Happy Thursday, blog buddies!

Did you get a chance to watch my segment on The Tonight Show last night? If you did, you saw me eat s@*t and fall into the lake... three times! But I made it to the 2nd log, didn't I?!? Whooptie whoop!

Today on my way into work I stopped by Starbucks to grab an iced vente Americano. Now, if you've been reading the blog regularly, you know that I've been trying to quit Starbucks and switch to just normal everyday regular person household coffee. It hasn't been going well.

The Gods made me pay for my mistakes today. After grabbing my coffee from the barista and briskly jogging out the door, I spilled coffee all down my shirt. Seriously. All over.

That's Karma for you. Starbucks karma. Or should I say Kar-bucks? Or Star-ma?

So I decided to brush off work, swing through Subway to grab a 6-inch turkey on wheat, drop by Blockbuster to rent a movie, and turn my car around towards home to spend the day watching TV on the couch with Louise.

Ooopsies!

I've had a long long week and deserve a day off, I think. Right? Right...?!? Anyone?

Tonight I'm going to my friend Jackie Beat's show in West Hollywood and then coming home early to get a good night's sleep - after my day off today, I'd better be at the office bright and early tomorrow morning!

Have you ever just wanted to tell your entire day, "I'm taking the day off"? On behalf of all of us, I did it today. :)

If you saw the last post from yesterday... you know I thought I was missing the Ross segment... but YEAH the special report ended JUST as Leno was calling Ross out... it is on NOW...YEA!!!

Shoot, take the day off. Call it a mental health day if you want to. I sure used to. Now I'm home most of the time. The grass is always greener. I"m happy anyway. Hope you are too. Enjoy. I've watched the show over to day and laughed every time. That makes my day.

chest-ification I have goin on.. I won't wear a shirt if the stain doesn't come out.. I've ruined more shirts than I can count and butter spends a lot of time saying "but you can barely see it!!"

When something like that happens so early in the morning, I know that the rest of my day is going to be terrible, so I always wish that I can take the day off, so I don't have to mess something up that I have to fix on a good day, then the good day turns into a bad day. Confused yet???

Sorry to hear what happened with your shirt. Yes sometimes my bad day starts 5 minutes after I get out of bed in the morning. I wish I could crawl right back in bed until the next morning, but I have to keep going. I have many shirts with coffee, tea, or food grease stains on them, but none of them are as big as yours is. lol. Sometimes I feel like slapping a sticker next to them that says 'yes, I'm a slob.'

Obviously Louise is happy you took the day off.

Perhaps your goal of completely eliminating Starbucks is too restricting. Maybe you should make a new goal for yourself. Like replacing Starbucks with home made coffee 4 days a week. That would be progress and you won't feel so bad every time you end up in Starbucks. Some weeks may be better, some worse.

And if you REALLY enjoy Starbucks so much, maybe it's just worth the money. Someone has to keep them in business!

As for the Lumberjack segment, LOVED IT. I stayed up late just to watch it (I am usually asleep early, being an Olden and all)

Just one question: How did you get to the second log without seriously hurting yourself? It sure can't be easy but you made it look easy!

My theory on the Starbucks issue...if you aren't skipping out on your electric bill so you can have Starbucks, then go for it! There. I said it.

It was a lazy day around here too....didn't get out of bed until 11 a.m. (I'm usually showered & dressed by 8:30 a.m.)!!

It seems like I'm always spilling something on my shirt. don't feel bad. I don't. Just change and go on. I should save time and just put some on my shirt before eating. It'll get there anyway. LOL

I'M sure ready for a day off!!! I worked 12 hrs at my job today & then worked 2 more hrs at my daughter's dance studio. Good thing I love what I do, but an EXTRA day (or two) off is always a good thing. Everyone needs those mental health days once in a while.

Hope you had a great day Ross. I'm sure it's hard to leave that beautiful Louise every morning.

I really enjoyed your lumberjack segment. My favorite part was when you ran across the first log and reached the second one, BRAVO!

A few weeks ago, I actually made it to work with my Starbucks coffee...stopped to talk to a coworker...somehow lost control of my coffee and spilled it all over me, my coworker and his jacket, his desk, and all down the wall. I was REALLY embarrased! I swear, the lid just popped off and swoosh! All friggin' all over the place.

Anyhoo, great job with the logs, Ross. Although, I would have liked to see you take the pole like a man...heh, heh.

Ross, I just wanna say that you are the light of so many people's lives. Ever since I first saw you on the tonight show you've made me realize that there is so much good in the world. It's like every day feels so special knowing that you're a part of my life, even in such a distant form. I only make minimum wage but I've been saving for a trip to california to come and see a taping of the tonight show over the last several months, hoping that maybe just maybe you'll make an appearance. My husband, Dexter, is in the armed forces and is currently fighting in Iraq. The only thing I can do to take my mind off of the fact that he might not survive is to watch your segments that I've recorded on my special "ross tape." If something ever happened to that tape I don't know what I'd do. It's become a part of me.

I also would like to point out that everyone I met in chat last night was so friendly and welcomed me with open arms. I do so appreciate that. I hope all of my new friends will pray for me to be strong while my Dexter is serving for his country. Thank you and goodnight.

It was a forward of an e-mail sent to HIM by one of HIS friends, and the original distribution list was even LARGER.

Guess what the content was? Ross's Steve Irvin segment! People are clearly motivated to distribute the segment because they find it so funny!
