Making scents.
January 12, 2007
TGIF, blog buddies!
The blog is going up a little late today because I've spent the majority of my day calling most of the BLOGGERS OF THE MONTH (or, at least the ones who have sent me their phone numbers!) about their duties assisting me in covering the Golden Globe Awards for The Tonight Show!
(For more info, scroll down to see yesterday's blog entry or simply click HERE.)
Daria, my office mate/co-worker/friend, snuck this picture of me talking to one of our BLOGGERS OF THE MONTH, but I won't tell you who!

It was really nice finally putting a voice to the blog name for so many of you who I've blogged with for almost a year now!
If you're a BLOGGER OF THE MONTH who wants to partake in the Golden Globe experiment, you have until TODAY to get me your phone number! Hurry up! :)
In other news...
I spent last night with my best friend Kim and I had a blast. We hadn't been out in a while (due to the craziness of the holidays and whatnot), so it was super-nice to spend some 1-1 time together. After gabbing and grabbing a quick drink at our favorite bar in Silverlake, we dropped by one of the most famous karaoke bars in the city, The Brass Monkey in/near Koreatown.
Now, if you read the RossBlog regularly, you know that I can't resist karaoke. I shared my gift with everyone at The Brass Monkey last night (I have the voice of an angel) by singing The Supremes classic One Day We'll Be Together. People laughed. People cried. People stood up and applauded. People asked for their money back.
Unfortunately, I forgot my camera so I couldn't document the moment. Fortunately, singing isn't my only talent.
Here's my attempt at an artist's dramatization of me singing last night.

You're welcome.
On another note...
My voice wasn't the only miracle to happen at The Brass Monkey last night. Allow me to explain.
At one point, I had to use the potty. After washing my hands and walking back out into the bar, I smelled THE MOST amazing scent.
I asked Kim, "What is that smell?!?"
It turned out it was me - the soap in the restroom was THE BEST SMELLING THING I'VE EVER SMELLED.
It kind of smelled like those powdery pastel mints that old ladies keep in dishes. Do you know the kind? This soap smelled like those covered in flowers and baby powder. UNREAL.
I so so so wish I could find it as a cologne. Does that ever happen to you? Have you ever smelled anything and thought to yourself, "Oh my God, I so wish I could smell this all the time?"
It happens to me a lot. I'll smell a lime and think, "Why doesn't someone make a lime perfume?"
Have YOU ever smelled something and fallen in love with it? If YOU had YOUR way, what scents do YOU think they should start making?
Until tomorrow, blog buddies!
