Happy Thursday, blog buddies!

I'm writing to you from Charlotte, North Carolina where I'm shooting a Tonight Show segment with NASCAR!

I'm just about to run out of my hotel room to meet the crew in the lobby and head out for the race track, but I wanted to write a quick blog first.

We left LA early yesterday morning, but if you read the blog regularly you know that already. Did you take part in our 2nd ever RossBlog FIELD TRIP? If not, you totally missed out! We had SO much fun. Scroll down to check out yesterday's blog entry to read all the fun.

I took pictures during the plane ride and here they are!

I totally lucked out and got to sit next to my co-worker Anthony on the plane.

Anthony is a writer on the show and is in charge of directing and producing my segments. He's SUPER funny with a SUPER work ethic. Seriously - he was even editing one my upcoming segment on the plane (this is the segment where I make a fool out of myself in front of Dame Elizabeth Taylor... Oopsies!)

Apparently, my work ethic is a bit lacking, because while Anthony was hard at work I was flipping though my tabloids. Oh well!

I'm lucky enough to work with some AMAZING people! My co-worker Scott (our show's talent coordinator) sat in front of me :

And Izzy (a production coordinator on the show) sat behind me, but came up a couple times to say hi.

AC, another co-worker, is with us but somehow managed to avoid getting his picture taken for the blog. THAT will change. :)

We spent last night exploring Charlotte (dinner and walking around) and planning tomorrow's shoot. There was a great thunder and lightening storm in Charlotte last night and I watched it all unfold as I fell asleep in my comfy bed in my fancy-dancy hotel room (that I'm not paying for)... life is good, my friends!

Okay, I'm totally running late. This East coast time difference always screws me up!

Good morning again! We're still on the road on our way to the race track. We got Starbucks (thank God), but we skipped breakfast. I'm kind of like "ummm... you guys...?" But I don't think the rest of the crew is hungry. Oh well!

i agree you should have had a bite to eat for breakfast, afterall it is the most important meal of the day, as someone else already said. it sets the mood for the rest of the day, i know when i used to not eat any breakfast i would be hungry all day long. but when i eat breakfast i am not. :) especially if you are deciding to watch your intake, when you skip a meal your body goes into starvation mode and i do believe it starts storing more fat cells. :) that would be ann excellant way to never forget to eat your breakfast. :)

This is interesting.... the TODAY show is showing a new diet drink that will be marketed by Coca Cola (in conjuntion with Nestea) that "helps" burn calories and will be introduced nationwide next year. Has about as much caffiene as a cup of coffee & green tea as well as something called EGCG.

Intriguing idea, Mikey! The segment could have Ross hanging out with astronauts and taking part in a simulated shuttle ascent (the scariest part of the trip) in the full-motion shuttle mission simulator down at JSC. Lots of malfunctions could be written in to the sim to create thrills and chills!

I know one of the astronauts on the next mission (December) pretty well, so who knows? It could be done, and it could be a ton o'fun!

Berry, I remember Jolt Cola! We used to stock up on it when we went up north (from So. Ohio to N. Ohio). It was our "drug" to keep us awake on the 4 hour trip home, after spending the day at Cedar Point. Sadly, the place we always stopped to get it no longer carries it though. Sorry mom...I over reacted last night!!!

Ok, I have a Jolt cola story. One night a bunch of us went out and ended up staying out all night. I had to work at 7 the next morning, and because I hadn't slept, I decided that my breakfast would be 2 bottles of Jolt and a couple handfuls of chocolate covered coffee beans. Mistake #1..the Jolt...never drink more than 1 bottle..mistake #2...the coffee beans...delicious, but still a big mistake. Anyway, this combination kicked in after about 45 minutes, and there is a 2 hours block from that day that is lost. By the end of the day, I was shaking soooo bad!! If there is a way to OD on caffeine, I'm pretty sure I did it that day, and I'll tell you right now, it will NEVER happen again!!

I'm watching "CLICK" tonight.. anyone seen it.. It look really cute.

Jolt is good. They make a Jolt chewing gum now. I haven't seen it in a while and I don't remember where I got it before, I think in NC.

I agree, Krick, Coca Cola Blak was nasty. I love Coke, but I think I took like only 2 sips of that Blak and then I poured out the rest. And that stuff is expensive! I'll stick with my Red Bull. Ummmm....Red Bull and Vodka. Haven't had one of those in a while! I could sure use one now!

oooh glad someone else agrees.. coca cola blak was the nastiest thing I have ever tasted.. I threw it out after one sip.. semmed like a good idea at the time.. live and learn
