Hey, guess where I'm at? I'm at New York! Times Square! Can you believe
it? It's amazing! I told you I could do it. I knew it! やったー! XD
New York kinda reminds me of Tokyo. Lots of people walking. There are
subways, no kiosks though. Many yatais. Looks like they sell hot dogs and
ice cream. Maybe they sell yaki-soba and tako-yaki too. ^_^ Oooh, better
yet, maybe they have waffle yatais!
You would think because it's called Times Square, there are lots of watches.
I wonder why it's called Times Square? It's more like Akihabara. That
would be cool if they had a maid cafe here as well. Would be funny to see
American otakus go 萌えー!
Wow, lot's of traffic on this blog. Thank you all for your support and
encouragement. Actually, I kinda feel like 電車男。 If I ever need love
advice, I know where to go! Then again, I don't think I'll ever find love.
T_T
I think someone mentioned the New York Comicon I think. If that's wrong,
sorry, sometimes the auto-translater has weird translations. It came out as
NY Comic Scandal for me. o.O When is it? Since I'm in New York, maybe I
can go to it. It would be cool to get some cheap アメコミ。
My favorite Jojo part is definitely the Joutaro adventures. I especially
liked his encounters with the D'arby brothers, the moment when he realizes
Star Platinum's real powers, and when Joseph was resurrected, and answered
"Al Yankovic" to prove he's not Dio. XD And yeah, Toriyama sensei is
awesome too. Loved him since the Dr. スランプdays.
I have seen all of Miyazaki's film. I do like them all, but I'm still a big
fan of Laputa, even though it's his early works. In this world, it's hard
not to feel like orphans many times, and I love that they get chosen and go
on an amazing adventure. His films are cool because not only is it awesome,
they always have a message. I heard when he was about to make a new film,
he always asks himself what message he wants to tell his daughter, it may
have been his niece. That's pretty cool. As for Final Fantasy, I have
played them all, even XI. MMORPGs are a time sink! I had to stop playing.
I literally was glued to my PS2 for 24 hours straight. FF VI probably holds
a special place in my heart. The Magitek stuff was cool and it was the last
of the pre-CD games. I reamember V too, because I also spent many days
grinding for the last blue magic and the dragon's whiskers. Thanks for FF XII ラスボ
ス advice!
Well, I guess I'm taking another "vacation" from work. ^_^ I'm sooo gonna
get fired this time. Maybe スタジオジブリ or Square-Enix will hire me XD
It just hit me, that I'm in New York and I'm spending all this time in an
internet cafe. o.O I'm gonna go explore the world! New York here I come!
Thanks again for all the support. It's really amazing when your dreams can
come real. I hope yours does too one day. If starts with you believing in
it and ends with you believing in it.
Spoon,
Hiro
P.S. I hope the yatais take yen. I'm a little hungry :P

Hiro, you're so funny. It's nice to see a Final Fantasy fan on TV, though! ^-^ XI sounds like so much fun, but I can't afford the monthly fees right now ;.; But I'm almost done with V! Tactics Advance is next, and VI is after that >w
Have you seen Miyazaki's son's film, Gedo Senki? It sounds like it's supposed to be pretty good! I also like Laputa! Although Howl's Moving Castle is a close second ;)

TheMagicHobo, this can be easily explained: when you post in a blog, you can chose the date of posting. Maybe Hiro thought the server was crazy and adjusted the post time to the date/time he THOUGHT it was, not unsing the date/time it REALLY was :D

Did you say Comicon?? I got invited to that, in the Javit Center. I lost my friend twice because it was so crowded. Grrrrr I wish I had your powers. Stop time and teleport to find Eva. Somewhere... Oh well I found her later.
And since I've never been to Tokyo, I gues it looks somewhat like New York City. Hmmmm... I gotta pay more attention the next time I'm there.
My brother shares the same interest in final fantasy. He hasn't been glued to the screen for 24 hours yet, but he's getting close. This calls for another sleepless night. Where's my coffee? Gonna stunt my growth with that big time.
And dude, don't give up on finding love. There's always someone out there. Trust me.
Don't worry about getting fired. Or about being late. Subways and trains in New York are NEVER on time. Getting to NYC was a hassle because the train was 10 minutes late. I'd give anything to have a train only 14 seconds late. I'm gonna talk to the head of the MTA on that one. Or, you could just teleport to work the next time, or travel back in time so you're not late. Wayy cool man.

I think it's awesome that you like Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. Sadly, that manga is not as popular here in the U.S. as it is in Japan. They even started it with the Jotaru adventures in the U.S. since U.S. fans are more familiar with it than they are with the earlier parts of the series.
Do you think that being a Jojo fan is the reason why you have power over time?

Dude, great Tick reference! It's just fun to say. "Spooooooon!"
FFVI's my favorite FF, too, never really saw what made FFVII so insanely popular. Here's a neat trick I found to bypass the Offering's downside. Try using Setzer's dice weapons, they don't get divided damage.
By the way, if you want a great MMORPG that doesn't make you spend twenty hours or more on stuff, try City of Heroes, although I suppose that it won't be much different from your real life, now. Try finding Nightcrawler while you're in New York, you can have a teleport race.

What's your fave thing to do Hiro-kun? Does it make you feel special to have your powers?
I really admire what you said regarding being different and unique from everybody else. Although I don't know the exact term for the culture stereotyping, I know Japanese people have a saying that if a nail stands out, it has to be hammered down. Meaning being someone that is different from others, goes against the flow is usually frowned upon in Japanese society.
I hope your powers will help you with that and just continue being you.
Gambare, Hiro-san!
Ps.

Also, since you can turn back time and teleport yourself anywhere (get to have these days with gas prices!), can you also do forward in time?? Have you tried that? Looking forward to watching the show again tonight!

Square Enix would be a great move! Also very good pick, Final Fantasy 6, it's defintly one to play over and over. Give 4 another shot, you'd enjoy it. Good luck mastering your skills. Just think of it like a final fantasy game, the more you practice, the more you'll level up.

What is ameyomi? Or did I read it wrong? I don't know very much Japanese. Anyway, about the FFs... I personally feel that, if FFVI does hold a special place in your heart, it should be for a combination of the music, character development, depth and breadth of the game, and espers... Magitek was cool, but not that cool. And the pre-CD thing doesn't mean much except that owning an original cartridge is like money in the bank. And for FFV, blue magic just didn't do it for me... I was more inclined to have everyone try to master all the jobs and to unlock all of the jobs. Plus finding all the pianos and spells... honestly, the blue magic isn't all that important to the game. I totally agree with your comment on FFXI, though. I had to quit it too. And I still kinda miss my RDM65/WHM52... I had just started getting my AF... oh well.
Liked the post!

Konnichiwa!
Hiro is my Hero! Yeah, I know...Corny...BUT TRUE!
T-T I would love to go to Tokyo..I dislike where I live. You have to travel forever just to reach any good Manga stores.
When I save the money, I am traveling to Japan. It is a must in my life.
Anime and Manga are the best things ever invented! I'm obsessed! o.O
Anywho...Congrats on bending time and space! So cool! Good luck in New York!

Hey, now that you can successfully bend time & space, maybe you should go to the End of Time - it's a pretty good place to chill, I hear :p

ヒロ大好き!
皆と同じじゃなくてもいいよ.特別何って最高でしょう.
Don't worry about getting fired. Unless you're haken shain...Otherwise, you don't have to worry. People will just avoid you in the lunch line and give you all their dirty work.
I'm just jealous that you have your own どこでもドアー. That's better than a Star Trek transponder anyday!

NBC, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING ABOUT THIS SHOW, HEROES!! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE EVERY SINGLE DAMN THING ABOUT IT!! I REALLY BELIEVE THAT THERE IS A HERO INSIDE EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US. SOME HAVE IT BURIED DEEP DOWN INSIDE AND OTHERS ARE EXACTLY LIVE THE DEFINITION OF A HERO. IM SURE OTHERS WOULD AGREE.

こんにちわヒロくん♪
私はアメリカ人ですけど二年前から東京に住んでいます。NYより東京がトテモ面白いから、どうしてアメリカに行きました?
Hiro, what do you think is so great about New York? From experience, I say that Tokyo is a much more cultural, interesting place to live. There are so many things to do here.
As someone who likes comics, anime, science fiction and the like, don't you find that there is much more readily available in Tokyo than in New York? Not to mention that in New York, aren't you afraid to walk alone at night? New York has always felt so dangerous to me.

I just want to let you know that as an American who has seen 電車男, I sincerely hope this does not run out of avaliable posting space. Or cause you any major problems because of who might be reading this. However, if 電車 could find love, then so can you.
As for Maid Cafes, I am pretty sure we don't have any. I think the closest we get is Hooters, but that isn't what you want. There are Gothic Lolitas here that have tea parties and go to Anime conventions, but that's not the same thing either.
I am an X-Men and Star Trek fan myself. Shadowcat and Spock are two of my favourite characters. I am glad to hear that you've boldly done what no man has done before.

It'd be nice if there'd be Maid Cafes in Tokyo, but as far as I know, there aren't any. TT^TT And the only kaitenzushi place I know of is in Maryland, near Washington, DC. Maybe if you get hungry for sushi, you can teleport yourself there?
(笑) Part Three of JoJo's Bizarre Adventures is totally awesome^^/ Joutarou really showed that he was incredibly smart and sly during his meeting with the D'Arby brothers. マジすごい。
I used to think that Times Square would have a huge clock somewhere, like a clock tower, when I first came to the USA. XD Go explore\^o^/ There's a BookOff near the New York Public Library.^_~ お楽しみ。

Haha likewise dude!
Anyways, Hiro-san you're the coolest otaku/sarariman on tv! Gambatte ne! SupaHiro ikkimashou!!!
Speaking of Densha otoko, Gonzo's Getsumen Toheiki Mina anime is going to air soon (but I guess you know that, LOL)! Woot!
Oh, got any recommendation for the next season's anime listing, Hiro-san?

Yaki-soba? Dude, you're in New York. You could have anything you wanted! :O Try something new! Be adventurous, like Locke. And no, people tend not to take yen in America~
Personally Final Fantasy VI and VII are my favorites. I think the new ones are pretty, but a bit boring during the extremely long cut scenes, I like actually playing and fighting battles!
If you'd like to hear random Americans say random things in Japanese, go to an anime convention! I hear there's a few big ones coming up on the east coast.
I hope you're having a fun time in New York! And try to stay away from raw sushi sold in deli places. Go to a proper restraunt or just buy cooked. My friend almost ended up in the hospital after buying some from a cheap minimart.
Much love!

Hey, Hiro! Welcome to the U.S.! If you ever get the chance, teleport yourself down here to Alabama and enjoy the Southern hospitality and food!
However, if you're still thriving for Japanese cuisine, we have sushi bars in our grocery stores now.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy your "trip" here. ^_^

Welcome to New York! Ok, I'm not in NY myself, but still..
My name is a power company in NY! :P
I've been on the Ginza, that's what New York is most like. Other parts of Tokyo are not as crowded.

Great show! The best I've seen for a long time. And yeah, Hiro is the funniest character in the show.
"after getting a high score on a video game, it will invite me to an elite space battalion to save Earth from an intergalactic war"
Can someone tell me wich novel this was? I think I read it like 8 years ago but don't remember the writer or the title. (The first thread is too crouded to ask it there.)
Live long and prosper :)

Uwaaaaah! I would love for there to be a maid cafe in NYC!!! I don't know if that particular wave of awesome has hit the US yet, totaly let me know if you find one!
If you have some free time to kill Time Square is the best place to do it! I think the Comicon is only one weekend a year, but if you explore there's a Kinokuniya bookstore by the Rockafeller center and they would be able to tell you about good American comic stores.
Keep believing in yourself, I'm rooting for you!

Hehe, and you moved because of all the spam you were getting on your old blog. We can't help but comment ^^
Love ... is love. For some it's easy to find... my parents have been together since high school, and others... well... sorry, I don't think I at least will be much help in that area.
You should probably find a currency exchange somewhere... I don't know about New York, but here in Canada they're sometimes in malls.
MMORPGs really are time sinks, I generally stay away from them but have recently gotten hooked on a pair of free ones. 'Silk Road Online' and 'Mythwar'. I wonder if they program subliminal message into these games just to make people play more...
Well I hope everything work out well for you in the end. In life, and with your job.
