Detective Goren and Eames were the best. CI will never be the same. They need there old Captian back. I was a true watche of the CI, but not liking it now. May not buy the lastest seasons. Might have to start watch SVU. Hope they make the right choices.

Like dthe new captain's acting style. He is more watchable than Sheridan was as Deakins. But the actor resembles Robert Reed and I kept having Mike Brady flashbacks. Maybe change his hairstyle?
I liked the new filming technique very much -- the smash cuts, different angles, the editing to move the story along quickly and keep you in suspense. I also liked jumping into the story and figuring out who the perp was along with Goren. It is a wonderful change of pace. I just wish this premiere episode had been two hours worth!

Goren IS a realistic example of an intelligent criminal profiler. If you want real life examples of such people read the real-life stories of Park Dietz, Robert Ressler, John Douglas, Russ Vorpagel, and Roy Hazelwood. All members of the original Behavioral Science Unit at the FBI. Dr. Park Dietz is one of the consultants on CI.
Goren did not have his usual confidence which took away season premire. Bogosian does not fit with the framework of ci get rid of him,Kathry Erbe was excellent as always even though she was trapped she kept her wits about her

Please do NOT introduce story lines that include girlfriends or boyfriends of the core cast of characters. That would make the show more like a soap opera. I watch the Law & Order shows specifically because they avoid those sorts of story lines. I want to see the professional lives of the detectives and lawyers. I don't want to see their personal lives.

I also noticed a comment in the TV guide about Goren will never get a girlfriend in the show. I think that is a mistake. Vincent D'Onofrio is a great romantic lead. Just watch his films. His potential in this area is being under utilized and fans would be delighted if Goren got a chance to have a personal life and grab some happiness.

Please keep Goren and Eames at all costs! What happened to Courtney B. Vance? As much as I would like to see Goren and Eames hook up, I think the show would lose its edge and become what it's not --a show with sex mixed in. In an interview several years ago, Vincent D'Onofrio stated that his character was a composite of several detectives. He also added that no one person could ever accomplish what Goren accomplishes because he is so freakishly smart. So why did you decide that everyone around him would portray realistic people that might actually exist in the world as we know it while he would portray some kind of super cop?
I am a fan of CI but what is up with all the cast changes. I was highly annoyed with the new format last year and now this year you change the captian who is a jackass. Are you deliberately trying to lose fans? When you have a good thing..leave it alone.

I only watch the eps with Goren, because Mr. D'Onofrio is an exceptional actor and I find his performances riveting.
The best thing that the show did was to bring back Det. Logan. I thought he was one of the best characters in the entire L&O network.

didn't care for the new shooting style that much -- Bobby is a darker character -- doesn't need that "lights in the camera" kind of filming (in my little opinion!)

Vincent D'Onofrio is perfect as Goren. With all the changes going on, I hope Goren and Eames are going no place. Goren as the modern day Sherlock Holmes is perfect. He has the look of the realistic detective, but also the fun of Holmes. Keep them

I noticed the difference in the filming. I thought it gave the show a suspenseful edge. Really worked nicely into this episode in particular.
