First of all, I've known Dennis for more than 20 years since I was running Miami Vice and he was on Crime Story.
We'd been taking for 3 years about collaborating, but he made no bones that episodic TV was a grind.
But when Jerry was leaving the show because of his illness, I called him again. He said, "I don't know. I'm no Jerry. I don't think I can be here for years and years." Frankly almost a year ago in January he called and said, "Dick, I'm really anxious to get back to feature films. I want to give you plenty of notice to be released."
If an actor asks to be released far enough in advance and in a professional manner, I don't have problem. I didn't want him to curtail other opportunities. He's already made one movie , about to start another. It's a mutually amicable parting and I would work with him again in a heart beat.

Antidepressant boosts sexual desire in women, study says
There could be new hope for women who suffer from low libido in the form of an antidepressant being hailed by some as Viagra for women.

I am VERY disapointed when Fontana left the show, the new partner is bland, boring with no flair.You can't just have Jerry Orbach for so many years doing a amazing job.Replace him with someone the best you could do.Than replace him with Void!!

I was not sorry to hear that Dennis Farina had left the show. In fact, he was the reason I stopped watching L&O!! I previously liked Dennis Farina as an actor, but he got on my last nerve in L&O!! Now that he has left the show, I will resume watching!!
They should pair up Detective Mike Logan with Det. Green. Has the show thought about that?

L&O..Green is awesome, however I think he needs a new partner,Anita has too stay too and JACK is the man, he has to stay, the show without him is not Law and Order. I can actually watch CI now with Wheeler and Logan.Jack does need Sarina back though. But I have seen every episode and Love is, always will. Love Wong too and Munch and Tutuala and Stabler and Craigan.Captain on CI is awesome too. Ok its all Grrrreeat, just Green needs new partner and Jack needs a new ADA that he can sleep with, LOL(Claire),except Harmon she not so good, too conservative!
i was very disappointed when dennis farina (fontana) left. dennis was the best new charatcter since the chris noth days. he had great chemistry with michael imperioli (falco) and had the same type of father-son relationship with him that greevey, cerreta & briscoe all had with logan. it has been painful to watch this season with govich - talk about jumping the shark...

Did they mention Fontana’s retired? I didn’t hear it, possibly did! I got a phone call early in the episode and couldn’t get off the phone fast enough, can you believe that person was watching L&O too!! The nerve!
Mr. Wolf: Thanks for these shows over the past 17 years or so. Thanks a lot for letting us see what goes on inside a police precinct and law office. Right now my area is going through a crime spree in the NOVA area of DC, and they have yet to get the guy. One of the incidents happened about a month ago within 2 blocks of my house in my condo complex. I was asked by a TV reporter, and told him that I have been watching too many "Law & Order" shows to know that the 2 other incidents plus this one could be related...LOL The reporter looked at me, laughed really hard, and said, "You know what? You might be right about that." There were 2 other incidents in the past 10 days to 2 weeks ago and still they have yet to get the guy.
Thank you so much for making this so much fun to watch and interesting to understand what goes on these days.
My boyfriend is a fan of SVU and CI, but I also like SVU. CI will have to grow on me sometime.
Question: Why didn't Trial By Jury get another run on TV? It only lasted 1 small season. And thanks for telling us about Dennis Farina and why he had to leave. He was good. Hope that he comes back again to the show.
Also thanks for teaming up with Homicide: Life on the Streets when that show was on a few years ago. That was fun to see the crossovers as well. Are you going to do more crossovers on SVU and CI anytime soon?

It's slightly aggrevating to me that Dennis Farina left because I was just finally warming up to the character. (It took me a long time to get used to anyone but Jerry.) However, that said, I respect him immensely for admitting that it wasn't really what he wanted to do and deciding to leave. It's also nice to hear that he was so professional about informing you that he wanted to leave the show.
The sign of a great producer is his ability to attract world class actors to work with him. I am grateful that we had him as long as we did. I miss Angie Harmon’s character Abby. I just loved her “Oh Yea…lets hang’em all” attitude.

Mr. Wolf in a strange way these people become part of our family. When you prepare to see one and he is missing, you wonder "were they ____" is he? Will I ever see or hear from him again? But thanks for letting us know about his decision to move on.

I do have to say Jerry Orbach was the BEST, and is truly missed. I was surprised that many of his cast members did not comment on his passing. Did they all get along, or was it a private thing?
I have always felt that the cast changes are a HUGE asset and a BIG reason for longevity!

Mr Wolf, you are a genius! After every episode of Law and Order that I watch, whether SVU or the regular, when the screen goes black and your name comes up in white letters I'm like, AHH! Dick Wolf is a genius! My favorite Law and Order is SVU. I don't know if you have a say on which actors stay or go, but the chemistry between Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni is unbeatable!! I know Mariska recently left the show because she was pregnant and she will be coming back, right? If Detective Benson and Detective Stabler aren't working together anymore I will be EXTREMELY upset!!!
