Exciting news!

One of our online detectives - Mike D. from Upstate New York has helped find one of the suspects in the Beacon Hill murders.  Mike D. alerted the Boston Police Department when he recognized Luis Fuente, from a suspect photo on the Nigelblog.com website, while he worked out at a gym.  Further investigation by local authorities, resulted in the arrest and charge of Luis Fuente for grand theft auto in Syracuse, New York.  Mr. Fuente is en route back to the Boston area via police transport.    Now for the latest news.

BPD received an anonymous tip that Professor Cowley's relationship with Clotilde Eames, his part-time research assistant, wasn't purely about textbooks and grades.  A detective interviewed Professor Putnam Cowley, a member of the Classical Studies Department at Finchley College, as he attempted to water the many ferns in his home. The detective noted Professor Cowley was having difficulty navigating his townhouse in his wheelchair, which he has used for the past few years.

Professor Cowley apologized to the BPD for his lie of omission regarding the extent of his relationship with Clotide Eames.  However, he claimed, it was this type of smutty little rumor about Ms. Eames that he had attempted to avoid.   The Professor admitted that Clotilde Eames spent a couple of nights in his apartment.  She helped nurse him through the evenings, gave him his medications, and often slept on the sofa while he remained in his bed due to the intense pain he experienced from his cancer.  The Professor further explained that his pain was due to metastatic disease that stemmed from lung cancer.  His doctors confirmed that Professor Cowley was in extreme pain and that his disease had spread to his brain and bones.

The Professor said that he and the young graduate student were not romantically involved in any way.  He considered Ms. Eames "a remarkable woman of great kindness."  In fact, Professor Cowley believed that her generous spirit was integrally related to his improved feelings of health.  He continued that the loss of her friendship had a profound impact upon his life.  The Professor remained deeply troubled that this new information would tarnish the reputation of Clotilde Eames - a true good Samaritan.

Based upon statements from Professor Cowley's doctors that substantiated his failing health in 2002, BPD detectives have turned the focus of the investigation on Luis Fuente and the other suspects.  In other news, Viola Krakowski, when re-interviewed about her original statement, had no memory of ever speaking to the police.

Keep up the good work every one.  Our combined efforts are beginning to set this once cold case on fire!
