Olympic Saturday
October 27, 2007Saturday was an extra early day for us as we headed down to set up for Scranton’s First Annual Office Convention. This involved setting up our booth for Dunder Mifflin Infinity and gathering participants for The Office Olympics.
The one thing we were expecting, but secretly hoping wouldn’t happen was rain. And it didn’t just rain, it poured! But a little downpour didn’t stop fans from showing up armed with cameras, pens, and pictures in hopes of getting a glimpse of their favorite Scranton paper pushers.
The crowd of fans that were browsing new Office merchandise at the set up NBC store and signing up for The Office Olympics grew ten times over when the first round of stars from The Office showed up to sign autographs.
The rain put a little delay on getting the signings started, but that didn’t stop Oscar, Creed and Craig from stretching out their autograph sessions to make sure every patient fan that waited in line got an autograph. As the first three finished their one-hour session, the next three arrived. The crowd was also ecstatic to see new faces added to the roster; Mindy and Melora had arrived that morning, ready to join the party in Scranton!
