Hola, blog buddies!

And an extra big "hola" to you new blog buddies who just saw me on TV and decided to come over to check out the ole' blog. I hope you like what you see!

I update this blog everyday with pictures and stories from my everyday life. You'll see everything from the mundane (like my trips to Starbucks or the mall) to the magnificent (like my days behind-the-scenes at The Tonight Show or hanging out with super-stars).

Now, let's get to what went down today behind-the-scenes at The Tonight Show...

The first thing I did when I got to the studio today was go to the office of Anthony, a writer on the show and the guy who produces/directs all of my segments. Here we are going over the script of what I said when Jay called me out onto the stage to introduce my piece.

Then it was time for rehearsal - this is when we try everything out for the first time. The only audience during rehearsal is a small group of producers, stage managers, writers, NBC pages, Jay Leno and me. Here's a picture I took as I was waiting backstage for Jay to call me out for rehearsal (this is where all the Tonight Show guests walk out from behind the big screen).

And here's a picture that Roberta, the stage manager, took of me as I came off stage after rehearsal. By the look on my face, you can tell that rehearsal went really well - after a horrible rehearsal, I'm usually ripping things up, punching the wall and throwing a total hissy fit. VERY Naomi Campbell.

After rehearsal, it was time to change my clothes and get into make-up. I seriously don't know why I even try, you guys. Seriously - no matter what I do, I still just look like a chubby ball of pink. Oh well!

Here I am in my dressing room as Jay was finishing his monologue - only like 2 minutes before it was time for me to go out on stage!

I had SO SO SO much fun today! Even after a hundred and something segments on The Tonight Show, it never gets old. The lights, the stars, the free food in the dressing room... it's all fantastic and I love every minute of it!

In other news...

Did you watch Dancing with the Stars last night?!? I totally didn't watch this show until this season and I am seriously kicking myself now - IT IS SO SO GOOD! Mario Lopez is my pick to win, but is it maybe just a little teeny tiny bit lame that I got kinda misty when Jerry Springer danced for his daughter?!? Aww, screw it - I'm a super fan and Idon'tevencare!

Your segment was hilarious tonight. You looked great...lol the blonde wig was funny. I was sitting here laughing and cheering for you along with everyone else. The chat was fun tonight...a little busy, but all your regulars do a great job welcoming everyone and ignoring those who are very rude. They don't seem to hang around to long once they take the hint.

Anyway just wanted to say great segment once again. One of the main reasons I watch the tonight show.

I like Dancing with the Stars too, but haven't watched it this season, there were too many good new shows and returning favorites on to take up my time.

I woke up my husband laughing so hard when you fell in the water and then said, "How do I look wet"? I think your segments are the best TTS has!
I have to know...Did you meet Rod Stewart?? I have loved him probably since before you were born! I have many great memories of events where Rod was singing in the background!

You totally rocked tonight Ross!!! Even the kids bargained so they could stay up and watch, No One was sorry they did!!! I have been just reading for the last couple days, stupid tooth decided to absess so haven't been very smiley. But you had me in stitches tonight, you were so funny!! Face is paying for it now, but it was completely worth it and I wouldn't have missed it for the world. Thank you for bringing sunshine into our world.

loved you last night on tts. i stayed up to watch it. paying for it today, seeing how tts comes on where i live at 1:05 am and your segment airs round 1:20am it was so funny, when you told that guy you had to change and he said yes and made a comment about your pink plaid shirt, so funny. then the log running. rofl i thought my husband was going to pee his pants. rofl so much better watching your segments live on tts then later on youtube. it was so funny when you made that clock for jay. you should try to get him to get involved with one of your next segments, i bet it would be hiliarious. rofl
i have been watching dancing with the stars since the first season, love it. i can't believe they voted of vivica a. fox, i thought she did great the night before, i thought for sure sarah would be going home. this year it is very unpredictable who goes home and who stays. best season yet. welcome on board ross. :) this weekend we in canada are celebrating thanksgiving, i am cooking a huge turkey, can't wait. :) you should do a segment on thanksgiving with the indians and pilgrims. with you dressed up as the turkey or a pilgrim(sp?):) it would make for a great segment, maybe include jay in that one. :) well i must take off, have a great day all and take care and keep it real. sorry i didnt make it to chat last night, but 7am comes really fast when you dont got to bed til 2am. :) maybe i will try next time when another one of ross's segment's airs. :)

i have to say, i don't think i would have attempted to run across the logs. and you did it over & over. what a trooper. heck, i don't think i'd have tried to do a lot of things you've done. (like climbing the mast of that pirate ship in a different segment! or the time you held the hissing cockroach! ewwww!!)

WOW, Ross you blogg and all you guys your posts really have me stoked!!! Living on base in Germany means that tonight (thursday) I get to watch wed. night Leno. OH I AM SOOOO MAD.... I am an early to bed gal, so I was struggling to stay up to watch the Ross segment tonight (like I stated earlier, we get stuff one day later than you, here in Germany on base). ANYWAY, it was supposed to come on and all of the sudden we get a program change and it is pre-empted by a live news report with the House Speaker.

So, I guess I am missing this Ross segment... poopy!
