I'm so so so sorry to be posting today's blog so late in the day! Have you been wondering where I've been?!? I've been shooting a Tonight Show segment all day. I would have blogged early this morning before I left, but I thought we'd only be out and about shooting for a couple hours during the morning, so I figured I'd just blog when I came back.

Little did I know that I'd be gone for most of the day. Oopsies! But I couldn't help noticing that ya'll have been looking for me.

Did you watch the finale of Project Runway last night? Ehh. I though Uli's final collection was the most impressive, but Jeffrey won instead. All four designers are super-talented, though, so it's not the end of the world.

Tomorrow I'll be posting pictures from my day today eating dog food with Melissa Gilbert, playing around with Nicolette Sheridan, sitting in the grass with Linda Blair, and doing it all with Louise in a lobster costume. Seriously.

I just got home from our PTA walkathon. It is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year... and the weather was not what we had hoped for, but I can't complain because it wasn't windy and the rain was only a light mist. The kids had a blast and they were playing really good music, so I was dancing with the kids and having a good time while I marked off how many laps they did around the track. I am SO glad I went and offered to help. I wasn't looking forward to it (because of the weather) but it was so much fun. Don't you LOVE when that happens?

PS- I was really bummed that Jeffrey won Project Runway. I guess I don't understand high fashion, but his line was the only one I didn't like. And I loved Ule's too!!

As you know, I am one of few words, but I feel that I must say this. I find the "Amber Alert" joke in bad taste. As some of you know, I woke up one morning this summer to an amber alert for one of my students. Reading that statement in todays post really shook me up. I don't think "amber alerts" are anything to joke about.

Maybe I'm being overly sensitive, but I just couldn't go on not saying anything. I don't want to stir up any drama, I just wanted to voice my opinion, and I know it was said with the intent of being funny but as I learned this summer, Amber alerts are one of the most scariest things to go through.

I hope you can understand my point of view and again, I do apologize for being overly sensitive.

I have a confession to make. When I was growing up we had various dogs. Out of curiosity I took a bite of a dog biscuit a couple times. I wouldn't eat them on a regular basis (unless I absolutely had to) but it wasn't all that bad.

There, I said it.

One of my babies used to eat the dog food when we weren't looking. She would be caught shoveling it into her mouth by the handful (btw, YES, we did feed her! LOL) There is nothing worse than a person with dog food breath! YUCK!

Biscuit~ I agree. Heidi Klum is beautiful, but she is lucky because her voice is awful. Everytime I see her speak I think how lucky she is that she's got the look. ANd jeffrey was just the worst!

A couple of week ago, Hymenoptera (well, I think it was you, Hy) wondered what the odds were that three members of a family would all have the same astrological sign, like Libra. Assuming children have an equal (1 in 12) chance of being born under each of the signs, this is what I calculated:

If the family is defined to include only three people (e.g., Ross, Mom, and Eric) then the chances are only 1 in 1728 that all three are Libras. Very uusual. If the family has four people (say Ross, his Mom, Eric, and his Dad), the probability that three of them would be Libras drops to 1 in 432... still prettty unusual! For a family of five (like if we include Ross's nephew in the definition), the odds are still a remote 1 in 172. And finally, for a family defined as having seven members (adding both of Ross's grandmothers, for instance), the odds remain pretty low at 1 in 42.

I'm finally back "home" after spending the night doing a sleep study. What a crock!!!! I only slept for a total of 1.5 hours!!! How's one supposed to sleep with a breathing sensor taped to your face and an oxygen sensor taped to the full length of your index finger?!?! And don't even get me started on the hard-ass hospital bed!!!!! Oh, my aching back!!!! I'm off to take some ibuprofen and get some REAL sleep in a REAL bed!!!!! But before I do that.....
