In other news...

I've been rushing all morning cleaning up after hosting a fun-tastic BBQ at my house last night. My best friend Kim's parents are in town for Thanksgiving and I threw a pre-turkey day party - we dined on wine, salad, asparagus and the cousin to the turkey, chicken. YUMMY!

Then, of course, the rest of this morning was consumed with my pre-show ritual of tearing apart my closet, hating everything I own, wanting to go to the mall to buy something new but running out of time and settling for something in the back of my closet with the price tag still attached (which means I've never worn it and probably only bought it because it was on sale or I was in need of retail therapy) that I'll probably end up hating but have to wear now because it's too late to change my mind. Oh well!

Okay - I've seriously got to run. Check back later tonight.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hey Ross! I love your segments and will be watching tonight while I get everything ready for tomorrow. I Just happen to get everything that i can ready the night before so that way all i have to do is get up and put it in the oven the next morning. Going to my parents house but Im cooking the turkey among other things so I have alot to do.

Oh, don't worry, you always look stylish! I am prying my eyes open tonight just to stay up and see your segment! Hope you have a great Thanksgiving!

Just collecting a few recipes off my computer to start my cooking. I love Thanksgiving and we are joining friends for a HUGE feast. Love a big celebration!!

Glynis I totally agree there are more important things to talk about than stupid stuff like celebrity fights or, heaven forbid, a $3.5 million dollar wedding. That wedding really gets to me.
In another karma question:
there used to be a song (a country song) that was about karma. I just remember the video - a woman in her broken down mercedes, a man stops to help and his wife turns out to be the pregnant waitress that takes care of the mercedes lady.
Does anyone remember the name to the song??

I'll be working nights tonight and as long as nobody calls us we should be able to watch the show. Otherwise I'll get the kids to set up the vcr.

Whabby---in the comment of yesterday's post, you wrote you agree w/ Jac: the golden rule rules. That's pretty much the basic tenet of Karma. You just have to divorce the scientific concept and realize (believe?) the feeling (energy) is there. I am able to believe in this concept mostly because of my upbringing. There was a time when the academic world of nursing school took over and I became more and more ensconsed with clinical (scientific) issues. Now I've come full circle where I believe Karma, whether good or bad, does exist. I also believe Karma can peacefully co-exist with our scientific principles and beliefs....well at least the good Karma. :^) Oh, BTW, why do you have 3 "b"s in whabbear today?

A bunch of the kids and adults at the Grinch had a sleepover in the V.I.P. room just to watch you on the Tonight Show!!!

...and because we had to be at the theatre at 4:00 a.m. the next day so that we could do the Thanksgiving Parade.
