My trip to New York was more than just a trip. It was a life changing event.

I found a comic starring me. I went to the author to find him dead with his brain missing. I got arrested. I found out I was five weeks into the future. I saw a nuclear explosion. I came back to present day Tokyo with the comic book in hand, my only proof that I went to the future.

Ok, so back to the beginning. I was looking for the ramen shop that people were recommending near Kinokuniya. Oh, by the way, I was able to repost my last blog entry that was on my cell phone. My phone's memory doesn't seen to get affected by time travelling. Cool. I was enjoying the sights and sounds of New York, but everyone was in a rush to get somewhere like Tokyo. Do New Yorkers smile? I thought they liked Japanese people because of Matsui. Boo. So, on my way to the book store,

I found a comic book with me on the cover. \(^o^)/ Wow! That's so cool, but quite perplexing. The scary newsstand owner wouldn't let me read it there so I had to make a run for it. I didn't steal it though. A hero would never steal. I payed him. In yen. In fact, I over payed him with 1000 yen. I even told him he can keep the change. (^_^)

The comic book retold everything I did yesterday. (?-?) I found the author's address on the back of the comic book and decided to go meet him. Do all American comic books put the address of their author's on the back? If so, I need to buy an X-Men so I can meet Stan Lee or Tim Sale.

I got to Mister Isaku's house and the door was unlocked! (O.o) I heard New York was dangerous but I guess it's safe enough to keep doors unlocked. I entered his house and it seemed pretty empty. I found many paintings and then I found an unfinished comic of myself. The first panel was me talking on the phone. The second panel was me looking at my watch. The third panel was me with eyes wide open with a look of shock. The fourth panel was empty. I then saw a trail of blood and then a gun next to it.

Note to all my fellow gamers. In a game, you see a weapon on the floor, you pick it up. In real life, you see a weapon on the floor, probably not a good idea to pick it up.

I followed the trail to find the author dead! \(>o<)/ Then the police rushes in, they yell something. My guess would be drop your weapons and put your hands up. Seems to be universal among all cops. The next thing I know I was being helped up by the cops. Guess I fainted. They started interrogating me. They were pretty mean, but it looked like they were Trekkies, so that was comforting. They tell me that it was not October 2 but November 8. Then I see a big flash and New York crumbling to a nuclear explosion like thing. I concentrate and I came back. After I returned to present day Tokyo I had a chance to do some soul searching at my grandfather's grave and now I know what I must do.

Do you believe in the Butterfly Effect? I do. Nobody has to see the future I saw. The future can be changed. That is my destiny.

I've been dreaming for a moment like this my whole life. I've become Chrono in Chrono Trigger or Trunks in Dragon Ball. I've become the hero in my own RPG. Except that this isn't a game. This is real. There is no saved game or cheat codes. I get no Phoenix Downs. There is no game over. There can't be.

I'm excited to take this journey as a hero. In reality, I'm scared. But I have to, and will overcome it. I will not be like Trunks or Akira. I won't live in a post-apocalyptic world. I'm going to save the world! I hope I find my Marle and Lucca though. And soon.

This is beginning of my adventure.

My great-grandma taught me that time is like a giant serpent that eats of itself. The serpent twists and turns, but each person only walks down a single path. It seems that you can choose which part of the serpent to travel.
I come from a city in the U.S. very close to Mexico. It was once called, "The Meeting Place". There are many superstitions here, mainly curandismo and shamanism. I did not believe in them before, and I would not have believed you either Mr. Hiro. all of this talk of nuclear annihilation and bending the space/time continuum is all well and good, and i understand the dire stakes at risk...but there's one very important question we all seem to be missing here: when did Tim Sale ever work on X-Men? You need to concentrate on moving without impinging on the temporal plane so you don't end up in the future. Just think of the place and look at the weather map so you can concentrate on whet time of day or night it is where you want to go.

Awesome TV show. The only part I dislike is the incredible amount of gore. You have such a good plot line! You don't need to dazzle the audience with gore.

For the people questioning Hiro's mysterious ability to read the comic book without being able to speak: In Japan English is largely taught as a written language, because it is more useful in Japan than conversational English would be. Assuming Hiro did pretty well in primary and secondary school, he probably remembers a good amount of written English!

OK I'm going to geek out for a second - So do you think that rather than teleporting you displaced yourself from time and allowed time to continue - thus the Earth rotated while you stayed in the same position until you finally crossed into the area you focused on? And that happened to be New York's Time Square some 5 weeks later? Wow thinking of all the possibilities. You could go minutes into the future and see if something was a bad idea or a good idea- then go back and convince whoever is with you to do it a different way...

((Come on Robert, we're just playing along. I'm sure none of us are delusional enough to think any of this is real or that some NBC writer isn't doing all of these. But I think a lot us have something in common with Hiro, we like our games and comics, and the idea of interacting with and helping a hero as he goes on a quest to save the world is fun. Lighten up.))

I suggest you play some fps's like counter-strike source to get your reaction time up, and to stop you from freaking out that you might die. It will keep you a clear thinker in situations like the cops bursting in on you.

Aside from that you need to explore your powers more. Like find out if your teleportation is related to your time manipulation powers. Like maybe you can change time for a certain amount of time without moving. Or maybe you can do the same with distance and teleportation with out affecting the time. But maybe each of those hae a sort of critical mass where they start taking time or distance to manipulate. Also you might want to find out if you move in certain directions during all this.

I hope that people don't really think this blog does anything to the show. This guy is an actor and it's not a real blog for that matter. I was just reading through a few and some of them are foolish. To all of you out there that see this find a hero that will stop North Korea or something. The comic book is in English. You asked, "how does he know what we are saying?" So obviously you know English. Yet when you called the guy in NY, you kept speaking in Japanese so the guy hanged up on you. This is inconsistent.

And what's up with that cheerleader? If she doesn't have the power, she would have died many times over. High school is not that dangerous and she would have died twice on school ground if she doesn't have the power. That is not realistic.

Ah! Omigosh that would be so cool, but scary at the same time I think. I mean, this guy's writing your life, and he seems to have all the answers, and the next thing you know, he's dead!! Oh, and don't forget: stop your watch. Since it doesn't seem to be affected, you can always travel back to that exact moment you left if your watch is stopped. Then, it's like nothing happened.

Hey Hiro! I love that you use references from Chrono Trigger when describing things. When I first saw your powers, it reminded me of Crono! I think you should use your powers to try and change the future, just like Crono and his gang. You could think of the nuclear explosion as Lavos landing on Earth, and you have to stop it. I hope you find some friends to help you, although I do think it would be odd if you found someone who was part human part frog to help you out, lol. Peace and much luck!

Big G posted a question that made me think further about the amount of time it takes for you to teleport. Does more time pass by the further you teleport? Can you teleport yourself back to New York at the present time or will it always take about five weeks?

I noticed that when you teleported to New York a large amount of time went by.. But yet it seems like none went by for the one to the womens restroom.

Oh, and landslide is a metaphor. You know what a mudslide is, right? When all the mud or land washes down the mountain and sometimes destroys houses. I know I saw news stories of one when I was in Japan. But anyway, 'win by a landslide' means a really big win, usually in politics. Like, so big the opposition is completely crushed like houses being destroyed in a landslide.

I've never been to New York, but I'm sure some of them smile. Just not the busy ones. Like Tokyo, and I have been there, they are all so busy that they forget what a wonderful place thety live in. I -do- know that it is not normal for people to keep their doors unlocked. That is never, ever, done, and was the first sign something wrong in Isaku-san's house. So if you go back, remember this.
And I think you -should- go back. I really don't know how one man can prevent such a terrible thing as a nuclear attack, but you might at least be able to help the comics artist, right? And since he had been drawing comics of you and your life, there is a chance that he has special powers too. Either that or he met you during late October and you told him what had happened.
If you go back, please try to have American money this time! You may be able to get by without a passport, as long as you are careful not to get in trouble with the police again, but you definitely need some money $$. As much as I whish I could be your sidekick, I know nothing about how to prevent the nuclear explosion. I suggest going after some guy called "Sylar" though. He seems to like freezing people's heads and stealing their brains. Or learning how to teleport other people and just not letting the artist be there when he was supposed to die. Or would that create a dangerous paradox? If it did create one, then stopping the explosion would make an even worse one. What if the universe gets stuck in a feedback loop?

As for the comic, I want to read it and any other "9th Wonder" you may find. Keep blogging!

If I'm not mistaken isn't Nathan Petrelli one of the canidates running for election to the U.S. House of Representatives. I can't seem to remember the other canidates name though. Idk, try googling for the canidates, or better yet ask jeeves.

But uh, yeah, landslide basically means that that person beat their opponent in the election by a lot.

Ahoy there Hiro! Its seems to me you need to work on control of your power. The good part about being able to travel in time as well as space, is that you should be able to take all the time you nedd to learn, and then get back to when you need to be to stop the big boom. Once you have control, take a compass with you, and make multiple jumps to New York on the day of the blast. You should be able to triangulate the epicenter of the blast. Just be careful not to get too close before you're ready.

Do you think you can teleport to present day New York... Or are you getting a passport this time :)

Watashi wa nihongo ga hanase masen! I am like you Hiro...sometimes my dreams come true. I once had a dream where I was sitting with my brother by a stream catching fish when another guy came along sat down and fished with us. In the dream it seemed all three of became fast friends. In real life I met him three years later...he is one my best friends and was the best man in my brother's wedding. Yesterday, I woke up after having another dream...another of my friends was murdered and I met all his family at the funeral. I really hope this dream didn't come true, but I can't get a response from him by email (no longer a valid address) or phone (disconnected). I wish I didn't have to sleep, so I don't have to dream.

We don't dislike Japanese people (I love Matsui-san), we do dislike tourist (Gomen). Next time act like you belong and bring some American Money. I'm sad you missed the Ramen shop I recommended, you'd probably like it.

yeah when i was watching the show i found it kind of slow- minded that Hiro picked up the gun, looked at it, looked at the cops then fainted. also i diddnt see any bullet holes in Isaku's body and his head looked frozen! thats a lil questionable
