TGIF, blog buddies!!!

As I type this, people are watching me. Seriously. I'm being watched. I'll explain more in a bit, but first...

It's official. I love Maureen McCormick. Love love her. Like, in love with her.

I was her team captain on Celebrity Fit Club and she supported me in every way, even calling me in the mornings to discuss our breakfast choices and when or if we were separately going to the gym that day.

Maureen is, of course, iconic. But I never really watched The Brady Brunch growing up, so I knew her much better as "my friend Mo" rather than"Marcia Marcia Marcia."

Lately Mo's been doing a lot of press for the upcoming premiere of Celebrity Fit Club (April 22nd). It seems you can't turn on anything without seeing her beautiful face.

Well, she called me on Wednesday morning as I was walking my paw-fect little dog-ter, Louise, and said, "Ro! I'm on a plane to New York to do Good Morning America and Larry King Live!"

"No way! Will you please say hi to me on Larry King?"

"Of course!"

"Oh my God, fun! I'll tell my blog buddies to watch!"

"Okay, love you!"

"Love you more!"

"Uh uh."

"Okay, love you equal."

We end our conversations the same way every time.

Well, I missed her on Good Morning America yesterday, but caught the interview online later in the day. I couldn't believe it - there was my good friend Mo, but there was more. She was also MAUREEN McCORMICK, MARSHA BRADY. She was an icon. A star.

I suddenly got kinda nervous. I thought to myself, "Oh my God, you call her at home. You talk to her like she's just anybody else. You joke around with her. You swear in front of her. And, h my God, she's a star."

I kinda got totally weirded out.

And then I watched her on Larry King (guest-hosted by Dr. Phil) and the VERY first thing she said when he introduced her was... well, it went like this:

Dr. Phil: Please welcome Maureen McCormick.

Mo: Hi, Dr. Phil. Let me first say that my daughter says hi and I need to say hi to my good friend Ro!

Cut to me screaming on my couch. Maureen McCormick just said hi to me. Marsha Brady said hi to me. My friend Mo said hi to me. Suddenly I wasn't nervous anymore.

Maureen is a star and an icon, but she's also my friend.

She called me when she finished the live interview with Dr. Phil.

"Did you watch?!?"

"I did, Mo! Thank you so so much! I'm so proud of you - you did a great job."

"Thank you! I love you."

"I love you more!"

"Uh uh."

"Love you equal, then."

In other news...

Why am I being watched?!? Because we had our very first live chat session today in the new CHAT ROOM!

Did you get a chance to drop in to our CHAT ROOM to watch me write today's blog entry LIVE?!? It was so much fun! At one point I think there were almost 40 people in there chatting with me and keeping me company as I did my daily routine of writing the RossBlog.

And, finally, it's my best friend Kim's boyfriend's birthday today!!! He doens't want his name or picture on the RossBlog for reasons I'll never understand (I think he just likes being a jerk), so around these parts we call him "Dietrich Underpants" (he chose the name).

We're going to drinks and dinner tonight to celebrate. Everyone say, "Happy birthday, Dietrich Underpants!"

Today was a fun fun day!
Tried chat for first time and Ross was there.. live as Clark Kent... and live as SuperRoss! We also saw Daria... who danced/jigged... lol...and we all had a gr8 laugh about stix and pix and chix and ... LOL.... lix... there.. said it!

But alas, I missed Mo on Larry King. By the time my brain kicked in, the dancers were on. To say I was bummed is an understatement....

I missed my luncheon I was supposed to go to today....fell asleep reading on the couch. And now I find out that I missed an online live chat thingy today. I did my son's taxes online today and discovered he owes $224 and the paperboy (actually a man but I digress) threw the paper so hard at my door I nearly had a heart attack!! (sob, sob, sniffle) Today is not turning out to be a very good day..... I think I need chocolate!

Hey Ross that's so cute about you and "Mo" I know what you mean about it being kinda weird knowing someone famous. I have quite a few celebrity friends and it's weird when we go out and we have to hide thru different entrances from bars or restaurants all the autograph seekers and fans pushing and shoving, when I sit back and see these famous people in action ie: (their jobs) it makes me laugh because they are just my peeps. We hang out all the time we burp we fart we swear we get drunk we laugh then I see them on magazine covers or in movies and I'm like WOW those are my friends. Have a great Weekend everyone. It was interesting to me hearing about Maureen's life after The Brady Bunch. I lost my Mother to cancer also, and can relate to her loss. Can't wait for CFC! It might even motivate me to get back into shape.
Saw Blades of Glory today. It was so silly, but I laughed and had a good time. I don't go to the movies to get depressed, or stressed out.
So, if you all want a feel good movie, I reccommend it.

Hey y'all, it was so nice to be in chat briefly this afternoon. Ross, I had you docked and I was surprised to hear myself laughing because I don't have a webcam. I'll get one someday after my room gets remodeled. The estate house we live in in Oklahoma has nothing but wood-paneled walls all over the house.....ewwwwwwww, not aesthetically pleasing for this FH!! I have my remodeling stuff collected and want white walls with aqua blue stripes. I've also gotten some mirrors from IKEA to put up on the walls. Hopefully, we'll be able to start on it this summer.

I'm sorry I didn't make it into chat this evening. My neighbors were having a fundraiser thrown in their honor to help offset the hospital & medical expenses incurred after my neighbor's hubby was diagnosed with cancer. My mom & I made sweet potato pies to be auctioned off. Also, the "menfolk" in our community (including Papa Jack) are going to my neighbors' house tomorrow to build a proper porch with a wheelchair ramp. My neighbors got a new maufactured house (a/k/a a "double-wide") and had a terrible time trying to access the house with the porch they currently have. The steps leading to the back door of the house are no better. People are donating their time, supplies & labor to get this project done for such an honorable man. My mom and I are making fried apple pies (from scratch) for the workers. This is one positive thing I can think of about living in a small-town.

glad you got your luggage again whabby. u'r going to have to tie your luggage to some part of your body or either wear all the clothes you are needing to bring with u on you at the time u go on th plane, u might be a bit warm but at least you will have all your clothes and they wont be lost. rofl

OMG... was watching GMA this morning.. and they had a segment about the criminality and waywardness of childhood stars due to the recent troubles of Brian Bonsall. Can you believe they had a picture of MO from her Marcia days surrounded by all these poor kid stars that had gone astray? OMG.. how wrong and bizarre!!

They ended the segment by boasting Drew Barrymore (who I adore for being so sassy!) and Danny Bonaduce as success story role models. Danny Bonaduce? Really? A role model after less than a year? ROTFLMAO!!!

AWWWWWW sounds like you all had fun yesterday in chat. Yet again another fun time missed again because of work *stomps footsies and hmmphs* Its cold and windy here in SC which is ok I can go a day without sweating.

Hey All-
It seems like every time I do not get to the Blog for a couple of days that there are a ton of new names on here-so hi to all the newbies. Can you imagine when CFC comes out how big this will be? It's Ross' charisma and the friendly people here that make it happen.
