Banquet Dinner
October 27, 2007It seems the weekend has been one big blur and we were already surprised with everything that was accomplished. It is hard to imagine that one show can inspire thousands of people from all over the world to make the pilgrimage to a small city in Northeast Pennsylvania. The city gave us a very big thank you by hosting a VIP dinner for the cast, crew and NBC executives. It was amazing how grateful Scranton was as a whole, but even more, it was awe-inspiring that a small group of people had a dream of making such an event as The Office Convention happen and it did! At dinner, you could hear members of the cast talk about how this event had moved them.
The real highlight of the dinner was walking outside on the patio where Scranton put on a beautiful fireworks show for their celebrated guests. The entire city night lit up and with every giant display, it was made even more evident how thankful Scranton was to the show and the cast. A few of the actors, including Angela and Melora took turns taking pictures from the balcony at the amazing fireworks that went off behind them. All of the actors were touched by the gigantic welcome they had received from the town of Scranton.
