Season two?
We are still asking about season two on DVD and I am pushing for the release. It was a very good season.

Eames and Goren
The two characters are going to get closer. They are five years into their relationship. I am glad their closeness is showing on screen.

Guest stars...
In the next few episodes we are going to see Rip Torn and Brooke Shields. We cast the show on eight days notice. We never really know who we are going to get until eight to two days before shooting. I have a wish list of actors I would like to bring to the show, but the second I bring up their name...their prices will go up. We are lucky to be in New York, we have great off-Broadway actors. I would like to see more comedians go dramatic on our show.

Bobby's childhood
We won't go back in time, we may get to meet Bobby's mother and brother as the season goes on. Stay tuned

How do the actors feel about the show?
The actors have been terrific with the changes. Katie and Vince have embraced everything. Chris Noth is having a great time. No actor wants to do the same thing over and over.

Eame's baby?
Eames was just the baby's surrogate mother and we can all rest assure that her sister is taking very good care of the baby. We might even see an appearance of the baby in Thanksgiving's episode.

Possible spin-off's
I am busy with my own schedule, but I can tell you this...Dick Wolf never sleeps.

9/11
Our fourth episode deals in part with the first responders of 9/11. It also will involve a brawl between NYPD and CI. It's a great episode to look out for.

Shooting and editing an episode
We spend eight days with 12 hours a day shooting. It depends on where we are in the season. We could complete an entire episode in seven days. But, for the most part, it's a grind!

Advice for grade schoolers
For those who want to get into television, just pay attention to life. Heck, turn off the television and learn more.

What to expect this season.
The stories will be more emotionally driven (see tonight's episode),
more character oriented. We won't dumb the show down, or soap it
up, but we will look to have more moments where we see the toll this
work takes on our detectives. We'll spend more time on character: the
criminal's intent should be as important as the criminal's plot.

Where is Law and Order filmed?
All the Law and Orders are shot in New York and New Jersey...that's why I took the job! Usually, we try to film within 25 miles from the city. It's a very tough schedule. Tonight's episode was shot in eight days, which does not lead for a lot time in traveling.

Court room drama
We will be seeing the detecives solving the mysteries more and the show will be less about prosecuting the criminals.
|

New filming
The director was Noberto Barba and he's show running partner and I hope to continue to film the show the way that it was shot tonight. He also directed Diamond Dogs last season.

Cast Changes
A few new additions. Julianne Nicholson plays Detective Megan Wheeler,
Logan's new partner. By this time in his career, Logan has gone
through several partners and his first reaction to her is ... subdued.
He'll try to make it work, but he's not going to over-extend himself.
As they work their first few cases, he begrudgingly realizes their
styles and skills match up neatly. If Logan is a " who, what, where,
when" kind of cop, Wheeler is the one who wants to know "why." She's
not a Quantico-trained profiler, but rather a literate, resourceful,
and dedicated partner. She's also direct, dry, and funny.
Wheeler is also the protoge of the new Captain, Danny Ross (Eric
Bogosian). Ross has just completed a successful three year stint on a
Joint Task Force that focused on money laundering. Major Case is his
reward, and he is determined to make the most of the opportunity.
Ross is smart, opinionated, and mroe hands-on than his predecessor,
Captain Deakins. He also knows Deakins lost his job for political
reasons, and until he's secure in his position, he does not want to
give his detectives the free reign they enjoyed in the past. That
said, the detectives will quickly realize he is a team player, who will
stand up for them no matter what. He's a divorced father of two boys,
and is fiercely protective of them.

Detective Eames
I think we can expect more Eames this season. Goren and Eames will begin to get closer and trust eachother more. Detective Eames will play a bigger part this season. We will not see their relationship turn romantic, it will remain professional.

Nicole's return
It's pretty hard to track any movements by Nicole. I can't say for sure if she's planning to comeback. The question is would fans like to see more of Goren's nemesis or mentor?

Good eye! That was Carlos Leon in tonight's episode.

Last year's 'In the Wee Small Hours'...it was a two parter. Also, 'Cruise to Nowhere', which was one that I wrote.

SusieQ wants to know if there are any planned crossovers with SVU and CI
I am hoping they would work out. The actors would all get along great. It's a great idea! I am already checking on it.

With all the changes on the Law and Order shows over the years – lots and lots of changes! – do you think that’s helped the shows? Fair to fans?
You have to hope changes refresh the show. There's a greater vision with the help of Dick Wolf. If there were no changes, the show would go into a rut.
