What to expect this season.
The stories will be more emotionally driven (see tonight's episode),
more character oriented. We won't dumb the show down, or soap it
up, but we will look to have more moments where we see the toll this
work takes on our detectives. We'll spend more time on character: the
criminal's intent should be as important as the criminal's plot.

I thought tonites eppy was outstanding, Vincent was at his best and seemed well rested and ready to bring it on this season, as well as Kate doing a fab job, my heart was pounding.I'm not sure of the new Capt.??, I miss Deakens, but all in all, fab., loved the interaction with Bobby and Alex..they have such chemistry together.
Wow That episode was so amazing i really thought eames was going to die.. thank god.. and my vincey did an amazing acting job but it's in his veins.. producing must be hard work i would love to act and get into acting classes..
I want the emotion between the characters, but I want the great stories as well. You should have at least one episode with all the characters like they did last year. Anything like that planned?
My understanding is that Mr. Noth and the subsequent epi split came about becasue Mr. D'onofrios schedule was too hectic and rather than have to walk away this was the compromise, so I would suggest to those who keep harping about getting rid of mr. Noth etc to re-think, as a return to a full schedule is out of the question for Mr. D'Onofrio, so I for one will take half rather than nothing.
Goren/Eames epis are absolutely my favourite but the other actors work hard too and deserve a fair chance.
Having more character driven episodes would be amazing. I think that is one thing that makes SVU so amazing, you know just enough about the Detectives to CARE what happens, but not so much that it ever overshadows the story.It would be a welcome addition to CI.
Warren, I think the show came close to jumping the shark tonight. Dump the idea of showing the characters personal lives and get back to what made CI great: Top-notch stories driven by crime and crime solving.
The emotionally driven stories is an excellent idea. Goren is a fascinating character portrayed by a great actor. Give Vincent more scripts with depth where we can watch his talent shine and we viewers will be delighted. Vincent is CI and watching his character grow, reveal more of himself and change is most welcomed. Keep Vincent and CI coming for years to come!
Sell out! Where are all these beautiful people in NYC? I think all the models in the backround is unrealistic and doesn't feel like NEw york. I think you should have more diverse group of people - some of whom don't look like they should be on the cover of GQ.
Definitely don't soap it up, but I do think there should be more of an emotional side. I want to know more about Goren and Eames backgrounds.
can't wait to see the interactions between Goren, Eames, and the new Captain. Inter-personal character interactions are great fun, and terrific drama. Was hard to get a read on Ross v. Goren and the resolution/confession of this premiere!! Looking forward for more to come!!
I would like to know why on CI the detectives alternate shows, whereas on SVU the detective teams tackle different cases on the same show. Will the CI detectives ever work in the same episode?

like the tone of voice Goren used with Jo, or vague references to a characters background.
Real fans live for that stuff.
Defnitely emotionally driven tonight and definitely well worth the wait over the summer. Would we have another 2 hours of CI with all four detectives together? Last season was excellent.
When you say character-driven, does that include the main cast characters? Or are you referring mostly to the roles of the criminals?
i hope you make more episodes like tonite's. i love the raw emotion of vincent, he does it so well! he's is the best actor and human being on this planet. am i right?
Will Chris Noth continue to be part of the team?
That's another good idea. As long as it doesn't take away from the overall picture.
