Now that I finally have escaped my father's grasps, I can post a blog entry.

As we were heading towards Las Vegas, strange folks intercepted us. They were driving a black van and clearly up to no good. They were men in black. I thought they belonged to some government agency and was trying to capture me because of my abilities. They were going to tie me up, probe me, and do lots of tests on me! Maybe even stuff me with fish biscuits. We almost got away, but they got un-special Ando-kun. I wasn't going to leave him behind. So I offered a trade and they ended up kidnapping me too. Sigh. Yet again, we've been distracted from my quest. Go back 3 spaces. It turns out they were no government agency. It was my father and my sister who awaited me as we got off the van.

To be honest, it was good to see my father and my sister. It's been less than a month since I've seen them, but it was good to know they are safe. My father is a very stern man. He is very traditional. He follows the rules and is very conservative. He's also very bull-headed. Once he sets his mind on something, he'll never give up. I guess I got my stubbornness from my father.

As his only son he expects me to follow his footsteps and be his heir. Sure it would pay well, but it's never about money. For adventure, I would give up all the money in the world. For freedom, I would take the path less taken. For peace, I would jump in front of danger and stare it down. Of course, it's much easier said than done. It would be nice to have my powers back. What would a powerless hero do when facing adversity? Currently, the popular option is to run. L1+R1. Maybe father can whip up a utility belt. Where's my Alfred when I need one? Hmm. Now that my big sister is executive vice president, maybe she can get the research and development folks to create some gadgets for me. I'm starting to become like Kouga Amagi without the girls.

I always have hope though. I can't and won't ever give up. My mission is to save the world!

I think I see Las Vegas. Yatta! Time to pop a waffle and go.

Just a thought, but has anyone given Ando a true chance, I mean maybe he has no powers, but maybe his power is directly related to your's Hiro. If you are causing ripples in time, then how do you return to your own time? By some type of marker. Maybe Ando is your marker. Make sure you and Ando are on great terms, make sure he is focused on the mission, and make sure you focus on his needs too.

Hiro, I have a theory as to why your powers aren't working. Perhaps you created a rift when you went back in time to try to save Charlie and it created ripples in time. Your ability to freeze time may be like water freezing: when the water is calm, it freezes easily, but if the water is rippling too much it is more difficult to freeze.

If my theory is true, hopefully the ripples will disipate soon so you can continue to be a hero.

Your sudden "power loss" is a psychological issue. The sword will raise your confidence back, it will "restore" your powers. Keep looking for it.

Hiro, I think you are focusing on the sword too much. Remember in Spider-man 2 when Peter did not have a clear focus on what he was doing with this powers they left him. Your problem is that you have lost you confidence. You still have confidence in your mission, yes. but you have lost faith in your powers and yourself as a hero. Your powers will return with your confidence. and remember... Do... Or Do not... There is no Try.

I'm worried about this quest for the sword. What if your powers don't come back when its in your hands? What than?

Your powers went bonkers when Charlie told you she was dying from a blood clot. You teleported home and you haven't really gotten them back yet.

I was wondering what is up with that trainer Hiro is always has on with the word 場違い (bachigai) on it. Does this mean Hiro is out of place or in the wrong place?

Anyway it seems weird that a Japanese guy would wear a jacket with such silly a saying on it. I suppose the writer's wanted to pass some secret message but it just doesn't make sense.

Oh, and Hiro's father's Japanese pronounciation is really bad, like Uma Thurman in Kill Bill, just making sounds without knowing what she was saying.

Hey Hiro. Just wanted to let you know that you have everyone's undying support. We all hope you get your powers back soon; timebending is too cool. I feel I should mention, however, that you need a cool superhero name,so you can go around incognito; that way, people who want to hurt you because of your powers can't hurt the ones you love.

Mission 11 - Find the source of the anger. Find my father.
I tried. I tried to quit the blog after the heroes show ended in season one. Not because I didn't still love the show. No, it was more that it impacted me deeply. Until this show, 'Run'. I see the pain that CLAIRE BENNET goes through in the show. In fact, even though I shouldn't tell you I understand completely. I have never known who my real father was. And, I didn't care before. Until just the other night, maybe it was the conversation, or maybe the searching I've been doing in myself and where I want to end up in 10 years. I understand more than anything the anger, the utter rage she felt. Was it abandonment issues? What brings this rage? Was it what i think happened in my childhood, the childhood I sought to escape so many times later on in life, with alcohol, drugs, whatever. Maybe telling stuff about yourself isn't a good thing. But I don't care anymore about that. I need to get this out, so the next mission is to find out. Where does the source of the anger originate? Is it common among those who have felt this way, experienced this? The isolation. The disassociation. The Depression that comes from nowhere. Sometimes I sit and watch a show and think to myself, why did I care about that show? It's just a tv show and then the realization comes again. You can't run from it. And the anger, it can consume you like we see with Nikki Sanders. Why am I telling you this? I thought I could quit the blog. A new mission is born. Somehow now it seems important to find my father and to understand the source of this anger. Mission 11, is to find others that feel this pain, perhaps we can help each other understand. I thought, I could quit this blog. But we cannot run, even when everything we thought was true was a lie.

You should cover the rip in the painting with fabric glue. That will make it look okay before it is framed.

Before dealing with this Linderman fellow, it would be wise to do a little research on a guy known as the Kingpin of Crime. Look in old Daredevil and Spiderman comics. I think Linderman is cut from the same cloth. You'll likely have to steal the sword, but it's possible that he will give it to you in return for a favor later. DO NOT MAKE THE DEAL!!! He's a Sith Lord. Just take what you need to complete the mission. It is your destiny!

Just remember Hiro, your father just loves you. Even if his evil henchmen do almost run you over with a van, threaten you with hand guns, kidnap you, and growl at you menacingly. It's just because he cares.

Dear Hiro,

As much as we try, sometimes it is impossible to escape our parents. No matter how far you travel they're always right there with you because a part of them resides in you. If your father is as tough as you say, I think it bodes well for your mission. It means that somewhere, deep inside, you know your strengths and will be able to call them out when needed. Don't give up hope. Perhaps your powers are just waiting for you to regain your confidence. I don't think you can just lose it like you'd lose a playing card or a sock. It is a part of you, and now that you've told us about your father, I bet it wants you to be strong and firm in your resolve before it comes back to you. If you need to, think of Charlie and how she made you feel in order to call back your powers. You were so strong and brave for her. You were, for a time, a knight in shining armor and a light in the darkness for her. You can be that again if you let the feelings about her wash over you and guard you like a shield. I'm sure you will find the powers returning to you if you try that. But you are just one person. You can bend the universe to your will. Power that great requires discipline to wield effectively (and safely). I wouldn't want to see you snatched away from our realm of space-time because you weren't absolutely ready or strong enough to live outside of the known. You are a precious gift to mankind. I would hate to see you snatched away before you can complete your mission.

Since you said you're away from your father, I can only assume that you're using your other gifts to bend the wills of men. Even without powers you can be strong and decisive. Take that as a sign that you are more than you think you are, and that success waits for you around the next corner.

I also have to say that I'm impressed by what a loyal friend you can be. Though Ando-kun might not appreciate being called un-special (we are all special in our own ways), I'm sure he was glad to have you by his side when your father's men took him. Again, you show strength beyond what you seem to expect from yourself. You truly are a hero. Going into the unknown with your head held high is not something that anyone would do. You impress me more and more as events unfold.

It was a good thing to meet your father and to have some level of reconciliation. At least you do not have Darth Vader as a father! Or at least you are not Alucard from Castlevania, then Dracula would be your father! He seems to have your best interests in mind, and this is good. He may not be like the ninja father of Ryu Hayabusa from Ninja Gaiden, but behind this stern exterior of his, he does care for you. He should have all the love and respect in the world for his teleporting son. And I'm sure he does.

Why wouldn't the sword give back your powers? Like any talisman, it's the beleif that makes it work, not neccesarily any inherent quality of the materials from which or the manner in which it is fashioned.

I'm a blacksmith and inventor. Things I make have a bit of a mythical quality to them, at least for me, because I made them. They DO something that I want them to do. An extension of my will. My foo.

So, hurry up and go get your bar and focus your foo.

Personally, I think you're wrong that the sword will give you back your powers. It doesn't follow any form of logic. Why would a naturally honed ability be augmented by any object, mythical or not? If you ask me, you should retrace your steps and start working in a boring office job again. It won't make for as good a story, but at least it follows some sort of reasoning. You were teleported to your office for a reason, Hiro!

P.S. In your earliest blog entries I got the impression you were using a translator to read the comments. Are you still doing that or have you picked up enough english to read them on your own?

Hiro! You still have your powers. How else do you explain the fact that you could use them in the museum, although limited?
Because you thought the sword was there and that it could enhance your powers just by your being close to it.
But as we know now, it wasn't the real deal. Which proves that the fact that you could use your powers only because you thought you should have been able to.
It's all in your head!
Now go kick some ass!
