Hey Guys!
Did you catch the latest show? Pretty cool stuff. I am amazed on how many of the acts improved their talents from the audition round to what we saw Wednesday night. It feels good to know some of these people are actually taking my advice! These people can't forget, they are performing for a million bucks!
I am even more excited to see who America ultimately chooses as their favorite act. It's hard for a judge to decide, I can't imagine how tough it is for a viewer at home to choose. Keep in mind, you can vote up to ten times for your favorite act, so keep plugging away because the more you vote each week, the more likely you'll see your favorite act in the final round.
Make sure to check out next week's blog, but until then...

Hi David, I love this show! I can't get enough of the talent showcased week after week. I record the shows and watch them 5 or 6 times a night. The dancing llama was my favorite, but I can't forget the belly danving sumo wrestler. Please tell me who won. Was it the 3 year old who could recite the US constitution? Anyway, hope you are enjoying your summer. Your friend, Pecos.

Hey Sara, I really liked the dancing llama too. Also that www.r4t5.com site is really funny. Any site that likes Hoff as much as me is worth its weight in gold.

I like the shirt with the slogan of "Don't Hassel the Hoff" myself, and it makes me laugh every time I see it.
I love DH poking fun at himself with the shirt; it's great!
Looking forward to the show tomorrow night and good luck with performing your musical show in Melbourne, Australia, DH!

I already picked the winner a long time ago and that's the quick change artists. Mark my words. They are the only act that literally floored me. Don't get me wrong, there are some terrific acts, but none that can beat the quick change artists!

Looking forward to the show later on tonight...I've been taping all of them each week. :-) All the DHCA club members are following this show like crazy...In the last 2 weeks over 100 new members have joined the club! Question/comment:
I love the show. I've been whatching it every week and can't get enough of it. Bianca/the 11 yr old who sings/ is my favorite right now, I can NOT wait to see her tonight. The power, pasion, phyisical strength and movements amazes me.
The question would be. And I want you to take me seriously, so please read this...
I love to sing. Been doing it since I could make baby noices. I would make my own songs, canse I couldn't talk yet. I actualy remember walking around the house, making my voice going up and down llike singers do. I loved the sound of it. The feeling of it. I sang in church and I would sing infront of ANYBODY that would listen. I could belt anything, high or low.
About 12 years into my life I started doubting myself. I don't know why or where it came from .I knew I could sing, but I just didn't think I could sing good enough to be anything with it. I have felt that way untill about 2 weeks ago.
I was in my car, driving to see mom. I was singing to some songs that I really love, that move me alot*Christain songs..go figure* Any way. I don't understand what happend, but it just came out of me. And when it did, it hit me..BOOM! I could remember my childhood. Singing the way I did. I could sing, It WAS there. I've been in chorus for like 13 years. and most of it I went thinking I couldn't do it. I don't get it. Cause I can! My love in this world, in my soul, my heart, my mind, my body, is singing. I whatch ppl sing and cry at their expence, because it's such a beautiful sight and sound. Theres nothing in this place other than my Lord and Savior Jeus Christ, that makes me feel so alive in side and happy.
I'm not a person of money. I'm engaged, we have a 16 month old amazing little girl. We're staying with His parents. Rently 3 bedrooms up stairs. Not the best place on alot of levels to be living, but we don't have much of a choice right now. My fiance is a manager in retail. I'm the stay at home mom. I didn't come from a family of wealth. I can't just fly or drive somewhere to try out for something. I don't know what I should be doing David. Please, I know you have a hectic life style, but could you find a moment, just a moment of your time, to emial me . I'd give you my address or @, cause it's more sensible but not online for the world to see. I really would like to hear your opinion.
ika_11402@yahoo.com
Thank you so much, I appreciate what ever you can say or do for me.

Dear David
Can't wait until tonight to see you on AGT. I never miss any of the shows. I watch the repeats on the Bravo channel as well just to watch you. I read that you might not come back for next year's AGT. The show is nothing without you. Please reconsider.
As far as I'm concerned you've always been king. Keep up the great work you're doing on the show.

I don't blame you for leaving this show David, you are so much better than this junk. What a horrible rip-off of the Gong Show! I can't beleive you even took the spot. Simon is such a sell-out. I really hope you find better ways to use your talents David, and wish you the best in whatever you do

geez hoff...do you even bother to read stuff from your fans?

p.s. hoff cut a tendon when a chandelier fell on his arm when he bumped into it. i found this out by going to the-trades.com and reading their reviews. there is also a really kewl video of the hoff where he sings!!

Hi David,
I love the show. I live in Holland and am very happy NBC puts the video's online, so people abroad can watch the performances too. My favorite is Bianca Ryan. I've seen her performance at least 200 times and still she amazes me. She is the best, hope she wins.
Best of luck with the show.
Kind regards from Amsterdam,

You've got to be kidding me....1013 Concept was put through, but not PBM????? Come on...at least you could follow a PBM tune....these guys sounded like they weren't even playing the same song......BRING BACK PBM!!!!!!!!!!!!
Posted by: MJ | July 27, 2006 01:59 AM
I love the show. There is only one problem for the viewing audience at home. The camera keeps pulling away from the stage and viewing the audience and judges. It makes it difficult for us to see what is going on half the time. We tend to miss a few things that are happening at the moment.
Posted by: Laurie | July 27, 2006 02:02 AM
I do love watching the show. But I think the judges should be a little more critical. Piers seems to be the only one really telling like it is. Come on, if you are picking out real talent, you have to be very critical. Some of these acts shouldn't have made it to the second round and some should have. Stop being so nice. Or are you worried about the way people might perceive you. I admire Piers for being so honest.
Posted by: Teresa | July 27, 2006 02:13 AM
I think the judging for the magic act with elliot sucked,I guess it didn't show enough tixx and asx to be judged good. I thought it was awesome for someone to have that much talent to do magic tricks like that and then to get 3 x's I think america should have the chance to x out the judges. That would be very cool. Well now I know why I don't ever watch this no more and after that Why would I.

Since you are brave enough to put a blog up, I have to comment on the very talented 11 year old, redhead. OH MY GOD!!! Did you really hear that voice. I almost felt that Janice was there with her. She so stepped out of her comfort zone. I have to give her such big KOODOS. This kid has talent beyond what she even knows yet. I am sure that her Dad could not be more proud. Great show!!

you gotta be kidding me. i just lost all interest in this show. how in the world could you guys pick the rapping granny, and lie to her with a straight face.
Posted by: kevin | July 27, 2006 03:02 AM
Love the show. Too bad the camera works is so horrible. I tune in to watch the acts, not the dang audience.
Voting the Rapping Granny in was a joke. No way she was the most talented tonight. Sad.
Posted by: Tim Bishop | July 27, 2006 03:05 AM
ARE U KIDDING ME SHE (granny) SUCKS. ARE U DEAF DID U NOT HEAR HER SCREAM THATS NOT RAP. IT SOUNDS LIKE SHE WAS HAVING A SEIZURE. DAMN CLEAN OUT YOUR EARS.
Posted by: jim | July 27, 2006 03:05 AM
concept 1013 should've made it, they were decent. Rapping granny is cute, but not the most talented. The magican (shot from the canon) was ok too.
I didn't see the end of the show, who go voted through?
The b-ball guys were very good.
Posted by: hector | July 27, 2006 03:09 AM
we HATED your pick for July 26th.............rappin granny was AWFUL...........the magician was by far the greatest act of the night!!!!

Are they kidding me.. rappin grandma was awful! yet she got the vote over real talent.. unreal
Posted by: Christine | July 27, 2006 03:10 AM
I have to agree -- the rapping granny was pretty bad, mostly a novelty act getting a sympathy vote. Don't get me wrong -- I think it's amazing that a 72-year old has the cajones to get up in front of a national audience and strut like that -- but the most talented? I have to disagree. My vote still goes for Bianca Ryan, even though she made a bad choice of song. Janis Joplin she's not. At least not yet. :-)
Posted by: Michael | July 27, 2006 03:10 AM
I can't believe with all the talent on the show that you guys would chose to sent rapping granny on. She has no talent, and it is very sad to watch. If she gets through the final, I'll know the show is rigged.
Posted by: Anonymous | July 27, 2006 03:11 AM
David, You were more human tonight and more honest. Good for you, there is still hope.....for you
Thought Granny was OK but the only reason she made it was that most of the others on the show tonite were really bad. The illusionist was great, I liked him better than Granny. The 11 yr old girl that sang Janice Joplens hit was ok, but she didnt hit it like she did the other time.

Personally, I think you chose a great lady as part of the final event. She has presence and I was totally entertain even though I do not listen to rap music. I like how she was able to gather the attention of the crowd and I am sure the T.V. audience will agree.

Bianca Ryan is amazing!!! Were the judges bribed/drunk/insane? Is that why they chose that horrible rapping granny??!! Why didn't they chose the 11 year old red-head? She's great! If that girl ever came out with a CD, I would buy it.
Posted by: Sarah | July 27, 2006 03:13 AM
Vote Stilt world! they got TALENT. What they do is fantastic! you will love to watch them again. you dont see it much, and they got it
Posted by: scobie | July 27, 2006 03:13 AM
Good show the granny should not be in next round! I agree the judges need to be more harsh and not like everyone...
Posted by: Timothy | July 27, 2006 03:13 AM
Piers rules.. He is the only honest judge. Both David and Brandi are too scared to tell some contestants that they stink. I guess they just do not want the audience to boo them. brandi has too much of a soft heart to be a true judge.
Posted by: sdc | July 27, 2006 03:13 AM
Thanks a lot for making a fun and entertaining show stupid by picking the worst act as the judge’s choice. Rapping Granny has zero talent! I think it’s time to stop watching this show! Very disappointing!
Posted by: KL | July 27, 2006 03:14 AM
Hey david! I really enjoyed tonight's show! I was really surprized that the judges unanimously picked rappin' granny, but nonetheless, I'm sure she would have gotten it anyway. I personally loved Nathan Burton. Can't wait for more! -Jonathan PS: I was watching reruns of whose line is it anyway and saw you, it was hilarious! ^_^
Posted by: Jonathan | July 27, 2006 03:14 AM
why could you pick rappi'n granny Bianca Ryan was sooo much better. Even though the song she sang tonight wasn't the best, she has some real talent, she should win.
Posted by: eddie doug | July 27, 2006 03:14 AM

How could you Hasslehoff?!

Yo BTW even The trumpster xkant hassle the Hoff!
Posted by: Alxa | July 27, 2006 03:15 AM
WHAT?????? RAPPIN GRANNY?????? Bianca Ryan by far has more talent in her tiny little toe then that rapping granny does in her whole body......come on judges! you are looking for TALENT!!!!!
Posted by: SashaCat | July 27, 2006 03:15 AM
Hey Hoff, I'm not going to watch this show any more since you put through Rappin' Granny! That's the biggest joke since the old guy that was a stripper!!!!
Posted by: Greg | July 27, 2006 03:16 AM
the judge's choice this week was mediocre at best. There was so much talent that to choose a mediocre act for nothing more than a sympathy vote is betraying the honesty of the program. Just because someone is 72, jumps around, and yells into a mike doesn't make them worthy of being put through ahead of other far more talented acts. I am extremely disappointed at such a sell out. You lost me as a fan and a viewer with that vote.
Posted by: Bob Pittman | July 27, 2006 03:16 AM
Yo Bianca is better than the Granny she would be loved Buy Simon Cowell but not by u 3
Posted by: Alxa | July 27, 2006 03:17 AM
Sarah, I totally agree! Brandy hit it right on though. Her first week was better. Even though this week was not as good, she STILL blew away the competition! I am using every vote on the red-head!
Posted by: Jason | July 27, 2006 03:17 AM
The judges could not have disappointed the viewing audience more. Rapping Granny? What were guys smoking before the show?
Posted by: Kay | July 27, 2006 03:18 AM
Rapping granny was exactly that a granny! What a joke. The other have been working on thier talkent for years and were so much better. The judges voted in granny cause they knew america wouldn't. Now either the magican or bianca is going to get cut David you just lost your "Hoff" points big time!!!!!!!!!
Posted by: andrea green | July 27, 2006 03:19 AM
Just curious how three non-talented people were chosen to be judges for a million dollar prize?
Posted by: Larry | July 27, 2006 03:19 AM
Mr. H:
Please let us know by which qualitative standard Granny's purported "talent" is superior to that of Bianca? I am gravely disappointed.
Granny is a cute and novel act, but, as your peer from the Big Isle is so quick to remind us, this is a "TALENT" competition.
Slap yourselves.

Thanks for taking 1 more thing off my to do list, watching your show.
Once again NBC has found a way to make a good ideal a flop.
Picking the raping granny over the 4 or 5 better acts shows that you are not in
this to showcase talent.
I guess you guys will make Leno's show tonight, at lease I'll get a laugh out of your final show for me.
Posted by: garrett | July 27, 2006 03:20 AM
I think I lost all interest in this show tonight. And it isnt because you picked the rapping granny. I don't even think anyone will read this comment...but the contact us button is confusing.
i feel like this show isnt about talent at all...but rather a minimalistic view of three people's opinions of talent.
whats the point in voting really? when the votes will only choose one person or act?
i think this show is afraid of things outside the norm when really it should just realize talent for what it is.
what kind of comment is.." i cant pass you, its not my thing?"
im done watching this show.
and i think brandy is just pissed because moesha got canceled.

Just can't believe you guys picked granny over Bianca. That girl has one of the best voices I have ever heard. I am done with your show.
Posted by: glennj | July 27, 2006 03:20 AM
And I thought Piers knew talent. Rapping Granny is a sideshow act and is not worth $500 much less a $1,000,000. The 12 year old girl has far more talent. The magician that popped up behind the judges reminds me of Lance Burton (who did a similar routine) and Burton is world-class. The judges lost all of their creditability in my eyes tonight. My pick to go all the way is Taylor Ware (and the judges didn't get that right either - the harmonica player is just a noise maker). Taylor has stage presence and command of her talent - I bet the judges wish they themselves had that too.
Posted by: stu | July 27, 2006 03:20 AM
There is only one way to sum up tonight's show...THE RAPPING GRANNY SUCKED REALLY REALLY BADLY!! CAN ANYONE SAY AFFIRMATIVE ACTION?!

As Pierce ramarked,"This is not American Idol". I couldnt agree more. With the results of the judges votes tonight, I cant watch this with the enthusiasm that is given to American Idol. With contestants that could rival David Copperfield or the next Leann Rymes, The judges choose "Rappin Granny"! Are you kidding me! This show and its judges has lost all credability with the American Audience. What value will come to promoters, producers or the industry by passing through an act that has no talent worth other than novalty. The show that started off with a fresh idea has just closed the curtain on a second season. I cant watch it thinking that one of these talents has a chance to become a star based off the recognition of the judges. If I were the Millers, I would void the contract I signed with these clowns to appear on this show. Too Bad.
Posted by: Kenny Thornton | July 27, 2006 03:23 AM
You have got to be kidding!!! A mediocre at best Rappin Granny, who has not got the potential to become a star nor the talent over Bianca. This kid has more talent in her little finger than the entire line up for the entire show. The talent it there, the drive is there, the stage presence is there. She's the total package. Could she have picked a better song, maybe. Even with that, she blew away everyone else. Very poor choice. I was hoping that the judges would vote on talent and potential. Tonight's vote showed that it's not about talent and potential and who deserves the million. It's about mediocre novelty acts.
I';m truly disappointed in the three judges. I just can't believe it. Realis last week and Rappin Granny this week. What were you guys on when you made these your best picks?

Did everyone rewind their tivo and see the magician escape from the box through the staircase?
Also Bianca Ryan is a born talent - a million dollar voice.
The rappin granny is just a stunt. America please give Bianca the chance she deserves!!

I am sorry the judges didn't recognize Bianca's choice to show her range by doing Janice Joplin. Does anybody know anyone who has EVER hit her sound and range? A female vocalist - without just screeching it out? Biana did. I would love to hear that little girl do a serious Tina Turner song.

It's believable that rapping granny was the judges choice tonight out of the talent that was shown! Come on Piers, you of all the judges keep stating that you are "supposedly" looking for an act that could go somewhere. Do the three of you actually think that the rapping granny could really become a real act??? How about giving some of these young people a chance at a real and productive career. Please keep in mind the very thing that you yourselves are telling the contestants on your show when you are judging the remaining talent. By choosing to pass through the rapping granny you've just eliminated a potential new star for the world to see and enjoy.

I cannot believe that you put through Rappin Granny. What a joke. There is something really wrong with this show.
Posted by: Jeff | July 27, 2006 03:24 AM
My family and I cannot believe that you 3 put the Rappin Granny through to the next round. I can't believe we have to sit through another show with her in it. That was a rediculous pick. Yes, she's nice but not a million dollar TALENT! Personally, I wish rap would fade away forever!
Posted by: RDelaware | July 27, 2006 03:25 AM
Voting the Rapping Granny in was a joke, why in the world would you judges do that? No way she was the most talented tonight. Sad. Especially since all I have been hearing since the semi finals from you judges is the comparison of the ones you did not choose were not of the same caliber as ones you chose the past several weeks. Lets be real, do you really think the rapping granny has a chance against the likes of "all that", "Realis", and "The Millers" just to name a few. What is the matter with you three or was this just a "pity" vote in or was she just chosen so you'd have someone to through out during the finals? I am very upset and disappointed at the choice you three made tonight hoping you would have chosen one of the two I feel truly qualified for the spot i.e. Nathan Burton (blew me away) and Bianca Ryan (Power house with so much more to give).

I really like the show, and I loved the magician that appeared behind the judges (he should of gotten in!), but the Raping Granny had no talent. I think it was a pity vote because she's old. If a young person came in with the exact same talent, s/he would get booed off the stage. I could hardly tell what she was saying, except for her saying to kneel over and over. She was just yelling and trying to rhyme! I am really surprised that she made it to the second round, and way more surprised that she got put through again! The show's called 'America's Got Talent', but Granny doesn't.

I agree with some of you about "Granny". I understood about 3 words she said. Of course, with rap that's usually the way it is. Keep voicing your opinions , but please, learn how to spell and use english for goodness sakes. Just use your voting rights, and vote. I did.

I think the judges have made a serious error in judgment by picking Rappin' Granny when there were many other acts with real talent on tonight's show. In my opinion you three have done a real injustice to those talented people and the judging panel owes them all an apology. How in the world could you guys pick Rappin' Granny over any of the others? You must have seen or heard something I didn't.
Posted by: James Johnson | July 27, 2006 03:26 AM
David,
What's up with the judges choice tonight? I don't understand how you all could have picked the least talented act of the night. The panel keeps telling the contestants to try harder and then you all pass over really talented acts and pick a no-rappin rapper. Everyone in the house here was SHOCKED! by your pick. The stilt girl that fell has 10 times more talent than the no-rapper grandma. This sure as heck isn't a million dollar act! I wouldn't pay $1 for her first CD(or any other one).

Rappin' Granny was good but not as good as the magician that showed up in the audience after his picture was shot out of a cannon. As for Bianca Ryan..OMG...she was awful. Screaming and yelling - one of the worst performances I've seen EVER and I've seen alot of them. I'm not saying she doesn't have talent but she needs to get someone behind her to advise her on the types of songs she needs to choose.
Overall tonights show was mediocre. The magician should have been moved on instead of the Rappin' Granny but that's showbiz folks!

Wow, I really think that Nathan Burton was amazing, he was by far the best act of the night. Rapping Granny was okay, but he was MUCH better. Bianca wasn't nearly as good as she was last time. Some of these acts should not have gotten through AT ALL. That one guy that wore pink when he got voted off and way too much eye make up was completely aweful, thank goodness you didn't let him through. And, that Kenny Shelton WAS HORRIBLE. He has no talent what so ever. You should have learned when he was dropping all of his stuff the first time he was on. My goodness, who lets such horrible 'talent' through? Honestly.

David, you are the nicest funniest and sweetest judge on the show. Thank you, keep it up i really enjoy watching you.
Posted by: Joanna | July 27, 2006 03:28 AM
You Judges are inconsistent and a joke. One minute you are telling acts they have to be worthy of winning a million dollars and raise the bar and the nect you pick rappin granny? Even your advice to the acts changes from show to show. You guys told Ten13Concept that they needed more horns after their first performance and then complain about the horns during the second performance. Rappin granny was one of the worst acts tonight.
Posted by: Neil | July 27, 2006 03:29 AM
With all of the real talent on the show how could you guys pick the granny, that stuff takes no talent. Get real and vote for the ones with real talent.Disgusting.Dont know if i will watch any more of the shows.

Dear God, Please tell me those dumbass judges were being threatned, by crappin grannys family, and thats why they passed her thru!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Posted by: chris | July 27, 2006 03:29 AM
I think that Bianca has a fantastic voice, her song was definately NOT right for her, but she can sing....The magician Burton was very talented....they both deserve to go on.....but........why did you chose "THE RAPPING GRANNY"?????? she is not talented enough for a million dollar prize....she is more of a novelty act..but it was your choice....I've enjoyed the show....Keep Piers in line.

voting granny terrible!!! acrodunk great illutionist great bianca great. anyone of those could of gone through what were you thinking
Posted by: liz | July 27, 2006 03:31 AM
Hey! I like you best in your black leather jacket, although you did look very distinguished during tonight's show! Out of all the judges, I agree with you the most, however, I do not feel that Rappin' Granny displayed the most talent! Spunk, yes, kudos to someone of her age, but in my eyes, Nathan Burton exhibited the most remarkable talent, while the Acrodunk Team was most diversified. Thanks for taking part in this show! We look forward to the finals!!!

Piers seems to be the one with the best advice for the entertainers even though at times he drives me nuts.

David Hasselhoff, what is with your hair? Is that way the German's wear it?

Bianca is undoubtedly the most natural, gifted, talented person on the show. She is fantastic now at such a young age and will no doubt be a humungus talent as she ages. A real talent and breath of fresh air for all to enjoy now and always.

HEllo quit talking down the granny...shes so not the worst act to grace the stage I like her and bianca will most likely get viewers choice anyway...
Posted by: aly | July 27, 2006 03:32 AM
I was so disappointed in judging tonight. Granny had 73 years to practice, and anyone can see that Bianca passed her by age 2. What were you thinking? Comedy act or talent? I feel like crying for the little girl who got cheated tonight.
Posted by: Varona | July 27, 2006 03:33 AM
Happy to see others are behind Bianca Ryan. My votes are in, but I could only call 4 times on the phone, the lines were busy. I hope that is a good sign. I had to finish voting online. I hope they without online capabilities don't give up trying to get votes for NUMBER 8 submitted. NBC, that is for you!

Judges, just for your information, a talent, according to The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language, 4th Ed. is 1. a marked innate ability, as for artistic accomplishment or 2. natural endowment or ability of a superior quality. Rappin' Granny merely recites poetry (something anyone can do) without innate or natural ability and certainly without superior quality. I'm through with this farce!!! Bianca is great - this young lady can sing!!!!!!
Posted by: Pam | July 27, 2006 03:35 AM
What on earth would justify picking Rappin Granny for the final??? I will admit I am not a fan of rap. But three years from now would you see yourself paying $15.00 for a Rappin Granny CD
or a Bianca Ryan CD. Bianca clearly showed the most talent in today's show. As with most of these shows novelty wins over talent. If Ryan doesn't make it in the fan voting this show is a joke. That girl can flat sing!!!!!
Posted by: Jerry | July 27, 2006 03:35 AM
Are you kidding me? A RAPPIN GRANNY? These judges have lost their minds. Do you think Simon Cowell would have put this lady through with such a talent in the wings like Briana? Someone needs to speak to the "producer" (and we know who that is) to instruct his employees to do the right thing. Keep the bullcrap where it belongs. America is not as stupid as these producers seem to think they are. If that girl doesn't get through (and I voted for her) then this is one person who will no longer watch the show and will instruct everyone she knows to do the same. I am appauled! Not to say that a rappin Granny isn't cute but ANYONE CAN DO WHAT SHE'S DOING. Please fix this or you have lost a fan.
Posted by: Denise | July 27, 2006 03:35 AM
How can the talent (or lack of) of the "Rappin' Granny" even be compared to that of The Millers, Taylor Ware, etc? She is not even in the same ballpark... even the same planet!
Posted by: Bryan | July 27, 2006 03:36 AM
Biana Ryan can only get the popular vote IF people can get through without giving up on the busy signal. So, we know voters are trying to get through, BUT CAN THEY? That would be a cheated contestant!
