My favorite episode is Aftershock. I noticed someone else mentioned. I am so happy that I am not the only one and Dick Wolf-I have seen every episode and I enjoy Life Choice, too. Stone's line to her is the best!

"Aftershock" is my favorite by far. Very different.
My favorite was from a few years ago. It was titled "Couples". Briscoe and Green went from one crazy case to another. It would be fun to see another episode like this in the future. A great change of pace
One of my favorite episodes was the one that Chris Noth's character Detective Mike Logan got in trouble with politics and one congressman and slugged a very powerful man. That episode led to his demise on L & W, until he came back last year on CI.
That episode on CI which was the first of last season was a little confusing, but it had to take me back to when Logan was forced to leave the precinct because he slugged a powerful man. It must have been hard to explain it to tie the 2 episodes together. I think that his presence on CI is a great look for the show and I like him on there.
Life Choice: episode w/ Caroline Kava as the head a the pro-life group who planned the bombing of an abortion clinic. Stone's line "Aren't you guilty of the murder of her unborn child?") -- and her reaction -- were great.
Oh that's his name, MAX! I LOVED HIM!!!! I especially love how he smoked a cigar and stuck to his guns about his Irish-Catholic views!

"Life Choice" was about the bombing of an abortion clinic. I've read that it was so controversial that stations refused to ever air it again.
That was an absolutely amazing episode. I actually hadn't seen it until about a year, a year and a half ago. I love the tension between Max and Mike in that episode. Everything about it is just perfect. It sucks you in completely, and - regardless of who you agree with - you can understand each character's views. it was fantastic writing.
I'm more partial to the older episodes, but I really loved "In God We Trust." However, I think my favorite is the Pilot.
