This show was the best to date of goren/eames. Bobby Goren is a mesmerizing character, but it was delightful to see Eames show such a resourceful, gritty side to her character.
If you bring Goren's mother and brother on, can you get Anne Wedgeworth as the mother and Vince Vaughn as the brother?

Love D'Onofrio, he's amazing to watch, the character he plays is so interesting, but still, the name of the show is LAW and order.. not just detectives, but the interplay of both, in the squad room and in the courtroom. For years, that has been the format for the shows and that was the formula that has kept them going. Why mess with a successful formula? Although CI always had less of the courtroom than the original L&O, and less than SVU, I still think it's an important element that shouldn't be overlooked. By changing that format, it's no longer a LAW and Order show, it's just a detective show, like so many others that have been on the air.Many fans really get into the prosecutors also and enjoy that side of the shows. Remember in SVU when the DA had to pretend to be killed & went into hiding? I loved that character. It added a whole dimension to SVU. So I believe that the LAW side is very important.
why hasn't season 2 been released on dvd?
If Nicole comes back...will they finally catch her and charge and convict her?

Lots of comments about Goran. But I think you need to be careful to not make the show too much about him. He is great, but it's nice to mix it up too.
What happened to Courtney B. Vance?
In the original L&A, half the show was the detectives trying to find the suspect and the other half was prosecuting the suspect...why arent SVU and CI like that?
Good! Since I watch all three L&O that makes each one more unique! The character development in CI is so good you don't need the court room scene.
Where was ADA Carver? I missed him tonight. Is he still on the show?

Less courtroom is a bonus. The main reason I watch the show is D'onofrio and his character. He gets into people's heads and bascially forces them to submit, and it is fantastic to watch him in action.
Goren and Eames are the best. Enjoyed reruns all summer and I am glad they are back. Vincent is the best!

Excellent show this evening! As good as the "Wee Things" my favorite episode of last year,
that's great! we need to venture out more on the detectives...particularly Goren!
Who cares about the courtroom. I love watching Goren solve crimes!!!!
