August 17
Million Dollar Talent

It seems like time flies when you are having fun. We are finally here watching the final acts for America’s Got Talent. Seems like yesterday we were in the auditioning phase of the show. Let me tell you this, every single one of these acts kicked it up a notch and they made me proud. It’s going to be awesome to see which performance America thought was worth the million dollars. I thought some of these acts deserved TWO million dollars. So, America, what do you think? Make sure to watch the final results show on Thursday night to see if your favorite act won.

On a side note, I want to thank all of the fans out there that have been leaving me great comments about my blog. I have had a blast working on it. Keep rocking, America!

I really like passsing zone. You were great interacting with the two guys. You are making this show really fun to watch.

Posted by: Jim Thomas | August 17, 2006 05:50 PM

Dave you and Brandy are doing a great job. My money is on Realis or At Last to win.

Posted by: Annette | August 17, 2006 05:52 PM

My Money is on ALL THAT !!!!

Posted by: Linda Cupp | August 17, 2006 05:57 PM

You make the show worth watching Hoff!! Do another song man!!!

Posted by: Rusty | August 17, 2006 06:21 PM

I only watched Bianca Ryan sing last night and I voted for her, she is amazing. How come on this site you cannot recap and see the other contestants? I only watch this show to see Bianca and I will not watch it next season. The judges did a poor job on picking the talents. GO BIANCA and no matter what happens you are a STAR!

Posted by: debra | August 17, 2006 06:41 PM

I either want bianca or at last to win. Those are my girlfriends and I's favorite. But, im wondering what ever happened to syd the kid. You guys put her through to the next round and then all the sudden she disappeared. She was also one of my favorites. Keep on rockin with the show and get rid of piers!

Posted by: Shaun Mounce | August 17, 2006 06:50 PM

This show is great, I Hate reality shows like american idol, and i thought I would hate this show to, but it turns out that i love it. However talent is hard to define, it is a matter of taste and everyone has different tastes, but I think you guy's do a good job of picking the talent. I think all the magicians should have gone through to the final. One thing that really bugged me was that you guy's voted the granny through and wasted a spot for someone with real talent. next season you should get someone who is not affraid to hurt someones feeling's like brandy, Pink would be awesome. thanks for a good reality show.

Posted by: James | August 17, 2006 07:17 PM

Dear David

I've been of yours for ten years. You brought alot to the show with your great sense of humor. I always enjoyed your sunny disposition. I'm glad to hear that your coming back next year. The show is nothing without you.

I voted for Bianca Ryan who I thought did a fantastic job singing. She's going to go places. I also voted for Taylor Ware who I thought did a very good job in singing and yodeling.

Keep up the great work next year on AGT. Looking forward to seeing you in January when the show comes back.

Posted by: bs | August 17, 2006 07:23 PM

Hello David!
AGT is the best reality talent show next to Idol. I can't believe tonight's the last night. It's been really fun watching the acts and seeing Peirs get "Boo"ed by the audience. I think Taylor Ware can win this thing. I can't wait for next year -- Hey, I might even be there! Good Luck tonight, America!

Posted by: Timothy Crowley | August 17, 2006 07:42 PM

I Voted for Taylor Ware. She is so talented. She is not just another singer. Don't we have enough reality shows out there for singers like Bianca, Come on. I continued to watch this show because the first time I saw it I watched Taylor and she was so impressive I wanted her to win. I can't believe that she taught herself. Now that is talent. She is just an all american down to earth girl and I think she is great and if she doesn't win AGT than this show is nothing different than American Idol. I also agree with Piers about the Millers. They blew it. I would have rather listened to him play the Harmonica.

Posted by: Brandy | August 17, 2006 08:04 PM

I voted for All That. They are seriously amazing. That takes a lot of hard work and talent. They have had my vote since the first show. My second vote would be... Realis. That's just cool. But ALL THAT all the way!!!!!!
Anyone else agree?

Posted by: Hillary | August 17, 2006 08:10 PM

ok, well i have no clue why nathan burton wasn't put in and rapping granny was. Everyone says that, but rapping isn't a talent. anyone can do it. its rythmic talking. anyway...

at last- um they're ok...not my first pick but wasn't something like them on drake and josh once? it was like they had a talent show and this asian group came on and did something exactly like at last. maybe it was them but i don't know. it sure looked like them.

quick change- argh! geez. i saw these guys at a wizards game once during halftime and they were much better there. it was longer and much more interesting to watch. they started to bore me after the first performence because they do the same stuff and they have the same dresses except for the beginning and the end. maybe thats how it works? i don't know, it still amazes me.

rapping granny- same thing again. anyone can rap. i don't like her. she might be entertaining for some people but i just don't like rap and thats a bad image if a grandma wants to rap.

bianca ryan- i know shes really good and everyone wants her to win, but she bores me. i want to see unusual things singers just sing. you just hear what they do. i like watching.

all that- dude, these guys are awesome. they took something totally blah and made it unique. i love them. these guys rock the house. i liked it when they did the clogging to the "buttons" song it was interesting music and had a good "clog beat" but i probably don't know what im talking about.

taylor ware- its pretty cool that she can yodel, but i think she should sing instead like a country one. the yodeling is just a little out there for me. but she's still pretty good. she shouldn't win, but shes ok.

passing zone- these guys are really funny. i love watching them! i don't think they're going to win, but they're still really good and talented.

celtic spring- um the mom and the dad don't do much so i sorta agree with piers. we didn't even see them tonight they were so far back. but the little one is cute and will probably get good some day. i don't like it that much though. violins are like argh just turn it off! they're all screechy and make you want to plug your ears....blech

realis- WOW. oh my gosh. these guys are so talented. i think they should come in like second or something. they really deserve credit. i think they are completely awesome. totally different and unique.

the millers- ahhh! i think they should win. these guys are toally the best. as brandy said, this is the reason why america votes. enough said. wow these guys rock.

1-the millers
2-realis
3-all that
4-passing zone
5-at last
6-bianca ryan
7-quick change
8-yodel girl
9-celtic spring
10-granny...no...

so there you have it. and peirs is definetly the best judge out of all of them. who cares if hes not certified or blah blah blah he speaks the truth even if he has to be mean.

plus, that syd the kid is on thats so raven now. she plays that sydney character. i think.

Posted by: taha | August 17, 2006 08:15 PM

I voted for Bianca. She has amazing talent-hard to believe she's so young. I also love the Millers. That kid can really get down on the harmonica and his older brother's a pretty good singer. I don't know what Piers' problem with them. Sometimes he is a real jerk. I think he's trying to be an a-hole like Simon is on Idol. He doesn't have to be so rude and hurt people's feelings, especially children. Anyway, if there's any justice at all, Bianca will win the million. She's the best performer. I'm afraid a lot of people don't want to vote for a singer just because they think it's too "American Idol". But American Idol won't let a 11 or 12 year old perform and this girl's too good to have to wait.

Posted by: Marcia | August 17, 2006 08:18 PM

It's Miller Time! Go Miller Boys!!

Posted by: Sarah | August 17, 2006 08:24 PM

My favorite act is either Passing Zone or Taylor Ware. They are both incredibly talented and entertaining too. I don't think rapping granny should have made it through but I think Nathan Burton should've. He was by far the most talented person on the entire show. I also liked the ventriloquist from the beginning of the season. Can't wait for tonight's show!

Posted by: stephanie | August 17, 2006 08:33 PM

Glad to see the Hoff and I go way back as a Knight Rider fan. Love your sense of humour...you are enjoying this, aren't you! Glad to know that you know when not to hit below the belt with the kids. I know one of you has to be the bad guy, but tell dear Piers that trying to drive a wedge between brothers is a a no no - love that Miller who sticks loyally to his sibling! he could be the next Paul Butterfield. And, David, you were a great sport during the Passing Zone. So many fun acts hard to choose, but Realis - the Millers -- and if someone in the music industry were smart, they would grab the yodeling girl and turn her into a major country singer (the next Reba) Best to you!

Posted by: Cindy | August 17, 2006 08:45 PM

Hoff,
You hit it right on the head with the comparison to Lisa Minelli, this girl will be the nest one, she get feeling out me I didn't even know I had. I'm 58 years old, seen alot, this girl rocks !

Posted by: jerry | August 17, 2006 08:51 PM

Hoff....you are the coolest dude on TV man...no-one can high kick like you except maybe chuck Norris

Posted by: Ronald | August 17, 2006 08:54 PM

At Last! It's All that and more! They're the best!

Posted by: Kevin | August 17, 2006 09:10 PM

Hoff - you gotta be the most white guy out there, man. Good job on the juggling.

Posted by: Ralf | August 17, 2006 09:10 PM

I didn't think I would like this show, but it grows on you. Evidently though, talent (like beauty) is in the eye or ear of the beholder. I didn't always agree with the judges, but everyone is entitled to their opinion - except, that is when you deliver scathing and demeaning remarks and try to pass it off as "truth". I won't be watching next season if "I Wanna-Be Simon Cowell", aka Piers Morgan, returns - tooooo unprofessional!

Posted by: Dana | August 17, 2006 09:22 PM

Great show!

The young talent wins... that is what seperates this from American Idol... you can be 12 years old and have a chance to be seen (Bianca, Taylor and The Millers)!

Its between those 3... I vote for taylor

Posted by: Noah | August 17, 2006 09:30 PM

Wow america's got talent is an amazing show, I think it is better then American Idol and So you think you can dance because you guys aren't just judging one specific talent you are judging many different entertaining talents and the way people in the show are allowed to get the auddience in the show is pretty cool I didn't think i would be able to watch pat the first round auditions because for for the other show (mentioned above) i only watch the first round to get a laugh but this is a mazing how many different amazing talents people have. So that about wraps it up and i would just like to say even people up here in Canada ( thats right i'm from Canada) love the show so much can't wait to see the results.
P.S. i want rappin granny to win because she's entertaning or passing zone because they know how to improve the world of juggling.

Posted by: Justin Cochrane | August 17, 2006 09:33 PM

ALL THAT is all that. :)

i love them!

Posted by: Shelly | August 17, 2006 09:36 PM

Millers rock and roll... They are way better then the guy who sings jump into my car. Oh and the best part of the entire show what peirce!!!

Posted by: thayne trevenen | August 17, 2006 09:45 PM

i really want quick change to win. i must say even though alot of the stuff they do we've seen. but i am still amazed everytime i see it. i'd like to see peirce take a try at that and see how difficult it really is.

Posted by: Bryan | August 17, 2006 09:52 PM

Hi David,
I really enjoyed last night's show and can't wait to see who wins the million tonight! My vote goes to All That, man those guys can really dance! I'm very much into dancing myself, so I've been hooked on watching these guys perform from day one. I also enjoy Rappin Granny; I like her fun loving personality. She really gets everyone into what she does which is cool.

You did a great job in the Passing Zone act, I was really amazed! It was also fun to see Brandy involved in the Quick Change act as well. You guys rock! I will definitely be tuning in for next season.
Take Care & God Bless,
Natalie, davidhasselhoffonline.com

Posted by: Natalie | August 17, 2006 10:02 PM

Can't really decide who I like best, but I know one thing for sure - I won't watch next year if "I want to be Simon Cowell" Piers Morgan is still on the show. These people are not suppose to be future performers that need to be ready for this kind of criticism, so it is not necessary to treat them this way! It will not increase ratings to have a judge who is crude! At least Simon Cowell has some personality!

Posted by: Denise | August 17, 2006 10:08 PM

David,
That was really good last night! You being in the act with the passing zone was awesome! Keep it up!

Posted by: Sinker | August 17, 2006 10:25 PM

Hi from Pensacola, Florida.

Since we have to choose from these 10, my favorite to win is...Realis.

Rappin Granny is a joke right? There are so many other acts out there that were really talented and Granny makes it to the end! She will benefit from this with a record deal anyway.

How about next year let us vote for who WE really think should win the million dollars in the end from ALL the contestants. If the judge's didn't vote this last round why should they before?

ALSO, why not have 2nd and third place so more people can benefit?

Posted by: lastminute | August 17, 2006 10:25 PM

The Passing Zone ROCKED last night! You were so cool with them. Can't wait to find out the winner. My money's on The Passing Zone ALL THE WAY!

Posted by: debora | August 17, 2006 10:39 PM

The Millers are THE winners as far as I am concerned!! They ROCKED my house from my 6 year old to my 16 year old, not to mention my 37 year old self! I will certainly buy a CD if they will put one out.

Posted by: Imters | August 17, 2006 10:52 PM

ok!!! i hate:every one
except 4 all that, realis, and
passing zone.

Granny:a rapper???
The millers: ??? (one is kinda hot)
Quick change???boring!!!
Yodel girl???? boring
Bianca: i dont get her acts
At last: boring and
celtic spring: ok come one BORING!!!!!(i mean come on, they dont have a tv OR cell phones!!!???lame)

Posted by: caitlin | August 17, 2006 11:00 PM

kiss kiss u all that

Posted by: lizzie | August 17, 2006 11:02 PM

You are doing a great job being honest with your judging. It must be tough to look at a young child who puts it all out there and tell them they aren't good enough to win this compitition. You have given them encouragement in a way that makes them want to move forward with their dream. Keep up the good work.

Posted by: Wellington | August 17, 2006 11:07 PM

Before anyone mistaking believes Piers (Moron) Morgan
is a man of "honesty" or "integrity", they should do a little
more research on this man's character. He is a notorious
liar and fraud. He has been dismissed or fired from nearly
every journalism or media type position he has ever held.
Do your homework boy's and girl's, Piers (Moron) Morgan
is NOT "honest" or "credible" in any, way, shape, or form.
The only reason he is working in America, is because
nobody in England wants to hire him.

Posted by: David03079 | August 17, 2006 11:09 PM

I think All That should Win. These guys are awesome.
I think Celtic Springs is terrible...that is what happens when home schooling goes wrong!

Posted by: Becky | August 17, 2006 11:18 PM

I agree, Piers does say some mean spirited things to these people. He's certainly entitled to his opinion, but should keep the meanness to himself. Biance Ryan is my choice, all the way! Loved her first song, listened to it every day. The second one was disappointing, but I knew she'd come back with a bang!! God Bless all these people who had the guts to get out there & try!!
Sharon

Posted by: Sharon | August 17, 2006 11:47 PM

Thank you for a very entertaining summer. You and Brandy are very gracious and accurate judges. Though I agree with Piers on many points regarding the acts, being rude and belittling was & is not necessary. That is a reflection on his character and what type of gentleman he really is. I found myself muting the tv when he opened his mouth. I would hope, Mr. Cowell or higher, will replace this man next season and send him packing back to England or where ever he calls home. He doesn't exhibit the values our young Americans should be exposed to on such a public venue. Again thank you for all the fun and for delivering constructive criticism with such dignity.

Posted by: candace | August 17, 2006 11:59 PM

David, I'm so glad to be watching you on a weekly basis again. You always speak from your heart and I think that's how it should be. This show is so great and can't wait for next season. P.S. your daughters' are gorgeous, great job!

Posted by: Bridget | August 18, 2006 12:07 AM

Rapping Granny - please I could have picked 15 other acts better than that, I can't believe the judges put her through, if she was to win, I wont be watching this show any more, even more than that NBC will certainly be loosing cool points with me. Judges - be more honest, I think you are all too nice, be honest, Pierce has nothing to loose, brandi dosen't want people to dislike her and not by her albums. David - you seem to most of the time go with the flow, as a musican, tell them like you see it.

Posted by: Charles | August 18, 2006 12:14 AM

I think Bianca should win. She has an INCREDIBLE voice in that 11 yr old body! The Millers are fantastic also. I think it would be cool to see LD and Bianca do a Blues song together. THAT would be incredible!

I think All That and At Last are fantastic also. I think big things lay ahead for all of these acts. They are truly talented!

Posted by: Dianne | August 18, 2006 12:19 AM

I hadn't had time to watch TV in some time, until a life saving surgery put me in bed for 6 weeks. That's when I got hooked on the show. WOW AMERICA....You REALLY do have LOTS of great and varied talent. Some was not MY personal taste, but I am only one person in this wonderful country of great diversity. To each their own. I have greatly appreciated the fact that each judge has specifics they are looking for. However, I do agree that it is MOST important that judges follow Hoff's example of being honest, encouraging, and diplomatic while at the same...giving corrective critiquing (vs. criticsm) in a positive way. Afterall, these are mostly folks right off the street, mostly amateurs, and probably shaking in their boots. Afterall a lot is on the line. There is NEVER a reason to be insulting or cruel. The general public will give them more than enough of that if they don't like what they see.

I have been so incredibly overwhelmed and wonderfully entertained with this uplifting, mostly positive show that is productive and real life. We all have dreams. Its great to see others have the courage to push forward with theirs.

Piers....bless your heart... you are trying to protect the prize and the industry that the winner will be jumping head first into....you more than understand the winners will need to make that money back for the industry in their shows and presentations. I realize you want to see how some will handle hecklers, but that comes to these folks with time. American's, whether outwardly or not, deep down are ones who have a GREAT appreciation for manners, and diplomatic tact. No one says you have to sugar coat anything, but it only makes you look small and petty when you carry on in the ugly ways you do. I'm not sure what you are trying to prove. I sure don't think everyone loves to hate you...I think you just need some polishing up on YOUR PROFESSIONALISM. I don't talk that way to my dog. Much less total strangers putting their dreams on the line and thier hopes in your hands. You are 1 man....not the world, not a total representative of an industry...one man. You've got brass in your a....! I'll give ya that. But what good is it?

I have an old aunt that you could spend a week with here in the south. She's a good country Christian woman. She'd make a Hoff man out of ya in about a week. Give it some thought please. I see potential in you! REALLY!

Brandi! What a woman. You are, in my opinion a good judge of today's market for your age group, and you have a lot of experience...I haven't agreed with everything, but you're the pro, so I let it go. Keep up the good work, and thanks for keeping Hoff and Piers at arms length from each other. I fear if they sat beside each other, Piers may not have any hair or teeth when they came back from a commercial break, so I guess somebody knows what they are doing. Tell me something... please....Do those 2 men at least SMELL good?! I love a good smellin' man! lol!

I think Vegas would be smart to put on a show that cast all those that don't win, but made the top 20 or so. Wow! I'd pay to go see it. It would be like an American Talent Show that keeps on going. Talk about Variety, and seeing American's at their best. It sure beats all the negative and violence and gore we see and hear all around us.

America's Got Talent Makes me smile! Thanks! Oh and Hoff...I first remember seeing you on a soap when I was a kid babysitting one summer...I've followed you ever since. You don't change. What's your secret?! ; - )

Someone's gotta hug Regis for me. Is he something else or what? He makes getting older look like it could be a lot of FUN!!!! Sunshine in KY

Posted by: Sunshine | August 18, 2006 12:31 AM

If the show wants to continue, get rid of Piers Morgan. He is an insult to the show and to you and Brandi. He definitely is not a Simon Cowell. To him, Simon has class.

Posted by: Bruce | August 18, 2006 12:33 AM

Hey David, good talent this year, and I'm sure America is deep in the talent pool, so you could do this for years.

I think it was a close battle, but The Millers or Bianca probably have it won. I definitely think the other magician, Burton(?) should have made the final. The other magician with the birds could have definitely been an hour and a half show, but isn't there already one of those in Vegas?

One question for you, if you don't mind, do you play Entropia Universe?

Posted by: Jason - "LG" | August 18, 2006 12:37 AM

Hi Dave!
Unfortantly we can not see the show here in Norway, but we have been watching some of the acts on nbc... We only have one thing to say; the votes from Norway goes to BIANCA RYAN!!!!!!!! What an amazing voice, and she is only 11 years old.... We agree with Brandy; Its unbelievable!!!!!! I really hope she wins!!!! I am a great fan of that incredible kid!

Posted by: Cecilie Loberg, Norway | August 18, 2006 01:02 AM

I felt that the so-called "celebrity coaches" hurt some of the final performances. They expanded the acts with a lot of unnecessary bells and whistles and injected their own styles, which only detracted from showcasing the talent of the individual contestants. Some of those coaches should be taking tips from the contestants!

Posted by: Tim McKinley | August 18, 2006 01:09 AM

rapping granny......what a waste of a good talent spot. i find my self muting not only when piers moron talks but i can't stand granny's raspy rapping either. would anyone wanna dance to that in the club...i think not. entertaining, maybe but talented like other acts ..absolutely not. it's all about the harmonica in the millers and those cool beats at last be makin with their own voices. everything with them is so natural, they make accopella(not sure on spelling) seem like there is music playing with them. everyone should check out their stuff on you tube from LA.

Posted by: Pat | August 18, 2006 01:17 AM

BIANCA RULES!!!!!!!!
omg i luv her from the first day i saw her i was like shes gonna sooo win and im behind her one hundred percent i luv her its unbelievable her voice omg shes awesome

Posted by: Annie Baloon | August 18, 2006 01:27 AM

I think all of the acts were good because they have the courage to get up in front of millions of viewers. But the two that I liked the best were All That and Celtic Spring. Congratulations to all of the performers.

HASSLEHOFF IS HOT! ps. PASSING ZONE GOT IT IN THE BAG!!!

Posted by: lilXcutie | August 18, 2006 01:32 AM

HI David,
I was just reading your other days' blogs and I agree that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but some people just get out of hand...Using a blog page to argue off the subject matters, etc. (Just pathetic!) Now, back to business,...It seems that Piers Morgan is quite jealous about us, Americans--We Have Talent! Unlike, his kind--the Brits. If he thinks that he can come on national TV and put down every American and get away with it, then he needs to be educated. I feel that he does NOT know the meaning of the saying "WHAT GOES AROUND, COMES AROUND." Let's start by sending him back to where he came from--ENGLAND. He is obviously taking away an American's job and making an American family hungrier every single day! Plus, he is NOT even good looking. Some times I wonder...How many people has Piers turned into stone? Well, gotta go...I have more, but I think it'll take up all this blog's space. CIAO!

Posted by: Knight Rider | August 18, 2006 01:36 AM

Hoff, you're such a knob!!!

Posted by: john doe | August 18, 2006 01:56 AM

ok piers isnt that bad. i agree with him. QUICK CHANGE SUCKS. the guy has a bad attitude. the yodel girl scares me. the only reason that celtic spring and quick change moved on was because they cried. They should just tell everyone none of you win the million, nathan burton does. the guy was awesome he was the next David copperfield. here is my top ten (well technically eleven if u count nathan burton :-) )
1.millers(i thought they were awesome!)
2.realis(acrobatics that are amazing)
3.bianca (very talented but singer(boring!))
4.all that(how will they move on when they werent voted through before?)
5.passing zone (i didnt think they were anything special last night)
6.at last (BORING)
7. yodel girl (SCARY)
8.celtic spring(they are here cause they cried)
9. quick change (the talent is good but they dont change (and i hate the guy))
10.rappin granny (come on she is the worst talent ever

Posted by: johnny | August 18, 2006 01:59 AM

Show looks great. Stupid CTV didn't carry the finals for me instead showing some other shows finals. Thank god for the web site.

Posted by: demetri | August 18, 2006 02:01 AM

hey david go do another song.

Posted by: Anonymous | August 18, 2006 02:06 AM

Celtic spring obviously has the most talent

Posted by: dave | August 18, 2006 02:22 AM

CONGRATULATIONS BIANCA RYAN!
I KNEW YOU WOULD WIN!

Posted by: David03079 | August 18, 2006 03:08 AM

There is NO WAY that Bianca Ryan should have just won that money!!! She was truly one of the least talented of all the finalists. I cannot believe that people voted more for her than "All That" or the Miller brothers. This is absolutely ridiculous.

Posted by: Anonymous | August 18, 2006 03:08 AM

HI, my mom hates you just to let you know...

Posted by: Jade | August 18, 2006 03:09 AM

bianca was great. but what does taylor and the family receive? money? a car?

Posted by: pam | August 18, 2006 03:15 AM

What a ripoff. Taylor should have won. NBC sucks.

That was the worst final show in the history of TV. we didn't need all of those warm up acts.....I Like you!
Bianca was good, but not great....I Like you! nathan wasa the best.....I like you!

I was disappointed with the final show. I've never seen a show that was so NOT about what was to be happening. Instead of all the guests, why not have the contestants perform again and illiminate them as they go? But to save it ALL until the last 10 mins.??? I hated it. But Congrats to Bianca, You were Wonderful!!!

Posted by: Richard | August 18, 2006 03:16 AM

That show was fantastic!!! when does season II start....It should have been between Nathan and Leanard.

Posted by: x | August 18, 2006 03:18 AM

Hi David Hasselhoff!!!You and Brandy are the best judges!Piers may be cruel, but I think he is kinda cool.I am so glad Bianca won!My mom said whenever tears were rushing down her face that she needed her mom and dad.I am hopefully going to audition!(If it's all right with my mom!) My mom has the video cam- corder right now so i have to go!Hopefully I'll see you in Hollywood!
Becky P.S. Will this get me away from school cause I'll be across the country cause i live in WV.

Posted by: Becky | August 18, 2006 03:21 AM

I agree, The show was lame. They need a new producer....What do the 2nd and 3rd acts get??? or do we need to see more of Aly & AJ lipsink.

Posted by: Julie | August 18, 2006 03:22 AM

This show was ridiculous and waste of time. Bianca Ryan !!! ... What a waste of time. I could shout much better .... She should compete with other singing talents in show like American Idol.

Judges were clueless throughout the whole show, they wanted the performers to be their puppets if the performers could please the judge they are in the next round. The only talent America needed was to please the judges. Poor selection of judges.

Hope NBC doesn’t come up with another edition next year.

Posted by: TK | August 18, 2006 03:24 AM

In tonoght's final show, it showed that the All That & The Millers who were the 4th & 5th place runner-ups, each received at new car; however Taylor Ware & Celtic Spring who were the 2nd & 3rd runner-ups received NOTHING.
How fair is that?
Hope NBC makes a correction for this oversight.

Posted by: Jack | August 18, 2006 03:34 AM

My money was on Taylor Ware and The Millers. I am kind of upset that Bianca Ryan won!

Posted by: Jenna | August 18, 2006 03:34 AM

They call it rap because someone who could't spell forgot to put the C in front of the word.

Posted by: Anonymous | August 18, 2006 03:35 AM

As I posted yesterday, if you didn't vote for your favorite act
at the end of last nights performance, don't start complaining
if your favorite act did not win. America's Got Talent viewers
got it right again! Bianca Ryan was the BEST, and deserved
to win.

Posted by: David03079 | August 18, 2006 03:38 AM

hey there david, i unfortunately missed the results tonight. i really want to know who won! i hope it was either the millers or at last.

Posted by: unknown | August 18, 2006 03:38 AM

I was impressed with the final acts, but was disappointed with some of the "extras" that they were encouraged to incorporate. At Last, who was a favorite of mine, did not perform as well with all that drum stuff. I thought Taylor Ware and All That were positively fantastic. Bianca was just okay, I think the money was ill-spent, but the other acts will persevere.

Oh well, on to the next season. I like Piers, he calls the shots correctly. David Hasselhoff is very savvy and handsome.

Bianca Ryan,
You are one of the best singers ever!
~Chris

Posted by: Chris Daughtry | August 18, 2006 03:40 AM

Ok, for those of you that were not paying attention, the cars were given to the #2 and #3 acts. Taylor and Irish Spring (on purpose) were #4 and #5. I can understand the confusion, because Taylor should have been #2!!!!

Posted by: Alan | August 18, 2006 03:40 AM

Unkown,
P.S. Bianca Ryan won. I am really mad, I wanted the Millers to win, too!!!

Posted by: Jennifer | August 18, 2006 03:43 AM

i totally agree. bianca ryan deserves 2 million $$$$$. so does taylor ware. she stands for all small towns!!!! both are unique. all i have to stay is that the show went must quicker than american idol did. can't wait til next season. the judges were ok. all the judges should have their own blogs (including regis). regis is the coolest host EVER!!!!!! i watch his morning every morning. NBC keep coming up with great shows! I love deal or no deal and america's got talent. howie mandel is awesome too. I have missed many episodes though. the irish dancers were cool. Rappin' Granny please. She shouldn't haven't even been in the finals. Her outfits were cool though. lol. All That was awesome!!! At Last was like NSYNC wannabes. the wild n wacky talents should have been its own show. they were hilarious acts. Anyway great job to all the contestenants!!! Way to go Bianca for winning!!!!

Posted by: Katie | August 18, 2006 03:45 AM

All you bianca haters cannot be serious about her being bad. she is the best singer ever! im gonna buy all of her albums! she gives me chills when i hear her. who got second and third anyways?

Posted by: lauren | August 18, 2006 03:52 AM

I am OVER THE MOON that bianca won. What a voice!

Posted by: Janelle | August 18, 2006 03:56 AM

good acts, but i think this show is poorly directed. it needs to be more organized and thought out.

Posted by: Anonymous | August 18, 2006 03:58 AM

I voted for Bianca, I also love all that!!! But I used to judge beauty pageant talent and I based my opnion on the fact that All That are exelant but theirs is a learned talent. Bianca's is a natural talent. And I feel a natural talent is a winning thing. I have ahd many ties and I have always voted for the natural talent.
SO you go Bianca!!!
And ALL THAT. I would come and see you on stage in a heart beat!!!
Love ya both!!

Well, I see who won by all the comments. I'm on the west coast. I like the quick change and passing zone. Bianca does have a powerful voice though.

My money is on Bianca. That girl has phenomenal talant. A lot of people like All That but I've seen them come close to winning on another show called Dance Fever before and I still don't know what the hype is about them is all about.
Bianca's got talant America!!

Posted by: Jean | August 18, 2006 04:25 AM

HOW DOES EVERYONE ALREADY KNOW THE WINNER? WE STILL HAVE TO WAIT ABOUT A HALF HOUR FOR THE RESULTS SHOW TO AIR! IS IT NOT LIVE?

Posted by: Zed Kielhamer | August 18, 2006 04:28 AM

Hey David

You are awesome and cool guy. I like you very much. somehow I like how Piers judged he's got a talent to judge. Sing more often you have a nice voice. Bianca was my favorite and she won, she deserved it.

Posted by: Titine | August 18, 2006 04:31 AM

The results show already aired in the Mountain Zone, and I am sure the Eastern and Central Time Zones. It's time delayed, and not exactly live for some time zones.

I am absolutely estatic that Bianca won! She deserved it!

I just can't believe that Realis didn't even crack the top five. But it was cool to see at least one of the acts I voted for actually make it.

Posted by: KI | August 18, 2006 04:52 AM

If you wouldn't mind could you tell Piers to vote based on talent not on the music someone performs to for me? I mean I have never seen such an idiot in my life.

Anyways good job Hoff and Brandy.

Posted by: Nick | August 18, 2006 04:56 AM

What did 2nd and 3rd place get, they showed that 4th and 5th place got cars, but didn't even mention 2nd and 3rd, that ending wasn't thought out very well.

Posted by: britt | August 18, 2006 05:14 AM

Way to go, Bianca. You are fabulous!

Posted by: donna | August 18, 2006 05:19 AM

You go Bianca, girl!!! You're the best!!

Dave, I hope you are one of the judges if they do another AGT! Keep rockin'!

I think that TAYLOR WARE shoudv'e Won. I Personally don't like Bianca. we already have enough talented singers in America, we need a little spark in America, something Unique something different. But that's personally just MY OPINION. Keep up the good work! Can't wait for the next season of AGT! Ps- TAYLOR, YOU ROCK MY SOX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by: Jamie | August 18, 2006 05:19 AM

I am so glad I missed this show, Bianca won? Ok, I give the girl talent but she DOES NOT have the voice yet. She kept going all over the place and she doesn't know her range. Send her to American Idol and see what Simon says. My vote were for the Millers. At least they knew what they were doing.

Posted by: Angelina | August 18, 2006 06:00 AM

Regis Ruined the end of the show for me. What a letdown! Instead of praising all the winners, he chose the loosers, and made them 'go sit down'. Great for showing what the 4th and 5th places won, but enough of the drama,(long pause) the spot light is not on Regis, it should have been on the finalists. What about the third place is... and the runner up is... and that leads to a much better ending. They all had a long road there, and all won their spot in the top 10. They should have all been praised for their hard work, and talent.

Regis Ruined the ending for me. What a great show. What great talent! Congrads to all the winners, and all the talent!

Posted by: Sara | August 18, 2006 06:11 AM

gteat show but regis that was terrible great job to all and surprised she won see you next time good luck to everyone

Posted by: nameless | August 18, 2006 06:17 AM

I voted for all 10 of the acts online, since I felt all of them were great, and I was surprised to see that Bianca Ryan won out, but fortunately she finally did a good performance the previous night.
I would've personally chosen both All That and At Last to tie for first place overall, since they're both great.
May all 10 acts go far!
The Passing Zone huys made me laugh once again, and I'm glad you kept your cool during their act, even if you had a look on your face that clearly said, "I don't know about this...", so thanks for participating in that act!
The same for Brandy when she had participated in the Quick Change part of the show.
In any case, DH, thanks for a wacky, funny show this past season! Keep up the good work!

Posted by: Lyn Henri | August 18, 2006 06:21 AM

I am thrilled for Bianca Ryan...she was my pick the first time I saw her! She sings with such passion, it's hard to believe she is only 11....and now a millionaire!!!.....Go Bianca, I'm waiting for the CD!......

As for the show itself, they better ditch Piers...He makes Simon Cowel look like Winnie The Pooh!.....He is the most arrogant, ignorant idiot I have ever seen!

Posted by: Carolina | August 18, 2006 06:24 AM

While I think that America's Got Talent is a great show, it had a whole lot of flaws that i hope they fix before the next season (which if I read correctly, starts in January)

For starters, during the preliminary rounds, only showing some people who passed, and a whole lot more who were not even worth watching, while not even showing the ones worthy of being watched.

Then the return rounds...it was highly unfair to ask 15 people to keep practicing, and to fly all the way out only to have 10 selected to perform. And those ten being selected by the judges who selected them in the first place. The five that got left out for each show got royally and unfairly screwed.

If the judges are going to continue to pick one, then take away the checks and the x's, because it doesn't mean snot later on through the later rounds, maybe the judges should be judging on a point system that they keep private, but the system they had there, didn't work very well.

And finally, I do agree with the views on the finale show. 50 minutes of fluff to get to ten minutes of result was icky. And the final results were not read off very well. There is a lot of confusion as to who came in second and third. It was All That and the Millers. They did not come in 4th and 5th. But the way that it was announced, it was easy to see the confusion. Not very well played out.

Other little nitpicks: get a new stage director. Regis shouldn't have to ask for the lights to be dimmed each and every time, and tell the actual director to show the acts, not the audience.

Every show will have its flaws in its first season. I just hope that they learn from them, and correct them.

Bianca rules!

Posted by: KI | August 18, 2006 06:25 AM

Wow! I never expected Bianca Ryan to win...I voted for the Millers. I'm in California, so we get the results later than all of you...but I'm still happy for such a great display of talent. Tonight, even Piers Stefan Morgan set his differences aside and made a lasting comment: "America has talent!".

Did you notice how Regis handed the car keys to LD Miller instead of his older brother? Hahaha!

LD Miller is a one man show.

He needs to come back for season two, going solo.

And yes, LD Miller can be found on myspace.com, just like most of the contestants.

The best talent: Millers
The best judge: Piers
The best guest performance: Cirque Du Soleil Zumanity
The best effort: Lilia Stepanova
The best dressed: Millers during the finals
The best non-professional talent: Granny might be the only one who is not already a professional. Everyone else does what they do for a living!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by: Zed Kielhamer | August 18, 2006 06:26 AM

One more thing I forgot to add: A million times thanks for singing "Jump in My Car" on the show when you did, so I hope you'll get to perform in the U.S. as soon as you're able to!
Rock on, Hoff guy! Wooo!
Yep, I'm a fan of you being a singer...!

Posted by: Lyn Henri | August 18, 2006 06:31 AM

The show was fun to watch, Regis needs a lesson in imrov and how to read a cue card.
It is very hard to put singers up with non musical talent. maybe singers should be limited to Idol and open the door for other talent to win this show. What did put me off the show was the terrible camera work. I missed a lot of what the talent was doing because the cameras were all over the place, zooming in and out, scanning the audience which i don't care to see and the stupid reaction shots of the judges.
Leave the camera wide on the stage so I can watch the show. I dont care to see what the cameraman and editors can do with their fancy tricks.

Posted by: Lesley | August 18, 2006 06:32 AM

I have been watching this show with baited breath. Although I thought the winner was OK, the best act was the quick change artists. Surprised that they did not win. David, you were a real asset to the show. Loved you in Baywatch.

Posted by: Dick Forsythe | August 18, 2006 06:36 AM

I'll bet one hundred dollars that LD Miller will get revenge by coming back for season two.

Did you see the look on his face when he got the car keys instead of a million dollars? He took the keys very slowly and then shrugged his shoulders at the audience, which makes me think that he's going to plan a comeback assault, Millers style, for the next season of the show.

The Millers had something nobody else had...they enjoyed themselves a lot while performing for the audience.

Nobody else had as much fun being on stage as the Millers!

By looking at his reaction, you can tell that LD Miller really thought he had the contest in the bag.

They had the most exciting act for sure.

The kid acts like he owns NBC and the entire America's Got Talent venue.

That's confidence!!!!!!!!!

Just watched the finals and was very happy that Bianca won, reminded me of another little girl with a big voice by the name of Brenda Lee. There were some great talents and some very poor talents but the type of show America needed and Piers did keep it interesting because you just never knew what Brit
