Top of the Props!

Another week has passed, and our staff continues to grow!! It seems like every day I see more and more people in the office! This past week segment producers Frank Smiley, Dan Ferguson and Rachel Witlieb started romping around, as well as Graphics gurus Pierre Bernard and Kevin Frank!! Awesome stuff. It's starting to feel like we're actually doing shows... Instead of being stuck in this crazy dream of sun and flowers and new building smells.

The BIGGEST development over this past week was the fact that we are now booking tickets for the first month of Tonight Shows with Conan!! It's a hot ticket - requests have been pouring in! The good news for you folks is that we use a lottery system, so there's always a chance you could snag some dope tickets if you request them relatively soon!! The New Set*

What's this? He's writing the blog at a normal hour when the East Coast is still awake?! THAT'S RIGHT, PARTY PEOPLE - with each new week I am adjusting to Los Angeles more and more. Last week it was training my body to deal with the enormous amount of Mexican food that I've been shoving into my burrito hole (that's what LAliens call "The mouth") - and this week I am learning to deal with THE TIME DIFFERENCE. A Note to my East Coast Peeps: Now if I call you in the middle of the night and wake you up, it's because I AM A MEAN BASTARD AND KNOW WHAT I'M DOING. Also: Sorry for the heavy breathing.

Okay, so, like I touched upon briefly a week ago, our staff here at the show has pretty much grown by a good 80 percent this past week: Nearly everyone is here in the office on a daily basis! It's a LOT more fun... We've moved out of "weird lonely limbo" territory and moved into "HOLY CRAP GUYZ WE ALL ACTUALLY LIVE IN LA AND WORK AT THE NEW TONIGHT SHOW ISN'T THIS AMAZING?!???" territory. Clearly, the latter is a tad more enjoyable.

The new set is looking mighty fine - it's already about half built, which is just about as incredible to watch them do as it was to see them rip out the old Late Night set!! Don't expect any photos for a bit, though - we're keeping it under wraps until the time is right. ;) HOWEVER, I have taken the liberty of drawing an artistic representation of what's been built so far, to give you all a little peek at what to expect come June 1st!!! Ready? LET'S DO THIS!!!!!!!!!!

WHERE'S MY FREAKING BLOG POST, BLEY?! IT'S MONDAY AND I COME HERE TO THIS SITE AND YOU HAVE POSTED EXACTLY ZERO POSTS TODAY, JERKWEED.

Listen, here's the deal - I was out of town this weekend (NYC, if can you believe it) and really reeeeaaaaally tried to get Chill to write a sweet entry about how location scouting and all that differs in LA from NYC - He's got a couple of great stories already! But the REASON he's got a couple of great stories already is that because he's been so busy. So busy... Working. His real job, not his moonlighting job as part time blogerator like yours truly. I was already in the air and out of touch when I got his note that he couldn't swing it today.... And that's about how we arrived here!
