Writers Block
October 28, 2007The next afternoon, the fans were treated to the last event being held at The Office Convention, The Writers Block. The writers of the hit show, including recently arrived BJ Novak, showed up to answer questions from fans about The Office.
This was a great opportunity for the writers to explain the process they follow when writing an award-winning sitcom and also gave them a chance to share their pearls of wisdom to inspire other comedic writers.
After the two-hour Q&A session was over, the fans were treated to the first few scenes of next Thursday’s episode, Branch Wars. Following the session, writers joined their fans for cocktails at the VIP event that followed backstage. Since this was the last event of the weekend, many of them had cut the session short so they would make their flights back home to Los Angeles to return to work on the hit show.
