To Phil...TV vs. Film

If you do series television right, you end up writing a 100-chapter novel for five years. Since I tend not to work with predesigned story arcs, it becomes hopefully it's own little organism. As the directors come in and contribute their sensibilities, the actors make characters their own, the network gives input. Even the most modest success can be seen by so many more people than theatrical films. It's very gratifying. The one other thing that is unique to me maybe is that I enjoy the pace. When you make a film you paint. you contemplate. When you make a television show it's more a stream of consciousness.

thats such a good point. you can go to so many more places with a show rather then a couple of 2 hours movies in which you cant leave anything out of it if you want to attain high ratings.

I ove this show. I was wondering how much of this season is going to be based on the real Alison? How much is enhanced to make it interesting to the viewer?

I really enjoyed the show! You have no idea how happy several of us were when we saw the show was back!! I loved the this episode for all sorts of reasons. Are the episodes based on real stories or are they from your imagination?

I love this show! It's interesting that you create using a "stream of consciousness." That's how I vision a person such as Allison DuBois ... and her ability to find the lost and lost's ability to find her.

It seemed like there were more commercials than usual on tonight's show. Although, the character exploration was very interesting, those breaks made the total two hours of show time less satisfying than a regular one hour show.

Was proportionally more air time devoted to commercials than usual?

I absolutely loved the season premier. Fabulous show. I was so excited to know that the show was appearing again this year. I am very interested in this subject, as I have contacts with a medium and know what can happen. Do you obtain some of your material from a real medium?

I'm from Montreal and I just watched the two hours special of my best TV serie Medium. I like the atmosphere of this lovely family.

It's good and fresh to see a couple who love and communicate well and take responsabilite and commit for each other and care for their childrens. It give me hope to find a good man for myself and it's possible.

I'm glade your back this season in wednesday because my second favorite is Heroes on monday.

I'm just curious how you become the creator of this TV show ?

I've always loved "Medium" and I'm sure whatever you present are always well-researched so I was kind of surprised/baffled/disappointed when I heard the prostitute in Allison's Indonesian dream speak in Tagalog with a very American accent. What gives?
