird reaction with all the babies I have been blessed to be around. The grandkids are great. You get all the adulation and the fun of spoiling them and then give 'em back to Mommy and Daddy. Good Stuff!

Happy Weekend, Blog Buddies :)

Babies, hmmm...I know I will gush. Sorry in advance.

I am one of those people that has always loved children, but I just never "got it", about how different it would be to have my own.

I am a teacher, and I have been a professional Nanny for over 11 years of my life, so I am around babies and children all the time. But I still didn't GET IT!

I had my son when I was just about to turn 39. It has been so life changing. He is 3 1/2 and just the most wonderful little guy. He makes me want to learn more, take better care of myself and the planet, and just be a better person. I finally get it, and I am so happy that he is in my life.

It took my DH and I a long time to concieve. We decided against any medical intervention, and were all set to be childless. But then I got PG. I found out on Valentine's Day 2003, the same day we went to my husbands Grandmother's funeral. Talk about the circle of life!
Well then I ended up having every complication in the book, through out the whole pregnancy. I also had congestive heart failure a couple days after Orion was born, and really thought I would die. So he actually came home without me for a week, while I was in the ICU. It was very scary, but I would do it all again in a heart beat.

There...did I gush enough? :)

BTW, they don't stay "babies" very long. Everyone told me that, and they are so right. I can barely remember the midnight feedings and all the rocking and it was only 3 years ago.

=^..^=

Very moving, touching story, itsme_cat. I'm so glad you are fine, and you have such a wonderful son. Children do help us put the right perspective on what is and what is not important, don't they? May God bless you and your wonderful family. :)

BTW, I have a question to ask and I haven't read all the posts, but for those of you who TIVO or taped last night's TTS, is that Ross's mom going to sit down in the second row after Jay greets everyone standing in the front before the show begins? I'm not sure, and I was just wondering...

Ahhh Babies....*sigh*.

This seems to be a topic I can not escape, nor do I ever want to. I have had 'baby fever' for I can't even tell you how long now....but I will say this, right now my biological clock is GONGING!

My hubby and I have been actively trying to get pregnant for a year and a half now. Unfortunately, each month comes and goes with disappointment, but we still strive forward. We haven't been to a specialist yet, but I think that is our next step. Our parents are sooo ready to be Grandparents and it seems that every conversation starts with, "Where are my Grandkids??".....All I can reply with is, "We're trying."

What I don't get is why it is so hard to get preggars. When we enter our own single 'sexual age' we try our damnedest (is that a word? lol) not to get pregnant and pray each month to be free and clear. We say to ourselves, "Whew! That was close!" and so on if we have a 'scare' of being late. So for approx. 15 years, I have been trying to NOT get pregnant, and now when I want to, I can't seem to get it right! What's up with that???

Today, I got a card in the mail and guess what it was??.....An invite for a baby shower for my 18 year old cousin!...How is this fair? She just graduated high school last year and now she is pregnant. Don't get me wrong, I am very happy for her, but being that I am 33 and married and she is 18 and single, shouldn't I be the one sending out the announcements? I changed HER diapers for heaven's sake! OY!

Sorry for my rambling, but this is a very sensative subject. I have always wanted more than anything to be a wife and a mom. I accomplished the first half of my dream but the second part seems to be so far away. I hear all the time, "Oh, You are still young. You have your whole life ahead of you." Well, Dammit! I am 33 and my hubby is 37. We are not getting any younger. I don't want to be entering retirement when I have to send my kids off to college, do you know what I mean? I don't want us to be the "old parents". *sigh*

I pray everyday for a miracle.
What joy a baby would bring to my hubby and I....to our parents who are dying to spoil their grandchildren. I can almost see it now... just up ahead...just around the corner...almost in my grasp.

Babies are amazing. I'm a Mother of 3, my oldest will be 7 years old in just a few weeks (I had him young, I just turned 25) my second is 2 and the baby is 6 months. I think the only thing I can say about them is to cherish every second, they grow SOOOOOOOO fast. I hate having a messy house but when they're babies I look at it like this....the dishes will be there in an hour when they nap, the laundry will too, so I can either say that even when my children were babies I had the cleanest house around...or I can say I watched my children grow every second of every day...dishes and laundry will wait...babies won't.
I would have 3 more if I could, being diabetic though I don't think my kidneys would like me anymore if I did.
CONGRATS on the show...I was dog tired but I stayed up a little longer just to watch you. You could tell you were just sooooooooo excited and you did a great job. LOVE YOU LOVE YOU LOVE YOU
and congrats to your neighbors...now get off the computer and visit with your Mommy.

KFC ~ Pi is pretty cool. I would love for you to "meet" her someday. :)

Spring Fever is definitely here. Everyone I freakin know is having a baby. I have one son, but hardly a baby anymore. I love watching the amazing baby videos on You Tube. Espcially, dancing and laughing babies. Too, cute.
Great job w/Leno. I really enjoy your blog. You always make me smile. You have an amazing personality. Love you!

I had 2 sons. Loved being a Mom. They are grown now and have their own children. Grandchildren are soooooo much easier!! My one pet peeve on very young children (parents) is when I am on vacation. There is something not right about seeing a young child being pushed in a stroller in 100' weather or in a noisy smokey Casino in Las Vegas. What possible fun could they be having? Parents, what are you thinking?

My mother would never let me touch or hold a baby when I was younger. She was afraid I would spread germs or drop it and break it, so I had never had ANY experience with newborns when I brought my daughter home. Being a mommy is difficult enough without any previous practice.

I went to a wedding today for my nephew. It doesn't seem possible that he is grown up and married off. There were "Baby" pictures of him that reminded me of how much time has passed. My 2 and a half year old great-niece was the flower girl. She was so precious in her sparkly white gown. I told her she looked like Cinderella. She paused as she came down the aisle and did a little spin so the other guests could admire her gown. It was a cute and proud moment for everyone.

Babies grow up too soon. The big sister of the flower girl was a junior bridesmaid. She look so grown up standing there on the platform with the other bridesmaids. It seems like only yesterday SHE was the flower girl. Those of you with toddlers and elementary aged children, remember these are the good days. You live through each day and before you know it, your "baby" is all grown up.

Thank you rhondahonda, how nice of you!

BTW I forgot to mention. I am quite sure that I concieved my son on Feb. 1st 2003. We found out two weeks later, via Clear Blue Easy.

How do I know it was that day??? Because it was my 38th birthday and I know that we did the deed.
What a gift. :D :D :D

DIVA,
I know how you are feeling, and I really hope it happens for you soon. I was starting to save my money for adoption when we got PG. I don't know why it finally clicked, it just did and we were trying on and off(mostly on) for about 6 years, and really trying hard the last two years.

And, boy oh boy do I know about nieces having babies before me. My niece had her first in H.S. and already had 3 before I even got married!

Good luck to you and your hubby. ****Baby Dust**** and prayers on the way.

You were so funny lastnight. It's been a while since I've fallen out of my couch laughing. I think I had a diaper moment. Don't worry. You will definitely have an awesome talk show in the future. Your time will come. For now, just absorb as much of anything in any subject as possible. Then you can draw on your past experiences for a funnier future.

Anyway, babies? I'm sorry to say I do not have any nor do I have any baby relatives or neighbors. I do love to hold them every chance I get though.

TY Cat :o)

Hi Ross,

I love you much..and you were great on Jay lastnight...
well i love babies since im a nanny..im going to be 21 and i have been a nanny /babysitter since i was 11 its who i am..kids are our future and i am blessed to be helping them grow and show them all that i can.....take care..

your fan,
Ruth

Word of advice for your neighbors upfront.... SLEEP now because that's all about to end! LOL We adopted a baby girl last year and she's turning one on the 31st and we're still exhausted. It does get easier though.

Ross you totally need to go take some baby care classes and then you can babysit for your neighbors so they can nap. I've got tons of ideas for baby shower gifts for you so email me if you need some ideas. Oh and you might recommend one of the Dr. Sears baby care books for them. Good to read now when you're not overwhelmed.

I love being a mom and every day it gets even more rewarding!

Love ya!
Julia

p.s. I just heard Rosie is not going to finish her time at The View!!!! Are you going to boycott the show? I'd love it if not one more celeb would book with them.

Ross, you were awesome last night. You make me smile, and I thank you for that because smiles haven't been as frequent for me recently. You always make me smile and laugh.

Babies are adorable. I don't have any, and I don't plan on having any in the near future. I do have a niece and a nephew, though, and they're adorable. Too bad their mother is a coldheart who doesn't teach them to love or be loved. It's sad.

Oh well, have a great sunday everyone. :o)

Annie
Thank you. I would love to meet Piper,
and you too. Hugs to you and our Blog Princess.

rhondahonda
Hey You. :O) I thought that was Mom_ross too.

SeattleShue
What a beautifully honest and non-selfish post. :O)

DIVA
Take the pressure off you and hub hon. :O)
Just get pissed and "Party Naked". Don't plan. xo

Hope everyone's having a great night!

Love you guys, DIVA and Gem8 and G and itsme_cat! Poignant stories from you all!

Marr: You too! Nice post!

Does anyone else have a complete phobia of holding babies? Well, I do.. I don't know if it is an actual phobia or not--but I'm terrified of babies and especially holding them. I guess when I'm a father I'll get over it.. but ECK!

SO.....you pour your heart out writing the Pulitzer Prize winning comment-hit post-and get
"COMMENT TRANSCRIBE ERROR!"
?????????????????????????
Oy the pain.....the indignation of it all......

OK I'm over it :)

But I'm not going to try to 'redo'it all again, just in case some airwaves genie coughs it back out again.

Later blog buddies......

As usual with a Rossland topic, what seems straightforward... babies... is revealed, from all your posts, to be both complex and compelling. Seems like there are several categories of us humans...

Those who have tried to have children, but it didn't work and they aren't trying now;

Those who are currently trying;

Those who have never tried and never will;

Those who don't have children now, but intend to do so in the future;

and finally, those who already have them!

All of your stories are interesting! Thanks for sharing them and helping better define the human condition!

"IF YOU ARE IN HERE BY HACKING GO AHEAD I DARE YOU TO GO FURTHER

This is bikini and speedo weekend, how does yours fit?

I couldn't get mine past my knees and the top looks more like a couple of band aids.

I did well with eating and exercise, but I can tell I didn't loose anything so I am not getting on the scale.

you can send me your progress/regress to:

Git_Fitters@gmail.com

you can also post here if you like; I check often and ad to the data base.

Babies?

One is a blessing, two is a hnadful.

See, I can't even spell handful correctly and the one "baby" I've got isn't even home.

ok guys, don't kill me, but i made this recipe this weekend. since i used the fat-free cool-whip, can we pretend it's MODERATELY healthy? LOL it says refrigerate for 2hrs. trust me, overnight is best. by the way, this recipe was featured on "the view" friday. (the pre-taped memorial day show)i only made a small portion of it, otherwise, i WOULD eat the whole thing! (1 apple, 1 smaller snickers bar, etc.)

Sinfully Silly Snickers Apple Fruit Salad

Ingredients:
6 green apples – peeled and chopped
6 king size Snicker bars – frozen and then chopped up.
1 12 oz. container whipped cream

Directions:
Start with a big bowl so you have room to mix! Make sure you remove all the seeds from the apples when you chop them up. Place them in the bowl first. Next, add the Snickers bars … it's hard to just drop them in the bowl … Stir in the whipped cream and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. You can throw in a few maraschino cherries for color.

daniel, just read your comment. YES! when i was pregnant, everybody wanted me to hold their baby. practice run, i guess! but never having been around babies that much, i was TERRIFIED! i made all sorts of excuses not to do it. but once i had my own, it was the easiest thing i'd ever done. don't worry.

I enjoyed my time last night with all you on the Ross Chat. I wish I could have stayed longer, but sleep was calling and I am in the Central Time Zone. I was so excited that Ross and his Momma showed up for a bit. It was like, this is real... I am not seeing him on TV. He is on my computer!!!

Oh Ross, I asked in Captain Answer about using my chat name as my name here and what you thought I should do, but last night after seeing so many people with their chat names as their comment names I figured it was ok to do so. I wish you could have stayed longer. I think you sound sweet when you sing. :)

funny I had a dream about a baby last night, it and I were in a dept store and it was half naked so I let it pick out a blanket, of course it wanted the expensive one, and on it went, anyway by the time we went to the register the baby got through the line free

I end up with this baby in the back seat laying there sleeping and I am driving in the city of Concord Calif.

I see a cop and think I am going to get ticketed for seatbelt law, I think hmmmm why not at least try and see if the belt fits, and it did,

then I woke up to "you've got friend" on my cell phone... how
now watch i do not get foaded and u all have to read this LOL

I have a 18 year old daughter, 6 year old son and 4 yes i said 4 (QUADS) 3 years old. Needless to say I love kids. They are all boys. I am trying fertility treatments one more time in Jan. We are hoping for twin girls then we are DONE! Cant fit any more in the Van-BUS! ha

Good morning, Blog Buddies!

I hope everyone has a grest day! I'm off to watch CFC at 11am, so I'll be back later.

Karen from Canada: I've watched TTS a few times. This lady kinda looks like Ross's mom to me. Of course, I'm old and can't see so well. Maybe some of the other bloggers can let me know if they think this person is her or not. :) Have a super day, sisterfriend, and I'll talk with ya later! :) :)

My brother & sis-in-law just had a baby & he's adorable, of course! I love all my nieces & nephs. :)
Keep up the good work on the show, and w/ being a good neighbor yourself!
love ya!

I love babies, but hubby and I don't want children. We have a niece and a nephew, and several of our friends have children, and of course there's my boss' daughter who has "worked" with me since she was 4 days old (and she'll be 3 in June), and of course Princess Pi, but those are the exceptions...we tend not to like children much. So we made the decision (much to the disbelief and disdain of friends and family) not to have children. You'd think we were monsters or something! The only regret or guilt I ever feel about our decision is when I hear stories like Diva's...I know there are thousands of women out there who are desperate for children, and I am someone who perhaps could have one but isn't.

Rossalicious, I love, love, loved you on TTS Friday. You were so natural!!! GREAT JOB!!! You had the whole "anecdotal" aspect of being a TTS guest down pat! And you looked HAWT!!!

Hope you all have a fantastic weekend!!! I'm off to fish (and hopefully not repeat what happened this time last year...hook, back of head, oy.)

BAAAAAAABIES!!!! What a wonderful topic.

I love children. I currently don't have any, but my partner and I plan to have kids one day. Seeing as we're both men, it will definitely be a challenge, considering we want biological children. So many questions go through my mind...should we adopt? Should we get a friend to have our baby? A surrogate? So many questions...but it'll be many more years before we start the process. We need to get married first! ;) Which will happen this fall! :)

SO yeah! Babies! Gorgeous. My cousin just had one in May and another cousin is having one in October.

And on a completely unrelated note, why does Roland manage to weasel his way into every comment section??? Go away.

Luv u Ross!

Steve

I did see you on Friday night! It was great!

BABIES--- I love babies.. always wanted them... but it didn't turn out as planned. I got pregnant with twins... and due to complications had them a tjust 24 weeks pregnant. They both weighed a little over a pound and we lost one of them at 12 days old. Our surviving twin is happy healthy and almost 3 now!

Sammie - Being the mommy to two angel babies, one of which was born at 24 weeks and only lived 12 days, I LOVE your webpage. Even though my little boy would be 6 in October and my little girl would be 4 in November it is still nice to know that I'm not alone.

My future-sister-in-law graduated from high school yesterday. At her party, everyone kept handing me babies. At one point, my father-in-law-to-be looked at me and stated that it was only a few years until I'd have one of my own! Yeah. SCARY!!!!!

I love babies...I love kids...

I seem to be a baby magnet, I am suprised that I have not gotten pregnant simply through Osmosis!!!
Just yesturday this baby was obsessed with me and kept smiling haha

Daniel I am the opposite of scared to hold a baby I am scared to ask the mom if I can hold the baby cause she might be scared to hand him over

Good morning!

OK, here's a little adult humor to start your Sunday. I'm sure most of us can relate to this and have had this happen a time or 2!

Please don't click if your kids are near or you don't like adult humor.

WHAB I thought of you when I saw this haha!! :)

Babies: I was a nurse in the neonatal ICU for many many years. I took care of little tiny premies, plus did neonatal transport. I LOVE BABIES!

Watching the tiny ones fight to survive is AMAZING. They may go through more in their time in the hospital than most of us in a lifetime.

I used to go to high risk deliveries and all c-sections, I cried every time because birth is a miracle.

I could go on and on and on, this is a topic near and dear to my heart.

Auntie Em, I'm still in the Antioch area.

Seasidelady, hi and we should meet one of these days!

Ross you were magnificent on TTS Friday. I think you should have come on before Dennis Miller. 'Nuff said about him already.

Hope everyone has a safe, fun Memorial Day, please remember those serving our country, and those who have given the ultimate sacrifice. Peace.

TY, KFC! I got FOADed all day yesterday. It's so weird... I never get FOADed when I post from Mountain View (home or at work), but down here in Palm Springs, the system seems to have a strict quota going... it lets me post early, but not often!

We had a great bar-b-que last night and yes, ate out on our patio. Totally fun!

But back on topic:

Trish: My sister and bro-in-law elected not to have kids too. Since I don't have any, we've had several conversations over the years about the issue (or lack thereof... LOL!). Every time, the big concern that crops up is what happens when we get old. We see firsthand what support aging parents get (and need) from their children, and wonder: Where is our support going to come from? Yikes!

Hy: IDIC! (Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations). And welcome back from your trip!

Mikey: Hope you are putting the "treat" in retreat!

Ross and Mom: What mischief are you two getting into today?

East Bay: OMG! We just laughed hysterically through the whole thing!

And... here's a Lazy Sunday Link that might amuse everybody...

Back_Atcha_East_Bay!

Have a great day!

Happy Sunday Blog Buddies! Tonight, I am going to see Gwen Stefani in concert with my BFF, Patty. We really need some BFF time because we don't see eachother often. Maybe, I will bring her into the chat tonight on video...depending on how much wine we drink hehe. Well, I am off to continue tidying up.....She'll be here in about 2 hours! WOOHOO!

Have a fabulous day Blog Buddies!

EastBay J: Fricken Hilarious!
Thanks for the *giggle*!

I used to believe in UFO's thanks to that show Unsloved Mysteries with Robert Stack. they used to always have episodes about that and aliens and I would get so scared to go to the bathroom at night cause I would think that one is under my bed and if I get up they will grab me and take me and do medical crap on me. I have to say im glad im over that now. But living by a airforce base you see wierd things here and there so guess Ill believe it when I see it.

Are your neighbors named Nicole and Sean?

Love yah!

I love your excitement with regards to your neighbor having a baby and I wanted to give you kuddo's for the comment you had previously made in Capt. Answer that you said you would adopt one day! I love that idea and my hats are off to you for thinking along those lines. Hope those dreams come true for you one day!
