I'm excited to be blogging for America's Got Talent.
It's such a fun show to be a part of and now that we're entering the
semi-finals, the stakes are being raised. A million bucks at stake!
I gotta admit, I didn't know much about clogging before AGT, but now I'm a fan.
What did you all think? Do you have favorites?
Be sure to vote each week because now you have a chance to help pick the winners!
I just got back from London to promote my film, "Click", and my book among other things.
Look for me on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, TONIGHT!
I'll be back next week with more insights, until then - The Hoff
Comments
Hoff is the man, I mean he was Michael Knight, but how can a man who did this video (Click link below) be judging the talent of others. No disrespect to THE HOFF, but come on now.

hey leave dave alone man...hes hot..didnt he star a long time ago on the young and restless as snapper..jills doctor brother?..and i think jill had another brother..and ya know..theyve been missing for years..like 20 or so..i think snapper went into a closet for medical supplies and hasnt come out yet...

That video of Hasselhoff's video is tremendous.
As long as The Hoff is smart and votes Dave the Horn Guy in, he'll be fine. Dave the Horn Guy is a very creative act and is genuine entertainment, great great stuff - he should definitely make the final. Horn Guy you rock!!!
Posted by: thompson | July 15, 2006 05:16 AM
Where is the horn guy anyways... he was pretty sweet.
Posted by: melvin231 | July 15, 2006 05:23 AM
Hooga hooga hooga sucka, yeah that video is way to yucka. Hoff sweetie are you on meds? Maybe you should be! You're lucky she didn't give you the bird. In spite of it all it's a fun show and my comments are all in fun too. I just had to be a little goofy also. Have fun with the show you look like you are so keep on doing it you look great.

Hi, I love the show, which is a lot better than the updated version of "Star Search".
Thanks for doing the blog---and keep up the good work on "America's Got Talent"!
Also, I'm a fan of your music, so thanks for the videos to the songs "Secret Agent Man" and "Jump in My Car"; both videos are fun to watch.
Same goes for the "Hooked on a Feeling" video, too.

Dear David
I love watching you on AGT. You are awesome. You're more entertaining then some of the performers on stage. I'm happy that you're enjoying doing the show. Keep up the great work you're doing. I watch AGT because of you. Ordinarily, I don't watch reality shows. I hope you continue judging the show for the next season.
Barb
Looking forward to your next blog.

Hey, I watched the show Wednesday night and I hear you don't like jugglers, I don't either. That guy had some talent, but not much. Not to mention his attitude, acting like he's some big macho star, telling you how long he's been doing it, who cares!!! He dropped a ball, you and I both know, but instead he blamed it on his assistant. Good job with the show, I'll keep watching!!!

I'm not that much of a reality TV fan, but "America's Got Talent" works for me in ways that "American Idol" hasn't, so I'm sort of liking that show a little more now.
I never thought anything produced by Simon Cowell would ever work on TV at all, but "America's Got Talent" is the exception to that rule.
One of the best parts of your music for me is when you sing in foreign languages, and you bring out the beauty in the languages you sing in, even if you may not speak the languages that well.
Keep up your good work on "America's Got Talent", DH!

Hoff:
America may have some talent, but as a judge, you sure don't know what talent it. The Millers, give me a break. I know you hurt your hand, maybe it affected your brain.
Posted by: Dave Nelson | July 15, 2006 09:06 PM
Hi David,
I am so a big Fan of you. I love you as singer and as actor. Of Course you are my favorite judge on AGT.
When you will come back to good old Germany? We´re missing you!!!
In Love
Julia Kimmerle, Germany
Posted by: Julia Kimmerle | July 15, 2006 09:38 PM
Hi,
Just want to say that The Millers are quite ordinary and someone with more talent should have been voted through by the judges. The clog dancers were much better than the duo that was chosen .
Posted by: Virginia Wiper | July 15, 2006 10:26 PM
Here are my thoughts on who my choices were:
I couldn't choose just one act online for the first semi-final; I chose 4, one at a time:
Taylor Ware
the harp player/singer
Alexis Jordan
and finally,
All That, the tap dancing guys.
The harmonica kid did better at playing the harmonica during his 2nd performance with his brother.
I'm glad the stripper guy wasn't one of the performers in the 1st semi-finals; he's freaking nuts!
I'm glad Taylor Ware won the first spot, since she's a good yodeler, and since the singer Jewel made yodeling fashionable.
Posted by: Lyn Henri | July 15, 2006 11:26 PM
I agree with the Miller boys for first pick and we voted for All That. They were great too....
Posted by: KL | July 16, 2006 12:20 AM
I think "America's Got Talent" is the funniest talent show on TV right now, and I don't think I ever laughed so hard while watching a TV talent search at all. Really!
I hope the comedic aspect of the show continues.
You did well with your latest visit to Jay Leno's show last night, and you were both funny and serious with Jay Leno, too.
In a previous life, you and the other two judges, Brandy and Piers Morgan were a really hilarious comedy act.
I mean that in the best possible way!
Despite this show being your first time as a TV talent show judge, you're doing very well.
Posted by: Lyn Henri | July 16, 2006 02:03 AM
Dear David,
You do a fantastic job on AGT! You bring so much to this show by making it more fun and entertaining with your keen eye for talent as well as your sharp wit. My friends and I are very happy to see you in AGT each week and we hope that you will continue with this show for a long time to come. I loved Click as well and hope to see you in more feature films! I get so many emails everyday from fans who tell me how much they love all your work and how much they enjoy seeing you on AGT. A big CONGRATULATIONS to you on all your sucess from the David Hasselhoff Club Of America! You are truly a bright shining STAR; Keep up the great work!

If ever there was a genre of TV that's taken itself much too seriously, it's the present form of reality TV, so thanks for adding a much-needed levity to it, and helping the genre to not take itself so seriously.
Also, I appreciate your intensity and opinions, even though folks may not agree with you, and it's good you don't care too much about jugglers.
I've been a fan of your music ever since I first heard you sing on "Knight Rider", and a good part of your music is when I get deeply touched while I hear you sing in different languages, so I thank you for the sing "Stille Nacht" tonight.
Beautiful song!
Posted by: Lyn Henri | July 16, 2006 06:31 AM
Good job David! Really proud of you. You're an excellent judge, and I agree with pretty much all your decisions thus far. I'm also glad you can laugh at your "Hooked on a Feeling" video!
Also want to give a shoutout from everyone at the HasselZone at dhasselhoff.net! We're all pulling for you! None of us believe what Pamela is saying about you, because we've found articles that back up what really happened at the Hotel and at Wimbeldon. We're also proud of you for being the bigger man and handling it in a very mature manner.
Can't wait for the next blog and episode! Good luck in the future.

whats this i here about dave the horn guy?
a creative act?
no
That guy has obviously spent a very limited time on the internet, or else he would have heard about the great Maestro.
go ahead, google "maestro horn", or go to this site:
http://www.lookatentertainment.com/v/v-444.htm
that video has been around for years, and his horns are spread out much better. if you look at dave, you'll see that at his waist he has three horns all strapped together. not only is that less visually appealing, it also makes it easy for him to press the wrong horn.
im sorry, but dave has no way of getting to the semi finals.
my bet is that he gets eliminated without going back on stage, just like the stripper

I remember you singing a song called "Freedom for the World", 15 years ago, and in this chaotic day and age, it's sure an appropriate song for us all, America and abroad, these days.
Also, "Looking for Freedom" is a good song for America these days. 'Nuff said!

Hi David!
I think AGT is great--it has outstanding talent and absolute hilarity. My personal favorites this week were Taylor Ware and the cloggers; the Millers' performance was not one I personally enjoyed as I prefer country, Christian, soft rock or your music.
I hope your book will be available in the US--I'm looking forward to reading it.
Take care, God Bless and Happy Birthday from a serious US fan.

See ya!

I totally loved it when you said, "Don't hassel the Hoff", to Regis Philbin when he asked you why you hated jugglers, so I hope you have more funny comebacks to come!
Your humor is one of the best things about the show.
Rock on with your music, DH!
I echo the sentiment of "Long live the Hoff!" myself....

The Millers the Millers the Millers!!! They brang tears to my eyes during the performance and tears to my eyes after the perfomance. The charisma and heart these kids put onto stage sends chills to tv watchers who were by now numb to tv reality shows!!! Its pure and talent that is hard to come by. !

Dear Mr. Hasselhoff,
I caught the end part of the show last week and am moved to make a comment. The Miller's were wonderful and I agree that the younger boy is very talented, however, if you could be so kind, would you pass on a comment to the other gentelman judge for me?
It is appropriate to be critical of the talent when you are a judge of it, but never is it appropriate when a judge of the talent is critical of the person beyond that of the talent.
[By making the boy cry in telling him to rid himself of a brother to further his career is not only shamful of him but it shames all of us]
I apologize to you in advance for using this venue for my comment. Barbara
PS: I saw 'Click' last week-hilarious & heartbreaking. I enjoyed it enormously. bravo

Posted by: Ann | July 17, 2006 04:35 PM
Hey, i love All That! I'm on a clogging team in North Carolina & i just love clogging. It's awesome to see people are finally getting to see what competitive clogging like this is all about. When you talk about clogging most people (the people who even know what it is) think it's just some mid-pace country music tap-dancing but i'm really glad people are finally seeing how entertaining it can be!! I'm deffinately voting for them!
Posted by: Ashley | July 17, 2006 05:51 PM
Hoff,
I was at Saturdays taping and had a blast. Althought it takes forever, it was still fun. I do have a comment. Stay in your seat and stay off the cell phone. You are a little full of yourself and you slowed down the show. I do think you have some of the best commentary when it comes to the acts. I have sworn to confidentiality so I won't get into content.

I think you should totally take up juggling so you can show the audience how little talent it actually takes. After being such a successful actor, something as silly as juggling should be nothing but child's play to THE HOFF.

Where's the little girl who Brandy said, "you're my favorite act on this show?" Was that too much favoritism?

Welcome back to the U.S. spotlight!
I like "America's Got Talent", since it's a show that really doesn't take itself too seriously at all.
Good to see you back in the spotlight again, and hopefully you will have a singing career here eventually, since I feel you're a good singer and that hasn't changed over the 22 years that I've been a fan of your singing.
Wishful thinking, but hey, that could happen....
Posted by: Lyn Henri | July 19, 2006 05:42 AM
Why aren't the one who did make it through to the semifinals not aired or even posted online for viewers to know that they have talents as well. It is not fair that this will be a disadvantage for those who did not get any airtime to those who did. Why show the dumb birdcalling lady when you can show some of the other talents we didn't get to see?
Posted by: Tracey La | July 19, 2006 06:54 AM
David,
I think you are doing a fantastic job judging. It's your presence that has attracted me to watching the show. And all of your latest accomplishments are amazing.
In reference to the 'tendon' commentary, I tore two tendons, and after surgery to correct the worst one, I was encouraged to keep moving my fingers to prevent muscle atrophy, the other one was never fixed, and I still have the ability to flex my fingers. I even remember being in that brace thing. Not comfy in the summertime.
But back to the main topic here, moving off the negativity, AGT is awesome, and I love the fact that it is giving people the chance to express themselves, as well as providng a well deserved surge to the positive Hasselhoff and Knight Rider communities on the net. Kudos!

David, I just wanted to say that I did enjoy AGT because I am a clogger myself down in Louisiana. I know the leader of All That and they are awesome!!! I wish that my dance partner and I could've known about the auditions.....that would've been awesome! But, good luck with your arm n stay cool!

Hi David, First of all I want to wish you a Happy Belated Birthday. I have loved watching you first in Knight Rider and Baywatch and I watch all your movies. You are the greatest.
I think you are very lucky to be on America's Got Talent. some of the acts are the greatest. I loved watching your face when my favorite Taylor Ware belted out her Yodeling talent. She is the greatest and she proves that you can do anything if you but you mind heart and soul into it. All That were great. The first time I ever saw men cloggin. I wish all the contestants the best. God Bless you and I hope you are feeling better since your attack couple of weeks ago. Love everything you do. A Fan forever, Joyce

Brandy was totally correct tonight about "Uniestity". Those GIRLS are WAY too young to be wearing clothes like that. I thought this was a family show, I wouldn't want my girls to be flaunting sex like that at the age of 15, 16, 17.....their mother's should teach them how to wear clothes.

David........LT gold and blue, do you remember your old high school?
You're wonderful. Keep up the great work!

David....you really should think about getting out of television, for the sake of the sanity of the free world.
Thank you.

OMG! I just watched The Hoff's video (Hooked on a Feeling) - is that a joke!? I really hope it is. I'm honestly embarrassed for the guy...excuse me The Hoff. Huge fan of him in Knight Rider....but that's about it....

I'd just like to say something about the judging. I feel Brandy judges too critically on the singers. I feel that she is too personal. She recieved the coaching and help vocally but most of the singers appearing tonight do not have that luxary, that's why they're there.

Dave,
I have been watching you since I was a little girl. Knight Rider was the best, infact I still watch the reruns. I think you show great heart with each of the performers. It is not easy to get up on stage and do something you love to do and have someone be mean. Great Job!

David,
You are the best 'judge'. Someone needs to explain the word judge to the judges! Make a decision; press your own buzzer. This show has gotten worse every week. After tonight, I won't be watching again. The judges couldn't decide? PLEASE! Give us a break.

Yes. My personal favorite in the competition is the yoddeling girl. SHE IS ABSOLUTLY AMAZING. I think she is alot more unique than the millers and i think that girl will win!!

I think that you should have voted on 7-19 instead of making everybody wait.

brandy sucks tonight she was just jealous of thoes girls cause they sang better than she ever did she need to quit hattin shes a hater and i think she needs to be exed off the show

David,I'm glad to see you being involved in something really special like this. I've been watching how you interact with the contestants, and I must say that even getting a rejection from you is pleasant! Your critiques of their performances has been done with class, character, and kindness. Keep it up darlin'--maybe Simon should be taking some lessons from you! Regards Always!

Dear David,
Ive been a fan of yours for more years than I can count, or remember. My mom and I both remember when you were "Snapper", on Y & R. Youve come so far, and done so much since then. I loved learning that you also have done broadway shows, and do so much to help terminally ill, and handicapped children with your charity. I was sorry to learn of your recent divorce. Ive been there myself. I am sure than you will always have faith, and believe in yourself, no matter what may happen. So sorry you have hurt your hand. Hope it is better soon. My husband and I love watching "America's Got Talent", but wish there was a better way to rate the different acts. Pitting acrobatists, against singers, or musical acts is hard when you have only 1 choice. I personally LOVE the cloggers act, and Realis. Ms Ware was good, but, having the Millers, AND her, Id have picked the cloggers from SC. A Texan in GA, who loves your work. Take care of yourself David. Ill keep you in my prayers.

David, you were the only judge that kept it real!!!
Posted by: Annie Jones | July 20, 2006 03:14 AM
I loved the cloggers! They should have stayed on the show! How come the Millers made it? I'm from IN and I don't know anybody around here that plays the harmonica that bad. But I'm a clogger, so I guess I'm a little prejudice. lol Anyway, I think the cloggers really should team up with the yodeler. The music she uses is perfect for cloggin! Good luck to everybody that was on the show tonight. I haven't seen all of it yet. Had to record it, but I caught the end. I can't belive the judges couldn't decide! :( Anyway, I'll watch all of it tomorrow. Bye!

I'm with Victor...where is Bianca? She was great. All three of you thought she could win this. She needs to get to the semi-finals!

This is a comment regarding the first post. The video had the total opposite affect on me that it had on Jimmy. I couldn't help but smile during the clip. Dave knows how to laugh at himself. He's an entertainer and I've loved him since Knight rider and then Bay Watch.
Dave, your character in the new Adam Sandler film, "Click" is very funny. I enjoy watching you and I'm glad you're back in the American eye, once again.

Geeze, tell Brandy to CHILL OUT. I loved the family of girls, they wre greta, and yeah, Brandy is right, they need dancing and singing lessons...they are living in a hotel for crying out loud...they don't have the luxury of hiring a voice coach/dancer >.

I enjoy the show so much. Knowing that you are a judge makes it even more enjoyable.
You're fair and kind to the mixed up bunch of talent on the show..lol.
I too, have been a fan of yours since the Young & Restless Days.
Longevity is the mark of a true star. In my opinion, you are one.
Sincerely,
Nina

Okay, is it just me or are there a lot of stalkers out there? I like you, Dave, but I'd be worried after reading these comments...missed you at x-mas...hello!!! I'm not even certain if these comments are for real or not...and Leonid...you have no talent! Get a life and go back to Siberia where maybe your bland and uninteresting talent will be appreciated!!! Start listening to the judges and to America and forget this silly dream of yours...or join a circus in Siberia!!!
