here's a question: why is the show so awesome?

One - Get rid of Zoe and the constantly sick guy from the lab. Those two were annoying as hell.

Two - I personally liked the transformation sequences. It keeps up with the newer tech.

Three - Michael and KITT need more time alone. This will allow more time for the AI to learn and grow.

I thought this episode was pretty mediocre. The biggest issue I have is there just isn't any emotional connection to the original series. It's as if the entire original series has been thrown out as definitive canon. The only emotional connection was the sound of the scanner--the rest was meaningless. You say it's a continuation of the original, but I think that's mostly a contractual requirement since NBCUni only has the rights to do a sequel.

The music was generic, boring, modern day action show techno. There was no personality to it. There are lots of themes to pull from the original series to adapt to a more modern style. This show needs more personality.

The KITT-cave is over the top.

The transformations are not believable. This is clearly network driven nonsense to capitalize on the popularity of "Transformers," a movie about alien technology. This is not how nanotechnology would work. Further, it looks fake.

There are serious plot flaws for this series to be considered a sequel:

- Mike Traceur would have been conceived during the 2nd season of "Knight Rider." How can such a serious event in the main character's life have been overlooked? How can a hero have a child with another woman, and abandon that child, when the true love of his life was Stephanie Mason? ("White Bird", "Let It Be Me", "The Scent of Roses") Michael Knight and FLAG were not top secret, he explained who he was and what they did to complete strangers in nearly every episode. Why did he need to leave his son behind? This story line is incredibly contrived.

- How did the Foundation for Law and Government, an extension of the more-powerful Knight Foundation ("Knight of the Juggernaut") end up dissolving into Knight Industries Research and Development? It seems like nothing more than a reason to use a KR logo to promote the Mustang Cobra. Why does it seem this organization is overseen by the FBI? FLAG was created to operate around the law ("Knight of the Phoenix") where the government couldn't go.

- How can Charles Graiman be considered the sole, original inventor of the Knight 2000, when throughout "Knight Rider" names are constantly listed? Dr. Von Voorman, Breeland, Yamata ("Junk Yard Dog"), Marco Berio, William Albert ("Deadly Knightshade")

Huge fan of "Knight Rider," I hope things get better, but in its current state, I don't think we'll see it past 13 episodes. If it makes it to another 13, it'll take serious changes to get past one season.

AMM66, you probably never really watched the original series. "Any resemblance between this" show and the original "is purely superficial."

If it's a great show, then it will be on past December. Sadly, I don't think it will be.

I'm not wishing for it's failure, but I can tell this show is what happens when you get a network executive, a major corporate sponsor, and a writer/producer who doesn't have an emotional connection to the story:

Network Exec 1: "Hey that Transformers movie did really well, we need to make a TV show like that."
Network Exec 2: "Hey people like cars, why don't we call it 'Knight Rider'."
Network Exec 1: "Ford has shown interest in promoting their cars more in our shows."
Network Exec 2: "Perfect. But people will see right through that. What else can we put in it make sure people watch?"
Network Exec 1: "Well, people like half naked women."
Network Exec 2: "Great, make a note to the producer. We want the characters to be half naked in the first 10 minutes of the show."
Network Exec 1: "Better yet, why don't we have the hero wake up in bed with two women AT THE SAME TIME."

I think the general public sees right through this show in it's current state. Even the commercials are over the top.

I have read now a couple of times these stupid comments. I honestly liked the show. There were indeed a couple of things I personally did not liked at all. But that is just my opinion. Maybe someone else found it cool. I like how KITT can transform into attack mode but into a truck,it felt a bit wrong. Also the turbo Boost jump looked terrible in my opnion. But I read it everywhere. But I think the show needs to grow and I'm sure it will grow. All these stupid comments in here, they think they could do it better. I don't think I could do it better. ButI think fans want this to be a good show. I think you and your crew want it to be a good show. You do your best. I also think you'll actually read this. I think when feedback is given to you in a respectfull manner as I try to do here, you'll listen. So the fans didn't liked the turbo boost CHI shot. We must do something about it to make it more better looking.

What I'm trying to say is, that I have hope for the show. I like it a lot and am positive it will turn out just great. It just needs to grow a bit.

One last note : I noticed the big changes made inside the interior. Too bad. I liked the way KITT looked in the pilot and the nano technology.

So far I love the show. I am a huge fan of the original and we all just have to realize that (while it would be cool for an episode or cameo) that David Hasselhoff and KITT (2k)..their time is over. I mean an 82 Trans Am against some of the cars in episode two? Or Hasselhoff fighting guys in the desert? Justin actually pulls off a resemblance to Michael Knight at times and it's awesome. And, no spoilers here, but in episode two in the last 3 minutes KITT learns humor, and even Mike comments on it.
The show is growing, we just gotta give it room to find itself. Be patient.
And yeah, I hope KARR's back for an episode...

There was a kid in the 2 hours movie in Sarah's class asking about her dad, seemed to mehe was digging, was thinking how awesome it would be if it was Garth Knight and Adrian's son and they paried him with Karr...wishful thinking, I guess. Anyway, love the show!

Oh, one more thing, I do HATE the KR logo on the bottom of the car. If Michael's worried about 'blowing his cover', why when the car turbo boosts is the KR neon blue and HIGHLY visible? Yeesh. Let's fix that for sure.

Just saw the second episode. The first was much better than the pilot movie, and this one was much much better than the second episode. If the trend continues, the show could be a hit with me.

Listen people, I have my pros and cons about the show. If it is so horrible why watch the show. Yes, many people are trying to make the show work. Lets give them a season to see if they correct any shortcomings. Even the original Knight Rider probaly had some shortcomings in the begining of their season so lets give them a shot.

Lets address the shortcomings and give positive suggestions on how to help the story and FX appeal to the veiwers. Negative comments are not helping the continuation of this Franchise.

I have now watched the first two episodes. I grew up on Knight Rider. To me David Hasselhoff is Michael Knight and not the guy off of BayWatch. Tonights show was a bit better. None of whimpy "billy". I really didn't like how he was in the first episode. Both he and Zoe could have a great add to the storyline if they would both grow up. I am not so sure about some of the other "acting" parts. Why did "the package" protest about being cared for when he didn't put up a fight when his thumb was being chopped off? I am just seeing a few odd scenarios that take away from the story line. When Michael was all of a sudden in the bed of the truck on the subway deck it was to choppy. I didn't like the transforming into a truck that's over the top and the KR on the skid plates just don't look right. The turbo boost fits because the original incorporated that stunt. I like Sarah and she is beautiful but she stood out like a sore thumb at the bikini party. No offense but she didn't fit the (bust size) profile. Keep her to the upper class parties like the one at the consulate.
I'm hoping to see Michael "David" ever so often even if it is footage from the original show on KITT's screens. Some tie ins from the old show will thrill the old timers.
No one really expects the old KITT to come on and be as flashy but everyone loves a classic car show.....hint hint!

It is me again. have seen the second episode and besides from the Turbo Boost and the transformaion into the jeep, I really enjoyed this episode. Also you can be poud of the ending! About friendship, the humor, the girl voice, ... A wonderfull episode! I also got the feeling that fans from the old series will like this episode. I do think people will still complain about the Turbo Boost and the transformation into the jeep. What I missed in this episode was the nano technology when Shaun fired with the P90 at KITT. That would have been a good scene for the nano technology. Shame you didn't use it. Still am very pleased with this episode!

I like the show so far. I to was a die hard Knight Rider Fan.
The few things im disappointed with however are KITTs voice is was too quiet. Its hard to hear him at times through out the show.

Second, try to cut back on the use of background music. The music hinders being able to hear the actors.

Third, as Janice said, SOMEHOW bring in something from the old series. There are so many fans that want to like the new series but are having a hard time because it is SO different.

Forth, as many people have said, slowly do away with the transformations. I feel you need to keep the transformations, just keep the ATTACK KITT, just make it more realistic like in the original. On a side note, yes, get rid of the KR logo on the bottom, make the underneath look like it should.

Hi first off I'm big fan of the 80's Knight Rider,while I've liked that there is a new one there are somethings that do need to be changed.One the whole turck transformnation thing has got to go this is Knight Rider not Transformers! Second there needs to be more heart to the series and more character growth and less on wall to action.Don't get me worng I do like the show but I believe you guys have missed what Knight Rider is all about and would love to see this show make it.And lastly it would be awesome to see and find out what happended to the original characters not just Micheal but also the others like Bonnie,April,Rc3 and KITT.

I am an original KR fan and enjoy the new show very much. I am always the first to defend new versions when they first come out (such as Star Trek: The Next Generation and Battlestar Galactica). After two episodes, however, I'm concerned about the direction of the stories. So far they seem focused on national security and terrorism, but in the original Michael Knight's and FLAG's mission was to help those who couldn't help themselves. Will the show be sticking with the current storyline regarding national security or also throw in the personal shows that were the staple of the original? Thank you.

The writing had better improve, or the show won't last but one season. This show has potential, but episode two could have been written so much better.

Hi..I really am enjoying the show. I am definitely a fan. You will have me watching to the end. There may be times that I will not be able to watch it on Wednesday nights on the NBC affiliate in my area, however, you can catch me watching it on NBC Rewind at NBC.com on the day after.

I really don't think there is any changes that need to be made to KITT. However, I do agree with some fans that it needs to include some of the original Knight Rider cast as a way of handing the reins over to the new Knight Rider cast.

What in the world happened to Carrie (FBI agent)? She was during the pilot movie and then she was on during the very premiere show but she wasn't available during the 2nd episode. I can only presume that she was on another assignment for the FBI?

And I am getting very suspicious of Alex Torres. He knows about Mike's history but yet will not let Mike know about his past. That's something we all really need to watch. I hope that you will be able to delve more into Mike Traceur's past. I am really interested in knowing what happened that he lost his memory over. I have a few hunches but I am not ready to spill the beans over them yet.

Great storyline so far but please do tie in the original Knight Rider and the new Knight Rider soon. I am dying to find out what the connection is.

definately noticed the developement of KITT as a character in the second epised. Dispite all these peoples negative messages which are typical and expected i think the show is good. My only friend who said he didn't like it jokingly said it was because KITT's voice wasn't manly enough

Thanks to the Knight Rider team for bringing back the classic 80's program back! The movie length premier was great and I look forward watching many more of the series. I enjoyed everything about the new car, the new people, but the voice of KITT is way too cold. Overall great job!

I like this, I used to love watching the old ones but this new one kept me on the edge of my seat.
I was wondeirng if someone could tell me where to find the pilot movie, I missed it and just found out about the show like this Past tuesday when the banner ads wouldn't stop following me all over the internet.

First, let me add my congratulations for finally getting Knight Rider back on the airwaves. As a huge fan of the original series, I have anticipated this for a long time. I have to be honest though and say that the first shows have been a little bit of a disappointment. It is reminding me a lot of Team Knight Rider and we know how that turned out. While I understand the need for new technologies and more modern roles, I was really hoping that the basic premise of the series would remain the same. "One man can make a difference, Michael." Was that not the entire basis of the Knight Rider series? A long crusader to champion the csuse of the innocent and go after criminals that operate above the law? While this show is pretty good, it really isn't what Knight Rider is all about. This show could have been called something else such as Transformers The Series, but using it is certainly now what Knight Rider was meant to be. Too many operatives out in the field with Michael all the time...and the family feel of FLAG is very much missing.

I hope that time will bring back what we are missing from this series and that the realization will come that Knight Rider needs to stay true to it's orignal premise to be successful.

I hope this get's read... Hi, no critisisms here, just advice! Most you've already read. I'm a HUGE fan of the original KR & infact own all 4 seasons on DVD. I have sat & played both simultanously & find minor flaws & defects in this new KR.
#1. Please, please, get rid of the KR logo under the vehicle, as you see in all these comments, no one's interestes in seeing a NEON KR logo under that car. I'd leave it stainless steel, make it look indestructible but that's it.

#2 Truck transformation? Ummm, I'm a Ford fan, I own an F-150 Lariat, but Ford? please back off a bit... You are ruining the show a bit by adding a truck. My sister hates the new KR & was sarcastaically telling me if KITT transforms into a Ford Toilet too... It's too much, stop before it hurts the raitings!!!

#3 The music inside the episodes during scenes is generic, nothing KR related, its also very loud, drains out KITT, u can barely hear KITT sometimes. His voice sounds too low.

#4 Yes, the old crowd will bring in the new crowd, bring back Hasslehoff & TransAm KITT a couple times like mentioned above to save his son from trouble, show's that the ol TransAm & David still have a few good rounds in them.

#5 Waaaayyy too much going on in the KR lab... We DON'T need to know all this. It was a mystery in the original series, we didn't see much of FLAG, we don't need to see all these people running like idiots. Too much staff, too many extras, simplify the show, it's too complicated, people refrain from all that unnessasary stuff.

I see the the show making it big if those changes are made. GOOD LUCK NBC/Universal. I look forward to sitting in fron of my TV on Wednesday nights from now on.

Other than that? Everyone has to get used to the modern KR. Afterall, the original series was canceled after 4 seasons so we have to make sure we make it better right?

So far, many people have presented by same concerns: PLease remove the 4x4 transformation. It stretches the credibility of the show well beyong the breaking point. I understand the marketing aspect with Ford, but the use of the truck in the show isn't doing anyone any good.

Who are your technical advisors? They need quit watching the Fast and Furious movies and come back down to reality. The wide drag slicks used in attack mode do not allow the car to handle better just provide better of the line grip. The tall soft sidewall of the tire would not let that car corner or turn. The big bleacher looking spoiler on the deck lid is rediculous. It's creating more wind rag than down force. The three butterfly scoop is typically found with a roots style supercharger NOT a trubo. The pilot episode was great, you could hear the whine of the supercharger on the Cobra and the car looked great. Fixing these issues would make this a great show.

The transforming from Ford product to Ford product is silly and not realistic. The skid plate with the Knight Rider logo on it is 100% useless. It gives the impression that the creator of the car knew it would be on a tv show called Knight Rider. Even a Ford logo undneather the car would have made more sense..... tacky but sensible. Make the series more based in reality and it could be a hit! Make it more like a crime drama based in reality like CSI meets the Dukes Of Hazzard ( minus the hillybilly style ) and I think the series would be more loved by the average fan rather than just oggled by the fans.

Hey Gary I have a suggestion for a Halloween episode. You should have Mike dress up like his Dad (the Original Michael Knight), 80's leather jacket and all. Have Sarah dress up like Bonnie with a white mechanic's jumpsuit, Zoe in a purple form fitting one like April and even have the big glasses and have Billy dress up like Devon and everyone mistakes him for Dr. Who or Sherlock Holmes. I think that it would add a little humor to the episode. They could be going to a fundraiser at the Old Knight Mansion which is rumored to be haunted by Wilton Knight's ghost.

I just wanna say something here. I am one of the biggest Knight Rider fans. I've always wanted a Trans Am to make it look like KITT, I did have the black leather jacket when I was younger, hell I even went to Virginia Tech with dreams of trying to build the AI to become KITT. The fact of the matter is this, Knight Rider came out when the world was a much different place than it is now. When one man could make a difference, but after 9/11, it's just going to take a little more time than before to make that point clear. That could be an underlining tone for the entire series and even that Traceur discusses it with his dad at some point and he reenforces that point to Traceuer. I do agree that the bond between Micheal and KITT needs to be stronger, but it took time for that bond to develop in the 1st Knight Rider and it will take time in this one. This is season 1 fans, Sarah will loosen up in the later seasons (She's HOTT!!). I have a good feeling that Charles will develop that Devon Micheal Knight bond but that will take time. I'm sure that Alex Torres will get his a$$ handed to him by Mike when he regains his memory, but all of this will take time. Like they said in the promos before the show began..."This ain't your father's Knight Rider", it's your sons and daughters' Knight Rider so let's ride and have fun.... and more of Zoe :)

The technologies and personalities should be different and updated, but the same very basic idea should be retained. I mean, what's with all this internet, GPS, music and game stuff you can get from a phone these days? Hey! Maybe you should just refurbish an old Trans-Am from a junk yard (bcuz you can't get one from Pontiac) and make the old show with old scripts with David again. Well, maybe not. I'm enjoying the show because I'm seeimng improvements where they need to be, and the more fun it is the more I enjoy it. I truly enjoyed the third episode. There are too many Dramas out there without any sense of humor. The show is not perfect, but the original was ceratinly not perfect either (and poeple loved it). Keep up the good work.

I own the premier tele-movie from Feb. and am generally happy with the episodes so far. They seem to keep getting better as the show progresses. HOWEVER KITTs attack mode looks like the taxi cab from the Queen Latifah TAXI movie. And that logo on the bottom?? COME ON GUYS! I love the show and am thrilled its back but please, lets not kill it before it gets going! Can anyone say "TEAM KNIGHTRIDER"! Ugh! Yes, KITT needs to undergo some changes when he launches into some form of super pursiute mode. But The current incarnation is a bit much. And guys.... The scanner light! Come on! Please guys,the show is great and all, but please! me and all of fans are the life line of the show, without us now, and even back in the 80's the show would not have survived. Please take the suggestions of the fans, the show is about on man making a difference along with his car. Guys we have been there with team knight rider and it did not work, so why are we trying it again. There are supposed to be tree main characters in the show, Devin(charles),Bonnie(Sarah) and micheal, the rest of the team are supposed to be behind the scenes,unseen,unheard and just sendin the missions out to Charles for him to dispatch orders to Micheal.For that to work properly there needs to be a new high tech mobile unit,bring back the semi.
As for KITT, bring back his original voice,scanner and give him a new hightech dash. Also the new attack mode is wicked but it needs a few changes,

2) All black
3)No drag slicks

1)A more aggressive front bumper.
2)Same style side skirts as the movie version
3)A sleeker more aggressive aftermarket wing.
4)aftermarket firms with black face and chrome lip (wider beeper lip out back)
5)Blackout treatment on the grill and headlights.
Also actually jump a purpose built stunt car for turbo boost. Please give him his original voice and scanner lights and make his transformation into attack mode less transformerish and more natural like the original. Please, Please,Please for the sake of saving a legacy and builbing a new one.

The way things are looking I think Team Knight Rider and Knight Rider 2000 are out of continuity with the new Knight Rider. Although they'll probably take some elements from it like Michael Knight (Hasselhoff) leaving FLAG in 1990 and Devon dying in 1991 and having FLAG fold after his death, or even have Jennifer Knight(Garth's sister and Wilton's Daughter) shut down FLAG after Devon's death. On a side note I love Attack mode on KITT, it reminds me of the old Super Pursuit Mode.

All the bad comments I read about KITT and the Show make me realze the ONLY real problem is... it is a remake of Knght Rider. If this had been made into a NEW show with another name, it would not have such a toxic backlash. About 80% of the comments are about how the OLD Knight Rider or OLD KITT car was. One thing I like about Knight Rider is Sarah Graiman clothes. I for one would like to know what clothes were worn on your show and I am sure other girls and women would like as well. I just finished watching "Knight of the Living Dead" and I just have to say as a die hard fan of the original Knight Rider, I loved it! I was confused about the K.A.R.R. reference in the show and the exoskeleton picture with it not being a Trans Am. Also I was confused about K.A.R.R.'s acronym. K.I.T.T. called him the Knight cybernetic Automated Roving Robot. Since when did K.A.R.R. become cybernetic? I know K.I.T.T. wouldn't have known all about K.A.R.R. but I want to know will this be explained in episode 12? Also I would be nice if Mike is on a mission and Charles tells Mike he should see his father for help. And have Michael Knight (David Hasselhof) have his KITT's "conscience" as part of his house, Ironman style and he should get briefings on missions from the Foundation like Ex-Presidents do when they're out of office.

In the original series, KARR was a Trans AM just like the original KITT. Also after the original series was cancelled, there was a tv movie special that with Hasselhoff where KITT gets downloaded into a '57 chevy because the original KITT was destroyed. It will be interesting to see if the new series picks up from there or from the original series itself.

I think that it would be a big loop if they did higher billys girl on Knights pay roll. It would some what break or make things different with the female tech that billy works with. As the line goes say a spin on things. One idea would be a great show would be a spin called the two knights: The old Kitt and the new Kitt run in to each other it can be a father son type idea. the old carr does a time travel and runs in to the Two Kitt's help each other out to stop the old carr. it would be a tie in with the holloween show where New Kitt talked about or showed the other proto type.

Daer writers I have a quick suggestion, I think in the season finale you should kill off everyone except Mike because the TNA script with mediocre actors is just not working and while you're at it destroy that batcave/KITcave and start over. But this time bring back some elements of the original show like F.L.A.G because we never heard what happened to F.L.A.G and that's who Micheal Knight use to fight bad guys for. Furthermore if you do destroy the K.I.Tcave please bring back the truck Micheal use to roll out of, that was so much cooler. Remember simple is better! Your target audience is 25-40 yr olds who grew up with the original and can tell the difference, not 15-21yr olds who just care about pretty faces and fast cars that doesn't make a good show worth keeping past Season 1

are you aware that a lot of the ideas that were impossible in the original show are now possible and can actually be done with a trans am?

--actually at this point the hardest part is putting in a true AI that actually thinks for itself, but we do have some low level AI software that can and has driven cars safely in real world environments. we can put a turbine in a car, we have the technology and the ability to build a nearly indestructible vehicle capable of those speeds and doing it while getting 150 miles per gallon.

inside 1983 KITT was sonar, GPS, Microwave Video conferencing, forensic analysis equipment, infrared, x-ray, ultrasound, a tesla induction coil, -- we can do all those things today.. so who's to say that 20 years from now we wont have nanotech down and be able to develop a car that can change shape or colors?
