Happy Wednesday, blog buddies!

I feel like I've been a hermit since getting back from the East Coast. Seriously, I've been going to bed at like 9:30, getting up, going to work, coming home, cooking dinner, watching a bit of TV, and going to bed again. I feel like I'm in senior citizen mode (no offense to our senior bloggers). Even Louise is looking up at me like, "Wow, Dad. You're totally snoresville."

But tonight will be no different because I have to get up early tomorrow morning to shoot yet another Tonight Show segment (yeah!) with Louise (yeah!) for another installment of my video blog (yeah!). Pictures and more info to come tomorrow.

I had to be to work early today to attend sexual harassment training class (required by NBC for all employees). I don't know if something's wrong with me or if this happens to everyone, but during the entire session I had the crazy urge to scream out offensive profanities. Is that normal? Yes? No? Maybe just a little? But of course I was totally professional and kept my mouth shut.

I just found out today that "Barstucks" is opening a store in Paris, TX soon. That's only an hour away from where I live. It's sad to think I'd actually consider driving to Paris for a caramel frappuccino. Sometimes a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do!!!

I remember when "The Exorcist" was released. When my friends and I went to see it, there were 100's of people protesting against the local theatre for screening the movie. It took forever to get inside but it was a great movie.

Ok 'back to work... my dang back is killing me today...

Hey Ross! How exciting...Linda Blair! I will never forget when HBO was first introduced to cable, my mom and I would watch ANY movie that was on, even if it wasn't the kind of movie you would normally watch, just because now you could... and The Exorcist was one of those movies! I was horrified when she did that crucifix scene--mostly because my mom was in the room and I wasn't supposed to know what any of those words meant! And when that movie was over, I refused to go upstairs alone, slept with a cross in my bed with me and kept the lights on all night~ for like a WEEK! I have never been more scared in my life and the only thing that freaks me out as much are those damned flying monkeys in Wizard of Oz!!

Ok...I have calmed down now. I just can't get over seeing Linda's eyes again. Same eyes just older. AAAAAAGH! Here I go again!!

So, your sexual harassment class... any suggestions? LOL I don't think I have ever wanted to scream out profanities (except during that crucufix scene with my mom in the room.) I always get the giggles though... badly. And then anything they would be telling me would be twisted to sound like a dirty joke and I wouldn't be happy until everyone in the class has the same "mind in the gutter" mentality that I am suffering through.

I even laughed hysterically when the police questioned me at a car accident I caused when I was 19. It's a bad habit to have... but I can't help it.

Going to think of my question for Linda and try to think of how nice she must be in real life.

oooooo.... I too love Linda Blair. My fav's are Born Innocent and Sarah T. Portrait of a Teenage Alcoholic. Born Innocent gave me such of fear of going to juvie that I was always such a good girl. Well maybe not that good! And as for The Exorcist, it took me until about 3 years ago to actually watch the movie, the whole movie. Worst decision I ever made in my entire life. Scared me horribly! I hope I can come up with a good question for Miss Linda!

Hello everyone! I guess I'm the second "new girl" to post today. :) I love reading Ross' blog, and you all seem fantastic, so I thought I would finally leave a comment.

Ross, congratulations on your fundraising for the AIDS Walk! You raised an impressive amount of money in a very short time. My family participates in the Buddy Walk, which is a fundraiser for the National Down Syndrome Society, and we raised a little over $6000 in about two months. My two year old son has Down syndrome, and this was our third year at our walk. That's a nice lead in to my "pinch me moment", too. ;) When my son was born, we had no idea that he had Down syndrome until a very rude doctor broke the news without much sensitivity. When my little guy was just a couple of hours old, he was transported to our Children's Hospital b/c he also had a hole in his heart (a very common trait among children born with DS). So, there I was, alone in the hospital (as my husband had gone to be with the baby), thinking that motherhood was going to be a little tougher than I had anticipated. But, we soon got over the initial shock and started to focus on what needed to be done to help him. He is definitely one of the best gifts I have ever been given. He is by far one of the best people I know; he has a great sense of humor, a steadfast determination, and a huge heart (which was repaired through open heart surgery at 3 1/2 months old...).

Whabby--I'm stumped. It sounds like Tom's partner is in major denial and this is his coping mechanism. I hope he's @ least on some sort of Rx for AIDS/HIV. I'm glad that Tom has friends like you and Huzbear that he can confide in. This is truly not an easy situation and I feel for you.
