Hey everybody!  In case you missed it last night (and why would you have, how could that have happened, what kind of a friend are you, etc etc), here's my appearance on the show:



Thanks for watching, and for all the super nice comments! You guys rock!! I tried my best to rep you guys hard last night - TONIGHTSHOW.COM IN THE HOUSE, Y'ALL. Whut whuuuuuuuut!

Tremendous Friday show tonight, as we welcome (from the new movie "Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans") the lovely and talented Eva Mendes, then Jon Bon Jovi as our second guest - and the rest of Bon Jovi as our musical guest!! How great is that?! DOUBLE BON JOVI ACTION, Y'ALL. Whut whuuuuuuuuuuuut!

Plus, we rip on dogs, welcome a new fake porn blocker sponsor, expose British movie posters, and bring back everyone's favorite bad horror movie, Killdozer!!  KILLDOZER'S BACK, Y'ALL!!!!  Whut whuuuuuuuuuut!!

I shot a new web video today with Engineer, Matt "Coop" Cooper, but it probably won't be up until Monday - stuff kept getting pushed back and pushed back until it was suddenly 4:30, and I realized that I hadn't done the blog yet! Sorry about that, party people.. I'm sure that it also didn't help that I sat and watched Bon Jovi soundcheck for a good 30 minutes. I'M SORRY, Y'ALL. Whut whuuuuuuuuut!

This is What it's Like To Be in a Sketch on The Tonight Show

Hey hey!  There's two great things to celebrate today: tomorrow is Friday, and tonight we've got an awesome show!!  Award Winning actress Nicole Kidman joins us to talk about her new movie "Nine"; everybody's favorite silver haired journalist Anderson Cooper will be here; and musical guest Leona Lewis will join us for some sweet sweet tunes!  Also on the show tonight: Aaron Bleyaert!  Yes! See if you can spot me on the show this evening plugging our awesome new "Get Me To The Show On Time" Game.  Spoiler Alert: I am handsome.

As many of you know, we use a lot of our own staff members and writers as actors in sketches on the show.  This means that pretty much anyone can be on the show at any time; if the writers and the casting dept think that you'd be a good fit for a part, you're called up from the ranks to appear on the show! 

Normally, the way this happens is this: You are either called by the casting folks (Ric & Emily) or a writer calls you up and asks if you've seen the script (which, because I don't read the script, is always a no).  The latter is what happened to me today: Michael Gordon, the writer of the piece, called me up, asked me some cryptic questions, and then came into my office while I read the script and saw that I was in the bit!  He asked if that was cool and everything - which of course it was - and then he left and went down to rehearsal.

During rehearsal, our Stage Manager Steve Hollander paged me over the office intercom (using a variety of, ahem, nicknames), so I scurried down to the studio.  When I got there, Steve came over and asked if I had seen the script, which I had, then he told me to have a seat in the audience with all the interns and other staff folks... Conan rehearsed a couple of bits; then, with a "don't screw this one up", Hollander called me over to the performance area.

HELLO, LADIES.

The strike is over, and so are our Strike Beards!!! Man oh man. It feels REALLY weird to not have any hair on my face anymore - the last time I shaved was in NOVEMBER. Craziness!!! It's kind of like when you have braces, and then you get them off and your teeth feel all smooth and weird - except all over your face!! Crazy. Also, I'm sad to note that my fat doublechin is back in FULL EFFECT. And it looks like I have a weirdly shaped face again. Man. Maybe that beard wasn't such a bad thing after all!! (Although things like eating, drinking, and brushing my teeth have all become MUCH easier!) Looking at pictures of me with a beard, it's almost as if it was allllll a dream.... But then I scratch all the razor burn I have all over my face, and it seems real again! Ouch.

Today's show is a doozy - from some HILARIOUS Jane Fonda swearing goodness to the comedic genius Martin Short, tonight's show is pretty much the bomb. Most exciting, however, was the fact that (because it's Valentine's Day) our very own staffer Grace Parra was set up on a blind date that happened during the show!! Her and a VERY lucky audience member (she's hot) have dinner right in the 6A hallway!! Oh man. It's super awesome AND super awkward!!! Sweetness two times! Hardy and I had a bet to see whether or not the guy would ask for her number when it was all over, and I'm happy to say that I won 5 bucks (he asked)!!! It drove Hardy crazy to lose to me... And I'm a sore winner, so the tension in the office tonight was pretty thick!

All right, well, that's all for tonight. I hope you all have AWESOME Valentine's Day plans... Conan bought all the ladies in the office boxes of Godiva chocolates for V Day, so I'm just going to wait until everyone leaves and then eat all the caramel ones!!! MMMmmmmm. Awesome!! See you all tomorrow!

So, I have to write a sonnet for my college english class.. and because I always talk about Late Night and Conan, and my teacher thinks I'm OBSESSED with him, I decided to write a sonnet about him to make my teacher laugh.

So.. here it is. That would be awesome if you could show him it sometime and tell me what he thought! Man that would make my year! It's kind of corny, but it's just a light hearted poem.

(it has 10 syllables per line, that's how you read it)

My hero? Mister Conan O'Brien.
He's truly funny, without even tryin'.
With gorgeous blue eyes and flame colored hair,
And a Harvard degree- he's debonair.

Hysterically jumping 'round on the stage,
One could never guess his actual age.
Comedic timing is his quality best,
I watch his show nightly before I rest.

Pale skin and freckles which I too relate,
With 'new found intensity,' he's just great!

When he takes the Tonight Show in '09,
Letterman's audience will soon decline.


Hopefully you like it/he likes it. Did you see how I fit the "new found intensity" into it.. I know, I'm amazing. =) have a good valentine's day! Ps. you should have sent your beard into Locks of Love. hahaa. they probably could have made a toupe out of it, or a beard.. if they make those.

Aww..Chillemi looks like he's 12! I gotta say, dude, I liked you with the beard. Maybe not when it's all all Grizzly Adams-crazy, but maybe a little more groomed (some manscaping for the face?). You looked quite fetching in the urinal bit.

I was fully the writers side and I'm glad they got their deal and I'm glad they're back. But I gotta admit I really enjoyed the strike episodes. I hope the Late Night continues to play with the format of the show.

Aaron, I just read something that I think y'all need to get Conan involved in, STAT! It's the 25th anniversary of My Little Pony. To celebrate, Hasbro is going to have celebrities, kids, and others DESIGN MY LITTLE PONIES!!!!! Late Night has always loved the ponies! I feel it would be a shame if Conan didn't get to design one!
