Grocery Store: The Musical.
February 10, 2007
Happy Saturday, blog buddies!
I woke up early this morning to meet my trainer at the gym by 8:30am. However, right when I was about to leave the house, Barack Obama was making his big announcement and I felt like - in the name of American history - I had to watch at least until he said the words, "I'm running for the office of President of the United States..."
I was only 12 minutes late and George, my patient-yet-pushy trainer, wasn't too mad at me.
I took some time off from the gym in January because life got in the way (traveling, working, laziness, etc.), but I've been practically living there lately. In fact, I was there last night and again this morning. Granted, going to the gym can be a pain in the butt (getting off the couch, turning off the TV, putting on the workout clothes, etc.), but once you get on a roll, you feel AMAZING.
Anyway, now I'm back home and rushing to get ready to leave in an hour or so for a quick one night get away to Palm Springs with my best friend Kim!
Don't worry, gang - I'll take pictures and will post them on Monday's blog entry (tomorrow will be another LAZY SUNDAY LINK).
In other news...
Did anyone get a chance to hear me interviewing celebrities at the pre-Grammy press day on Star 98.7 yesterday? They aired the interviews randomly throughout the day, so it was hard to tell people when to listen. It was pretty cool, I have to admit, to be driving and suddenly hear myself on the radio - I totally get now what it must be like to be Beyonce.
Yesterday was really fun. I worked with Lisa Foxx, one half of Star 98.7's morning show. Lisa is SO great and SO nice and SO fun!
And, of course, I took some pictures to share with all of my blog buddies!
Here we are with James Blunt:

Here we are with Chris Daughtry and the members of the band Daughtry.

I met Chris in the bathroom before we took this picture. I was walking to the sink to wash my hands and this guy goes, "Woah, hey - it's Ross! My wife and I love you!"
I turned and looked and screamed, "Oh my God! I voted for you!"
He was great - nice, real, grounded. I'm a big fan.
Here we are with Greg Grunberg (from Felicity and Alias and currently Hero's) and singer Mat Kearney.

Here we are with Jared Leto from 30 Seconds to Mars (and, umm... My So-Called Life!!!!!!).

He recently gained and lost 70 pounds for a role in a film, so he was giving me advice on Celebrity Fit Club.
And, finally, here we are with Corinne Bailey Rae who is so frickin' cute, it's not even funny.

On another note...
Oh! After I went to the gym last night, I swung through the grocery store and totally fell in love with a new thing: shopping while listening to my iPod. Seriously! The grocery store is right next to my gym and I just walked right off the treadmill and into the store, leaving my iPod on in the process. It wasn't until I was in the cereal aisle that I realized I was totally rocking out to Jill Scott. Embarrassed, I looked around to see if anyone was watching. Luckily, I was safe. Then I decided not to care. It was fun to bee-bop around through the aisles in my own little world. I highly suggest it!
Until tomorrow, gang!

PS - For some reason, the COMMENT SECTION isn't working! It drives me BONKERS that it's wacky, but there's literally nothing I can do about it - the NBC tech peeps aren't at work during the weekends. The only thing I can recommend is going into the CHAT ROOM to converse. The problem may fix itself or not. Sorry, gang!
