This morning I was listening to the radio and since 97.1 decided to change it's format by getting rid of the best morning talk show host, Adam "Ace" Carolla, and replace him (along with the rest of the station) with much needed pop music, I enjoyed some oldies but goodies. As I was listening to "Take A Letter, Maria," I realized that you don't hear any new songs about people writing letters or even about Operators - i.e. Jim Croce or The Grateful Dead or Smooth Operator. Those subjects are obsolete in 2009 and it's almost nerdy to write a song with the current equivalent. You're not gonna hear a song by Justin Timberlake where he dictates an email for his secretary to send to his "wife," stating that he is leaving her. Maybe he can do a duet with Alicia Keyes and they can call it, "Compose An Email, Alicia" ...don't forget to CC your lawyer JT.

I was going to use Chris Brown instead of JT, but I don't think there's gonna be a quick Internet connection where CB is going. Do you think one day, they'll change the one phone call rule in prison to a one text or one email? So, maybe if you know some criminals, you'll get a random text like, hey what's up? nmh. in prison :( NOT LMAO. That would suck if you had a bad connection at that prison and couldn't send it out. I think I'd be alright (despite the fact that I'd be in prison) but I've got the Verizon Network and by alright I don't mean with my service, I mean I would have a posse of Verizon workers behind me and the "can you hear me now" guy, so I'm sure we could take on the guards and start a riot, or at least I can send around a hat and collect bail money.

As I'm writing this rant I can't help but think that Linda is going to use "Take a Letter, Maria" and turn into a Deal or No Deal song. Like, "Take a Deal, Mandel" or "Make it low, Tameka." I know I'm just increasing the odds of this parody by talking about it, but if Vegas had a line on whether or not she was going to do it, I would put all my money on that she would and I would parlay it with her doing a mnemonic device, Dawn to count her days and black, because if I learned anything from Wesley Snipes it's to pay my taxes and always bet on black.

I have to think about this. I think my eyes are playing tricks on me.

Well Nick you are back and probably opened up a can of worms with your suggestion for Linda. She does have a creative mind and sometimes I wonder how much time she has on her hands! Linda you are the best....

I want you to know Nick that I too have a very creative mind and I have a song that I plan on singing to the banker when I push the button and say "Deal". Its a polka song (surprise, surprise). I planned the whole polka show for you guys also and my peeps at work are always asking if you are going to ever call me to be on the show. They know I patiently wait.

I'm waiting for the prime time show to come back, it was the best. I'm sure you've had plenty of time off since only two models are on the day time show. I personally don't like that version as much, not as much creativity goes into it, and I like creativity. Themed shows are my best and thats why I have the best themed show you have had planned. You need some good ole' fashioned polka fun, with my dancing and Howie in Lederhosen. I think he would be so cute in them!

Well I will continue waiting for the call...and hope that Howie is enjoying my polka tape I left for him at my audition in Minneapolis. Its been over a year....CALL SOON!

Nick's back! Yayyyyyyyy!!!!! And "Deal or No Deal" is back on NBC in May! Double Yayyyyyy!!!!! I was actually inspired by some of the other bloggers to write a poem not long ago. Unfortunately, since I don't access the Internet from home, I don't have it with me right now. I'll try and post it before the end of the week.

I just thought of an idea for the syndicated "Deal or No Deal"...since they have contestants taking the place of the models, how about inviting the models (including Patricia and Tameka) to play for charity? Claudia is already doing that right now on "Celebrity Apprentice" and the ladies won the first round!!!!! Awright!!!!! Since they have 22 contestants on that show, one of the remaining four models can take the place of a model who has already played. Since Patricia and Tameka handle the Deal Wheel, those duties will go to two primetime standby models. I've already cast my vote for Krissy and Lanisha taking their duties for the week. Each model, regardless of whether they get to play the game, will receive a $10,000 minimum for their charity. How does that sound? And the "switching cases" option should remain intact, regardless of whether the model has her regular case or not. Models 23-26 Aubrie, Kelly, Hayley and Lindsay should take not of that.

It's the return of Nick Greco! I actually have Alltel...but Verizon recently bought Alltel so now I'm part of a network of 80 million people(WOW!!!). Unfortunately, I'm still waiting for that call from the NBC producers to be on DOND...**sigh**. Do I need to have a CRAZY, rambunctious personality to be on Deal or No Deal???? We all need our own stimulus package from NBC!

I watched the 1st episode of "Celebrity Apprentice" with Claudia Jordan. They all had to bake and sell cupcakes to raise funds for charity. The ladies' team won, and one of the comedians on the men's team got fired by Donald Trump. Claudia Jordan is my favorite DOND model because she is the ONLY model that has actually written to me through MySpace. She seems like a very nice person.

Dollydeb, I saw a picture of your grandson...he is absolutely adorable. I noticed that he has the name of an American President--TEDDY Roosevelt. And the term "Teddy Bear" actually came from that American president.

Ahhhhhhh, Spring is in the air : )

Yup, spring is in the air, literally...so much so that the juniper pollen count here in New Mexico is 500(VERY HIGH), and my allergies have erupted again. I sneeze all the time when I go outside and my nose gets all runny. I wish it would rain here in New Mexico to relieve all of us allergy sufferers. The only things I don't like about spring are ALLERGIES.

I've come to realize that NBC may never call me to be a contestant on DOND. And I do feel extremely disappointed about that, because this means that my 1,200+ mile drive to and from Salt Lake City to audition for this show on April 12, 2008 was a terrible waste of time, energy, and money. And it really bothers me that the so-called "DOND casting" account on MySpace also ignores our comments. I'm amazed that so many of you have been waiting for 2 YEARS or more to be on this show...there's something terribly wrong about that.

Yesterday, I watched a re-run of the DOND episode on CNBC in which Sigma Chi, a fraternity from USC, won $128K for charity, for their scholarships, and for their party. Well, my spring break is going to be on March 15-22, and I think it would be a great Spring Break DOND episode if I would be a contestant during this time frame. It would be so much fun!

Dollydeb, speaking of engineering, I hope that all of us can cause the banker a lot of STRESS when the MOMENT is right. This stress has to be under the banker's ultimate tensile strength or else there will be FAILURE. Someone needs to put a lot of PRESSURE on him to raise the offers as high as they can possibly go, because we all need our economic stimulus this year. All of us have a lot of INTERNAL ENERGY(yup, this is a thermodynamics term) to be on this show, and I hope that the DOND casting directors will acknowledge that.

BUMMER!

One of our local TV stations had a "Ask Howie a Question" this week and I sent in a question and it went like this, "Howie have you enjoyed the polka tape I gave you, and do you have your lederhosen ready, Jan the MN Polka Fan.", people started hearing about this and lots of people I know started sending messages to the TV station that said, "When is Jan the MN Polka Fan getting on the show". The TV station emailed me and asked me for a picture and I sent it to them. They were supposed to be on TV last night with Howie and they had technical difficulties with the broadcast so they never put it on TV. The station did tell me that they asked Howie my question.

I was so excited, I thought this might be an in for the show, but not sure if he heard the question because of the connection.

Last night I watched a re-run on CNBC of Katie Henslin's DOND episode. When she got down to 3 cases(2 $1M cases and $200) she was offered $491K(WOW!!). She said, "I feel like that is an unbelievable amount of money. But I think I have the million, I have been feeling it since the beginning.". Lo and behold, she DID have one of the 13 $1M cases after she took the next offer of $449K. And if she would've listened to her husband when he told her to open case 22, she would've been the 1st $1M winner on DOND.

So I learned 2 important lessons from this episode:
1. You should really listen to your loved ones.
2. You should go with your gut instinct.

Hi everyone I am back it was a quick weekend but I enjoyed seeing my family!!!

Hey Linda I did sign up for the twitter thing on the computer it is great to see what everyone is doing but you can only respond if they are following you so I am following 14 people and no one is following me you have to know people to follow and them follow you, I am not real sure about it I am still learning it!!!!

Still counting my days and that means it has been714 days since my interview with Neal and 322 days since my second tryout in OHIO and 250 days since I mailed in a tape !!!!!!

Still determined to be a contestant!!!

I start a new job tomorrow very exciting!!!!!

Hi, Jan! I just saw a photo of you on that CW website. I'm sorry that they didn't get to read your question on air due to technical difficulties with the sound transmission. Here's a question I have for the DOND producers: how much longer will we have to wait to be on this show???? What can I possibly do to convey and project the urgency of my situation?? Where's me pot of gold???

Anyways, I think Howie looks great with a goatee, and I love it when he makes Bobby's voice. I'm also a child of the '90's, and I used to watch "Bobby's World" on Fox Kids every Saturday morning way back in the 1990's. And it would be great if Howie Mandel decided to bring that show back. I'm a little boy at heart.

Thanks Andres and Linda...it was fun just to see that Howie might have gotten a copy of that. I fell over when my picture popped up. I will continue to cross my fingers to get on. I really need it (like so many of us do).

I guess when prime time comes back on, I was thinking a polka theme would be fun. They have had every other kind of music fan on there.

Linda your little movie mixes are very cute, wish I knew how to do that. Sometimes I think you have way too much time on your hands with your creativity hehe.

I keep saying that this is my year. Maybe it will mean I will find the love of my life again, or my money problems will go away, or maybe it means I will get on DOND. Wouldn't it be fun if it was all three. Maybe DOND can do a match game with me to help me find a partner to share my life with. 12 years alone, wow! Never expected that to ever happen. Guess my standards are high (but they are not coming down). I may be almost 58, but I still deserve the best!

Jan, time on my hands, I wish. I am like a cable channel "Linda On Demand". My life belongs to my family. My channel is on 24 hours aday. Being creative in everything you do is like what they say laughter does for your health, it tends to make things better. I bet if I ever am lucky enough to become a Contestant on "Deal Or No Deal" I can make Mr. Banker come out of his shadowed room laughing so hard he'll give me a Million Dollars!!! What ever I do on the blog is done for the love I have for the "Deal Or No Deal" show. It pours out of me like a cup being filled with water. I have been trying since May 2006 when I sent in my first tape to become a Contestant on "Deal Or No Deal", a Casting Call, and sent in copy of the tape again in Aug. 2008. One day I hope we all finally get noticed and are called to be Contestants.

Well your creativity shines through so your health must be wonderful (I hope so anyway). And laughter does make things better.

The blog's fans have become less and less, but look who is still here, waiting and hoping and having faith that we will still get on the show.

I, like you, will keep plugging in there till we are noticed and can go on to victory!

I often tell my friends, family and co-workers, that if I get on they might not want to admit they know me after the show. They all laugh and say, we would be proud to say we know someone that got on the show. I keep practicing the song I re-wrote for the banker, hoping some day that I can sing it and keep in tune, but I guess it doesn't matter, he is stuck in the cube and will have to listen.

Well Nick I hope you have more pull then you say you do, because I need lots of pull to get my wish. (Linda does too)!

Thanks Judy! I actually have always thought I would pick #4 to honor my 4 grandkids. Don't know why, but that number has stuck in my head forever.

My sister and brother-in-law ask me to go with them on vacation (they know I can't afford to go anywhere and knew I needed to get away). So next Friday (we're driving), we are heading to Hilton Head Island South Carolina. They have a time-share down there so other then food, it won't cost me anything. Looking forward to the trip, its been a long time since I went on vacation. So from March 27th-April 6th you may not hear from me at all.

Dawn, I'm glad your new job is going well. Its always nice to get a new job, but can be somewhat stressful because of the change. I'm sure your doing well in your learning.

DollyDeb, I hope your enjoying your grandbaby, they are so precious. My youngest is 9 now so no small grandkids anymore.

I'm turning 58 on April 10th. DOND I could use a really nice birthday present, I bet you can guess what that is! Paying my bills off would be such a treat, then I can spend the years following saving for retirement (8 years isn't going to give me much time to save), but it will be 4 years if I don't pay off my bills. Today is my mom's birthday, but we celebrated it yesterday since we all had to work and go to school today. It has almost been exactly 1 year since I auditioned for this show in Salt Lake City, UT. I will follow the same strategy that all of you have used...I will apply AGAIN to be on this show in the next casting call, wherever it is. I want to send the DOND casting department a clear message that I'm willing to do anything and drive anywhere in America just to be on this show so that I can fulfill my dream of winning an absolute fortune. I need to be on this show URGENTLY and I cannot emphasize that enough.

Dollydeb, if you're having mortgage problems, you should contact a loan modification company. But DO NOT give them an up-front fee unless it's for an attorney and unless you're totally sure that they are legit(that they are registered under the state of Michigan). Visit the Suze Orman website if you have any questions. They should probably reduce your interest rate or your monthly payment if they see that you have good credit. (I've been watching the Suze Orman show a lot, LOL. Her advice is very helpful.) I hope this advice helps you out, Deb.

And now, back to the main subject. Nick Greco, I have some questions for you:
1. Do you have a girlfriend? If so, how long have you been dating her?

3. On the half-hour version of DOND the cases are held, opened, and carried by regular people like us bloggers. Linda Caroots, I like opera too! I especially love Carl Orff's Carmina Burana, it was the most intensely-dramatic opera I've ever seen in person. My favorite opera singer is Charlotte Church because she's so talented at such a young age. Have you listened to her voice?? I wish I could sing like that. I need some romance in my life...I've never had a girlfriend. But anyways, that's another story. We men definitely need a lot of work in the romance department, especially me. Today was my dad's birthday, he turned 52. And my mom turned 55 on March 23rd, their birthdays are only about 10 days apart. My parents are definitely getting very close to retirement, which is why I URGENTLY NEED to be on this show. I need the money to help them pay off their mortgage and to give them a really nice cushion for retirement. I want them both to retire early because they are worn to a fiddle string, especially my dad.

Well, Linda, I actually CAN play the violin like that. But right now, I'm working on the Bruch violin concerto in G minor(2 flats)that my music teacher gave me when I graduated from high school. It's considerably harder than Beethoven's Romance in F, but it's also a gorgeous piece of music. Unfortunately, I don't have a video camera. Otherwise, I would record myself playing through it. Judy well I am a phlebotomist which is a person who draws blood. I started doing that about 11 years ago and went into Medical assistant so I have been a certified phlebotomist for along time. I can actually make more money drawing blood from patients than I can being an assistant to a doctor....... either way Iam still with patients and I enjoy the people.. I love the medical field,I love the thought of sick people getting help...

Well Polkafest season is fast approaching! I'm so excited, the only thing that would make me more excited is seeing Howie in Lederhosen and paying my bills off.

Just got back from vacation, remember my sister has a time-share otherwise I couldn't afford to go. Had fun, then came home to MN snow....yuk!

I am crossing my fingers that DOND calls me soon.

Oh, by the way, just recently found myself a guy too. After 12 years of being single, maybe this is my year for a new guy in my life (its been lonely since my husband passed away) and its my year for DOND to call too and to get my bills paid off and for all good things to come my way.

Weather is finally getting warmer up here in the north country....should be in the 50's the next 10 days, its about time!

Yes the guy polkas....and with a lot of sadness I have to tell you he also decided to give up what we had to go trucking. It was my birthday present from him I guess. So I'm not sure he will be coming back. Too bad, we got along very well. But it is what it is. I guess it wasn't meant to be.

It has been exactly 1 year since I drove all the way to Salt Lake City to audition for this show on Claudia Jordan's 35th birthday--April 12, 2008. Today is her 36th birthday. And I even wrote on my application "I drove more than 600 miles from Albuquerque to audition for this show" and I circled it. I feel like I've been lied to, because at the audition they told us, "It will take up to 1 year for us to call you to be on this show". Well, here it is...1 year of waiting. Why would they dare lie to us? It was a huge sacrifice for me to drive hundreds of miles to a city that I've never been to, into a state that I've never visited just to audition for this game show. When will these casting directors come to their senses and realize that I deserve to be on this show? When?

Back in September, when Jessica Robinson won the million, I asked where the show was going after Jessica won the million. I was in no way trying to be negative towards DOND. I was hoping this would be a turning point for the show. But it hasn't worked out that way. Dawn, Yes I sometimes make negative comments about the contestants and the show, but I don't blog rude comments neither do I rip contestants like Mad Mark and Andrew B do.
That's my two cents in the matter.

One day there will be a "Breakthrough" on this blog. "Who Do You Think You Are?" Casting? While Mr. Banker is "The Philanthropist", even though you couldn't tell it by watching him on"Deal Or No Deal"show, Casting you are supposed to be "The Listener" of the people who have been trying for so long to be a Contestant on "Deal Or No Deal" show for example me, Linda Caroots trying since May 2006. Remember "America's Got Talent", and some are right here on Mr. Banker's Blog. Mr. Banker's BFF's are ready to take that "Great American Road Trip" to the DOND stage to be Contestants. Then after we have won our Million $'s, at that time each will be able to say "I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!" I went and had a talk with "Merlin", and he told me of a story that shows Mr. Banker's Bloggers might be the "Meteor" that hits the DOND stage way of a "The Storm". But untill something as great as that happens I am waiting with excitement for "The Jay Leno Show" and " The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien" to come to my TV.

It was a a great show, and a great opening to start with.

This sluggish economy is making it really tough for me to find an engineering job. I've made a decision...I will pursue a Master's degree in mechanical engineering if I can't find a job by the time I graduate on May 16th. I feel very calm and relaxed about my graduation...I know that my life is in God's hands and that I shouldn't be worried about anything because everything is under His control.

I seriously can't stop watching Susan Boyle's videos, she has such a beautiful voice that I'm absolutely certain she will get a recording contract regardless of whether or not she actually wins Britain's Got Talent. If she does win BGT, she will get to meet the Queen of England!! Susan has captured the attention of tens of millions of people worldwide, one of her videos has 51 MILLION views!!! And it's only been a few weeks!!

How about you ladies? If any of you have any musical talents, you should make videos of them. You could probably get millions of views too! I believe that everyone has a talent, you can't say, "Well, I can't do anything".

Yes, Linda, I've seen many other people other than Susan Boyle. I liked Paul Potts' performance of "Tristesse" in an Australian shopping mall, and I really enjoy watching little Connie Talbot too! She's so adorable and she has a pitch-perfect voice. Mostly I watch videos of violinists, cellists, and pianists, because I love that kind of music. Classical music is my favorite.

By the way, I was confused by last night's Prime Time DOND show...the show started with 11 cases already opened, and she had to open 4 more cases for round 3. Did I miss something?? And I don't understand something...how can anyone be afraid of STYROFOAM? That's the most unusual phobia I've ever heard.

Andres, my grand daughter that is 16 panics when she sees a box of lucky charms....can't figure it out!

I'm not scared of much even like storms and bugs!

I keep hoping to get on the show, haven't totally given up just getting frustrated with my expenses and hope that the money tree will bloom in my back yard. I'm such a dreamer! But sometimes dreams are what keep you going. I was just frustrated when it said all the shows were already taped for this spring season.

Good luck every one and I'm hoping 2009 is our year to have all good things happen.

My granddaughter says its the leprechaun's on the box....I asked her if she believes in them and she said they are just creepy to look at, my grandson likes them, but they can't have the box in the house.

I don't mind snakes, I used to collect them when I was really young, mom used to get so mad at me. I used to collect all kinds of bugs too. I guess that is why I still am so interested in nature to this day. Spend hours in the woods by me exploring and enjoying nature.

I'm not even scared of the big-bad-banker on DOND, I actually would love to go head to head with him. I really think I would win...hehe. He works in a box for pete's sake, he can't be too knowledgeable about life itself.

I'm flying to Chicago Friday to be with my daughter's family. They sent me a round trip airfare for mother's day. Her and I will be walking in the Walk to Empower breast cancer walk in downtown Chicago on mother's day in honor of a family we know that has had breast cancer in over 3 generations. It will be pretty amazing. I hear there are 25,000 walkers involved in this walk. I'm looking forward to seeing the grandkids and spending 5 days with them.

Jan, I think the best thing to do about our fears is to face them directly. The Bible says that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. I faced my fear of snakes when we went to Gatorland in 2007. I actually had a live snake placed around my neck and you can see that photo by clicking on my name tag. I love animals too...when I've gone bike riding I've seen rabbits, squirrels, ducks, geese, elephants, and polar bears(there's a trail that goes near my local zoo). I would love to join you in that breast-cancer awareness walk of yours...is this a national event?

I have not faced my fear of heights yet, but I want to go skydiving to face it but I don't know when that's going to happen. And even though I live in New Mexico, I've never been on a hot-air balloon because it's VERY expensive to get on 1 of those! Linda, you're so silly! I'm actually afraid of huge altitude changes...I'm talking about HUNDREDS of feet in the air. Like when you're standing on the 24th floor of a high-rise skyscraper and you look down...ooooooohhhh. I remember that Katie Henslin's husband was also afraid of heights, but he was worse than me because Katie said that he was even afraid of getting up on a ladder!

Dawn has your son ever seen the movie that has a Leprechaun keeping some people trapped in a house, and they throw shoes at him because he has to stop and shine and fix them? It's scary and laughable at times. Now the only nome I like is "David the Nome". It was a cartoon on TV, and I watched it with my girls. Yes, I like cartoons. : )

Linda it is funny that you said that my grand daughter thinks of me as her lucky charm. When my husband died she gave me a teddybear with lucky four leaf clovers all over it and said to always look at it for good luck and happiness. She was such a smart little girl, she was just a little over 4 when he passed away.

I have great grandkids and great kids!

I will not be on line now till probably next Wed., since I will be in chicago.

Andres, wish you could walk in the event. The program is national, and really is a great program. They have this walk in Atlanta, Cleveland, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, Phoenix, Sacramento, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, Tulso and DC. Its called the Walk to Empower!

Linda, I think I understand what you mean...I used to be a little afraid of drowning until I actually got into a swimming pool. As long as there's air inside your lungs you should FLOAT, it's simple physics...water is about 1,000 times more dense than air. I've gone swimming a few times at my local swimming pool here on campus, and I think the trick is to keep your head parallel to the floor and use your arms like oars to propel yourself through the water. I only know the basic stroke, I'm not an expert swimmer.

Dawn I lived in Arkansas since I was 8. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else, I spent 2 years in the Navy and I got to see enough of this cold cruel world to know that Arkansas is the best state I have ever lived in. My post was meant to be laughed at, I am crippled from chronic osteo arthritis and comedy helps me deal with the emmense pain of my disease. Tonights its back on new 1 hour show!!!!

Dawn, I never take offense to what people say. I am so use to people thinking I am serious even when I am joking. I have one of those faces that people just automatically start thinking bad things about. I have even scared bikers before when I was working sound for a local band. I was simply stating facts, that I really do love living in Arkansas despite what most people think about our state. The people here are so friendly, respectful, and generous. Don't think you offended me is the simple truth, I am only offended by the people that treat me with total disrespect. I had enough of that when I was growing up. Yes, I do have a very big mouth at times, and I probably do say things that people seem to take the wrong way. I forget that not everyone in America has been exposed to my way of life. My father was crippled at the age of 33, from chronic degenerative Rhuematoid Arthrits. I learned so much about living with a sense of humor from him, because it is just our way of dealing with pain that would make normal people actually commit suicide. Suicide goes against everything I believe in and accept as right. Yes I do have strong religous ties in my blood. Thanks for apologizing even though you said nothing wrong. You sound like a very sweet lady, and maybe some day we will get to meet in person and you can see just how I manage to make people think I am as crazy as they get lol. I love to make people laugh, the only exception to that rule is when joking about religion, that is when I get dead serious.

One day there will be a "Breakthrough" on this blog. "Who Do You Think You Are?" Casting? While Mr. Banker is "The Philanthropist", even though you couldn't tell it by watching him on"Deal Or No Deal"show, Casting you are supposed to be "The Listener" of the people who have been trying for so long to be a Contestant on "Deal Or No Deal" show for example me, Linda Caroots trying since May 2006. Remember "America's Got Talent", and some are right here on Mr. Banker's Blog. Mr. Banker's BFF's are ready to take that "Great American Road Trip" to the DOND stage to be Contestants. Then after we have won our Million $'s, at that time each will be able to say "I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!" I went and had a talk with "Merlin", and he told me of a story that shows Mr. Banker's Bloggers might be the "Meteor" that hits the DOND stage way of a "The Storm". But until something as great as that happens I am waiting with excitement for "The Jay Leno Show" and " The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien" to come to my TV.

I saw the finale of the Biggest Loser last night, and I'm absolutely impressed that many of these people each lost more than 100 pounds!! It goes to show you that God has given all of us the willpower to accomplish anything that we want to, and that nothing is impossible when we have the right people to help us. I'm so glad and thankful that I've never been that heavy, even though I do have a little belly flab around my waist. I guess you could say I'm a "husky" guy. Seeing all these people lose so much weight has motivated me to go back to the gym, and as a matter of fact I'm going to work out today as soon as I get off this computer...

Sorry I have been missing all the action here. I had a funeral to go to in Wichita, Kansas on Saturday. We buried one of my favorite aunts. Yes, Andres, I am very much a Christian wannabe. I don't read the bible as much as I should. No, I have not applied to be a contestant on DOND, I would never have the money to travel to the show because I am crippled from chronic arthritis and I am drawing disability. I do love GOD, I just can't stand churches that make people think they can get to Heaven even when they continue to sin. The bible is very clear about what GOD wants to me, I learned most of what I know by reading it and taking it at face value, instead of believing all the hocus pocus that so many churches want you to believe. I can only pray that I can stop myself from sinning in time to make it to Heaven. I did add you as a friend to my myspace page. If I ever did manage to get to the show, I feel like I could have the audience falling off their seats with laughter. Just imagine since I am from the hills I would probably have the ladies all thinking they just stepped into a scene from "Deliverance" with my joke about a shotgun wedding for me and all 26 models lol. Of course it would all have to be just for fun, since all the models are too young for a 50 year old fart like me. I have even given thought to doing a charity show if I ever do get that far. I could just see it now, sending the million $$ to a worthy cause like "The Childrens Miracle Network" and "Saint Jude's Research Hospital." I am sure they could use a million $$. I would never want the money for myself because I have always tried to do what is right by the children of this world.

Thanks, Linda, it was the thrill of a lifetime to be in Italy with my sister. Initially, we had a culture shock...Italy is so different from our wonderful USA. I was so angry that the Euro was so strong against our dollar, it made everything so expensive over there...it's the currency of 12 European countries. It was very hard because we didn't know any Italian, we just used our little Italian dictionaries to order food and to find our way around each city. I hope that some of you will get the chance to visit Italy, you will not be disappointed!

But most importantly, I hope the DOND casting directors will realize that all of us are just as deserving as anyone else to be up there with Howie Mandel winning hundreds of thousands of dollars. I've e-mailed John Quinn and Josh Silberman several times about this, but they just ignored me and I feel angry about that.

Congratulations Andres, I wish you many years of success. I hope that the Navy does give you a job, it would be nice knowing that someone with some brains is working there lol. I do love the Navy, and the time I spent there was quite an adventure. I got to see parts of this world that I would not have seen any other way, and I got a nice paycheck while doing it. I also met some very interesting people, and made some good friends I would like to see some day again. Good Lord willing and the creeks don't rise I will get to see some of those good people in the future.

Linda, I have to hand it to you, you are one determined person. This website has become your very own blog. The last 10 are just you, hehe.

I had to just come on to break the cycle and let the DOND team know that they still have some dedicated fans out there. Ones that would even dance the Polka for them. I too still wait for the call, but as time goes on I wonder??? Have they forgot their most loyal fans, have they not patched into the best way to get someone on the show? What is wrong with them, don't they see it, don't they have any sense of what a fun show it would be with one of us on?

I practice the polka for Howie, I keep practicing my polka song to the banker and yet not one call, not one email, nothing, zilch, noda......

I still say keep those happy feet going, you just never know when we will have someone back on this site from DOND.

I don't know about all of you, but I've found it incredibly difficult to get a job because of this economic crisis...we are not out of the woods just yet...I have been unemployed for more than 4 months now. 2009 is the worst year that I could have chosen to graduate from college. I've considered working for the US Navy, but I'm not sure if I want to go through 6-12 weeks of OCS, boot-camp training. I do appreciate and admire everything that our men and women in uniform do to defend our freedoms on a daily basis, but I'm an ENGINEER not a soldier.

I have found it equally hard to get on this show...I found someone named Scott on the DOND casting website and asked him if his name was Scott ST. JOHN. Turns out he wasn't and I was very disappointed that I can't find anyone to help me get on this show.

I called the phone number for DOND that they put across the screen during the 1/2 hour show this week. So many people called the number, that the recorder was full by the time I got through. However it does say you have to go to Conn. to audition, that gives the rest of the country an unfair advantage, we need to get on the show because we need money, if we fly there and audition, and fly back it would cost so much, how can we get on? Such a frustrating situation for us people like Andres and myself that don't have the money to audition again. What do we do?

Andres, hang in there, its tough right now, but good companies are still looking for good people.

When I'm sitting outside everything I see reminds me of You and "Deal Or No Deal". There is a dark piece of bark shaped like a head peeking through part of the tree that looks like Mr. Banker's shadow. Then as I watch the beautiful birds flying around they are chirping the "DOND" music. The sun is bright like Howie's face. The beautiful flowers look like the Models. And our grass looks like a carpet of money, lets say it looks like a Million Dollars! So I guess you could say it's like a "Deal Or No Deal" day!!!

I would love to see your Italy pictures, but I don't have a myspace. Can you send then to my e-mail? I know what you mean about the Sistine Chapel in Rome, absolutely breath taking! But I did get pictures of it. My movie camera doesn't require a light. I love to watch those movies. I also did it at the La Scala Opera House in Milan, where you weren't supposed to take pictures. One of my favorite things were the tallest windows in my hotel room in Venice. I walked into the room and walked straigt to them and threw the humongous shutters open and leaned out the window like I have seen done in movies. Ha Ha
In Verona I stood on Juliet's balcony and looked down and said "O Romeo, Remeo, wherefore art thou Romeo?, this nice man in the crowd below said "Here I am but I be dam if climb up that far. Everyone had a good laugh. The scariest thing was going through that little hole in the Blue Grotto in Capri. And Florence WOW! Art everywhere, in fact Italy is all a beautiful work of art! I threw a coin in the Trevi Fountain, and I hope to take my daugters their oneday. 8 )
It looks like I made this memory day too.
Sorry to go on an on, but I just love Italy, and think it's worthwhile
trip. I love history.

I'm very disappointed that the casting auditions for Season 5 are in New Jersey!! I just returned from Italy, so now I cannot afford to travel anywhere right now. It's almost like New Mexico is non-existent on the US map...when are Americans going to realize that NM is the 5th-largest American state? Our state capital, Santa Fe, has more art-per-capita than NYC...I was surprised to read that in a travel magazine. We have the International Balloon Fiesta every October, we have the Carlsbad Caverns(which are much more impressive than the caverns in Colorado), we have the White Sands National Monument, we have fantastic weather, and I live in a beautiful mountainous valley. Who needs skyscrapers when you're surrounded by the Sandia mountains like I am? Sandia Crest is at 10,600 feet, much taller than any skyscraper in the world. Maybe DOND should have moved over here to New Mexico, it's one of the most under-rated places in the US. At least the movie industry is getting us on the map...some scenes from "Terminator Salvation" were shot right here in New Mexico.

Linda, I noticed that your poem said "head to head we will butt". I remember DOND contestant Tia Lampone from Season 3...she butted heads with Howie but I really don't think he appreciated that very much. Eventually, he had to wear a helmet, LOL. I do like the idea of being a DOND warrior, though. Speaking of warriors, when I saw the Roman Colosseum in person I could almost visualize 2 gladiators engaged in a brutal battle.

I was very disappointed to find out that the DOND audition in New Jersey on June 27th is only for the $500K, half-hour version!! I would be thrilled to win that much money, but I want to play for the MILLION!!

Andres, it's just away of saying going head to head, mind to mind, different strategies used by 2 different people. I didn't mean hit heads. Ha Ha And I thought that was totally uncalled for by Tia Lampone, and Howie should have refused, he could have seriously hurt himself, but that is our Howie ready to make the
Contestant happy. Howie is so delightful. 8 )

Well, speaking of warriors, last night I saw that new Transformers movie! It was AWESOME!! If you're looking for an action-packed film, with some comedy and even a little romance, this is the one!! Where Oh Where Can They Be
Because they sure aren't here for Mr. B!!! and "Nick's Blog" too!

Linda Caroots has lost her Bloggin Friends
And can't tell where to find them
Leave them alone,
And they'll come to their bloggin home
Holding their Computer Keyboards behind them

Linda Caroots fell fast asleep
And dreamt she heard them typing
But when she awoke,
She found it a joke
For they were all still hideing

Then up she took her hand to type
Determined for to find them
She found nothing of them indeed,

For they'd left all their keyboards behind them!
