Louise is a horse whisperer.
December 29, 2006
Happy Friday, blog buddies!
I hope you're all enjoying your last few days of 2006. I know I am. I'm still up in Washington State visiting my family and having a blast. My mom and I just got back from taking my nephew, Kai, to Target and through Micky Dee's drive through to get him a hamburger happy meal (which smelled so good that I nearly ripped the fries out of his teeny little hands).
After dropping him off at his daddy's house (my brother, Eric), mom and I went for a healthy lunch of soup and salad at the food co-op downtown before swinging through the bank and heading home for me to write this blog.
In a little bit, we're going to the cell phone store to switch mom over to my plan so we can talk talk talk all we want for free.
Fun!
If you read yesterday's blog, you know that I went for a walk along the river yesterday afternoon with one of my best friends Taya, my mom, and my paw-fect little dog-ter, Louise. It was SO much fun! I promised I'd take some pictures and I NEVER EVER let down my blog buddies!
Here's my mom, Louise and I yesterday during our walk (notice my scarf wrapped around my head - it was COLD!!!):

And here I am with Taya:

Isn't Washington State GORGEOUS?!? Oh, and Taya's not hard on the eyes, either. :)
I thought I knew EVERYTHING there was to know about Louise, but I found out yesterday that I was wrong. It turns out Louise is a total frickin' horse whisperer. I'm not kidding!
Here's what happened: we were walking and suddenly Louise started barking. Out of know where, these two huge horses started charging the fence, running around the field in circles, and charging the fence again.
"What the hell are they doing?" I asked.
"I think," my mom tried to explain, "They're playing with Louise."
"Oh. My. God. My. Dog. Is. A. Frickin'. Horse. Whisperer."

What CAN'T my paw-fect little dog-ter do?!? I love her!!!
(Oh, and I'm obsessed with the picture above - it's my new background on my laptop. Beautiful, right??!)
In other news...
I spent last night at the Casino up the road and won $15 on the penny slots.
I don't know about you, but I can't think of another FUN FUN FUN activity that you get PAID to do. PLUS, all the free diet pop you can drink. I was in HEAVEN!
Here's my trick: if you start out with $5, as soon as you hit a total of $10, cash out. Put the original $5 back in your pocket and just play with your winnings. That way, you'll never leave with less than what you came in with! (Unless, of course, you lose your original $5 right off the bat, in which case you're totally screwed).
Fun!
