to Ryan: End of the Year Stories...

Charles: In Harmony, there's always a Christmas miracle and this year it's Chad & Whitney's Wedding. That's a miracle
considering what they've been through! And Jared is actually Chad's best man.

James: Jared may be taking another step with Teresa Crane...but you'll have to tune in to find out.

to Lashuna: Our Favorite Actors

James: I'm a huge Morgan Freeman fan. I'm a huge Jimmy Stewart fan. Kathy Bates is brillian and highly underrated. There are a lot of great actors. Young people like Leonardo DiCaprio, he did some brilliant stuff when he was younger and now.

Charles: I'm a big James Stevenson fan. :) I can't stop watching Jeffrey Wright. I like Don Cheadle. In the past, Sean Connery, the original Bond, he's the man. Meryl Streep is great. There are a lot of great actors right now, as well as those who are still coming up.

James: My hardest scene and most exhausting, was just a couple of days ago. It was big scene where I'm going off on Ethan and Teresa. It was very emotional.

to Stacy: Is Everyone in Harmony Cursed?

Charles: Yes, Chad is a Crane. The curse is just the drama of living in Harmony. I don't know that there is truly a Tabitha curse. This little town just has a lot of drama going on all the time...which is a curse in itself.

to Monique: Holiday Plans

Charles: Passions tapes a month in advance, so we have a little crew party. The past couple of years, the cast gets together and buys lunch for the crew as a thank you. We have some new cast changes, so we'll see who takes the reigns with the planning this year. This year, I'm going to Argentina over the holidays.

to Summer: Friends in Real Life

Charles: Well, yeah. We're hanging out right now! We're sharing experiences and building a friendship. We are literally on a hike right now, calling in from a cell phone.

James: He's kind of a weird dude. The reason I took him on this hike was to get him to leave me alone. No, but really, Charles is a lot of fun. We got out of work early, we thought we'd get out and do something fun. It's good to get out and do some hiking! We have a good time.

to Carly: First Day on the Set

James: It was exciting! You don't know what you're walking into. Everyone was very welcoming. It was a good experience overall. It's been downhill every since...no! Just kidding! Lindsay took me under wing and showed me the ropes. Everyone was really cool.

Charles: My first day I was crazy nervous. It was my first gig in a new town. I got thrown into the mix with an existing storyline, so that had it's own drama. Brooke and everyone was really welcoming and helped me along. Everyone's first day is always good because it's a fun set to be on, very low pressure.

to Linda: Our Favorite Scenes

James: I like working with Charles a lot. Lindsay's great, but when you're friends with someone and can relate to them, like I can with Charles, it makes it easier. No matter how crazy the dialogue is you can make it real, when you're on that level with someone. Working with Lindsay, it's always a little more dramatic because we're in a relationship so it's not always AS fun.

Charles: I like working with James because I like James. We try to find interesting ways to do things, plus he's new and brings a new perspective to things. Then there's Brooke, a whole other fresh energy. We try to find the comedy.

Regarding Jim's Wife... and Our Shirtless Jobs

James: It always brings a slight element of self-consciousness because you're more exposed. You get over it more and more as the day goes by...but like any actor, you want to cover up, fold your arms, put your hands in your pocket, so it makes it difficult.

Charles: it's a right of passage for working on Passions! You gotta get used to it. When summer comes along, you just know the shirt is coming off.

Strangeness.

Charles: the thing about LA /Hollywood, as crazy as Passions is, that's how chill and uneventful this place is. It's a Wednesday afternoon and I'm hiking in the hills. The drama is all on the screen. James is a little more exciting...

James:The strangest thing was working on the show! That's probably the strangest thing. Not a bad thing, but definitely a big change in my life. Otherwise, it's been pretty uneventful. I don't go out and do too much. Not much insanity (that I can talk about anyway!).

to Siobhan: How do we stay sizzling hot?

James: It's tough! Really difficult! laughing)
Take care of yourself mentally in physically.I'm back and forth to the gym - I'm like an addict struggling with an addiction to not work out! I'd like to get into it more. When I was first on the show, I had my shirt off a lot and so I was in the gym a lot. Now, we're in the winter season, so not so much.

Charles: Thank you ladies, for thinking I'm "sizzling hot". Genetics! It's not about staying or becoming, what you see is who I am. If people like that, then thank you!

Passions Message Boards

Charles: Yes, I do go to NBC.com/Passions. It's actually set as my home page! I check it out. it's good to see what ideas people have about the show and the characters. It's kinda why we do it, to get that fan response. It's nice because I hear about the online stream and Tabloid Truth and it's nice to be part of a show that's cutting edge with new media and technology.

James: I have my own website called james_stevenson.net and I'm on there once a week to answer back to the fans. I like to see what people are asking. I get a lot of peoplel from my hometown Tolmand, CT logging on.

to Lindsey: Average Day on the Set

James: Let's see...we show up, go to hair/makeup for about 10 minutes (Charles take longer...), then just chill and go over lines a couple times (50 times) until they call us to set.

Charles: We show up fairly early and go thru a rehearsal with the director to work out camera blocking. Then we go to makeup and wardrobe. We usually get together as a group and rehearse with an acting coach, Marie O'Brien, who makes sure we did our homework. Then we wait our turn.

James: I like working with Linsday. She's a great girl, a lot of fun and devoted to her craft. As for our off-screen dynamic, we don't hang out - she's a wife and mother - so we're not out partying, but it's friendly.

Charles: It's definitely getting more mysterious, Chad has someone on the side that he can't get enough of. I don't think I can share any more without losing my job...but it's going to be a big shock and a big change in the live of Chad.

Welcome

Hi! Welcome to the live blog with “Passions” stars James Stevenson (Jared) and Charles Divins (Chad). We know you have tons of questions for these two guys, but first please take the time to look over these guidelines.

Please be respectful to the actors and the other fans. Do not use inappropriate or offensive language. Try to keep your questions simple and to-the-point. Inappropriate comments will be deleted on an on-going basis.

A moderator will go through everyone’s questions and select certain ones to ask the actors. James and Charles will relay their responses to the moderator, who’ll quickly type them up. Don’t get impatient – we’ll type as fast as our little fingers can go! We will also do our best to get to as many of you as possible!
