Hiro, get some ice for your noise fast...or maybe some runecloth. Now would be a really good time to skill up your First Aid. And kick your friend from the group if he keeps acting the way he is and holding you back. No more wipes, get to New York!

They die, don't they? Maybe you can save your "Aunt Beru" and "Uncle Owen"...or maybe they have to die, as a kind of motivation for the hero (you, in this case) to do what he has to do to set things right. Heroes always experience a sort of loss before they become fully aware of their responsibility, it seems.

Hiro, You freaked me out for June 8, 2006 and prior to the show beginning I had been trying the same "stuff" that you do. Not nearly the success, more of the officer's talent put not that strong either. The manic attitude expressed yes, be glad you still have a friend. Too exciting seeing unheard of phenomena.

Posted By Jeff | 09:48 PM

you by far have the most potential. become the leader we know u are.

I had a crazy dream last night...the world was comming to a end and people were after me....It was like a fight between good and evil...it must of been the show...anyway i just stopped by to say Great show...

Hiro, I don't care what your friend thinks. You cant use your powers for personal gain, like money. It draws attention to you, and you need to be as invisible as possible. Because someone is or will be after you. Save the girl, save the world.

All the SW references make me wonder if there will be a 'LEGO Heroes' game out by the end of the year. ^_^;

Yess... I love using technology such as DUNEBUGGIES... I think some people should try, rather than their awesome dinos... (Kool but they move slow >

Thanks cyberyang. GYH it's been far too long since I last saw the original trilogy if I didn't recognize that. @o@

Hiro-san,

Seek out the Masumune and an Economizer.

An Ultima Spell is much needed, the cursed shield can provide.

Practice, you must develop defensively learn to respond by instinct if you abilities can not be accessed instinctively then it may be restricted in the need for self preservation meaning your ability come at great cost to you. Get money in Vegas, roulette is good no more than 9,000 dollars at a time no matter what you get never win on your own. Good luck, don't be afraid of the wind.

I run the Anime Club at my college, or I'm at least the secretary...

Have you played La Pucelle Tactics? (Or Disgaea) Looks like your powers level-up like Magic or Special Abilities in that. The more you use them, the more you can do with them.

Maybe saving People's lives gets you XP? (Spider-Man Video Games for PS2).

Hiro-san,

Just wanted to say hello.

After you leave Las Vegas, I suggest you toward the city of Austin in the state of Texas on your way west to New York City. There is good music, good food, and friendly people. Might make for a nice rest stop.

Enjoy your road trip, but be careful on your adventure!

I almost forgot...
I saw someone ask who are Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru.

They were Luke Skywalker's foster parents.
(for those who don't know)

Posted By cyberyang | 11:26 AM

Hiro-
You really need to play it safe for now on.
If you encounter another incident where someone's life is in danger, save them BUT DON'T STICK AROUND. I really feel things are going to get hectic for you.
If you encounter an enemy, then PLEASE freeze time and run away. In their eyes...you will vanish into thin air.(very effective)
Most importantly:
Please be careful. You will not find any "phoenix downs."

There will be a time when this blog won't be a safehaven for you. You never know who will be watching.
Good luck.

Hiro, practice hard and become better with your abilities but remember if you face the same opponent more than once don't rely on the same trick you used the first time, they may just be expecting that... Humans can be a lot smarter than video game AI's.

Watch out for Ando-san, he seems like a good friend to come all this way with you. (However much he refuses to say 'Oh, my!') Perhaps he should get a gun incase someone discovers your powers and tries to get to you through him, or incase you guys run into trouble when you're low on MP.

Who are Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru?

^^two_powers

PS: remember, run from your fights whenever possible. I don't want to see you get hurt for no better reason than simple pride. This isn't a game.

keep headin East (maybe you should divert to Texas soon okay?)

Posted By DaanieBoy | 10:03 AM

Hiro, when you meet the Sandman close your eyes wide.

  Posted By Mrs.Strizzay | 09:36 AM

Hey, you've obviously played Chrono Trigger, but have you played Chrono Cross?!?!

Posted By TheMagicHobo | 09:13 AM

Posting this again because I didn't see the other entry.

Hiro--

Drive carefully.

Do not get out of the car in the desert. There are scorpions, snakes, and gila monsters out there (think of any Western you've ever seen--THAT's where you are!)

Also, if you are actually going to gamble at all while in Vegas, go to the casinos one block OFF the Las Vegas Boulevard strip (on the east side). They have better odds.

I wish you the best of luck, Hiro. While you are focusing on developing your powers, try using them for unexpected results--if you can teleport through time AND space, for instance, then if you (and anyone else you run into) ever opens a door and finds someone on the other side with a gun and they shoot you--just concentrate and bounce back a few seconds. Or bounce back a few second AND move yourself behind the shooter so you can catch him off guard.

Think laterally--don't be a McFly and have trouble thinking 4th dimensionally.

And watch out for someone named "Sylar". Can't say more without bringing you unwanted attention.

Hey--did you ever read a translation of the novel "Snow Crash" by Neal Stephenson? The main character in his book is named "Hiro Protagonist", because he is:

a) The "Hero" of the novel (play on words, at least in English)
b) The Protagonsit (or main focus) of the novel.

If you ever need a secret identity, I'd go with 'The Protagonist'. It'd be a good sci-fi reference for you (since Snow Crash is a sci-fi fantasy).

See, some of us have already had to go to the secret identities--hence the name I'm using.

Some people just can't stay in touch with reality.

Look, Hiro, if you're going to be in Vegas, be careful. The girls in the short skirts will rob you, don't trust anyone with gold teeth, and DON'T, under ANY circumstances, ask for money. You will get it, and a whole lot of problems in the process.

Also, Americans eat bad food. But cheap food. $2.99 buffet is unbeatable. But they don't serve your type of food. Nothing simple.

By the by, if you could "teleport" a suitcase full of cash by my home in the next couple days, I'd appreciate it, as would my son. :)

Everyone has some pretty good ideas when it comes to practice and using your newfound powers for making some money--you'll undoubtably need it if you're going to go cross-country, Hiro! Still, try not to go overboard. If, somehow, someone notices you moving too quickly if you slow time, or disappear and reappear somewhere else, they might take more than a passing interest! We don't want you stuck in a lab somewhere (though you'd be able to get out pretty easily, huh?)!

Sorry, Hiro - promise this is the LAST post. Don't mean to waste everyone else's space!

I want to ask - who are all you folks that keep going on about a 'show' and asking Hiro to comment on it? Last time I checked, there was WAY to much reality TV on - but nothing covering the exploits of a recent Japanese tourist.

Unless I'm missing it.

But I spend ALOT of time watching TV, so it seems unlikely. Lay off the crack, folks, and don't give the poor kid a complex. He's a hero - not a TV star.

Only Adam West is crazy enough to let that line blur.

Ando can be your Robin to your Batman! Instead of acrobatics...he can translate?

Posted By Eri | 10:10 PM

Oh, right. 'Let it ride'.

Did this get covered already? If so, sorry, Hiro.

My first impulse is to suggest to you that, while in Vegas, you use your unique abilities to make some MONEY. But I think I know your response to that pretty quick - no hero uses his abilities for such base things as profit.

This is why you'll never see a Ferengi superhero, buddy.

Basically, it's a phrase that means take what you've won and continue to bet it on the next roll of the dice or throw of the roullette wheel or whatever. Gambling - a tax on people who don't understand probability mathematics!

Anyway. Hope I'm not covering old ground. I just don't have TIME (help me out with that, Hiro?) to wade through 300 some odd posts. You're pretty freakin' popular for some guy just in the states from overseas!

Come to think of....how the heck did I find you?

Must be my destiny!

whaa it didn't post correctly ;_; Anyway basically practice freezing time and see how long you can hold it and move around and stuff just in case you need to fight and see how frequently you can freeze after another freeze and save your teleport for another time. First master the basics... yeah. I am not much help actually... @_@ be safe! and continue checking in~! ^___^

Posted By fabster | 09:43 PM

hmmm.... maybe you can practice freezing time like this(>_

Posted By fabster | 09:40 PM

Hiro - while what you're saying is a bit hard to believe, I think I can go with you on it. I'm not sure how familiar you are with William Shakespeare, but there are more things in heaven and earth than are dreamt of in MY dear philosophy. Here's to hoping you finally got your wish. If nothing else, it might mean one day I can get mine.

Thoughts on Teleportation: Einstein pretty much cemented the fact that space and time are linked - which would go a long way towards explaining why you have the ability to manipulate both. But that's the thing - being linked, you can't do one without effecting the other. XP's or not, you might not be able to teleport without effecting time as well - transversely, you might want to watch out for your Time Freezing, too. What effect could that be having on space!?

Welcome to America, my friend. If you're in Vegas, heading East, stop in Oklahoma. I'd be glad to show you around!

An idea for fighting enemies...
Stop time, and while the enemy is frozen, you can dodge attacks, and you can position yourself for your own offensive. It would be good to find a decent weapon, a lightsaber would be best, of course... Perhaps you could fight on train tracks and teleport away before you get hit and position the enemy so they get hit instead?
