No, the show hasn’t been cancelled. We’ll continue to air in the months to come. Like any show, the more people who watch, the greater the chances of us coming back in the in fall, so definitely get your friends to tune in.

Q: Was there ever any consideration of using the Montecito as the casino in the Las Vegas episode?

No, because all those sets were torn down, but you can see the Montecito in the two hour Knight Rider TV movie from last winter.

Q: Which do you like writing for more, film or TV?

It’s like asking which of your kids you like better. I like them both. TV has an immediacy that features do not have. In TV, you need to feed the black box every week. In film, a project can be development for years. Hollow Man took 12 years to get to the screen.

Q: How much of the science in your show is real technology, and how much is made up just for the show?

Just about everything we do has some real world counterpart, even if it’s just in theory right now. Eric Wolff, a writer over at Discover Magazine, actually watches every episode and then blogs about the tech here.

What’s interesting is that the technology you might think is the most real is frequently the furthest from reality and vice versa. According to Wolff, a truly self-driving car with KITT’s handling abilities, for example, is still years away. But the more fantastical 3D printer that KITT uses to whip up keys and other objects that Mike needs, is currently in real world use.

Here's some more answers to a few more questions.

I am worried about this show getting canceled. What can I do as a fan of the show and a fan of your work to make sure that doesn't happen? NBC has canceled too many shows before they get their chance.

Post online how much you like the show and write letters to NBC. The good news is that just last night NBC picked up the show for the whole season.

Why is the AI of the KI3T still learning if it is the most advanced car on earth?

There are things that Mike can teach Kitt than no computer programmer can.

If KITT is "still learning" after six months, then what has he learned so far?

What was the song Mike and Sarah danced to on the beach (in Episode 104)? I loved the song but I don't know who sings it. Please?

Kitt's environmentally conscious would probably want to make less of an impact on the environment.

Will there be any toys or other knight rider related merchandise?

We’re working hard to make the TV show as entertaining as possible right now, but hopefully we can get things on the shelves when the time is right.

Is KITT ever going to drive on 2 wheels?

The writers are working on getting him on two wheels in an episode.

Is there any new news on a Las Vegas ending? A merger between Las Vegas and Knight Rider would be sorta cool too. Maybe Mike met Danny while in Iraq??

I’m sad to report there is no news of a Las Vegas ending at this time. Myself and the cast would love to, but that’s still up to NBC.

If this is supposed to be a fun "kids show" how come there aren't any kids on it?

We’re working on a storyline with a kid right now.

Will KITT eventually smash into things or just continue to avoid them?

Hopefully we’ll do a little of both.

Will you explain specifically how Charles Graiman connects to the original series? Flashbacks perhaps?

Upcoming episodes will clarify Graiman’s connection to the original series.

Will you ever show a "normal" turbo boost jump that happens in real time?

We’re working on it, but I don’t have enough cars to wreck yet.

Will there be a mobile lab like the semi in the earlier knight rider?

We’re thinking about that.

Hey Mr. GST, I haven't seen the show yet, because I'm from Europe, but i have seen the tv movie and looking forward to love the series. I know you wasn't involved in that backdoor-pilot project, but... Mike Traceur didn't have any military tattoo on his right forearm in that movie. I’m sure your team noticed it by developing the series. So why you're going to ignore things that were already established in the 2008 version of Knight Rider?

Any chance to see the incredible 1915 Mansion in Pasadena (1145 Arden Road, Pasadena California) on the series?

He does now. Just don’t know when or if we’ll see it.

The location in the show is classified. Who says it’s the Tustin hangar?

Oh..one more question. Is the back story of Mike's mother (killed in the pilot movie) going to be explored? I noticed her name was Jennifer...could this have been Jennifer Knight (Garth's sister) from the original series?

I believe it’s called a Predator.

No.

Regarding the fourth episode, why wasn't there any pieces of his past revealed and a lady that he was supposed to know?

It’s similar, but Kitt’s technology is always improving and advancing.
