On "Medium" Experiences

I'm probably best described as a benevolent skeptic. When I started the show, much moreso than I am now. I've really come to believe that it's arrogant to assume that anyone understands everything there is to understand about how human beings perceive the experience of being alive and on the planet. But frankly, no I personally have not had a "medium" experience.

COMMENTS

One thing I wanted to say is I really appreciate the frank, realistic, beautiful but messy relationship between alison and her husband on the show (and with their kids too!)

where do you come up with all the supernatural plots and such, do you search for them from real situations, or from your mind, or collaborating with other great writers?

Is Medium based on someone in real life?

I'm glad Medium is back on.Why was the series premier
held back until now?

ALso wanted to tell you - I love the show!

So are the stories you air from the real Alison and does she help consult on the show

I love the Medium. I actually had bought the book by Allison before it was aired on TV. I am fascinated by the dimensions of the other side [no. I would never want to be a medium - that would really freak me out!] But it does happen and to lots of people. Can you imagine living a life filled with these happenings? I am a Medium fan. Thanks for bringing it to TV and thanks to Allison Dubois for being such a brave soul.

i love the way her visions and spirit confrontations are shown. very realistic and close to the my own experiences. patricia does an excellent

the show was AWSOME but the motorcycle soundtrack was the worst that i ever heard. i'm looking forward to the rest of the season. keep up the good work.

I have really enjoy the story lines. Some you figure out and some you don't.But you're always entertained. One of the things I like best is you can sit with your children and not be bombared with profanity or nudity.

Would you like a real medium experience? Very simple.

I don't have a question. I just wanted to say that I am so happy to see Medium back for a third season and the move to Wednesday night. Thank you for entertaining me.

I love the show. My dreams are of the future but don't realize it till it happens. To see Allisons dreams and she has to analize them is awesome. I can relate to her on several levels. Its good to see her include her husband on the events. The family structure is down to earth and believeable. Great work.

So glad the show is back on. I have really missed it!

The "moneyheads" animation was great, I have become a new fan of the show after catching 2nd run episodes on "lifetime" and 1st runs on NBC. This episode will make me turn in to more 1st runs this season. Will you be doing more 2 part episodes and animation?

Absolutely love the animation bits. PLEASE DO MORE ANIMATION!!!!! It's wonderful!!

I'm waiting for action here at the blog-log but I'm not seeing anything. So one last post before I go:

Allison Dubois is a real-live person and medium. She has a book out called "Don't Kiss Them Goodbye". She is the woman who inspired the NBC TV series we've just watched.

Allison evidently was contacted for help by the mother of the missing Alabama teenager Natalee Holloway. I won't go into all of the details but there was said to be feelings of definate foul play by the young Joran Van Der Sloot guy and his influencial father had a hand in helping to cover up incriminating findings, according to Allision in a FOX news interview with Greta Van Sustern. It looks like some people do get away with murder. Living with that information must be quite a challenge, to say the least.

Over and out.

Glenn, I know you said you are skeptical about psychic experiences. Let your own show open your mind a bit. There are those of us who have "The Gift" as I call it, in various forms and in various degrees. And yet, I do not claim to know everything about everything. Frankly, I wouldn't want to. That would be information overload. I do get frustrated sometimes when something is revealed to me, and I'm not quite sure what to do with it; what it means. With enough effort and meditation, I can usually make some sense of it. One time I dreamt that a train my husband was planning on taking derailed, and everything that goes with such a tragedy. However, there had been two fatal train accidents within two weeks of this dream, so I had to take that into consideration when interpreting the dream. However, I did feel it prudent to warn him to be careful, as I "knew" (just like Allison KNOWS) that there was going to be a problem, and I named the location. Well sure enough, when he called me from his destination, he said there WAS a problem on his trip: they were delayed for 20 minutes as debris had to be removed from the tracks, AT THE LOCATION I TOLD HIM. Care to explain that? It's a 100 mile trip. Why would I chose that ONE location to warn him about? And I don't beleive it was simply coincidence.

Now, about Alison's family: I think her husband is WAY too patient. I can't see any man being THAT understanding, not only of her 'dreams', but of the constant late night calls from the DA's office. And frankly, when the show was one originally, I KNEW one of her kids was going to inherent the "dream" gift. It was mentioned that her mother had the gift, if I'm not mistaken.

Also, I have a question: if she's a reformed alcoholic, WHY does she drink a beer sometimes? Most recovering alcoholics stay away from booze completely. Some can be AROUND it, and some can't. They just don't partake of it. I was just curious.

Oh, one more thing: I knew from the beginning of the episode that the DA was Diabetic. It runs in my family, so I know the signs. The tanking up on water, the frequent trips to the bathroom, etc. It was plain as day.

That was a good story twist at the end of tonight's episode. Good work. I thought, briefly, that the crimes were somehow connected by the art work, but like most, I got caught up in all the other details.

Keep up the good work!

love the show, medium being on here in maine at 10:00 pm on wedsdays. is cool, there family is so realistic,, her working for the DA, and that cop, solving crimes is awesome, ive read allison debois dont kiss me goodbye, it was a great book, i hope she writes more books?????? im just a big fan of this show and the characters are good too the family , the plots on storys,

I just lost my best friend. Our little cat ChooChoo.
My little cat meant everything to me. She was so very special.
I am such a fan of the show, so I have to ask.
Does the real Allison ever see animals? I want to believe I will be with ChooChoo again someday. Please, please answer.

I just watched the tape of the show from March 7, the same day I sent my question about my little cat.
Doesn't that mean something? I mean, in last night's show, a young Allison looses her little cat too. I sent my message in the afternoon. I hadn't seen the March 7 show. Isn't that meaning something? I know the episode might be totally from a writer's imagination, but a cat is killed on the show when I ask my question about someday seeing my cat in the afterlife the same day. All I can do is cry, and cry. Please answer or let me know some way to ask the real Allison this question. Will I see my cat again, does Allison see cats, dogs? PLEASE!

Why does this website exist??? - no one posts messages. Other then my first two requests for help, there have been no other postings. Everything else is months old too.
I don't get it, and all I want is a little help.
Please!

I was wondering who sings that song in the episode "Twice Upon A Time." I just can get it out of my head, I love it! I would be sooo greatful to find out the artist.

Does anyone know the name of the person/song in the "one behind the wheel"? It it Nora Jones?

Bravo for a show very well done...but, could you increase the voice volume a little (for those of us who don't hear clearly?)

Thanks and keep up the good work.

My point of view may differ from the other’s, but anyway I have may things to say on this subject. First, everything here is true. Second, check the information first, then comment it
