I sat and cheered at the television. I felt sorry for Jeffrey that it took Lily so long, but was thrilled that she finally decided that Bug was the right man for her. Now I guess I'll have to start feeling sorry for Lu. She and Woody are SO over. But, we always knew he couldn't really love anyone more than he loves Jordan, just like Bug couldn't stop loving Lily. Hi! What an episode! This might be a stupid question, but was the episode on 5/7/06 the season finale? I don't get to watch much due to late-night work shifts....so I was hoping it wasn't, but I thought with the May sweeps, it might be. WOW is all I can say, and I'm happy that Bug & Lily ended up together, though I don't agree with how Lily handled things!

Okay, to clear one thing up, Lu was just doing her job. She wasn't being mean, she was doing it by the book. Also, everyone in the episode should have been off the case to begin with.

I'm glad Lily came to her senses, but I liked Bug with Amy - she seemed to be a better fit for him. Bug deserves a good person, and he truly loves Lily, so I hope it works. As for the breakup, I'm not so sure Lily could have done it much better. If she pulled Jeffery off to the side everyone still would have known what was coming. As it was, she did it quietly. The only thing I can think of would be if she had just said I can't get married today and then talked to Jeffery later to break it off. Wow... long post.

If you're interested in Jordan reruns you should check out A&E mon-thur at 10pm central. How did the episode end? My VCR stopped recording right after they matched Jordan's prints to the dead bartender, so I missed whatever happened next. I hope the Jeffrey doesn't take out the LilyBug thing on Jordan by being extremely bitchy. Lu sucks and I'm glad to see Pollack go because he was an ass. If Lu didn't want to screw things up with Woody she should have been more understanding of why all Jordan's friends were having a hard time with the open-and-shut-ness of this case instead of being a cold hearted bitch about it to everyone. I know she had her head on straight about trying to do her job cause otherwise it would look like a coverup, but thank god she was bitchy enough to get Woody to dump her sorry ass. Yea LilyBug! This is a somewhat more credible turn of events than Jordan's date automagically transferring pictures from his Treo to his flash drive! While not completely impossible to do, the show leaves out a few steps and some essential chunks of hardware.

Well, I've been watching the show "religiously" for the last 4 years, and I can honestly say, it is about time that Lily noticed Bug! Just because I'm a nun, doesn't mean that I'm blind when it comes to seeing True love when it is in front of me! I'm SO glad...now I can't wait to see how they progress the relationship after so many years of...waiting. And Jordan...oh my, she's been in pickles before, I'm sure she'll find a way out of this one...can't wait for next season!!! BTW...NOTHING could pull me away from Crossing Jordan...not even Grey's Anatomy!!!

My favorite show and the VCR cuts off before the end of the finale! Major diappointment! I agree waiting all summer will be a killer but what a way to go out for the season! Have a great summer!

If they'd pulled this kind of stuff when I first started watching, I think I can honestly say that I wouldn't be here right now. It would be one thing if they'd been having hints of Bug/Lily throughout the years, but come on people. We've seen more hints of Bug/Nigel than Bug/Lily in the time between when she first shot him down and when he finally (almost) got over her.

I don't even like Lily anymore. She doesn't have a 'big heart.' She basically jerked Jeff around until the last possible moment. How is that caring at all? She made him feel horrible for standing up for what he believes in, for not telling his mother to go screw herself, and for what? So that she could be with Bug and eventually break his heart too. Good job, CJ, good job.

Absolutely brilliant there. Yes, woo for Lily! Crushing Brandau in the pursuit of a romantic subplot that was dull before it began. I gotta say I'm diasappointed. Not only was the whole thing not my cup of tea, it was also a highly predictable cup of tea to boot.

Maybe if I thought there was any chance of Lily and Jeffrey being together, for any length of time, I would have been more surprised and less disappointed by the predicatble way the show played out.

I need to stick up for Lily here too. Poor girl was ready to call it off a few times. But then you have witchy future mother-in-law whining about all the guests being there already. And then Jeffery whines about the caterer needing an answer. The poor girl was pulled every which way. How's she supposed to concentrate on a wedding when her best friend is accused of murder? Loved that moment in Bug's office though... "Why aren't you at your wedding?"..."Jeffrey's not you."... Perfect, although, where was the kiss? There should've been a kiss at that point.

I haven't even SEEN the episode yet, let alone has season 5 even STARTED over here in Australia but I've been doing my research and am SO happy that Bug & Lily are FINALLY together! My life is complete! !!

You next mission Nigel, is to get Crossing Jordan out on DVD!

I was so sick last night, but I had to watch Crossing Jordan... What Lily said was so cute, when she talked to Bug, and his speech was adorable as well. The whole episode was rather sad... and I can't wait for the next season to come along!

I was wondering does anyone know why there aren't any Crossing Jordan DVD avalibale to buy, considering last night was the 100th episode why isn't there any?

Great Episode! Finally Bug and Lily are together, but do you think it'll last? Who knows? Crossing Jordan is on A&E Monday thru Friday 11pm and 3am. Hopefully that'll keep me busy while you guys are on hiatus.

It's about time Bug and Lily got together eh!! It's also nice to see Woddy beginning to have an interest in Jordan again!

Am I the only one who happens to be devestated that Pollock died? Woody and Jordan won't work out in the long run, not without seriously altering the personalities of their characters, and what fun would the show be after that?

I nearly cried. All those flash backs to Jordan and J.D., she looked so happy. And J.D. has always been way cool. A much better match for Jordan then Woody, by FAR.

I've never much cared for Lily. Bug deserves better, in my opinion. I was overjoyed when he showed intrest in the lady doctor a few weeks back. Most unfortunate.

But, Can't wait for the next season.

I am also happy that Lily and Bug got together it sure took long enough, I didn't however like that jordan is on the run yet again. Nigel maybe you could be on the run sometimes it would make for a great chase.

I taped the episode, and as I check the blog today and watched the new vid, the whole thing sounds rather anti-climactic... I'm not even sure I want to watch it. Bug and Lily together, at this point just seems wrong. So I suppose this also means she not leaving the morgue, too bad... I know people have been rooting for them to get together, but they were both in relationships, Lily was engaged and left a man at the alter. And Bug broke it off with a woman who wanted him and not someone who been toying with him for years, keeping him on the back burner just in case... the whole thing just seems very wrong. I don't know, maybe watching the episode will put things in a different light. But it just seems the romantic loyalty of these characters leaves something to be desired. I'll post again tomorrow after I watch it...

I am so happy they are waking up to each others feelings...On the other hand, its going to be really hard to wait till next season to find out whats going on with Jordan.

You know what I really don't get? Everyone seemed happy, except the fans. Jordan and Pollack were working out great. Better relationship than she ever had with Woody. They could have made it together. But then there's the ranting about how he's scummy, and terrible, and a jerk, and oh but he's not Woody! And now he's dead.

And Jeffrey and Lily (who I think were, if not a perfect couple, at least a good couple) were on the edge of marriage before Lily ruined both that and Bug's relationship (anyone else notice Bug's girl is conspicuous in her absence?) by suddenly deciding that she was in love with Bug. I don't remember her ever showing any indication of interest towards him, and frankly I was happier when it was unrequited. Bug was getting on with his life. How long before Lily decides she's actually in love with someone else? Is she going to leave Bug at the altar too?

I get it. I'm not the target audience. I'm not the one you're writing the stories for. But I'd like to think that maybe, just maybe, the show might be able to drag itself out of the morass it's currently wallowing in, ignore the OMG JORDAN/WOODY FOREVER!!! and the BUG/LILY OTP!1!, and get back to writing good episodes. Where character interaction makes sense. Where we don't have characters rebounding from one bed to another just because the shouting for more JORDAN/WOODY won't stop.

But that's just me.

All right, Nigel. In the video, you mention that you've had romantic notions about Lily. And you punctuate this by mentioning that you almost married her. Now, forgive me if I'm remembering this wrong -- Lily was way down the list. If I'm not wrong, she actually had to ask you. And the first person you asked?

Awesome show last night. I hate it that it was the season-finale and we all have to wait until the end of the summer(oh what a long wait). I am so glad that Woody told off Lu(I don't like her). I wouldn't be surprised that Lu had something or some part in J.D.'s and the bartender's murder, since she has major jealousy issues with Jordan. Lu just needs to back off. I hope that Woody can find Jordan and the both of them find out all the answers they need. I am also glad that Lilly came to her senses and dumped Jeffery. The show Rocks!!!!! Keep up the great work.

Happened kinda fast, but I'm pretty sure that Bug, tipsy as he was, might have kissed Jeffrey at the party. Clearly, the solution to their problems was not breaking up atthe altar. The solution was a threesome. Think about it. I haven't.

I have a new baby and recorded the show on DVR. It went past the hour and stopped when they show that Jordan buys a gun in DC. Can anyone tell me what happened after that?

Lily made him feel horrible for standing up for what he believes in, for not telling his mother to go screw herself, and for what? So that she could be with Bug and eventually break his heart too. Good job, CJ, good job.

There is no reason why any of the people at the morgue would be working on the case. This is not because people are mean. This is what should be happening.

That said, I did enjoy the episode last night.

Bug is the right one for Lily. It is about time that Bug is the one to be happy. Nigel you and Mr. M HAVE to get Lordan off the hook. And Woody and Jordan should be together. Make it two for the price of one wedding.

Nigel,I just love you. it's as simple as that. It's sweet how you both helped Jordan and watched out for her when she stopped into the morgue. And I'm quite pleased Lily isn't marrying that office-geek Jeffery. They were a little too 'cute' for my taste. I truly do not like Bug,but I think it's better Lily be with him. but do tell me Nigel,does that mean our Lily is staying with us in the morgue??? And it wouldn't be the same if Jordan wasn't off risking everything to find out what she wants to know. Ah,but I have faith in her. She may be reckless at times,but she's smarter than I think the lot of you give her credit for.......though overall, I have to say that I truly enjoyed everything from this year and cannot wait to see it all play out. As for Jordan, I don't think the writers went too far. Think about it, she's on the trail, has a warrant out for her arrest, a 2nd man was murdered, and the murderer shot at her in the process, her cell phone can be traced to her location... She may be scared, but she's thinking clearly about her own protection and safety. At least till Woody can get involved and step in to help. Then they'll both be on the run...

But Nigel, are you going to keep up the blog between seasons? Maybe feed us poor CJ fans a few little tasty morsels every now and then???

I watched the episode last night and I can say with all certainty that that was quite possibly the worst season finale in the history of season finales. I would elaborate, but pretty much my comments from yesterday cover it. Gag, that is a full hour of my life that I will never get back...

I didn't read all the comments because there are way too many!! But the ones I have read have not commented on the fact that Pollock was found face up in the bed. Someone explain to me how someone can get shoot in the back and wind up in a bed on his back!! Come on writers, why didn't you explain THAT one?!?!? And don't tell me that Jordan drug him to the bed unless you come up with drag marks, which should have been noticed before! But then again Lu is in charge of this one. She could have ignored all the evidence. Woodie, get your head on straight.

To those who say that everyone should have been off the case, perhaps our guys were on the case because there was nobody else around to handle it.

Hurrah for Bug and Lily. Am I mistaken? Wasn't Lu the police psychologist assigned to help Woody deal with anger management issues? So why is she suddenly carrying a gun and solving(?) crimes? What's wrong with that picture. It's time for Jordan and Woody to get together. It's obvious that they still love each other.

I agree with a lot of the other people here in that the show has devated from its orginal formula and is now about the characters and not the crimes. Were there actually any dead people in the last episode except for JD? Hello... they work in a friggin' morgue, more dead people please!! And its been quite a while since anyone acted out a crime with Jordan, I think the last one was when JD left for DC. I'm through ranting for the day, have fun all... I hope the guy who played JD is on something else in a reoccurring role... I'm drooling just thinking about it!! :)

Um, what I want to know is why anyone would believe that Jordan would shoot somebody in the back and then lie down next to them covered in blood and still holding the gun and go to sleep? That makes so little sense I don't even know where to begin. Also, it seems to me that if the guy was shot in the back he shouldn't have been lieing face up on the bed the way he was unless he'd been moved. I don't personally feel Lu had anything to do with it. I think Pollack got on the wrong side of some very bad people who shot him and framed Jordan simply because she was there.

I am glad Lily and Bug got together, but I feel sorry for poor Jeffie get dumped at the altar. Oh well, at least his mother will be happy ;).

I've been watching this show ever since the beginning, and wow am I excited! Finally Lily realized what had been staring her in the face for a long, long time. I'm really worried about Jordan, though. Isn't it time for you to go after her? And when are we going to see you get married? :D

To those who say that everyone should have been off the case, perhaps our guys were on the case because there was nobody else around to handle it.

So they'll bring someone in from the outside. What you've got here is a blessing for the defense. When they find whoever's actually at the root of the murders, it'll be easy as all-get-out to cry 'tainted evidence' since everyone on the case has a vested interest in the outcome.

Woody was trying to get Jordan off. He knew the answer he was going for, he was just trying to get there. And that's not what you're supposed to do. Especially when you're doing it because you know she wouldn't do something like that.

I guess that bringing in someone else would be standard procedure in a situation like this. However, nobody thought of doing it..and no one thought of taking Lu off the case either , which would be logical considering her feelings for Woody and her connections to the Boston morgue should have created a 'conflict of interest' which would hurt the case. Since both Lu and the morgue staff are potentially biased in either direction, they both should have been off the case because of the conflict of interest.

Exactly. Whichever way it goes, they've got opinions that are going to colour their judgement. Not the sort of thing you want to deal with in a murder case - who wants the killer to get off just because the defense can claim conflict of interest?

Personally, I'm going to lump this in with other inaccuracies, like DNA testing taking seconds and cases solved in hours, and morgue staff interviewing suspects - and pretty much everything else about the show - and just say that Boston is a magical place where things like this actually happen.

Hm, I see I'm not the only Mary in here lol. I agree that they should all have been off the case, but hey it's television. I still don't understand why nobody questioned why anyone, sane or insane, would shoot somebody and then lie down next to them still covered and blood and holding the gun and go to sleep. That makes no sense to me at all. And I still don't think that Pollack could have been shot in the back and ended up face up in that position. I think somebody moved him after he was killed.

Now Nige, I really think that since Lily and Bug are finally together that you need to find a special someone for yourself. Also, I'm not sure how much you can do about getting those two thick headed people Jordan and Woody together, but please do what you can lol.

Too many people feeling sorry for Jeffrey, they should have never put him and Lily together in the first place. He was a dork . I've thought Lily was a babe since day one. One of my fav episodes was when Lily was snacking on popcorn and asked Woody if he would sleep with her, and ofcourse this season when they started the show with her in tights jogging with Jordan.

Ok I have just ONE question. How come it takes someone's death to bring about change? Not just with the show but it seems with just about anything and everything worthwhile. Case in point: Pollack's dead now giving Woody a chance to pick up where he and Jordan stopped when Pollack showed up to start with. Well to be honest it doesnt matter a whole lot to me who she wound up with simply because I can see her being quite content with either one of them. As far as Pollack's murder, Im not worried for her simply because nothing is as it seems in this show and without Jordan, there would BE no show so she wont be leaving. At least I highly doubt it. With respect to Bug and Lilly, just because she leaves Jeffrey at the last moment doesnt necessarily mean she doesn't have a good heart. It simply means she's human and (right now at least) has an indecisive heart. She's still very much a great person. I have all the confidence in the world that Jeffrey will find someone reasonably soon or she will find him. The same will happen with Lu. The only thing that still bothers me and quite frankly always has, is what about poor Macy? Im not so sure love will fall in his lap and if it does it wont do so easily I dont believe. Then again Ill be the first one to say I hope Im wrong. But in any case, we will obviously see. Time will tell.

I've been a loyal viewer of CJ for ages, watching on NBC and reruns on A&E. I love the show and have been avidly searching for DVD's of the earlier seasons. When will they be out in stores??? I've been telling everyone I know to watch for them - I want them for Birthday, Mother's day, Christmas etc. I hope NBC comes out with them soon.

By the way, thrilled that Woody dumped Lu, glad Lilly finally woke up to realize Bug was the one, Blown away to find out that 'Jeffrey' is really Kathryn Hahn's hubby, Irritated that Jordan pitched her cell phone - did she just loose like a zillion IQ points - hard to call for help w/out the cell ---sorry that was just way beyond stupid. Oh and if NBC ever decides to fix YOU up w/ say a new Medical Examiner - Hey I'll volunteer (free of charge!) :) I hope YOU get a really wonderful woman YOU deserve some long term true love instead of just the quick fixes YOU had in the past.

For those in CJ withdrawl --- try watching the re-runs on A & E (its way better than no CJ at all!). Last night I actually saw one I had never seen before - where Macy's old college chum wrote a novel w/ Macy in it and Lily asked Nige to pretend to be her fiance in order to keep her mom from moving in. *Not for any who missed it - Nige said no, but Bug gladly stepped in and for all her mom's faults, after words w/ Bug, Lily's Mom knew that Bug loved her & told her she was lucky to have him. For a change her mom did know best (for a short time any way). So re-run or not the ones on A&E are worth watching and remembering - 10 pm central time M-Th (usually). Once in a while they even do a marathon! Wish we could get them to do one from the beginning straight through in order - That would be sweet.

Jul, I've followed your suggestion on requesting that DVD's of CJ be released. Has ANY season been produced yet? It was my understanding that the use of the needle drop music in the shows, while a lovley conceit, has produced massive copywrite issues when it comes to the DVD production. Anyone know if there is any truth in that?

Does anyone know if the Lu character's contract goes into the next season? She needs to be killed off (can we make an anti-Lu petition?). As far as I can find there haven't been any DVD's released yet. If the music has created a copy write issue - then I suggest they simply mute the music and give us CJ w/out the music! I want CJ & specifically Nigel - I really could care less about the background music or title music either one - so far the only songs I've liked were 'I think we're alone now' & 'I'm so tired of waiting, tired of waiting for you...'

Ok taking Annie's advice, I googled "Amazon Crossing Jordan DVD" and this is what I found:

You can click on the first thing that comes up which takes you to a screen where you can type in your email to request a CJ DVD and if they EVER release them - you'll get an email letting you know. I put in every email address I have access to. If everyone on this blog does this - think of how many votes that is toward getting CJ on DVD - finally! So far there are only 20 on the request/comment list on Amazon. Come on lets give NBC & Amazon so many requests they HAVE to give us our CJ DVD's!

Beyond the Amazon site it also came up w/ Ebay auctions where you can buy a few Emmy DVD's which just have 1 episode of CJ they want $5 - $12 plus s&h!

Bug and Lily has been a couple in the making. I still remember (thanks to reruns on A&E) when Lily was willing to marry Nigel to help him out. One thing that I did not see in the cast bios for Steve is the work he does for animals. Nigel is my favorite charater in the show due to the work the real man has done with not just his acting but also giving back to mother nature. As for crazy cats....mine would beat yours...lol. Nigel is my kind of guy...is there any in real life?

I can't wait for the new season. A& E changed the time on re-runs so now I don't get to even watch them! I have to settle for my taped episodes. I hate to hear that someone will die. Nigel, I am so excited about the new season. Can't wait to see how the new relationship is going for Bug and Lily. Poor Jordan. I doubt she killed her ex-boyfriend but I do love the mystery. Also, love you, darling. Nigel, you are the very best.

I just read something on TV Guide.com saying that "Crossing Jordan" will not start on Friday, Oct 20th as previously planned, so that NBC can put on another game show called "1 vs. 100"(like we need another game show). They said that the show(CJ) will be on at a later date. I just wish that NBC would quit beating around the bush with the faithful viewers of "CJ" and air it. First, it was going to be delayed because of the NFL(so they moved the premiere to a different date and time), now it's going to be delayed again, because of another game show. All the other shows are starting to come back with their season premieres. This is what I found on TV Guide.com:

Well, this is just swell. The show I have been waiting for MONTHS to watch (reruns only do so much) and have been adjusting my schedule to watch is now postponed (please God do not say cancelled). Don't worry, CJ didn't air last night. NBC has put CJ on the shelf for now, so they can show another new game show. And NBC doesn't know when CJ will be back on for now(which irritates me) via TVGuide.com. I did email NBC about my displeasure in it though. Thank goodness for A&E, they are still running CJ reruns.

I'm so ticked. I just spent 20 minutes trying to email NBC about this whole deal. Their email won't accept it for some reason. After the CJ spot wouldn't work, I even tried emailing under that stupid 1 & 100 thing instead. It wouldn't take the email either. Ugh!

Attention NBC, from loyal viewers of Crossing Jordan,

I have to say I am very upset about the situation regarding the return of Crossing Jordan.
Since Will & Grace went off the air, CJ was the only show left on NBC worth watching. If it does not return, my entire household will boycott NBC entirely - as will many other of CJ's loyal fans. Fortunately for us CJ fans, A&E at least has re-runs which are 100 times better than the ridiculous game/reality show garbage that you keep putting out.

Honestly, the last thing NBC or any other channel needs is another game/reality show. I realize you have a lot of idiots who watch them, but how about shows like CJ for those of us with brains!?!?!?

I cut and pasted the following blog posts from Nigelblog.com. If you at NBC don't actually read Nigelblog, I hope you'll at least read this. The posts all indicate a great desire to have CJ return to NBC a.s.a.p., and some like myself are prepared to boycott NBC if something isn't done soon.

NBC Goes Off Script

As Part of a plan to pare $750 million in expenses, NBC announed it will no longer schedule pricey scripted sitcoms and dramas in its 8pm time periods when fewer viewers are watching. The network likely will fill the hour with game shows and reality programs that are cheaper to produce.

I really wish/hope that NBC stops clowning around and puts CJ back on the air, somewhere in their line-up(I thought that CJ starting, in front of Las Vegas on Friday nights would have been a great move, since the two drama shows have paired up in the past), Jordan doesn't need to be stuck in DC, she needs to find the ones behind the killings and get back to Boston and the ME's office, where she belongs.

Well, I finally got through on my email to NBC. Actually they responded back to each of the 4 attempts I had made. I wonder why they can't figure out that no one was watching at 8 pm because they didn't have anything good on! If they'd have put CJ on like we hoped, they'd have had plenty of viewers in that timeslot.

In the long run, their attempt to save $ is going to cost them viewers & $. We need to find out what companies have commercial timeslots during the time CJ was meant to be on - then email or snail mail them - letting them know that they are missing out on viewers / consumers because of NBC's actions. In my issue of TV Guide(Nov13-19, 2006), on page 9 under the heading "Ask Matt" a viewer of CJ asked why CJ wasn't on when it was suppose to be(Oct 20). The reply was because of NBC decided to try 1 vs 100 on Fridays, it put CJ on hold until mid-season. No date yet. Ok, now we have something to shoot for, I still don't like the waiting game.

I was just on the NBC website (I am boycotting their programming, however, I do check the website daily for news on CJ!) Although there is no news of CJ returning, the November 17th episode of Las Vegas is supposed to be the crossover LV/CJ episode. IF NBC decides to keep this Vegas episode on schedule, at least we'll get a bit of new CJ action until NBC decides it's had enough of our boycotting and emails and finally brings our show back!
