Hello all. Nigel here.

The morgue is incredibly busy due to a multi-car pile up on Storrow Drive.  We're up to our elbows in decedents.  I only have time for a quick update about the Boston Police Department's developments regarding the Beacon Hill murders.

Due to the arrest of Danny Gould for DUI on 3-02-05 and the subsequent retrieval of an unregistered 9mm handgun found in his glove compartment, yours truly ran extensive lab analysis of the bullets from the 9mm and the bullets found at crime scenes of Clotilde Eames, Leigh Chasa and in the body of Dr. Amy Tropos.

I was assisted by my esteemed colleague, Dr. Jordan Cavanaugh, who continues to parcel out her expertise in exchange for my favors.   This time - I've got to schlep crispy beef to the queen from Yang Chow's during her night shift for the next TWO WEEKS.  Sadly, this sacrifice on my part yielded only that the 9mm gun found in Danny Gould's car was not a ballistics match to the bullets that killed the three victims.

On the bright side, Jordan and I did a segmental hair analysis of a strand of hair (not from the victim) found on Dr. Amy Tropos' coat.  We discovered something that tickled our sleuth bones.  Tox screen results on the hair strand revealed morphine sulfate ingestion over a two month period.  Coincidentally, one of the painkillers Dr. Derek Douglas, husband of Dr. Amy Tropos, tested positive for before he was relieved of his duties at Boston General Hospital was morphine sulfate.

With any luck, the authorities will find Dr. Douglas soon.  He's got some 'splaining to do. We've all seen how passion can turn to rage.  Perhaps that's why Dr. Douglas killed his wife?  But what would his motive be to kill Clotilde Eames and Leigh Chasa?  I wonder if -  Uh oh, duty calls and it sounds a lot like Dr. Macy.  Later.
