We're Back!

Sorry for the delay all, but I'm glad to say we at SVU are back to work. March 3rd was our first day of shooting and we are already rolling along. More good news: we will be completing Season 9. Production will be turning episodes around for you as fast as we can, so come mid April we will be back with ALL NEW episodes. One of which will be SVU's 200th episode!
I want to thank everyone to for continuing to visit and post comments on the site. I'm going to do my best to go through all of them and make some responses, so when we start airing new episodes we'll be all caught up.
Looking forward to starting the Production Blog up again!

Question will Elliot and Olivia ever have a romantic sense on the set of svu??? I read some were that it may happend??? And i am a big fan of the show ,, i actaully watch reruns .....
OMGosh...I am so excited for new episodes...it makes me want to start taking Tuesday night off from work so I can watch them right away. I have been watching all the reruns on the USA channel ever since the strike began and even before it started...So glad you are back...can't wait...Plus I am so upset that I totally missed seeing Mariska in Austin the other day. I was working in downtown Austin and did not even know she was there until I saw her on the local news...I work for the Austin Police Dept... and would have loved to have given her a tour
I can't wait to see the new episodes. I need my weekly fix of Det. Stabler.
I am just finding the blog for the first time and have a question I've been dying to have answered. I know Chris was on Oz and I have also seen
alot of guest stars and a previous regular that were also on OZ. Is there a connection between the 2 shows
with the creators, producers, writers or directors? I just see so many people pop up that I thought there must be some connection.

So glad that everyone is coming back! Withdrawl has been a hard process. Just one question though, will we see a preview for the return of SVU on April 15th on this site? Perhaps a video of clips of the upcoming episodes, or a promo for the first new episode? Or maybe you could just slip a little juicy info. LOL. Thanks and can't wait!
He I was wondering if they made Mariska cut her hair to make it look like they picked up where they left off, or do we get to see her long hair again?

Can't wait for the new episodes! Will we see more of Kathy and the kids now that they have Eli, or is that "personal" side not going to be shown? I love how the early episodes showed a crime and how it related to Elliot's family life. Hope to see more of it.
what do you mean by "we will be completing season 9"? Does that mean that all of the episodes ordered at the beginning of the season (I think 22 is the standard these days) will be done? Thanks! SVU Rocks!
So glad to have SVU back. TV wasn't the same without it.
A couple of questions:
1. I've seen some spoilers about the first new episode on April 15th, and it sounds really intense. Do you think the writers feel pressure to "come back with a bang" after the strike?
2. Was it difficult for everyone to get back to the grind of shooting after such a long, stressful & emotionally charged strike?
3. Can you give us any clues as to who may be guest starring in the rest of this season, or provide any juicy info on plots developing in upcoming episodes?
