A Few Good Responses

Marsha- you're scaring me. You're telling me that you know the "real" Santa Claus? Come on! We all know Santa would never live in Colorado. I've been there and everybody is active, whether it's snowboarding, mountain biking, white water rafting or power walking. Santa has to hustle in lightening speed one day out of the year, so I'd imagine on his 364 off days, he likes to sit on the couch and be lazy... Therefore he must live in Green Bay... Hey-O. Sorry Josh, and everyone from GB. That joke comes from this Bears fan.

Andres- I thought everyone was here to talk to me? You all are REALLY just here to be on DOND and win money??? Look at this! You made me use 3 question marks! (I'm just messing with you. Did I lay it on too thick?) Like I said last post, the contest isn't real. I had to put up those disclaimers because honestly, how many of you would take it seriously and expect to be on DOND if you won some contest I made up? I would probably be sued and banned from the Blogging Union. Sorry to go "Maverick" on you and all. I'll try to do more "straight talkin" (wink*)

Linda- Glad you are feeling better. To answer your question, I can't say for sure that they would let me hold a case if you were a contestant, but if you request me to be up there during your game, I'm sure the producers would consider it. I don't get back East too often. Flights are too expensive and my schedule is so sporadic that it's tough to find a good time. But, I do get to go home every Christmas. And like I explained above, we aren't really having a reality contest, it was just a joke. And by reality competition I meant like Survivor, Big Brother, Amazing Race and any other show that is killing creative scripted television.

Hang in there LB

Well, Nick, don't get me wrong...the main reason why I visit and post on this website is in the hope of increasing my probability to be on DOND. But I also enjoy your blog, because I enjoy discussing the models with you. Like I said, Claudia is not as mean to me as she is to you, LOL!! Even though CJ is a strong Obama supporter and I'm a strong McCain supporter, we still respect each other and it's been great exchanging e-mails with CJ on MySpace. She's got a beautiful mind and body.

HEY!! I noticed a few subtle political references to McCain and Palin in your comment, Nick! Don't tell me you're an Obama supporter?? Are you willing to have a political, verbal smack-down with me about our Presidential and VP candidates? I have so many great reasons to vote for my 2 mavericks. HOWEVER, I have no intentions of turning this into a political blog, so please e-mail me or something to do this.

Linda Caroots: If you like "Madame Butterfly", I think you would like how Vanessa Mae played it on the violin!! You can look for this video on YouTube. Just type in the keywords "Vanessa Mae Madame Butterfly" and you should get some video results.

Dollydeb: I think Appalachian music is a type of bluegrass music...it has a much more relaxed feeling to it. I personally like how world-renowed cellist Yo-Yo Ma plays it on his cello. Doll, do you like listening to the cello?

Hi Nick
I was surprised that you posted so quickly.

Just so you know I do want to be on the show but I also write to you cause I like your blog and you are always good to answer our questions..

I am still keeping count of the days and I am up to 527 days !!!! Good lordy How long must I wait? It does not matter cause I will continue to blog and write to casting on myspace untill I get my shot on the show!!!

Nick don't get into the political war with Andres something tells me he takes it very seriously and He is a true supporter of Mccain, Nick your my friend that is why I gave you a warnning on the political discussion..
Have a great evening!!!

Yes, Nick:
All of us are impressed with your frequent posting and addressing the bloggers.
Thanks :-)

I'm with both Dawn and Andres-I enjoy your blog because you provide some tasty inside tidbits about the show.

Andres: my nephew played the cello, so yes, I'm a fan-but I guess I'd put that music in the middle of my preference list.

Now, Nick-since you brought up the whole sports issue-what do you think of the cubbies this year? Our Tigers had a terrible season, but Chicago is the same distance, so I can go either way with my support of the teams. (hey, when I lived in Virginia, I always supported Dallas-a BIG rival, just to see the tempers flare. Momma always said I was a trouble maker, gggg)

BTW-Please tell Tameka and Patricia they are doing a fabulous job with the daytime version.
(But hubby still adores Anya-his favorite model)

Hi Nick,

Oh my goodness!!! You spoke to me, WOW!!! If I ever do become a Contestant on DOND I will request you to hold a Money Case among the Beautiful Models if it is allowed.
I know this isn't a real reality contest, duhhhh! I agree with you, some reality shows like (Living Lohan, Keeping Up With The Kardashian, etc.) ruining television.
It has been a blast talking to you. To be acknowledge is a wonderful feeling. Thank Yoo Nick.

Good Morning Nick,

Hows all the regular bloggers this morning? Good I hope!!!

I am still counting my days and lets just say the numbers are getting high...

Anyone have anyother sugestions on what I should do ????? I mailed a tape in July 5 2008.

I email the casting people everyday.

I appreciate any suggestions each of you might have!!!!!

Hi Nick!

See, your popularity continues. Linda, Andres, and Dawn (and all the others yet to blog today) are great folks. I've met two of them in person.

Now for the questions.
Do you plan on posting once a week, twice a week, or more? We'd love some insider info.

Dawn and Linda: keep up with your strategies-I have a feeling they will work for you.

Nick if you DONT believe me then you REALLY NEED to come to colorado and i will take you to THE NORTH POLE and you can see for yourself. Your right SANTA does rush for 1 day out of the year but that doesnt mean that he sits on his butt 364 days out of the year. Here in Colorado we have majical AIR and it gives us all the energy we need. As you know most people that come to visit colorado cant handle the air . they tend to become sick until they adjust to the air. The north pole is only 15 inutes away hiding away in the rocky mountains and ONLY if YOU BELIEVE can you really see it!!!!
Scare or not this is NOT A TRICK OR TREAT this is the REAL DEAL.....

MY DOND GIRLS :
SANTA told me to give you a message........
ALWAYS be good to the contestants as you are and he will take care of you. He tells you nick to take care of these girls because they are santas helpers in their own way. and he loves anyone who helps santa spread the joy and the spirit of giving.
as for MR banker he gets coal this year AGAIN!!

Andres MY FRIEND.
I begg you ............ PLEASE stop posting political points of views on this web page. As I am sure most people can agree this whole campaign is getting totally ready to BE DONE!! I hear it every day every hour and honestly I am tired of it!!
I come to DOND to escape from it !
Soo please stay on the subject at hand . THE GREATEST GAME EVER PLAYED !!!!!!!DEAL OR NO DEAL !!!!!!
Thank you my friend!!

MarshaX3, it looks like someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning, LOL. FYI, I explicitly said, "I have NO intentions of turning this into a political blog, so please e-mail me so that we can discuss this.".

Where's LB?? I want to show her my pictures that I took of that ladybud-shaped, hot-air balloon that I took during this past Saturday at the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. I don't hype when I say that this is an event of epic proportions...people from all over the country and all over the WORLD come to see these awesome balloons paint the New Mexican sky. About 600-700 hot-air balloons are launched every year, so if any of you decide to visit New Mexico in early October, you should definitely attend this event. I strongly recommend it! You will not be disappointed!

Hello Nick,

I know your job is attending to the Models, but you must observe
what goes on with the putting on of DOND show. Do you have any
idea what we are doing wrong? It's like, just when you think you can't
think of anything else to say, because you have said and done everything
that was expected, then it hits you, there's more where that came from,
864 days ago. That's right, there's more where that came from, since May 2006 .
So you invent new ways and still use the old ways to be noticed, for example:
"Banker's Blog", "Nick's Blog", audition tapes, Casting Calls. They say action
speaks louder than words. I had alot of action in my audition tape, and in the
"Casting Call" in Piqua, Ohio, and now I put all my action in to words. The best
of both worlds rolled into one!!! And I call that "LOUD ACTION"!!!

Hi Nick

Hope you all had a wonderful day!!!

Hey Linda I was at the Piqua Ohio Casting call and mine went great too.I made it to he second round than they ask if any of us has been interviewed in the last year I said yes and that was that Pleas tell me your story I would love to hear it,
The tryouts in Piqua oh was so so different than in May of 2007 in Indianapolis!!!

I'm Andres Saenz, and I approve this message:
"In a world overwhelmed by high gas prices, high taxation, high CC debt, and high foreclosures....one man has the power to rescue Americans from their financial desperation. One man asks that life-changing question, "Deal or No Deal". And that man is...HOWIE MANDEL." Even before Howie was the DOND host, I always watched him on "Bobby's World" when I was a little boy. So I'd be thrilled to meet Mr. Mandel someday. I think he's one of the coolest game show hosts ever!!

HI Nick:
Glad your blog is full of new posts and lots of info.

Andres: I would have loved to have seen the balloon show. I attended one in VA years ago, but nothing like the one in your area.

Dawn and Linda-bet you ran into each other and didn't know it.

Nick, do you ever attend casting calls?

dollydoings@aol.com

Posted by:dollydeb | October 09, 2008, 05:51 PM

Dollydeb: Just out of curiosity, how many hot-air balloons did you see in VA years ago? And what sorts of shapes did you see over there in VA? My brother FINALLY fixed our home PC, so I think that I'll finally be able to upload all of my photos from the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta for your viewing pleasure and that of MarshaX3 and Dawn Mays. I hope you like my photos! The last day of this event is this Saturday, October 11. So all of you are welcome to come if you can(especially MarshaX3, my friend to the north in Colorado)--there are HUNDREDS of different balloons to see!! It's really exciting! It will be well worth your trip!! Oh, and what do you mean that Dawn and Linda ran into each other? When and where was that?

Perhaps I should give Howie a souvenir from our Balloon Fiesta when I become a DOND contestant! I think he would really appreciate that! Or I was also thinking of something else to give him, but I don't want anyone to steal my idea, so I won't say it.

DOLLYDEB, MARSHAX3, AND DAWN MAYS: I just uploaded tons and tons of photos(72 photos, to be exact) of the ABQ International Balloon Fiesta for your viewing pleasure!! Believe me, it's almost as good as being there...we waited about 1 hour and a half in traffic just to get into the Balloon Fiesta park!! But it was well worth the wait, to see all of these beautiful, colorful balloons. I hope you enjoy my photos!!! All right, ladies, I hope all of you have a good, restful evening! Let me know what you think about my photos.

Good morning Nick and Nick's fans. Today is a good day-DOND is on.

Andres: I'd love to see the pics of the balloons; where are they?
The balloon fest I saw in '86 only had 20 or so, definitely not as spectacular.

Nick, is there any way you can get the DOND folks to change the page header for this site? It still says DOND returns Aug. 25. Thanks

Posted by:dollydeb | October 10, 2008, 07:55 AM

One of my New Mexico homeys is here!!!!!

Did you know that Albuquerque/Santa Fe kept the "classic" 505 area code and the rest of the state switched to 575? I have folks in Carlsbad and they now live in 575.

Tell your folks in the ABQ to keep it real! I love listening to KKOB when I pick it up at night. And wasn't it cute to see the models coming out introducing Howie instead of the other way around? I'd like to see that more often!

Posted by:Steven Waldie | October 10, 2008, 11:07 AM

Steven Waldie, where do you live? Did you attend this year's Balloon Fiesta? My favorite balloons are the 2 honeybees from Brazil, they are so adorable!(Or at least I've heard that they were from Brazil) BTW, my job involves supporting research in Latin America---we've sent articles to Brazil, Argentina, Venezuela, Colombia, Bolivia, Uruguay, and sometimes, even to Spain. I like this international aspect of my job.

Dollydeb, MarshaX3, Dawn Mays, and Kim Reed: All of the ABQ Balloon Fiesta photos are on my MySpace account, inside my "New Mexico(get your kicks at Route 66!)" photo album. The fastest way to see these pics is by simply clicking on my name tag and logging onto MySpace.

Nick, I hope no one took your challenge seriously, however we all hope and pray that DOND will call us someday....and most of us would do almost anything to get there (thats legal and won't hurt anyone). I offered to kiss a snake and a big frog if I get on and I will let the banker insult me and everything. Do I care he is there to intimidate me and he is getting paid to do so. Well Nick I want to get on the show to heckle the banker back, make fun of his cardboard cutout when he was in Paris (I don't think he went, it was just nice clip art with a cardboard person in front of the art).

Nick you do have a nice job, working with all those cute ladies, must be pretty exciting! Keep the good work up by picking out really cute/nice people.

Hi Nick, and Blogging Friends,

The only Balloons I want to see is the one that will give me a ride to the "Deal Or No deal" stage to be a Contestant. And I too would do anything to be a Contestant!! Why I would even get into a swimming pool!!! I can't swim, so it could only be 6 inches deep. Nick, do you think you could have a couple of DOND's Models stand around the pool to throw me a Money Case as a lifesaver so I will be able to float in case I start to drown?

HI Nick:
I have to admit, I prefer the usual style of dresses worn by the models over last night's episode. Hubby agrees.

Hi Bloggers!

Posted by:dollydeb | October 11, 2008, 08:56 AM

Hey, Dawn-I think we need to create a 12-step support group. Not for US, but for our non-supportive hubbies.
Actually, hubby is okay with my DOND chatter; he merely tunes me out.

Nick, any suggestions? (and please remember, this is a family oriented blog)

Posted by:dollydeb | October 11, 2008, 08:58 AM

Good Afternoon all

Nick last nights show was great!! But that should have been LB on the stage she wanted so badly to have the wedding show!!! I really hope LB gets her shot at the game she would make a great contestant,,

Nick I did cry last night when I watched the episode cause I knew that should have been our LB on there!!! Lets keep the faith for LB and all of us regulars that deserve a shot at a Million Dollars.

Posted by:Dawn Mays 765-730-3130 | October 11, 2008, 03:36 PM

Nick:
Ditto to what Dawn said!

Posted by:dollydeb | October 11, 2008, 04:34 PM

Hmmm...when NBC aired the top 5 audition videos for DOND last night, I thought I was going to see some of you ladies(LB, Dawn Mays, dollydeb, Jan Paquette, MarshaX3, etc.). But I didn't see any of your audition videos...what's up with that??? When are you DOND producers and casting directors going to realize that some of us have been waiting a terribly-long time to be on this show?? LB, Dawn M., Jan, dollydeb, and others come to my mind.

Anyways, Dawn, I'm glad that you enjoyed my photos.

Tomorrow, it'll be exactly 6 months since my DOND audition in Salt Lake City this past April 12, which also happened to be Claudia Jordan's 35th birthday.

I WANT TO SEE SOME OF MY FELLOW DOND BLOGGERS ON THIS SHOW IN THE VERY NEAR FUTURE. CASTING DIRECTORS, ARE YOU READING THIS?

Good morning Nick and Bloggers.

Not much to say, other than I'm glad that for the next couple of weeks at least, I can watch both the daytime and Prime Time version of DOND.

Posted by:dollydeb | October 12, 2008, 09:22 AM

Dollydeb: OF COURSE I'm still ready to battle against the banker! I think the banker is someone who demands respect. Regardless of all his silly pranks to Bevy, Wynnetta, Heather, and Dimitria, I seriously think that you do have to respect someone who is making all of those amazing, life-changing cash offers. I would be THRILLED to win even $250K, so winning $1M would be absolutely incredible!!! And I'm still aiming to win my dream goal of $387,000.

Nick, all of the models looked like PRINCESSES in those bridesmaid dresses!!! They just stole my heart, I've never seen them look so beautiful before. And my heart is still up for grabs, since I'm still a single man, and since I've never had a girlfriend before. I want someone like Aubrie Lemon...beautiful, musically-talented, intelligent, ambitious, and honest.

when ever I am a Contestant on "Deal Or No Deal". Wear a Tuxedo, you will be among those beautiful dressed Models, and have Casting to have a couple of Opera Star's on too!!! WOW! what a show it will be!!! And when I win the MILLION (And I Will) the PARTY is on ME!!!, for You, The Models, My Supporters, Blogging Friends, Casting for finally making the Call for me to be a Contestant, and last but not least, the one actually paying for it, because it is his Money I won, lets hear it for MR. Greetings Nick,

I just posted a funny(well at least I think so) to try and get him to post something new. Do you ever hear anything as to what is holding him up from posting something new? Could it be that he likes being begged? Is he practicing how to deal with the Halloween Trick or Treat Beggers, hence the word BEG.
Mr. Banker's Bloogers (Now don't be jealous)are going to have to go to rehab, because he is a habit that we just can't break. I bet Mr. Banker sneaks and reads your blog to see if his bloggers are sneaking around on him in his absence. It is wonderful blogging with someone that actually answers back. Thank You Nick. Hope to see you soon upon the "Deal Or No Deal" stage.

Good Morning Nick and fellow bloggers:
LB, so glad to see you back and posting. You have definitely been in my thoughts.

Nick, I hope you now realize that ALL of your bloggers are here to stay; no need for a contest (fake or otherwise). Sometimes we post, sometimes we don't, but either way-
we ARE here for you.

LB: I saw 2 ladybug-shaped balloons on Saturday, October 4, when I attended the annual ABQ International Balloon Fiesta with my folks! And when I saw them, I was thinking, "Hmmmm....these are LB's balloons!!". If you have a MySpace account, you could send me a friend request so that you can see all my hot-air balloon photos! It will truly be a darn, doggone shame if the NBC DOND casting directors fail to have you on DOND during this Season. 2 YEARS IS TOO LONG TO WAIT, if you ask me. TOO MUCH TIME HAS GONE BY. I seriously suggest that you get in touch with Quinn and Silberman, as I've mentioned it before.

Hi Nick,

I am not going to say "Hope you are having a nice day", because you being around all that beauty couldn't be anything else but a nice day.
LB, I know more how you feel than anybody else. It has been 2 and 1/2 years (May 2006) since I started trying to be a Contestant on the "Deal Or No Deal" show. Down deep inside I think we all know it will probably never happen, but it doesn't mean we can't dream. We have given Casting, and Producers a wonderful idea of a great DOND
show, "Banker's Bloggers Week". They need to wake up and smell the coffee, or roses, which ever. I can't give up watching it though. I would miss watching the those Contestants that act like their in a daze, or can't take some good advice, and doesn't realize when it is time to stop with a good offer. But then again, I have no idea what pressure they are under upon that stage. I know for a fact, NOTHING could fluster me. I am sure of what I would do, WIN the MILLION!!!!!!

Nick, have you ever seen Mr. Bankers face? Does your wife or girlfriend ever get jealous of you being around all those Beautiful Models?

Well, October is half over so I know they are not going to do the DOND October Polkafest.....well I have other passions too!

Now I figured we can do a Mardi Gras party in February. I also love to Cajun and zydego dancing. I can see all the beads and the Mardi Gras outfits. I have lots of boas, beads, funny socks and funky hats to bring. It would be so fun too. We could have our own Krewe with music and parades, etc. Now I will wait for the DOND staff to put that together!

Waiting patiently, going broker and need your help soon!

Jan (The Krewe club member)

Our MN chapter is called Krewe to Walleye, they just had a dance in MN with a band from Louisiana....was great fun.

My dear JAn < Hang in there
we all need to hang in there
I do believe that we will be called
As soon as the producers figure out they are missing the greatest contestants EVER
Dawn you always know the right thing to say I vote we send you to LA and have you stand at the doors of the producerrs and fight for our right to play!!!

Yes, Yes-ditto to what Marshax3 says.

Nick, are you going to post a blog this week since there is no episode of DOND-frankly, I'd much rather watch DOND than another debate.

Posted by:dollydeb | October 15, 2008, 11:25 AM

"...We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all DOND bloggers are created equal(well, I'm the only man here, so I guess not, lol) that they are endowed by Howie Mandel with certain unalienable rights...that among these rights are life, liberty, and the pursuit of ONE MILLION DOLLARS against the clandestine banker." Maybe we should all go to Culver City, CA, and demand that the DOND casting directors give all of us a chance to play DOND during this 4th Season, especially all of you that have been patiently and anxiously waiting for 1-2 years. Or maybe we can kidnap the banker, he's used to being in the shadows anyway.

Well I am hanging in there, but my finances are getting worse, every month I go farther in debt (hard to catch up after you get behind).

I love music so much, and they have had about every type of music fan on there but polka and cajun, so I just think it would be so cool. I would love now to throw into the audiance the beads and see purple boas on the models!

You know come to think of it I wouldn't even care if they played break dancing music (not fond of it at all), but if it gets me on the show I wouldn't care!

Have a nice week...and keep those happy feet moving to your own beat!

Hi Nick,

Nick tell me, does everyone of the people on the daytime DOND show get a turn?

Dollydeb, when you think about it watching "Deal Or No Deal" is like watching a debate, Banker vs Contestant.

Jan, I'm with you!!! As long as my feet is dancing on the "Deal Or No Deal" stage, it can be to any tune.

Andres, all DOND bloggers are worthy of a chance.

Marshax3, Ditto!!!

Jan Paquette: I've been watching several Suze Orman shows on CNBC already, and she said that the best things to do right now during this period of economic turmoil are to make sure that you have all of your money in an FDIC-insured bank account or in a CD(NOT in a 401k or Roth IRA, because many Americans have lost TRILLIONS of dollars through their 401k's in the past 8 months or so), save as much money as possible, keep a LOW loan balance on all of your credit cards(30% of your FICO score is determined by your debt-to-credit-limit ratio), and don't panic. I hope this information is useful to you. Visit Suze Orman's website if you need more specific financial advice...I think she's an excellent financial adviser.

Our American economy has been through much worse...if it survived and recovered from the Great Depression of 1929, it can survive anything. Obama's economic plan doesn't make much sense to me, which is one of the reasons why I'm voting for McCain--I think McCain's plan will guide America in the right direction. VOTE FOR MCCAIN AND PALIN ON NOVEMBER 4TH!! Please, don't anyone get all belligerent on me. I just care about my country and want what's best for America, so Obama's plan is NOT the change that I believe in.

HI Nick and fellow bloggers:
We should all follow Dawn's lead-this is a positive blog about DOND and Nick's lovely models.

Besides, even tho there isn't a prime time episode on this week-we still have the daytime shows to watch (that poor lady that played yesterday)-whoops, I'm supposed to be postive-$57 could buy a nice breakfast.

BTW-Nick, has anyone won the half million on the daytime version?

NOW
Nick I know the banker is jealous of you getting lal the prety girls on your side and i know he is pretty unhappy sitting in his cubical all day. i used to sit in one of those and frankly you can get depression form them.... So i suggest you send lucky layla over to him to make nice to him
maybe he needs flowers sent to him for bosses day.

Nick, Nick, Nick,

We wait patiently for you to come back on, don't let the bankers absense rub off on you! I came over to your side because the banker is so negative.

I also agree with MarshaX3, we get enough politics on the TV and radio. I am really tired of it, it gets old after a while.

Well back to Nick and his models, get the mardi gras outfits out, and the beads (lots of them). They should be in green and purple. Wouldn't it be fun and purple is my favorite color. There are a lot of good bands from Louisiana that play Zydeco and Cajun, and the funny part is sometimes you can even polka to some of that music. I get both my fixes in one show.

I'm really drowning in debt and need to get out, Christmas is coming and I'm not sure how I can even make it fun for my grandkids. It would make me sad......

Nick we have bloggers here that lost their jobs and many other good reasons to be on the show, have them call us please. I know I would be forever grateful! There are so many things I would do with the money, like helping my mom, my son, my grandson and pay off my bills so I can start saving for retirement. I only have till 4/10/2017 to get something in savings, right now I have $0. Ouch! I will have to live under a bridge in a box....but I still will have my happy feet!

Have a nice weekend.

MarshaX3, I thought you cared about the Presidential race???? I'm fully aware that this is not a political blog, but I was hoping that all of you would AT LEAST be willing to debate CRUCIAL issues with me...issues such as our economy, our foreign policy, our federal budget, our academic infrastructure, and other important topics. Don't any of you people care about whom our next President will be??? Anyone?? I'll tell you one thing...if Obama wins this election, I might just move back to Mexico and stay over there for the rest of my life. I'm sure that they have a demand for engineers.

Good Moring Nick,
Do I have your vote too? It is chilly this morning, it might because I just left Mr. Banker's Blog. I believe he is giving us the Cold Shoulder probably because he is jealous of you Nick. Face it Nick, you are the other BLOG. Us Bloggers needed attention, and you, yes you Nick filled the void. Mr. Banker might go to the Producers and tell them to take away your blog, because he blames you for "ALIENATION OF AFFECTION" of us Bloggers. Don't worry Nick, us Bloggers will plead the 5th.

Nick, if the Models would have to vote like they do in "Miss America" for "Miss Congeniality", who do you think would win?

Happy Day Bloggers!!!!

Linda Caroots: Why haven't I seen your campaign here in New Mexico? If your economic plan is any better than McCain's or Obama's plans, then you have my vote. And if your foreign-policy plan is better than Obama's, then you have my vote. Since I was born in Chihuahua, MX, I could never become the President of this marvelous country. Whether it be Obama or McCain in the White House, I hope that they will actually fulfill all of their promises to the American people, and that their speeches were not just attention-getting tactics.

Linda Caroots: You're hired! You can start battling the banker ASAP, and be on your way to winning ONE MILLION DOLLARS. "Come on down, you're the next contestant on Deal or No Deal!!". Wrong game show, LOL!

Well, here's my resume to be on DOND:
Name: Andres Saenz
Location: New Mexico(Get your kicks at Route 66!)

Qualifications:
*EXCITED personality!
*Willingness to break the banker's heart by winning $1M on a REGULAR board!!
*musical ability to play my violin for those 26 beautiful girls
*big fan of Howie Mandel
*willingness to relocate anywhere in the 50 American states, or anywhere in the world(for the International DOND versions)

(I voted early today for my 2 mavericks, McCain and Palin, to save myself all the trouble of having to wait in long lines of fellow voters on Nov. 4. I voted for them because I believe that they will resolve our economic crisis by eliminating wasteful government spending, by cutting the corporate tax from 35% to 25% to create more jobs in our economy, by investing in alternative energies to reduce our heavy dependency on foreign oil from Canada and Saudi Arabia, and by strengthening our American dollar. We need those 2 mavericks now more than ever.)

Nick just incase you did not already know you are the favorite , Mr.Banker may have over 400 post but we don't like him as much as you. We know you like us back your kind to answer our questions , You try to keep us up todate on what is going on back stage and with the show,On the other hand Mr.Banker he never answers us he goes on long vacations and to top that all off he insults us calls us names and just really puts us down.

Hi Nick:
Just a few thoughts (one for each day of the week):
1. Hire Linda-for sure.

2. Add Judy as a great comic relief (right now we all could use some laughs)

3. Follow suit with Andres, and vote vote vote vote (well, I don't mean fill the ballot box w/ bogus votes, but you know what I mean)

4. Listen to Dawn's great words of wisdom-by challenging us to see WHOM will remain standing, you have increased the traffic to your blog-a great strategy, I might add.

5. Please don't go the way of Mr. Banker and leave us an entire week without a single word from you.

6. Continue to provide your faithful bloggers with some juicy DOND tidbits of info.

7. Take a peek at the video of "some" of the toys that the local children will receive this holiday-and I haven't even really started my official S.S. shopping yet.

8. (what?) according to the Beatles, there are 8 Days in a Week. Please tell Tameka and Patricia, I love the daytime version of DOND-their personalities add to the show.

:-)

Hello Nick,

Listen to to words of Dollydeb. They are the words spoken by a wise person like Dollydeb. I too Dollydeb, like when the camera shows Tameka and Patricia facial expressions as the Contestants pick there cases. Now Nick, I want to see Dollydeb's facial expressions as she is on her way to winning a Million when she is a Contestant on DOND.
Nick, have you heard from Mr. Banker?

I'm Andres Saenz, and I approve this message: I have several great reasons to NOT vote for Obama...dollydeb and Linda Caroots know what they are(Linda, did you read my most recent e-mail to you?). I will admit that, during the initial stages of this Presidential race, I was leaning towards Obama because his so-called "change we can believe in" slogan attracted me a lot. But after having done my research, I've come to the conclusion that Obama is NOT qualified to be our next Commander in Chief, and I disagree with so many of his political views. I agree with McCain and Palin more than with Obama and Biden.

(Many of my fellow Americans blame everything that's gone wrong with our economy on Bush, as though the USA was some sort of dictatorship under him. Those people forget that we have a 3-branched form of government and that we've had a DEMOCRATIC Congress since 2006. I'd like to point out 2 interesting things about Joe Biden...in 2002, he said that Saddam Hussein posed a threat to our national security and that we had no option but to eliminate that threat, and in 1999 he voted in favor of deregulation of Wall Street. Quite frankly, I believe that our New Mexican governor Bill Richardson has a more impressive resume than Obama and Biden COMBINED...look for Bill Richardson on Wikipedia and you'll see what I mean. It's better to be a REBEL-ican than a Demo-CRAP)

Anyways, let's get back to the main topic of DOND. I saw Leyla Milani, our 13th girl, on the Macy's Passport Celebrity Catwalk Challenge, a fundraiser for AIDS treatments and research. I thought Leyla looked so stunning in that little sapphire-blue cocktail dress...WOW!! That girl is too hot to handle!!! And I love her personality.

In having watched nearly 300 DOND contestants trying to win $1M, I've learned some very important lessons that I think I should share with all of my fellow bloggers to help us win that elusive $1M cash prize should we ever appear on this show:

1. NEVER TAKE THE DEAL IF YOU HAVE A GOOD SAFETY NET. When Tommy Knowlton took the $448K offer, he told Howie, "Howie, I'm crazy, but I'm not stupid. DEAL.". But his largest potential offer was $693K, and he DID have the $1M in his case all along.

2. Silly gimmicks, such as the MDM's, the Deal Wheel, and Winner Takes All, are only designed to increase your odds of winning $1M or more...they do not GUARANTEE that you'll actually win it. These are all just silly marketing ploys, in my opinion.

3. "If you're not sure, take the deal!!"--the boyfriend of Tracee Jones($265K)

4. If there is only 1 amount on your board larger than the offer and if that offer is larger than the average amount, such as when Anteia Greer was offered $402K, you better take that deal!!

5. Sometimes it's best to NOT listen to your parents--after all they are only humans just like the rest of us, and they can make mistakes too. Ryan Rovanpera won $167K, but he could've won over $500K had he not listened to his parents. Notice how HUGE his potential offers became after he pushed the button at $167K.

6. Don't win the PENNY like Heather McKee!!!! I think she made a complete fool of herself on national television, it was one of the most embarrassing moments in game show history because she should've won AT LEAST $100K with all of those $1M cases up there. Her largest offer was $207K.

7. If you're going to play without a safety net, you should have a gut instinct that the largest amount is in your case. Otherwise, "take the money and run!"--DaKenya MacDuffy's mom.

Nick,

I'm surprised that you are not on yet. I hope you haven't picked up the bankers habits. We like to hear from you. Just don't ever pick up the bankers attitude!

Its getting colder here in the northern region of the good ole' USA. They are talking possible snow flurries on Sunday. I'm just not ready for that. Being in California for a few days to play the DOND game would be a real nice break. Plus it would take the stress off my finances. Its getting harder and harder to be excited daily when you live with this financial cloud over your head. I still smile, I still keep my happy feet, but I always have a harder time in the winter. I guess I have to have sun to be the happiest. And so you ask, "Why do you live in Minnesota then?" Well the answer again comes down to money....can't move when your broke and so in debt.

I took a few mental health days off of work (Mon and Tues). It helped but now its back to reality. I just thank God I have a job, even though I still struggle. I thank God I have my health (although my mental health wavers once in a while).

To all you bloggers, I hope you are still using your happy feet. Keep smiling and WHERE ARE YOU NICK??????

I guess I am "My Own Worst Enemy", because I have no enemies, really. To know me is to love me, true.
Why just the other day "Kath & Kim" insisted that I meet them, "Chuck", and also a man that keeps
saying, "My Name Is Earl" ( I figured he just loves his name ), at "30 Rock" to play "Poker After Dark". I had to say no though, because I had a "Dateline" problem. I had to go with my daughters, what I call the "Lipstick Jungle", out on the town in the "Friday Night Lights. Hey that's "Life". They (Laura, Leslie, and Leanne) wanted to do this with "Passions". If I had broken my promise to my daughters they would have been one of "The Biggest Loser: Families", and to me that is one of " America's Toughest Jobs" keeping your promises.
Later on "Crusoe", and the "Knight Rider", who to me are "Kings" among men, went to "Jay Leno's Garage" and picked up a car to take us out to dinner. Sitting next to us at the restaurant was a "Medium". We decided to see what she might have to say to us. She took out her cards and said "Deal Or No Deal"?
She began to talk and said, "These the "Days Of Our Lives" are about to be revealed". One day you the Caroots family will meet your "Heros" of your favorite TV shows. One day you will be called to the "The Office" of NBC, because you won a contest to makes a cameo appearance on "Law & Order", "Law & Order: CI", and "Law & Order: SVU". WOW, Isn't "Life" great!!!! I am wondering what our "Most Outrageous Moments" will be from this experience. With this "Night Gallery" of people in the restaurant was so over whelming, that I felt faint. So on the way to my home on Sesame Street, (STOP LAUGHING!! I know all of you are) we stoped at the "ER" to make sure I was fine. The Doctor said go home, kick off your shoes and relax. Have a good laugh watching "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, "Late Night with Conan O'Brien", and top it off with "Last Call with Carson Daly". With all that's going on with the 2008 Presidential run, "Saturday Night Live" is the show that can really make you double up laughing!!! Boy Oh Boy!!!", "America's Got Talent"!!!!!!!!

Nick Greco and my fellow bloggers: While I love classical music, I was thinking of playing something very unorthodox, very contemporary on my violin for those 26 beautiful women. I want to show them that the violin can ROCK! The following piece was inspired by the 3rd movement from the "Summer" excerpt of Vivaldi's 4 Seasons. The violinist playing it is named Vanessa Mae, who is known for her techno-fusion violin music. Please let me know what you think about it. I can play most of it by myself, but I still have some intonation issues on the E string. Enjoy!!

Hello Nick,
Do you like polka music?
Everyone Dance Now!!!

It's "Deal Or No Deal's" Polka
It's "Deal Or No deal's" Polka
Mr. Banker doesn't get cold
When he's dances the "Deal Or No Deal" Polka
He does a polka
It's Mr. Banker's Polka
Mr. Banker's got to hop
Because he's got to make
A lot of calls to Howie on the DOND stage

He did a "Deal Or No Deal" polka hop
Across the DOND stage and stopped
In front of Linda Caroots with her Million $ in his hand
He saw the winning Money Case 5
Turned round to the Audience and laughed
Let's see, what have I got for these Mr. Banker polka fans
The steps to the Mr. Banker Polka
Hop-step-step to the left
Hop-step-step to the right
Yes, it's the Mr. Banker Polka!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow Linda Caroots, your playing my song! I didn't know we had another Polka fan out there....

Nick, I need brakes on my car (a new car really), but brakes would be good. I want to go see my grandkids on Thanksgiving and can't afford to go (they will be so disappointed) and I don't like disappointing my grandkids. With Christmas around the corner, I hope I can afford to buy them something, I actually would love to take them on a vacation, all of us, having fun. Oh well, being together is what is important!

HOWIE CALL ME .... NICK GET YOUR MODELS READY FOR ME....BANKER COUNT YOUR MONEY TO MAKE SURE THERE REALLY IS A MILLION THERE...and most of all everyone get your happy feet going!

Hello Blogging Buddies, and you to Nick,

Jan, So glad you liked it. I thought of you when I did it. I hope Mr. Banker thought it was a toe tapper. Ha Ha

Jan: Keep your chin up-I have high hopes for you.

Linda: keep those songs coming.

Nick

I must go on record with you and just say the Nurse Ritchie did not play a smart game, What was that man thinking. I just wanted to go though the T.V. and shake him...His last offer from Mr. Banker was enough and with only two cases one case having $1 dollar and the other case having 1 MILLION what are the chances??? Poor fellow that was not a level headed decission.

Now Nick you know I was going to mention the models. I am a Medical Assistant and trust me No Nurses look that good, and thier poor feet!! Now you know what I am going to say, Yes, that is right when I get on the show I want my show THEME to be around comfortable clothes and comfortable shoes BIRKENSTOCK!!! sorry Nick you knew I would bring up my favorite shoe!!!

Hope to hear from you soon,Don't be like that Nasty ole Banker and Post 3 times a year!!lol

Dawn, you couldn't have been more right. Even hubby inched closer to the TV screen at the end-Wow, such an unwise decision.

Talk about risk taking. phewwww.

Nick, you would never have taken such a risk, right?

dollydoings@aol.com

Posted by:dollydeb | October 23, 2008, 08:44 AM

$600,000 and some thousand and he didn't take it. I usually would not critisize someones decision, however that was crazy! I agree, what was he thinking! Well at least he got $10,000.

I WANT TO GET ON THE GAME...the full version. I know that I am a little obsessed by it, but when you are hurting financially you hang on to anything that gives you hope. SO I HOPE AND I HOPE AND I HOPE!!!!!! Not good to use so many explanation points, but I want to make my point.!!!!!!!!!!

It would be fun to get on for a Christmas show and have all the models dressed as Mrs. Santa and Howie in a Santa outfit, course the Banker would have to have the Scrooge outfit on, pretty fitting! Then I could surprise all my family with the best Christmas ever! Right now it won't be so good since grandma can't afford to really do much.

I'm a massage therapist also and I want to do that for extra money, but I can't afford a table. Working for someone else you don't make much, otherwise I would do that. I hate having to do two jobs at 57 but you got to do what you got to do. And I do it with a smile on my face!

Hope your day is sunny and bright (even if its only make believe) and you are dancing to your happy beat.

Morning Nick,
The Models were adorable. Good job as usual.
As for the game last night, it was exciting, but sad at the same time. Richie should have walked away with the over $600,000 offer. But like I told Mr. Banker, it was the fault of those Cackling Hens! His Mommy should have been up there instead of those other 3, then he would have been over $600,000 wealthier. His Supporters weren't thinking of him, but what they could get off of him. I just wish he would have made his important decisions himself like he does in his everyday important job of being a Nurse.
Well, you live and learn. He learned his Supporters couldn't be satisfied. His Mommy was the smart one.
Nick, I posted a little diddy for Mr. Banker. Here it is for you to read.

Well, you can tell by the way I use my TV remote,
I'm a "Deal Or No Deal" woman: don't bother me I will bolt.
TV loud and DOND on, I've loved this show since it's been around
And now it's all right. It's OK. And don't you look the other way.
We have to try to understand the way the DOND game is played, and we can.
And Mr. Bankers effect on Contestants, he's brought tears to many a woman and man.

Whether you're a brother, or whether you're a mother,
You are going to keep the game staying alive as long as you can.
You can feel Mr. Banker breaking down, and everybody shaking, because your on a roll.
Yeah!! I'm keeping my "Deal Or No Deal" game alive, yes I'm staying alive.

Well now, Bankers offers get low and then offers get high,
and that makes me think on what to do so, I really try.
I have my Supporters: Laura, Leslie, and Leanne too, and I'm wearing my lucky shoes.
I'm a "Deal Or No Deal" Woman and I just can't lose.
You know it's all right. It's OK.
That Mr. Banker has to pay.
A MILLION DOLLARS RICHER.
Ah, ha, ha, ha, what a feeling, I feel like dancing on the ceiling!!!.

Hi Nick and fellow bloggers:
Bloggers, do you think tonight is the night? 8 cases, higher odds, but still, I bet DOND execs would give us another heads up on the winner of another million.

Nick-any hints?

Posted by:dollydeb | October 24, 2008, 09:38 AM

Morning Nick,
It's a rainy day here today in my part of Ohio, but yours and Mr. Banker's blog make it a sunshine day at the computer.

Morning to my Blogging Friends too.

Dollydeb, I don't think tonight is a million dollar winner night. No matter if there would be 13 cases holding a Million doesn't mean a thing. That still only a 50/50 chance. there really is no analysis to it. It's just if you have the sense to know when you have hit your plateau.

Morning Nick,
Does the whole "Deal Or No Deal" Gang work on the week end? I thought this is what you wanted tohave a nice big blog. And yet we haven't heard from you. Was it time for you to take your Vacation, did you catch my cold, did you bust your hands fighting Mr. Banker over which one of you has the Best Blog, what? Well anyway, I have to go pry my toes apart because I crossed them to have goo luck. Thought it would make DOND Casting call me. I have been trying so long (since May 2006) to be a Contestant on "Deal Or No Deal". Hope your having a nice day.

The Big Brothers and Big Sisters clubs are so lucky you thought of them. Thanks DOND for caring about the children in need.

I am now giving you some of my reasons to be on the show:

Pay my bills off to take away my stress and to beable to help people again.

Take my one grandson on his first plane ride (the other three have flown)

Get my grandson's dental work done, so he has a pretty smile.

Help my mother...she lives on $625.00 a month, its not fair...plus I would like to take her on one trip where she can have a ball (maybe Vegas), she deserves it before she can't travel anymore.

Take my one grandson to Disneyland (he is the only one that has not been there). Same one that hasn't flown.

I want to help my son get a new car and pay off some of his bills. He took custody of his son not long ago and it has been a hard road for him.

I need a new car soon, or fix the one I have.

I need to pay back people that have helped me during my tough times.

I want to retire without being in poverty.

I need some dental work I can't afford.

I just want to make my families lives better....maybe fill my son's freezer and his pantry so full he doesn't have to worry about food for a year.

I could go on and on, but these are some of the very important things I want to do.

SO DOND.....CALL ME!

Keep your happy feet going everyone, and good luck getting on the show, we all deserve it for our loyalty.

I missed last Friday's show! I thought it came on 8, but it was on at 7. CURSES!!!!!

I just watched a little recap of the episode. Colleen Fowler won $176,000.

I have two questions:
1) Did they play the "Beat the Banker" home game? What case had $10,000?
2) Was there time to play another game before the end of the show? I'm guessing there wasn't.

Hopefully CNBC will repeat the episode unless they're a few episodes behind. Any of y'all have more info about last Friday's show, please let me know.

My fellow bloggers: I think that Nick Greco has been replaced by someone else to be the model PA...that's the best explanation I can find as to why he has been "missing-in-action" on this blog for several weeks now. I just returned from the MAES national engineering conference and career fair in Las Vegas, NV, and I'm very optimistic about having a full-time job with an engineering company when I graduate.

Vegas has some of the world's finest hotels, I was very impressed to see them all while walking down the strip!! And I enjoyed the water-jet show presented by the Bellagio hotel and casino. Even though I enjoyed playing on the slot machines in Vegas, I still prefer DOND over Vegas, because the odds of winning a large sum of money in Vegas are infinitely SMALLER than the odds of winning big on DOND! I will always be a huge fan of this show that has changed people's lives at the push of a button. I think that DOND is the greatest game show ever.

In conclusion, we are only 8 days away from our Presidential election. I hope that all of you will not take your right to vote for granted...it is your voice in government and your responsibility as a US citizen. So go vote NOW!!

DOND....vote for me (to get on the show). My campaign poster would say that I'm caring, honest, a giver, and really care about the people!

VOTE FOR THE MINNESOTA DANCING FAN AND I WILL MAKE THE SHOW ONE YOU WON'T FORGET.

And I will give as much as I can back to the people that need it.
