The Real-Life Allison

I consult with Allison less and less as the series has gone on. She's gotten busier and so have we. I consider her a friend and wish we had the opportunity to speak more often. The idea of a cameo is an interesting one. Wouldn't surprise me if at some point it happened.

My sense about the real-life Allison is that her "gift" is pretty much a way of life. Not something she can pick and choose to experience. I find that one of the most fascinating aspects about her. It's at once a gift and a curse. It certainly colors the way one sees the world. When I first met her I was struck by the fact that she seemed to have this radio in her head that only played news and songs about death. Yet she somehow managed to bring up children and have a healthy marriage, despite the dark lense that she views life through. I find that extraordinary.

allison is a real person? i never knew that? how do you know her? and how does she feel about the show? haha does she watch it at all??

So, the real life Allison is clair-audient?

It is sad the Allison is not consulted any more on the show but is it true that her kids have the same senses as she does?

She's written a couple of books. One of them, I know, is called "Don't Kiss Them Goodbye"?

I liked it that Bridget was more involved. It would be neat to see the whole family working on a case.

Her family has lived this way all their lives. But,how do they feel about the show.Does it affect them one way or another.
How close is the series to her real life.

As one who shares the same gift/curse that Allison has, I can certainly understand the struggle to not let all the messages of death that you recieve bring you down all the time.

The best show on TV in my mind..I dream almost like that only better..Books movies..I create restaurants but than work in them all night..Like alittle projector..sometimes a pain..am very in tune with things but no death.. I can't imagine.

I missed the ending of the premiere tonight. My DVR was set to record it, but stopped before it was over. I left off with the Det. and blonde woman talking about their relationship at dinner. How can I see the ending- I have to know how it ended!!

One more question- I know she must be bombarded with emails from fans already-- Is there any way to get in touch with her? Email?
Let's say I've had some odd experiences, and it's funny I'm planning to major in criminal justice (not because of the show or the real Allison), so if I get to talk to her once, I'd be absolutely overjoyed. Thank you!

I think many of us have something about us that is a gift and a curse. I'm sure the real Allison gets by every day just like we all do. She doesn't have a choice.
Great show tonight! So glad you're back on! I missed the show.

I didn't mean to come off as harsh when I said "sell her name to Hollywood"! I don't know if you'd even read my comment, or responding to someone else's, but the second after I clicked it I realized that was being judgmental. Though, I still think it's weird you guys use her real name, it's probably helped her buissness, and who knows? Perhaps her buissness helps us, in the long run.

Can anyone tell me how it ended tonight? Or if it's going to be replayed some night this week?

the det breaks up with the blonde, manuel gets his eye sight back and is taking care of himself. joe fights for his wife, ex-lover figures out why he's here, sends info to allison in dream, helps her nab the bad guy and gives her a goodbye that can only be beat by her husband joe.

what is the next ...show about ,major diaster ,tornado perhaps....scott

Yes, like Allison, I too see what will happen. So do most of the members of my family. I'm glad to see the daughter involved through cartoons dreams or whatever means. And the youngest? Which gift will you give her? Maybe a twist? Not all my kids have the same type of gift.

Allison is indeed a fascinating person. My Mom and I have read both of her books, and they are awesome. The most recent one she wrote my mom & I went to her book signing and we got to meet her. That same night, my grandmother passed away. I stayed up all night reading her book cover-to-cover, and it helped immensely. Thinking back, Allison looked at us like she knew something was going to happen.

Would it please be possible for you to set up dates, now & then, to meet with Allison or even her kids for story ideas? Also, could you please include more of the Texas Ranger stories Allison has been involved with? Use some of Allison's early stuff, we don't have to know all her latest stuff. However, if you could do a story about the recent serial-murders in Phoenix that would be cool Allison had to be involved in solving those.

Hello! Good Site! Thanks you! aslceccwcgp

How does one subtley suggest that the show is great but has a glaring fault. I watch regularly, but I also regularly complain to my husband about the level of acting from the actress that plays the D.A. This actress is in no way equal to the level of the other actors on the show and I am very distracted by her. I am your viewer, I share this show with everyone, but am regularly disappointed in this actors performance, it has gotten to be a joke with me and my husband. I am sure she is a wonderful person but this show is past her level of performance. I will keep watching regardless...

I love to watch the show, as Allison's work area, is the same as mine. The only difference, is that I have "contracts". I am hired by each department, or investigation that needs me, e.g. abductions or cold file homicides. It is my release, a "refreshing" past time, to watch "Medium", and the many twists and turns, with both moral quandaries and similar frustrations with the offenders of horrific deeds. Even though, "Medium" story lines are vastly "embellished", it does hit home nonetheless. If my contract is honored with Court TV, you will see more of the same subjects, in "reality" production.
