Why is NBC posting an advert on its website about returning this Fall and yet we no evidence of this in its promotions? Its decline in good shows is dramatic this year. Law and Order is tired and predictable. Whoever is in charge of programming should be fired before the network loses its viewers.

Charlie and Dani have such wonderful chemistry, it explodes off of the screen. This is a rather intelligent show with lots of rhythm and pizazz, so please don't let it go off the air. I enjoy the arc of the story and the interwoven idea of all of the characters, and that makes the show worth watching again and again.

Having been a Police Officer myself, it's easy to see some of myself and my peers here, and it's fairly good at keeping with procedure and chain of custody, etc. The other shows lack that attention to detail.

I'm worried about the ratings - NBC doesn't seem to be giving very much promotion or support, but by word of mouth alone Life now has a huge fanbase, so I hope we can thumb our noses at the Nielsons and have at least 10 more seasons of Life. Please someone tell me what brand of sunglasses Charlie is wearing. Are they Persol?

I don't really find lack of furniture to be that bothersome. In fact, I think it's one of those things that isn't all that important right now to Charlie. Maybe something like finding out who set him up might be more important than trying to furnish a whole mansion. But I do think that we should start getting some clues as to what the hell happened to him. The humor is what ultimately draws me to Charlie and keeps me loving him. That he is hilarious, okay maybe that's exaggerating, keeps him from becoming tedious to watch and hard to care for. That and ever since I saw the Forsyte Saga, I am definitely celeb crushing hard on Damian Lewis. I feel though that you definitely toned down the quirkiness in Charlie after the first episode and that is a good thing for the same reason that I love the humor in him.

Love the show. It doesn't insult the viewer by spelling out every detail. It's great to have to think for a change. Filling the house slowly is the perfect touch. Hope you have a long, successful run.

why in episode 3 does the man who killed his wife have a bandage on the left side of his forehead until the conversation about his childeren living with thier grandparents. It switches sides before and after cruise's partener says "that should work our pretty well" refering to the mans kids

On last eves show, the guy whos wife was shot had a bandaid on his forehead. During one of the interrogations by Charlie the bandaid was on the opposite side of his forehead. Sorry couldn't help noticing that. I used to be a police officer and was good at crime scene recall. Keep up the good work. Yur show is great. Takes a cop to like the good ones.

Wed Oct 10th Episode Why does the husband have his bandages on different sides of his forhead when charlie and partner go to his house to arrest him? when he says his kids are going back to Fresno "they'll be better off and her line is Crews line is "That should go pretty well"!

I have to say it. Damian reminds me a lot of Steve McQueen. A little in the looks department but mostly he has that "McQueen cool" about him.

First, let me say that I love the show. It's fresh, it's innovative and its intelligent.

I understand a bit about the industry though and I am worried that if you don't start pulling a bigger # it is going to go the way of Studio 60 (another great show that I mourn the loss of...). The clock is ticking...

If I may make some suggestions:

1.Adam Arkin is brilliant and owns every scene he is in. He is a huge asset to the show. Viewers love to watch him. You need to give him more lines and put him in more scenes.

2. The Zen angle is wonderful but it should be made more overarching and accessible the the average viewer. It is what saved Charlie's life in prison, it is what guides him in his journey back from hell. In short; it is a key character in the show and needs to be represented better. Make it's teachings meaningful to us as well as to Charlie. We know how he came to find Zen in prison. Now show us why it matters to him now. How has it changed him from the man and the cop he was before he went to prison? If you took a pole I think that you would find that many people believe that Zen is a religion; it isn't, and this erroneous belief could hurt you with religious viewers. It is a philosophy, not a religion. De-mystify it. It is Charlie's guide and it should be our guide too. Idea: Start every episode with a Zen lesson. Provide a caption quote of that lesson at the beginning of each episode and then show us how that lesson is interpreted by Charlie as he engages with this new, strange place that he is in. How does it connect him to this new life, and perhaps more importantly how does it connect the viewer with Charlie?

3. Charlie was set up. We need to start learning why. Someone has a secret that they don't want Charlie to find out. He is a threat to someone and we need to see that and soon.

I hope that you find this helpful. You guys occupy a very good number on my TIVO season pass list... I hope that I won't need to cancel that pass anytime soon (because there isn't a show to record).

That could make for an interesting quirk - how Charlie contemplates the choice of one piece of furniture or item for his house each episode - he sits in a chair to see how ZEN it is, and not finding the right one. Then maybe finding the right chair in someone else's house or office during an investigation - and then it shows up as the lone piece of furniture in his house at the end of an episode, with Alan Arkin making some comment about how much it cost to get it, something that only has to be said once for viewers to understand as other pieces show up after each episode. Or maybe the opposite, Charlie rents a whole housefull of furniture each episode (renting so that there is no attachment - ZEN), and it has some kind of theme. Then he doesn't want the attachment, or feels it is the wrong vibe for him, so it all goes back and he's left with an empty house again at the end. He might go through this a few times, with different furniture themes each time. Then at the end he realizes all he needed was a single good chair, cycle back to the first idea.

Charlie's character is so quirky, that it's open to natural growth. I really like the way all the characters are starting out. They are multi-dimensional. I hope this show remains for a long time to come.

I love this show, its different, great and funny. Please don't change him to much.
